Heads-up that I'm still mostly awol on Discord, so please excuse my radio silence to many of you over there a little longer. But a little interest check: if I made a post with some free .PDFs (I can also include .EPUB, 'cause I know some prefer it) downloads for numerous of the DA books/comics, with the intention of having a full list, and kept it updated— would that be of interest?

Why did no one tell me rpgs with character creators are the world's greatest invention. I love making a little guy and getting to play a game with them. Anyway here's my Rook, Felanaris, Thedas' silliest soldier and Lace Harding's he/they wife.

Talassan Thorne, Grey Warden and actual puppy. XD
I was not 100% sold on him until I got him in the game, now the longer I play the happier I am with him. \o/
I feel like it's important to add that he has TWO THREE griffon tattoos under that armor. >.>
I may eventually go back to the start with subtitles turned off just to get better early screenshots Idk.
He picked up new armor already and it is snazzy-looking.
He is. Not getting along that great with Harding yet and I really hope that changes later. Because baby.
I haven't said much about his backstory yet but that turned out to be a good thing because he was originally going to be warrior but I wanted to play a spellblade too much so he's a mage. Which is going to change a few things so I will work it all out and see about an "About" post soon. >.>
I honestly don't know how much I will be playing because work does not leave me enough time to do much, but like I said before we have a vacation coming up so I can see how far I can get in the story then. \o/

the way the notion of a promise between rook and lucanis changes over the course of the game and their relationship is so complex and endearing to me. from my playthrough (as a non-crow, if there's a difference):
rook promises they'll take down zara together with lucanis. he tells rook not to promise. technically that doesn't happen, and you could say that promise was broken. prior to tearstone island, rook promises they'll be here for lucanis, and again he tells them not to. but then rook's gone for weeks, presumed dead. again, a broken promise. but then rook comes back and wants him to promise that they're here and this is real, and he does. that promise doesn't break. then later, rook promises they're not going anywhere, a promise which had already been broken. but lucanis lets them promise, and rook wants that promise held against them. that promise also doesn't break.
there's so much to be said and discussed about it and i don't think it comes down to one reason, but just some possibilities:
in lucanis' mind, has his worst case scenario already happened? so now with rook back, does he let these promises happen? there was so much he didn't say or do because he was afraid to lose them, only to lose them anyway. so now he'll say and do anything while rook is with him and here. rook has become priority despite all he's known and been through.
is it more that, having been a part of the antivan crows since birth, he's been raised and trained not to trust or rely on many, if anyone. but as a crow, his life is little more than contracts and sworn oaths. would he promise to rook, but not have them promise in return? only when there's so much on the line and no promise of tomorrow, worse than usual in his line of work, does he let them promise just this once?
is it because maybe, just maybe, if rook can make it back to him again and again despite everything - the prison of regret, arlathan, weisshaupt, gods, even him - maybe there's hope? that they can find a way and be safe and together, even when so much of their lives involves death and deception?
or is it merely them finally just fully giving themselves to one another without fear or question of each other. to be completely vulnerable for a change. to have that with someone in their lives they can trust completely. to love and be loved.
i've spent the last 30 hours (my laptop begs for death) putting together a lucanis gifset and once i can finally think of the caption it is so over for me

Objective Best Rooks for Each Companion Romance
Just finished my first full playthrough of Veilguard, so I now feel qualified to talk about the best/funniest rook race/class/faction combos for each companion romance. As always, feel free to argue if you want, but remember at the end of the day my opinions are always right (Government Mandated: this is a joke)
(PS: Race opinions may not be included, sue me. Also, light spoilers below, obviously. I'm pretty sure I got all the spoiler tags, but here's your fair warning just in case.)
Bellara: Grey Warden rogue. The bodice ripper girlie deserves a roguishly charming parter who is also a little dark and tortured, as a treat. Dating a Grey Warden feels like as close as Dragon Age gets to dating a superhero (but like, a broody one) and I think Bellara would love that dynamic. I have no strong opinions on race, but we'll say Qunari.
Taash: Elf Mournwatcher Mage. I may be biased, but I just finished a Mournwatcher Taash run, and seeing the way they talk about necromancy with Rook compared to Emmrich is so funny. Besides I think they'd enjoy a little goth elf to throw around.
Harding: The same combination as your inquisitor. Nothing better to me than establishing Harding having a strong type. Also very funny to imagine the inquisitor meeting Rook, the new partner Harding keeps telling them about, and they're a little too similar. Make Lace a little weirder and more fucked up (affectionate), she deserves it.
Davrin: Lord of Fortune Rogue. I see your "Davrin doesn't like the Crows because they're killers for hire" and raise you, faction of pirates and thieves that are literally just in it to beat people up and get as much loot as possible. It would be like if Isabella and Blackwall were a couple. I rest my case.
Emmrich: Mourn Watcher Mage. Listen, I know I already did this one, but let me be a little lazy. Admittedly, I am not an old man yaoi enjoyer (though I believe in their beliefs). So this one is mostly based around the idea of you Rook leaving to save the world, and ending up romancing the man who would've been their necromancy doctorate advisor.
Neve: Veil Jumper Warrior. Hear me out here, I'm obsessed with that one Neve voice line that reveals she knows nothing about the outside. Give her a wild child ranger-coded partner who lives in the cursed magic woods and would speedrun winning a season of Survivor. Make her have to go on hiking dates, it's enrichment.
Lucanis: Shadow Dragon Mage. Look, I know this is just Neve in a different font. But I'm obsessed with that Taash line about Lucanis and Neve dating where she implies their relationship has a predator-prey dynamic because he's a mage killer. Not that Lucanis is that kinky, but a Rook can imagine. Even if it ends up the other way, I'm all game for a short king magehunter getting tied up by his mage-dom.
Honorable Mention: I think it would be hilarious to romance Taash as an AFAB-Nonbinary Qunari Lord of Fortune. Just helping your hot coworker speedrun all of your own past life experiences. Please let me know if you've done this, and if it was worth it.

I have been obsessed, thinking about your LI in Dragon age The Veilguard. How they cope with Rook being gone, especially Emmrich, who is supposed to be the fade expert.
What does he do when he can’t use his knowledge to save the one he loves?
So I wrote some angst about it. With a kind ending because I’m not completely heartless!
The idea to craft another dagger is borne of pure desperation. He knows it’s unlikely to work, but he has to try something. Sitting around is out of the question. The team is desperate for any type of direction, any sort of hope, and Emmrich quickly begins handing down a list of items he needs.
He and Harding go to Isana Negat. It’s full of darkspawn and blight, but it’s the only place he knows they have a chance of finding Lyrium pure enough to begin. He can’t even touch the glowing substance directly, has to ask Harding to carry it for him, but it doesn’t matter. He knows Rook would do whatever it took to save him.
She wasn’t supposed to die before him. Not after that ridiculous fight they had. Not after everything he still wants to say, all the adventures they had yet to have. The tears are so common now he barely notices when they start and stop, only becoming frustrated when they blur his vision and smudge his frantic writing.
Everyone tiptoes around him as he works, his once immaculate study is strewn with books and scribbles of half-formed theories on parchment. Even Taash is trying their best. They know all about things unsaid. How it tears you up inside.
Manfred has discovered that he is most useful tidying up and bringing tea. The others pass the skeleton material and food to bring to the distraught necromancer. Emmrich is much less likely to snap at his beloved skeleton friend.
Less being the operative word.
Most attempts to console him stop within the first two weeks.
He’s taken to carrying a chess piece with him. Stolen —borrowed, he reminds himself— from Rook’s own set. There are indents in his palm from worrying the wooden castle and it’s not enough but it’s all he has.
He’s exhausted, his hands are burned and raw from collapsed spells and the proximity to this much pure Lyrium. Even those cut off from the fade, the dwarves and the tranquil, cannot be near this much pure Lyrium for extended periods. For a mage as studied as he is, it’s pure and focused misery to even be in the same room. Agonizing enough that he, too, wishes he could be cut from his nightmares. Sleep is fleeting, painful, and filled with images of Rook, promising to speak with him after the mission.
The physical pain ebbs once the last of the sealing spells settle and make the dagger safe to handle with bare hands. Contact with the blade still feels like electricity beneath his skin, but it’s static and not the lightning he has been battling for days now.
Lucanis brings him coffee and offers assistance, but the Crow can’t help. Not with this. The assassin gets to hold his beloved Neve close, and Emmrich feels the loss of Rook and Bellara both so keenly it’s hard to keep upright.
So when Lucanis suggests he rest. That he take a break while Rook, his Rook, is in the fade… he snaps.
The mage lights in his room flicker, letting the red of the fade bleed through. The uncontrolled magic whips the papers in his room into a frenzied whirlwind. He hasn’t lost control like this since his magic first manifested, and when Lucanis reaches for his dagger out of instinct, a dark part of him wonders how far he would have to push to get the assassin to end his suffering.
The surge of magic comes to an abrupt end when strong arms tighten around him. Like a candle blown out, the wind dies and the lights shift back to cancel out the red hue. It takes a moment for his sluggish mind to wrap around the idea that Lucanis, a notorious mage killer, and recent God-killer, is hugging him.
“Emmrich. I am sorry, but this has to stop. When Rook comes back, I am not going to get my ass handed to me for letting you work yourself to death.”
Of course. His Rook is the picture of kindness. Of caring. How many times has he received a gentle chiding to let things lie until the morning? If his love knew how he was pushing himself…
And the picture in his mind is so wildly clear, of Rook dealing out a tongue lashing so severe as to make a man who killed a God cower, that he breaks in two.
Emmrich’s composure crumbles and he sobs as Lucanis holds him. All of the emotions he’s been holding back from pure exhaustion, using work to push everything else back… it all comes out and the Crow before him understands what it’s like.
They stay there for a while, until the older man stops shaking. Emmrich goes to wipe his tears and finds more beard growth than he has ever allowed in his adult life. How long has he been here, agonizing? Surely it has only been days and not weeks.
Lucanis’s voice is rough as he speaks. “Go and lay down, my friend.” The assassin clears his throat and the guilt in his eyes is as impossible to miss as the redness of held back tears. He clasps Emmrich on the shoulder. “Neve has an idea about the enchantments on the dagger, now that it’s safe to handle. I’ll have a cup of coffee and food ready when you wake up. Then you can shave that thing off of your face so Rook can actually recognize you when we save her.“
“Lucanis… thank you. I apologize for my outburst earlier.”
“Don’t thank me, I just drew the short straw. I can not prove it, but I’m sure Taash cheated,” he says with a small amount of forced levity. Lucanis moves to leave and then pauses, sighing deeply to add, “And… It could have been Neve. Rook saved her. Maker forgive me for being grateful, but I owe Rook too many debts not to save her now.”
The air is lighter than it has been in days as the dagger leaves his room. Emmrich does, indeed, go to lay down. Thankfully he only feels the crushing weight of guilt for this break for a single moment before his exhausted mind shuts down.
As always, his dreams are harried. Visions of Rook running, shattered statues of Bellara and Davrin swirling around her as she climbs an endless spiral staircase.
When he wakes, it’s impossible to tell how much time has passed, but it’s too long. Lucanis keeps his word, and there is food and coffee waiting for him. He doesn’t taste it, only eats so that his magic is at full capacity.
His appearance in the mirror is worse than he feared. Haggard and dingy. There’s a moment where he considers using magic to clean up his beard, but remembers how he lectured Rook on the importance of rituals, and so he retrieves his brush and razor.
He’s halfway through his bath when he catches the thread of an idea. It unspools beautifully, and he’s barely able to wrap a towel around his waist before he has a quill in his hand, still dripping water across the floor. If he could… yes!
A wild idea, but he has to try. His usually immaculate handwriting is long gone, and he manages to dress as the idea finishes coalescing. He grabs the parchment, ink barely dry, and runs into the library, calling for the remnants of the Veilguard.
They look at him with confusion as he explains, but he’s not sure if the explanation is beyond their depth or if he’s raving like a madman, but they gear up to support him anyway.
Lucanis gently points out that his shirt isn’t buttoned correctly, and Taash suggests that he doesn’t smell as he usually does, and that perhaps his cologne might help Rook find him.
He very nearly launches into an explanation of fade physics and the chemical composition of scent and its inability to travel through a non physical space, but thankfully realizes the comment for the sentiment it was meant to carry.
The chess piece sits on his desk as they set out to find their Rook.
When her hand clasps his arm through the fade tear, when she tumbles on top of him and knocks the air from his lungs, he swears to never let her go again.
Emmrich has never considered himself a selfish man, but he keeps a hand on Rook. On his Rook as she reorients herself. As she recounts how she escaped a prison built for Gods.
He knows he should let her rest. Knows she needs time to recover, but he takes her to the necropolis anyway. He recognizes her indomitable spirit, has acquainted himself with the differences between those living and otherwise, but he has to be certain that this Rook is the one he fell in love with and not some spirit that has taken her form.
And once he is, he pulls her close, apologizing profusely, through tears at times, for how long it took to find her. And she forgives him, because of course she does. And he kisses her as though it is the first and last time.
Thankfully, she seems just as desperate to assure herself that he’s here as well. Through the heat and sweat of mortal embrace, they pass what could possibly be their last night alive in the comfort of each other’s arms.

sorry, i havent finished veilguard yet (accidentally got distracted and replayed inqusition) but im finally back to it and emmrich’s romance and i am so obsessed with emmrook and the idea of both of them having been too much for people in the past but are perfectly enough for each other.
emmrich, full of love, a hopeless romantic, but more hardened by the years and less optimistic than rook, particularly among the possible end of the world and ancient gods and such. and then there’s rook (especially a mourn watch rook). she has been alone much of her life, but she so desperately wants someone to care for her, to treat her tenderly, and even throughout all her failures in her romantic endeavors, and again, always being too much for people, she sees the dapper necromancer and resolves that he will be hers. infatuated from the very first moment.
and emmrich is just entirely caught off guard by this. that someone like rook could be interested in him. oh my god. am i making any sense. i know this has all been said before its not anything new, but im just so obsessed with them. two sappy romantics who have always been too much for everyone else find each other and they are perfect for each other. they are soulmates.

Me: Well. That was 88 hours of desperation for a few seconds of payoff. Now that I've finished the game, I can be normal again. Whoo. Ten years. And it's over. And now there's room for something else!
Me, ten seconds later: time to watch a full Solas romance compilation and see everything you missed before. Time to start back at origins and make every choice through the lens of knowing it's all building up to the love story you never asked for but are now being reminded that you obsessed over for a solid few years. Time to play Veilguard again to find every moment where the masterpiece that is the inquisiton score peeks through (The Lost Elf oh my God).
I tampered down every expectation, team, and even the tiny bit we were given is dragging me right back in.
Close enough, welcome back Solavellan hell 💀🥚🌿🤚

It is so incredible to me how Solas and Lavellan have their own code to communicate to each other. Not only explicitly in lines of dialogue, like the elvhen they use in a room full of people just to have their private moment, or the hallelujah cadence they use in certain moments (like when you meet the Inquisitor the second time).
I'm talking about Lost Elf and the music that plays in the "Atonement" romanced ending in Veilguard. Two instruments having a dialogue while time is running. How the tune changes when Lavellan appears in the scene, shifting from the big Dread Wolf vibes to a new arrangement (dialogue?) of the Lost Elf. The music even stops for one second.
I'm obsessing over this little detail, I know, but I think it shows, even if you don't understand Solas or Lavellan body language to each other in the finale, what is happening. They're having the same debate all over again but it is different, the music is telling you it's different. More elements influence it. Lavellan knows better now, the violin is different and it doesn't have this desperate vibe to it.
I always admired Hans Zimmer since I was a little kid and getting to play Veilguard, save Solas from his worst fear and Hans Zimmer taking his time to do something specific for the solavellan ending makes me feel like it was my birthday.

Watching the scene of Harding where she talks about Isatunoll, does anyone else get the sense that her role was initially written for Dagna?
Let me preface that Lace is lovely and I'm very happy her fans get so much more content and a full romance with her and I hope it's everything you dreamed. But I just get the strong sense that her role was initially planned for Dagna before they ever started writing for Veilguard.
Firstly, as others have commented, Harding was born and raised in Redcliffe, so it comes as quite a surprose that she's a follower of the Stone and concerned by What The Dwarves Have Lost. I mean sure, it doesn't necessarily contradict anything established about her, but it was certainly never set up in any previous games with even a single hint. Dagna was from Orzammar however, and it would have made perfect sense for her to cling onto her culture in some way even if she left her home to pursue her special interest.
Which brings me to dwarves with magic. Up until now, and them introducing Harding as caring about the Stone etc., it wouldn't have made that thematically impactful a narrative for the Scout from the Hinterlands who joined the Inquisition to have an adventure to be connected to Titan magic... I'd have expected her arc more to be about how adventures aren't always fun and you can actually get hurt pretty bad in the big bad world out there or something along those lines maybe. You know who was set up perfectly for it though and would have absolutely lost it if they got magic? Someone obsessed with magic all her life and actually getting to experience it for herself now. At the cost of learning some rough stuff about her culture.
I didnt't really get the sense in DAI that Harding was meant to be more than that plot device to introduce areas at the time they wrote DAI (again, no value attached here, I just don't think they planned for anything more at that point. The devs said themselves they were surprised by how strong the fan reaction was for her). But when they brought back Dagna no matter your choices in DAO and gave her all those mysterious lines about feeling mountain-tall and lyrium and tranquil... I very much did get the sense that they were leaving crumbs for her to come up again in a titan plotline.
(And least importantly, they even seem to have given Harding Dagna's signature absent-minded rambling? DAI Dagna always seemed way more confident and verbally sparring with you than what we've seen so far for Veilguard imo.)
Idk I just feel like maybe this was concepted for Dagna initially but was changed to Harding early on because of the popularity her character got.
Edit: I should maybe make clearer, that I don't think they like rewrote Dagna as Harding at the last minute or anything like that, but that they had planned this in their little mysterious red book at the time of writing Inquisition and leaving hints for the future and changed it when they actually got to writing the companions for Veilguard because of the fan response to Harding and because they didn't want 2 female dwarf companions when one with a romance was already groundbreaking but they needed that companion tie-in to the titans.

Notes and thoughts on some of the new companion information:
I wonder what clan Davrin was raised in. Is it a known named one, or one we haven't encountered/heard of before? He went to be a Grey Warden - maybe his clan wandered in the Anderfels? Dalish have been known to live in the lands called the Anderfels:
In the far north, where the hills wander the plains and the earth is eternally baked beneath the uncaring sun, the lands which the shemlen call Anderfels, a clan of our people lived, struggling to survive the Blight. Iloren was their keeper. A hunter in his younger days, crafty as any wolf, he led his people always just ahead of the darkspawn who chased them. But the old hunter knew that even halla cannot run forever. They must turn and fight, or be run down.
Davrin would "rather make history than reflect on it"; Bellara is "obsessed" with uncovering the secrets of ancient Elvhenan. there is a bit of contrast there and so I'm curious to see their similar and differing perspectives on elf-related topics. (I hope they are friends).
I just love that Bellara has a strong sense of self, a clear idea of who she is, and a clear idea of what she wants. we love to see it.
Neve not believing in the superiority of mages, being born and raised in a working-class neighborhood of Minrathous: you can see how this ties to what was said about Neve in the SDCC panel -
John: "So Neve, as you can see in the video, is one of the first companions that you encounter in Dragon Age: The Veilguard. She’s from Tevinter, Minrathous specifically. And anyone who’s played Dragon Age before knows that we’ve always talked about Minrathous, we’ve always talked about Tevinter, so we wanted to have a character who showed, not the parts of Tevinter that we’ve touched on before, you know, obviously slavery is a big part of it, it’s a mageocracy, but somebody who was pushing back, fighting back against that." Jessica: "I love her loyalty, I love her dedication, I love how much she loves Docktown and its people and how she really sees a different vision for Tevinter than, as John said, than what’s previously been depicted. And she’s really really fighting for those people, and she loves those people, and so yes she’s cynical, and yes she’s kinda tough and brusque and all these other things, but when they say there’s a heart of gold, there really, like to have that kind of a passion and dedicate your life to something like that, I think that, that’s my favorite part about her."
Lucanis, please level up from specializing in executing powerful mages to specializing in executing powerful mage god-kings (pls. we are in danger).
In Tevinter Nights, a Vint says of Lucanis after The Wigmaker Job, "They're already calling him 'the Demon'". It turns out that his full title is "The Demon of Vyrantium". (hh, it makes him sound like a speed-demon, a boy-racer tearing up the streets and drifting). of course, this is likely a reference to what he did during The Wigmaker Job, a story which was set in the Tevinter city of Vyrantium. the body count from that party was over forty people (all Venatori, sympathizers or 'I'm okay with it'-izers), including Venatori blood mage and sick wigmaker Ambrose Forfex.
I love that Emmrich is serious about his duty to protect innocents. :') a real kind-hearted gentleman.

tagged by @emmg and hell yeah (let me buy your Rook a gun, she deserves an arsenal, if she has zero fans I am dead, Emmrich deserves every last thing coming his way, in the worst way possible.)
and I'm at a loss on who to tag, but if you see this DO IT, TAG ME, tell me all about your Rook
My Rook Thorne is just that, my brain calls him Rook Worne sometimes because he's been through it. and I'm writing what I like because this is reference for me now
LUST. desire for connection. pursuit of pleasure. emotional intelligence. obsessive. lovesick. one-night stands. seductive encounter. flirtatious conversation. erotic party. seductive attire. revealing clothing. passionate gaze. provocative makeup. sensual expressions. suggestive gestures. flirtatious smiles. lingerie. love letters. perfumes. provocative behavior. love poems. erotic art.
→ He’s only had light experience with serious relationships. Plenty of dalliances. Life itself has never been stable enough to consider entering much of a stable relationship. He went from street kid, pickpocket, mugger, unwilling Grey Warden, to Veilguard. He only ever expected something sexual when flirting with Emmrich (the man screams BDE okay, he wanted in on that). The romance Emmrich responded with awakened something, turns out he just never had the time or attentions to go full Romeo. He’s in deeeeeep
GLUTTONY. indulgence in experiences. savoring moments. hospitality. generosity. hedonism. culinary expertise. wine-tasting. excessive snacking. overloaded plates. excessive portions. bloated stomachs. messy eating. greasy fingers. full tables. indulgent spreads. overflowing cups. satisfied expressions. wine bottles. just can't get enough. fast food wrappers.
→ He ate next to nothing in Kirkwall and gruel with the Grey Wardens. He loves food, more than that he likes sharing. Knows what it’s like to starve, and he’ll always finish a plate, but only after checking the plates of others, big ‘older sibling’ energy. But he doesn’t share chocolate.
ENVY. motivation. competitive spirit. strategic planning. observational skills. bitter rivalry. contest. envious gossip. resentment-filled argument. social media jealousy. furrowed brows. clenched jaws. side-eye looks. pursed lips. tense posture. whispering behind backs. crossed arms. gossip magazines. keeping up with the joneses. the grass is always greener. feeling inadequate.
→ Major problem with the nobility. Maybe he’s envious of their easy lives and comfort and lack of struggle, but he likes who he is and where he came from. He hates those prick bastards and how they treat people like things and don’t look you in the eye. He’ll bad mouth them any day and is causing problems at the Necropolis and feeling zero shame. He spends a lot of time playing board games with Johanna and delivering her all the latest rumors while getting all the history. They have plans.
GREED. resourcefulness. entrepreneurial spirit. negotiation. materialistic. aggressive investment. lavish spending spree. resource-hoarding. get-rich-quick schemes. auction-bidding war. property acquisition. piles of money. overflowing wallets. luxury items. locked safes. penny-pinching. rare collectibles. selfishness. unwillingness to share.
→ Very resourceful. Never had much, can make a lot of things go a long way and can negotiate for plenty. Saves as much as he can, would be that coupon guy and picking where to eat because hey there is a deal. He wants property because he wants to develop community alright. And he adores old books and art stuff, but would never buy it. If rich or noble people own it, he’s stealing that shit.
SLOTH. calmness. stress management. nonchalance. relaxation techniques. lethargic. apathetic. inactive. lazy weekend. binge-watching marathon. neglected chores. skipped workout. long nap. lounging on the couch. missed deadlines. unkempt appearance. messy hair. pajamas. blankets. slippers. procrastination station. self-care routines.
→ He’s lived life so fast for so long that he takes advantage of a lazy weekend if it’s there. He’ll neglect the simpler chores because there are skeletons for that. Naps are a gift from whatever true gods are out there. And why would he do anything with his appearance, Emmrich loves him fine.
PRIDE. confidence. self-assurance. self-respect. dignity. public speaking. self-promotion. arrogant. conceited. egotistical. self-important. vain. boastful speech. puffed chest. raised chin. smug smiles. spotlight. tooting your own horn. showing off. refusing to admit mistakes. feeling entitled. personal branding. leadership development.
→ No one ever did a thing for him until Varric. He’s very aware of that and confident in his ability to take care of himself and what he needs to. He’s had failures, lost friends, but learned very young, you have to save yourself and there’s no saving everyone. After killing gods he’s not about to let anyone look down on him for any reason. Who cares if he isn’t educated, did you stab a god? Insufferable really.
WRATH. assertiveness. decisiveness. strength. intensity. boundary setting. courage. indignant. heated arguments. road rage incident. physical altercation. angry outburst. clenched fists. glaring eyes. tense muscles. raised voices. reddened faces. aggressive gestures. stormy demeanour. intense frowns. destructive actions. broken objects. punching bag. out for blood. fists. simmering anger.
→ There is no such thing as an idle threat. Words carry meaning and he’ll answer word threats with fists. Forgave some violent rhetoric once and nearly died for it. Does not play. Horrible at de-escalating. Honestly if he’s yelling you’re fine, that’s squabbles with friends, when he’s quiet there’s going to be blood.
