Hi, did you play every AC game? If yes, in term of game plays which are the easiest? For someone without much experience in games, ty!
Not every AC game, because I can handle only so much of cookie cutter games at a time. Before I say more, lemme get this out of the way first: I played the Ezio trilogy back in 2018 because Da Vinciâs Demons was cancelled and I wanted more Da Vinci content and the white and red hoodie looks cool. In other words, I didnât play the game because itâs called Assassinâs Creed.
The AC games I played so far, by the order of which one I play first. Iâll rate gameplay by my personal preferences (because itâs the only way I know how).
Ezioâs trilogy (AC2, AC Brotherhood, AC Revelations, played in 2018): decent parkour, minimal grind (just invest in the villa and youâre a millionaire in a day or two), very story focused (perfect balance of historical and modern plots). Decent combat. The golden years of AC and I agree.
Unity (played a few months after Ezio): good parkour, medium grind (bigger map and more items to upgrade, you still get to invest in properties so it helps). Time-saver items are on sale for real money aka MTX (ew). Combat is ok, not much difference since Ezio. Historical story is meh (I donât care for Arnold because Eliseâs story is more interesting) and they completely ditched the modern plot (you think Odyssey has little modern day plot, try Unity). Buggiest AC game I encountered and I played this game 4+ yrs after launch (hold on to that thought, keep reading). Ubi spent all of their time and budget doing the interior design (which is gorgeous btw) that they have none left to fix the bugs.
Black Flag (a few months after): chasing flying papers is my favorite activity to NOT do. Grindy af (no property investment). I canât tolerate the controls for the ship so I hate everything that involves ship in this pirate game, except for sea shanties. Youâll have more fun playing this game as a pirate than an assassin. Combat feels the same since Ezio. Other mechanics are like Unity (understandable). Modern plot is minimal, but it makes bloodline irrelevant and thereâs a....soul inside a computer server that wants to possess a human body, meanwhile said soulâs husband is a maniac who has unlimited reincarnations (realism, I know). Black Flag is the gateway game that convinces me that I should stop wasting my brain cells in âwhat kinda bs realism is dis?â
Odyssey (a month after launch, bought solely because of Kassandra also when I heard Odyssey is set before the creed, oh fuck yea I donât need to sit through another rehash of Creed crap or at least minimal anyway): oh gods a breath of fresh air from the old controls where you have to hold R2 whenever you want to run and my fingers hurt sfm. Climbing is the best because the protag actually moves where you want them to move. MTX (ew). Grindy but because the combat and movements are smooth, best combat so far; I donât see Odyssey as grindy because I enjoy my time playing (also Kassandra); I platinum the game on PS4 at around 130 hrs I think, couldâve been earlier but photomode. Fun quests that I giggle whenever thinking about them (I donât remember shit about any quests in any other AC game, but then again Kassandra). People bitch about no parkour but who parkour in the 450BCE?!?!? Full disclosure: I never cared for parkour and never will. I stop caring for modern plot after how Unity and Black Flag handled it. Playing Odyssey makes me realize that I enjoy AC games more if idgaf for the AC aspect, rather, I play for the fictional historical tourism aspect. Just ditch the AC and voila, blue sky and fresh air. Playing Odyssey also makes me realize that I want a spin-off IP that focus on the Isu so we can go full fantasy. Do I need to say how pretty Odyssey is? lol
Origins (planned to play Origins first, but Kassandra. Also, I remember Amunet from AC2, but somehow we play as a dude in Ancient Egypt, Iâm not too eager to find out, despite I prefer Egyptian mythology over Greek and Iâd like to thank Yu-gi-oh for that): combat is clunky, heavy, and slow, though no need to hold R2 to run so phew. Grindy af. The bow mechanics is a decade outdated (Horizon Zero Dawn came out the same year and oh boi the difference is night and day, oh yea I played HZD before Origins. I get it the bow isnât the focus but does it have to feel like Skyrim in 2017?). Iâm glad I play this game for the Ancient Egypt (which is beautifully designed *chef kiss*) aspect and no more.Â
Syndicate (I play this along side of Origins, still havenât finished it though. Literally bought the game for Evie and I nut over Victorian fashion): combat is no different from Unity. Grindy like Black Flag and Unity. Story is meh in both historical and modern plot so far. Evie is the only reason Iâm still trying to play this game. At least the Helix outfits are included in the Gold edition of the game. Victorian London is gorgeous tho.
Valhalla (only care for this game because Eivor. Tbh after God of War and Hellblade, idc for another Viking game): game is buggy af, buggiest AC game Iâve played. Combat is like Origins but worse: the only saving grace is the finishing move & the bow mechanic hasnât been improved since Origin; I honestly would rather have combat from the Ezio games over whatever-this-is. You have to toggle a button to run now, which is dumb af because I miss Origins and Odyssey automatic run. They bring parkour back (because Vikings totally dig parkour back in the Dark Ages) as well as the-character-doesnât-move-where-you want-them-to from the older games. Chasing flying papers from black flag is back, no thx. Looting enemies is useless, but hey you get to run around to look for a key or two or THREE to get some minimal amount of materials; so imagine if 2/3 of every chest in Origins and Odyssey are locked. Oh! You have manually pick berries/food to heal, no healing potion, wtf is this half-ass RPG shit? Side quests, oh sorry World Events, arenât tracked in an open-world game (guess who hasnât been doing these bitches?). Grindy af. Iâm wasting my time looking at the skill points interface (you have 99 lv in Odyssey, 55 in Origins, 403 power in Valhalla. A game doesnât feel like grindy if you level up every 2 quests for 403 times, does it? lololol). The useless SP tree is so massive that I just donât use the skills I acquire because it takes too much time to find out which buttons to push to locate the 10 skills in this 403-dot clusterfuck, but the astronomy design is beautiful (gotta give credit when itâs due). Scummy practice from Ubi: releasing âtime-saverâ pack AFTER reviews are published. Also, who wanna bet there will be more mtx outfits than in-game outfits? Donât worry, Ubi makes inventory management cLEaNeR for you *hands over 8 outfits for an RPG game*. The free event bugs tf out of your already buggy event, but hey, youâll get a free outfit thatâs a reskin of what you already have, teeheee be grateful. Eivor is amazing but by the gods playing this game is a chore. Tbh I only play Valhalla if I donât feel like playing Ghost of Tsushima that day. Lastly, why is England so yellow like itâs Ancient Egypt?!?!? And why the sunlight moves faster than Eivorâs running at full speed? Which parts of this game does realism count?!?!?!?
Unsolicited opinion: GoT is an example of how an AC game should be and how DLCs should be handled, but with Ubisoft it will never be and Iâm so fucking glad that it is Sucker Punch Prod which handles feudal Japan with utmost respect and realism. See how âhonorâ is handled in both games and compare the writing. Ubisoft should have announced ding dong AC is dead and create a new IP, but AC is their most financially successful franchise so expect more of this MTX, I mean, grindy RPG approach with minimal narrative.Â
#every time I talk about AC I need to go play ghost of tsushima to cleanse myself#ask#anon#Assassin's Creed#ac2#ac brotherhood#ac revelations#ac unity#ac black flag#ac4#ac syndicate#ac odyssey#ac origins#ac valhalla

"sunflower garden" and joshua for the title request thing đťđđ thanku!!
âââââ Title Request 2/6 âââââ
w/c: 4.3k
a/n: I am so so sorry this took a whole eon to finish. Thank you so much for requesting and waiting for this~~ I hope this is satisfactory. Also, I donât know why this is so long when my plot is, again, questionable lololol
Sunflower is just a little price for such as little happiness. Itâs gaseous, happiness. You can smell it. Before itâs gone with the wind just like that. But itâs worth it.
You wonder what would happen if youâre to give out diamond instead. Would people look at you crazy? Lord, even with the obnoxious yellow-orange flowers in your hands, people already look at you crazy.
You are out for a walk near the Han Riverâitâs a walk for today, not a run, not biking, but a walkâhanding out one sunflower for anyone you deem needs some cheering up. Thereâs a little plastic tag attached to each flower; youâd take your time to write a short encouragement to hide inside it whenever you wait for the florist assistant to prepare your regular. And then youâd go on your way, hunting for gloomy people on your stroll. But thatâs it, as long as the stock is still available.
There are people whoâd be weirded out by your sudden involvement in their sweet miserable life. No offense. Really. You think all lives are just the same: sweet and simultaneously, miserable. Sometimes, not even sweet at all. But there are others whoâd be pleasantly surprised.
There was this one kid from two weeks ago. She had cried, you didnât know why, but you swept in anyway with your sun in the smiling flowersâplease, excuse the poor attempt at replacing a knight in the shining armor. You had continued your pilgrimage after you wiped her tears dry and made sure that she smiled. But when youâre about to start on your religious self-reflection on the bridge, facing the holy sunset of the Han River, someone tugged at the hem of your baby blue sundress.
It was the little girl.
She stood in front of you, a bright smile challenging the sun behind you and a fresh baby breath posy inside both of her tiny palms. You fell on your knees and pulled her in a hug. Lord, you needed a hug. Before you pulled away, you noticed a shadow of a man standing a few feet away under the shade. It mustâve been her father, youâd thought and couldnât help but think that sunflower needed to cost a lot more than it was.
That was the one time youâd felt the magic at its strongest. And just like humans did, you craved for more.
This kind of outing usually ends with you donating some water to the Han River. But that day, it didnât. After the little girl ran towards the man, youâd turned around to face the sun with teary eyes. But you didnât cry. You felt happy. And happiness was every drop of water swimming in the river in front of you. You just stood there, until it swallowed whole the dying sun.
However, today, you cry.
Itâs not an ugly cry. People would think youâre a lunatic if they saw you like that. Itâs just water, tears, streaming down your eyes and into the river. Your gaze follows the infinitesimal droplet giving in to gravity. You smile. You always think that youâre such a bad person. But now you feel like the best altruist, donating water for the Han River.
Lord, what a joke.
You see your tears falling to your arms hanging from the rail and then continuing their journey somewhere you canât keep your eyes on. They rarely even fall into the river, just a very insignificant amount does. And now youâre acting as if at least a quarter of Han River is your tears.
You wish everyone was that little girl. Or her father. Â You wish that after almost a year doing the same set of activities would make people recognize you and finally return the hospitality with a simple hi or a ghost of an acknowledging smile. No one besides the people from the flower shop does. And as you cry, you think about why nobodyâs ever walked to you to ask the reason for your tears.
Maybe they know not to meddle in such a sacred act of crying. Or maybe after almost a year, they know to let you be because youâll stop eventually and go home. Until the day comes again for you to repeat the habit.
Maybe you should actually change sunflower with diamonds hanging from your neck and circling every inch of your arms, spending your ten-minute walk trying to blind everybodyâs eyes. Maybe only that way would people see you. Or maybe not, since theyâd be even more blinded to see.
You chuckle at the image of you with a pair of shiny sunglasses copying a supermodel, strutting with hands spread out to make an exhibition out of the diamonds in your possession. Youâd lower the sunglasses when people look and throw one random bracelet their way and a necklace to the others. You swear youâre such a funny person, too bad nobody would stick around long enough for that side to start emerging. But then when your laughter dies, you feel pathetic. Have you been crying here because you want someone to notice? What an attention seeker.
And Joshua would have said otherwise and defended youâlike he usually hasâif only he hadnât been caught completely off guard.
Joshuaâs afternoon exercise is cycling from his neighborhood, around the Han River, and back home, the route only interrupted by a quick stop in his favorite smoothie shop. He rarely brings his friend with him because most of the time, theyâll very likely ruin his zen. Theyâd start an unnecessary race that messes with his pace and force him to pay for their smoothies and even have the nerve to blame him for the sweat their own bodies produce.
Today, heâs accompanied by Seungcheol and Soonyoung, both of which are clingyâas hell. And the amount of stress he got from his unwise decision was enough to last him half a lifetime. They had argued about who had the largest shadowâvery important, he knowsâand when Joshua pedaled faster to get ahead of them both, the disaster began.
Soonyoung was the first to realize his attempt to escape, and so he said, âSee, Shua canât take being close to you any longer. I know he only likes me.â
The guy reached his right in no time and Seungcheol, being the mature one that he is, raced him and singsong, âHe can only tolerate you because Iâm here, though.â
So thatâs how Joshua wished a truck would kindly and gently run them over.
But that much stress he could handle. The additional dose they added when they started looking at you weirdly, he couldnât.
Joshua walked out of the smoothie shop later than usual. All because his highly intelligent friends couldnât notice the urgency of his tapping foot, the urgency of wanting to be in the right moment and in the right place. He already didnât see you in his round about the Han River. Thereâs no way heâd miss you on the bridge. So he did what he knew would raise Seungcheol and Soonyoungâs interest: betting in a race.
Once they all reached the finish line, which obviously was picked by Joshua for a specific reason, Seungcheol and Soonyoung immediately noticed you and wondered aloud as to why youâre crying in front of the bridge. Soonyoung squeaked and almost shouted at you, thinking that youâre planning to jump over the bridge.
It was a fair thought. Joshua was like that the first time he saw you. Heâd hesitated to say something, so he waited. He waited with bated breath until the sun completely set and you wiped your face with your hands and left. You rode a lemon-colored bike that matched the yellow of the sunflowers in your hands. You had caught him following you home, and Joshua could only stutter out his explanation. But in the end, when the shadows of worry cleared out of your eyes, you smiled instead. And with a thank you, you gift him the last of your sunflowers.
Joshua doesnât see your bike anywhere near you, and that fact is somehow unsettling. He has come every weekend, sometimes early enough to witness you doing your sunflower patrol, to know that you only leave your bike home when you do your run. And you doing your run means that your day is worse than usual.
So today is one of those days.
And on those days, he, more than anything, wants to give you back all the sunflowers in the world.
But his friends, flanking him, are watching you with pity in their eyes. The balloon-seller who stopped Soonyoung from shouting for you earlier had told them to let you be, saying that youâve been here a lot and perhaps just like the attention people give. It had made Joshua wondered for a split second, just how many people in the park recognize you. But it was the least of his priority. Itâs the middle-aged manâs remark and Seungcheolâs question that came after he left.
Sheâs attention seeker or something?
Joshua wouldâve defended you against the balloon sellerâs comment and his friendâs question any day if itâs not for the fact that heâs too lateâif itâs not for the fact that youâve been listening to the exchange all along.
You meet Joshuaâs dark orbs and grasp the worry swarming within them. Itâs almost like the first time that you saw him, when you confronted him for following you home. Only back then, his worry was slightly muted by a hint of curiosity. And now, listening to the conversation of the men around him, you think you have an idea as to why heâs looking at you like heâs ready to throw himself under a bus.
The words that his friends said didnât hit the mark, not after you just admitted it to yourself earlier, admitted that you indeed want the attention, just not the one that people have been giving youâif they even spare you any. You know that Joshua feels horrible about his friendâs question or the sellerâs comments. Or maybe because of the fact that you heard them, you can never know.
Youâve seen him around on the weekends, Joshua. Youâve seen hovering around the bridge, watching youâor the sunset. And sometimes he might follow you to your neighborhood. You know you should be worried, but after that first meeting, youâve accepted his presence in your periphery. If only he would move a little bit to your line of vision.
Joshua never said hi. He never uttered any more word after he left with your sunflower that first night. And he blames his insurmountable stupidity for that. He likes to conjure up his ideal next meeting with you, the perfect words, the majestic setting. There would be no more of that, heâs afraid. His friends have ruined it. You had met his stare for long seconds before you turned around and left for the direction of your neighborhood. And Joshua hadnât been able to follow you because of his hellish friends. They finally noticed that his expression was made up of not only of exhaustion only when they invited him to Wonwooâs house for games.
Joshua brushed them off, but they knew. As hellish as they were, theyâre still his friends. So he told them about you. Their reaction at the end of his story, the immense guilt written in the line of their faces, was a little victory for him. But then they forced him to go to where you live and send their apology before they do it themselves since she doesnât know them yet.
And so here he is, standing in front of a house approximately a third of his in size, but of which small lawn is in much better care than his wider one. He smiles at the variety of flowers that it has, imagining you crouching in front of each one and giving them such meticulous attention. He realizes it then that he knows nothing about you other than your love for flowers. You must have spent a lot of money on flowers alone, but the house in front of him gives him the impression that you come from a more humble family. Do you work? Or are you still in school? Do you live with your parents at all? Are they still present? Suddenly, the prospect of talking to you, trying to draw an explanation of your daily ritual, seems very absurd for him, for someone who has no clue of who you are. It seems beyond personal. It seems out of the line.
Joshua grunts and knocks his head to the solid surface in front of him and let it stay there only to realize five seconds too late just what it was that he has done. He heard the running steps first and then suddenly youâre in front of him.
Joshuaâs eyes are blown wide in surprise as he takes a few scurrying steps backward.
You still have your face on the window, flipping the curtain a little bit to identify the person outside your door, but Joshua is stupefied. You were so close to him, so close that if the window isnât there, his lips probably have had brushed against your temple. This is so not the moment for him to think about such a thing, not when he couldâve broken your glass window with his head bump. Not when youâre standing on the doorway, eyes equally wide, with your almost translucent long white nightdress.
He cleared his throat. âIâm sorry, I didnât mean toââ
âIs this about your friends?â In the span of a couple of seconds, you have closed the door behind you and stood less than three feet away from him. Youâre hugging yourself. The night air must be cold for you in your nightdress, and Joshua feels a knot forming in his stomach. He canât imagine you chose to sacrifice the warmth of your house as to not let him inside is a good sign. But after he let it settled, he knows itâs the sensible option. He would be wary if you had let him in that easily, heâs still a stranger after all.
And to be frank, if you had the time to consider your action, you donât know what choice you would choose. You had been hiding under your blanket, going over the conversation you heard and kept listening to a couple of hours earlier when thereâs a glaring sound coming from outside. You had jumped out of your bed and ran to your window to see, but you werenât prepared for the sight in front of you. It took you a fraction of seconds to put the name into its face, and without being completely aware of what you did, you had opened the door and walked a few steps towards Joshua.
He scans your stance, takes a short glance towards your house, and then stares back at you, which makes you feel suddenly conscious of how you present yourself in front of him. âSay it,â you demand, placing more force on your voice than necessary.
âIâm, Iâm sorry. Theyâre sorry. They wanted me to say it because they donât know how to do it. Because you donât know them.ââhe clears his throat againââNot that we know each other, but you know, Iâm more, um, familiar with you, you know. But they want to say sorry too, I mean, I come so that you can meet them, that is, if you want.â You hear him grumbles, probably scolding himself for the quality of the words coming out of his mouth, not that you think they are bad.
âHm,â you mumble noncommittally before you continue, âItâs okay. You donât have to feel sorry.â
âButââ
âTheir words missed the mark. I do want attention. That doesnât make it right, but⌠I was thinking about their words, and, um, they brought out some truth Iâve been struggling with. So itâs okay, I guess.â
Joshua doesnât answer. He doesnât know how to, so he just looks at you, struggling to contain the questions building up inside of him. He wants you to share that truth. He wants to know more about your sunflower patrol, but heâs not certain you would tell him even if he begs you. Lord, he wants to know. Why had you forgiven his friendsâ words so easily? Why had you accepted them? He was about to burst when you finally slice the thick silence and blurt out, âYou never said hi.â
Joshua blinks. And he can feel his whole body burns red with the shame washing over him. All the whys heâs asking is now turned inward. Why, why hadnât he said something? Why hadnât he come to you? Whatâs his reason? His excuse?
When he finds the answer, he let out a soft scoff. âBecause Iâm afraid. Because Iâm a coward.â
He would never guess that you could deviate so far from his expectation, but you did. You smile and whisper, strangely proudly, âAnd Iâm an attention-seeker.â He doesnât know why, but that brings out a smile out of him also. But then you turn around and walk towards your house, to quickly for him to register. His smile was almost replaced by panic when you say, âItâs cold. Letâs talk inside.â
She brews him a cup of hot chamomile tea, and Joshua has the sure knowledge that the warmth within him comes not from that tea or the four walls encircling him. âI, um, Iâm sorry. I was afraid youâd think of me strangely if I walked to you when you, um, you know, when you were crying on the bridge.â She laughs at that, and the sound of it warms him even more.
âAnd yet you follow me home after,â she taunts. Joshuaâs eyes grow wide again, he always makes sure to keep his distance and to bike away once you enter your neighborhood. Heâs never followed you home completely like that first night he saw you. âDonât worry. After that first night, I donât mind your presence anymore. But I do wish youâd just come to me and offer your company directly.â
âIâm sorry, Iâm justââ
âStop saying sorry or Iâll kick you out of my house.â Ah, right, your house. He hasnât had the chance to look around with his nerve eating up him. But this house⌠The white wall opposite of the window, the wall in front of him, has considerable amount of picture frames: some containing real pictures, some with dried flowers inside. So you live alone, he concludes. The sound of a cleared throat snaps him out of his attempt to learn more about you by observing your home, and Joshua wishes he could be clever enough to try a more subtle method.
âI wanted them to be diamonds, you see,â you start, but Joshua has no clue of what youâre trying to say. âThe sunflowers. I might not seem like it, but I have the money to do so. But that would attract the wrong kind of attention. Even sunflowers already did so.â
Joshuaâs heart races at the realization of the direction this conversation is going. Youâll let him know. Youâll let him know. He bites his lips to prevent himself from saying stupid things that will make you stop telling him your story.
âWhen you do something good, is it so wrong that you wish a little something in return? I just want to be that unexpected kindness someoneâs hoping to make their day better, you know, like when you have such a bad day, and the smile of the bus driver acknowledging you is like the greatest present youâve received in your life? I canât hope people stop and compliment me every time I have a bad day to better my mood. I used to go to this park back then when I was a child. They have a small section dedicated for sunflowers. I remember how happy I always was when I visited the park. So I tried one day, giving out flowers, sunflowers, to stranger on the street. And I keep doing it. Because the surprise on their faces, their smiles, they make me feel good about myself. Wow, I realize it now. Saying things out loud really makes a difference, huh?â
âW-what?â Joshua stutters out, caught off guard once again. âItâs notâItâs not bad that you do it to make yourself happier. It may sound self-centered, but everyone is all about themselves first anyway, right? Thatâs how it supposed to be. You take care of yourself. And what you do while doing so, it makes other people happy also. So thatâs good, right?â
You let out a single laugh. âYou think so? I justâ the people who are there a lot, they say things that make me feel bad about myself. After hours of going around with flowers, Iâd hear them say those things and the happiness just gone. It becomes a burden, somehow, I donât know.â
Joshua doesnât know what to say, and never in his life before does he feel more useless than he does at this moment. That is, until he remembers what he shoved inside his pocket before he rode his bicycle to your house. He jerks into movement and he can feel your apt attention on him. He reaches into his pocket, takes the small object out, and offers it to you.
You accept the small pin from his hand. Itâs a sunflower pin with eyes and a curving lines on its face and some words engraved on the bottom part of it. I am a smiling flower, it says. Itâs so pretty, so so pretty even with tears starting to blur your vision. âIâm not good with words. Iâm always scared of saying the wrong words, so I resort to not saying anything,â Joshua says, his hand reaching for the back of his neck now. âWhen I saw that pin, you came to my mind, so yeah⌠Um, I know not everyone appreciates flowers, but I know you do. You⌠I think youâre like a smiling flower, so I hope that more than anyone, you can appreciate yourself, like you do flowers.â
Youâre stunned, still looking down at the pin, but with tears clearly lining your eyes. You look up and smile at him. You notice his surprise at the sight of your tears, but you pay it no heed. You rise from your seat and he follows suit in reflex, but that action allows you more freedom to do what you want to do next.
Joshua believes heâs already dead when you wrap your arms around him, but his thundering heart crushes that belief. Itâs not his current main problem, though. His ultimate problem now is where heâs supposed to put his own hands, which are now limp on his side. He raises them slowly only to find that you already let him go. âThank you,â you whisper.
âOh? Yes, no problem,â he answers instantly. His heart still wonât calm down, but thatâs not what bothers him at the moment. He knows itâs coming. Goodbye. Itâs coming any time now. And heâs not ready. He doesnât know if heâd have the courage to talk to you again if he has to say goodbye now. Quick. Think of something. âOh!â
âOh?â
âThe, um, the meeting with my friends? Can you, would you want to do that?â
âAh, that,â you chuckle softly, âof course.â
Both of you share a few moments of silence until you chuckle again, âGoodnight, umâŚâ
âJoshua,â he says. In all honesty, you already know his name, but you refuse to present yourself like a creep that youâd already know his name, in case he doesnât know yours yet. You walk him to your door and repeat what you said, âGoodnight, Joshua.â
âGoodnightâŚâ
âY/n.â
âY/n,â he speaks your name as if itâs the first time heâd heard it, and it may be so, for you donât think even the sellers around the Han River know your name. You donât have friends that would holler your name like crazy as Joshuaâs friends, thatâs why, although you imagine that that certain friends would meet you soon enough for their said apology.
Just before you close your door on himâknowing that he would not go until you do soâyou call him, âHey, Joshua.â
âHmm?â
âYouâre not as cowardice as you think you are, you know. Iâve seen you defending me against peopleâs comments in the park.â His eyes widen again, and you decide that is one of the cutest things youâve ever seen. When itâs apparent that heâs handled the surprise of you knowing his small act, you say your request, âTalk to me tomorrow?â
There, there, his eyes grow even wider, and you chuckle. âMake sure that you do. Be careful on your way home. Goodnight.â
âY/n, wait.â The closing door stops moving and you open it a little bit more to let your head out. âI know this place. The, um, the owner is my momâs friend. She loves flowers too, has her own garden and all. But only recently did she become obsessed with sunflowers. You know, one day her youngest daughter brought a sunflower home, and she suddenly felt this renewed and expanse fondness of sunflowers.â Joshuaâs stare flickers upward and finally notice the eyebrow you raised at him.
Your point? You seem to say.
âMy point is, I want to take you there. I can ask for her permission and take you there,â he finishes with a long exhale.
âFor the meeting with your friends?â you ask.
âNo! I mean, no,â he clears his throat, âNo, for, um, our talk, tomorrow. Iâm going to make sure that I do.â
He smiles at the end of his sentence, and you return it. âCan we bike there?â
âItâs pretty close, yeah.â
âAlright, then. Pick me up anytime.â You bite your lower lip to stop yourself from laughing and for the third time tonight, you half-whispers, âGoodnight, Joshua.â
âIt is,â Joshua murmurs after you closed your door, his smile bigger than the one on the sunflower pinâs face. âIt is a good night indeed.â

this is my first request on your blog >
uwaaaaaa~ welcome!! might be a little shorter too T_T
P.S. Iâll try and post a bunch of stuff today to make up for all the time i didnât but i canât promise anythingÂ
P.P.S I think iâm sick now so i guess I have more time to write??? T___T But being sick sucks⌠lololol alliteration
-
Yoosung
- Yoosung was rushing his way to school. His bus was very late so he had to catch the train
- then he saw her
- she stood on the other end/side of the platform with her head bowed, focused on her phone, headphones in her ears
- he saw the clear screen of flappy bird and the score of 74 in a window reflection
- as he stood, waiting for the train, he couldnât seem to keep his eyes off her
- soon enough though, her train pulled up quickly and she was enveloped (is that the word its the only one that i could think of) in the crowds of rushing people
- his train pulled up soon after and he got on, almost bumping into someone
- when he got to school, all he could think about was the girl on the other side of the platform
- his friends teased him during the breaks about why he was so distracted the whole day
Zen
- you were super excited to get these tickets
- most of his shows were all old out within the first hour but one of your friends had pulled a few strings with her sister who was a friend of the wife of one of the actors⌠basically you got free tickets!
- who were you seeing??? well, duh, Zen~!
- you fidgeted in your seat, your friend laughing at you from her seat beside you
- when Zen came onstage you were captivated by his singing⌠his acting⌠his dancing⌠and his looks too of course
- honestly you were incredulous that he even existed (did i use the word rightâŚ? i know what it means but stillâŚ)
- he saw you in the crowd too and for a second he seemed to forget his lines for a second
- he sent you a discreet wink and you died inside as your friend laughed at you silently
- sadly, after the show ended, you got swept away by the crowd and didnât see him again⌠until you met the RFA~
Jaehee
- it was one of the very rare occasions that she had a day off
- Jaehee was ecstatic when Jumin told her she could relax for the day because he had to go on a business trip with his father and all the other sections would deal with things
- she decided to go on a refreshment day which included going to one of the new cafeâs that opened close to the C&R building for breakfast
- she pushed open the door with a new skip in her step and ordered a latte as well as some (insert cool breakfast food here)
- when she went and sat down, another girl walked in, ordering a latte also before going over to sit with her friend
- when the barista people called out the latte order, both Jaehee and the girl walked over to collect it
- their hands cliche-ly touched as they reached for the cup and Jaehee felt her heartbeat speed up
-Â âoh, sorry about that.â Jaehee smiled and pulled her hands away
- âdonât worry about it. thank youâ the girl smiled back and took the coffee, going back to her table
- Jaehee watched her go, smiling to herself as her coffee came also
Jumin
- You sighed, swirling your drink around in itâs crystal glass (oh, youâre super fancy fancy high class etc etc here)
- you stood, bored out of your mind on the side of the room, watching as people talked mindlessly amongst each other
- it was a boring dinner party hosted by one of your acquaintances. youâd only agreed to see if you could meet any new companies for deals.
- it had been about three hours and a bit when you decided that if you left now, it wouldnât be seen as rude
- you placed the glass down, making your way over to your acquaintance to tell her that you were going. you didnât notice the eyes that followed you across the room
- a dark haired male watched as you walked over to your friends
- he hadnât met you yet, though he had heard of the incredibly talented owner of your company. aka, you
- he was already infatuated from earlier that night as he saw you deal with incompetent businesspeople
- though he couldnât talk to you as he was already too busy with the people surrounding him
- you left soon after, not noticing that he was entranced by you completely
Saeyoung
- he was undercover at a nightclub for a field job
- attempting to be undercover, he went over to the bar to grab a drink
- there, he saw a girl who looked incredibly uncomfortable as a guy started going closer to her and talking to her
- he could see why, the girl was stunning and heâd heard her joking around a lot with her friends earlier, but clearly she wasnât enjoying it
- deciding to help out (plus it would help him look less suspicious), he walked up to her and put his arm around her, glaring at the other guy.
- âhey babe, come with me, i want to introduce you to someoneâ he said before leaning down and whispering to her âi saw you looked super uncomfortable earlier and i thought iâd make sure youâre okay. letâs just make sure this guy leaves you alone for the rest of the night.â she nodded and whispered back a âthank youâ
- they left the other guy, quickly reporting him to the bar people and walking over to a table (idk as i said iâm a tiny child iâve never been to a nightclub)
- after chatting for a while and making sure she knew where her friends were and that she was okay, Seven saw his target ducking away
- he quickly apologised to the unknown girl and slipped away, following his target and hoping that heâd meet her again one day (though he knew it was futile)
V
(okay, so heâs not blind here just for convenient purposes)
- you decided to visit the park for a one-person picnic lunch
- you hadnât been to the park in ages because you were too busy with work/school but the weather was lovely today so you thought screw it iâm going
- after spreading out your picnic blanket under a tree, half in the sun and half in the shade, you spread out your small arrangement of food and just enjoyed the peace and quiet
- soon enough, when the soft golden light gently danced across your skin, you fell asleep, headphones in your ears and listening to music
- a certain light blue haired man was passing by, just taking photos for his new exhibition at the art gallery
- he spotted you laying down on your picnic blanket, the dappled sunlight grazing across your skin. the lighting was perfect and you looked beautiful
- he took the photo juuuuust right so you wouldnât be able to tell the identity of the person in it. when he looked at it again, he just smiled to himself
Saeran
- he was out at the shopping centre, keeping an eye on a potential target for Mint Eye
- he sat in the food court with ice cream, trying to not look suspicious
- looking around he was surprised as he saw a girl get dared to eat a whole (massive portion of food) by her silver-haired friend (>.0 thats what iâm here for //slapped)
- she finished it off soon and he was impressed by her skill as well as her in general
- as she left the food court, so did his suspect so he followed the two of them, walking into random shops and looking around why was he in the pet store
- her jokes and just mindless chatter with her friend intrigued him and he found himself genuinely laughing at some of them
- when she left, he found himself upset, though he couldnât grasp a reason as to why
- so, for the remainder of watching his suspect, all he could think about was the girl in the food court~
-
uwah, i couldnât really think of anything for saeran, so apologies for that
also writing really late at night makes me want to use really fancy words lolololololol
i hope this could satisfy you, dear anon~
bye bye~! *poof*

Week 5.5 of 2018 đ˘ / BKK DAY 1 đ
Quick update on the past 3 days before I can get into bkk updates hehehe Iâm calling this week 5.5 đÂ
Workload started piling up on Monday, but I expected it although I didnât think it would get that insane.
Alexandra food villageâs dry ban mian with J and Qien for dinner that day đ Had a side of 10 gyozas cos jer said it was nice. Gyozas were good, just that 3 is my max hahaha Oh yes, I have to mention that the auntie making my teh ice was so precise that she was using a weighing machine to weigh every single ingredient she added into the drink đđ The drink turned out nice so I guess it was worth her effort? lololol
Took a bus then train back, and while we were on the train, J suddenly said âwah so fast potong pasir already!â Literally 1sec later the train announcement came âNext station, clarke quayâ LOLOLOL WE LAUGHED UNTIL đđđ
Skipped chiro on tues cos I couldnât afford to leave work half an hour earlier. Met J for dinner and dk how we decided on 4 fingers haha maybe the only fried chicken I willingly eat đđť Iâll try the spicy ones next time hehe
Quickly went home to get started on packing. I only managed clothes before I turned in for the night but it was a good call to start a day early cos Wed was SHIT đ
Told J that I was nervous for the meeting on Wed and I was right to be nervous. It went pretty badly and the amount of work to be done after the meeting........ Couldnât help but feel like my bkk trip came at a wrong time.
Had a quick lunch of dry ban mian at vivo (I see a pattern too lolol) before we headed back to office, where I spent the rest of the work day going through an insane number of files FML
As if I didnât have enough on my plate already, my period decided to come a couple days early đđđ I was praying it would come after the trip. Oh well, I am at least grateful it didnât come halfway ya? Popped a panadol before I headed back to files I CRY. MY DOG LIFE
Did what I could and left office with my boss after 11 hours of the grind. Through shit like this, I am eternally grateful for a nice boss â¨
Wanted to cry when I realised there was no food at home but I sucked it up and called my mum to takeaway some food for me. I had to wait maybe an hour but I took the opportunity to chill a little cos I could feel myself being very panicky. Mum came back with oyster omelette, which I enjoyed with KUWTK đ
And then it was time to pack......... I didnât leave much time for myself evidently, so I only got to bed around 1am? Holy, thatâs 3 hours of packing wtf ray how????????
BKK DAY 1 đšđ
Tore myself out of bed at 6:15 in the morning cos I still had last minute packing to do plus this was the first time I had to call a cab to the airport myself đ
Usually my parents fetch me there or theyâre the ones calling a cab when we travel tgt haha so I was understandably a little panicky cos there were so many unknowns!!!!
Didnât have to worry myself that much cos I got a cab easily (fare was $30 though wtfff) and reached the airport with a lot of time to spare.
Checked in and this was our first stop.... We made plans to check out the YSL outlet here, to see if the wallet I liked was cheaper since duty free and all?
WE BOUGHT IT đđđ I was 90% decided that I really wanted the wallet already so when it was $60 cheaper than retail stores, I pretty much handed my card over immediately hahahaha I am so happy â¨â¨â¨ J says she wants to get it for me as a christmas cum birthday gift but weâll see!
Yakun for breakfast, where they forced us to get large cups of drinks so obv I couldnât finish??? Oh yes, the two evian bottles were from the YSL sales assistant haha went back to return a bottle afterwards cos it was unopened.
While waiting for J â¨
ćç头ĺĺžäšą
Boarded! HAHA I LUV THE HOOD omg đđđ So kewt and I even managed some sleep on the plane, which is gr8 considering the flightâs only 2 hours âď¸
ćçąćçéĺđ Asked my mum to look at my new shoes and she said âyou bought new shoes again???? Ray, when you go bkk, you just eat, donât buy clothes and shoes ok. Just eatâ LOLOL I replied with âgood joke mumâ
Landed, settled sim card and hopped on a cab to our hotel! The ride took ages due to the jam, and J scared me cos she told me there was no meter in the cab??? She still said âhope we donât have to fight about the fare laterâ đđ I also quickly went to check my past dayre post and gathered that the fare should be roughly 600baht. Turns out meter was on all the while haha and the driver only charged us 500 phew no fight phew phew
We booked berkeley again cos it was a pretty good deal and weâre so familiar with the hotel/itâs location. Paid for late check out on monday as well since our flightâs only at 6pm. Spent a long time in our room waiting for my phone to charge đ But I took the opp to quickly unpack everything.
Before we left the hotel!
J was starving by then so we stopped by mr shake at central world. My milk tea was pretty good but the calamansi drink she wanted wasnât in stock so she ended up with plum green tea which wasnât nice đ
Continued with our walk to siam! I love how familiar we are with everything, such that we rmb how to walk everywhere without the need to google map đđťđđť J was asking me if I knew where inter was, and I said âya just go to siam square, cut through the tiny stores then exit, cross the pedestrian crossing with the police and turn leftâ WHERE DID THIS INFO COME FROM????? IDK
First food stop: Inter! I think this is Jâs and my favourite restaurant in bkk. The food is v good and inexpensive, what more can you ask for? Got the water mimosa again but asked for it to be less spicy cos my dayre reminded me that it was too spicy for us the last time we were here haha tried a new fried fish which turned out pretty good surprisingly! Erm the curry beef was a mistake on my part haha I wanted to order red curry with beef but idk why it became this dish instead đ
Curry was great but there were a lot of fatty beef parts so overall, a no go for us đ
đťââď¸
STAR OF THE SHOW âď¸ Couldnât go to inter without ordering our fav wings!!!!! Still as good as before omg Bill came up to less than $25 I LUV BKK
Shopped around siam square and exercised tremendous self control. Only bought myself a phone cover for $6 hehe proud proud Continued wandering around the area then stopped by watsons and bath and body works to get our bkk essentials - large packet of tissue and hand sanitizer LOLOL
đHokkaido Cheese Toast @ Siam Square Before we came to bkk, I was telling J that the cheese toast originated from here so we should eat the one here haha forgot all about it until we changed upon it at siam! Best things is there wasnât a queue at all hehe and they had the strawberry & matcha flavours that I think arenât out yet in singapore?
But weâre basic af, so we just got an original to share amongst the both of us! Smart decision to share cos it got a bit too much towards the end. Dk how much it is in singapore but itâs 69baht here!
đ§đ§đ§ Verdict: I quite liked it! The bread was nicely toasted and the cheese was really stretchy, not too heavy tasting. There was this creamy liquid filling inside which I didnât like, and which is why I said it got too much towards the end haha might not eat this again, but glad I tried.
Got a bit thirsty while walking around and went in search of their koi outlet. Found it and was so pleasantly surprised that they had small sizes!!! How cute is this small green tea macchiato omg the lady helps to poke the straw in and she makes sure the straw goes through the O in KOI hahahaha i luv it they are so cute
Aesthetics 101 with this random cafe on the middle of the mall đż Thereâs really nothing much in siam leh. I think I said this last year already hahaha plus the malls are quite confusing so we end up at the same place after walking for ages. Decided to head back to our hotel after a bit and J suggested we take a train from siam to chit lom, which is just a stop.
Not smart cos the train station was a bit confusing to manoeuvre around plus we hit peak hour I think. And it was only after we alighted at chit lom did we realise that our hotelâs in the middle between siam and chit lom haha so it would have been smarter to just walk from siam. Oh well, you learn new things everyday!
Was supposed to have after you but we were craving salty food so we headed to the hotel to rest before dinner at talad neon.
Took us a while to get out of the room haha talad neonâs super super near to our hotel which is great cos my poor feet đ
J got a coconut drink and we walked around a bit. I love talad neon leh!!! But I can understand when people say thereâs nothing much to do here. I just like it for its cleanliness, close proximity to our hotel and thereâre still a decent number of shops đđť
Took such a nice photo of J â¨â¨ Dinner at hubba shrimps, essentially a cheaper version of dancing crab haha vibes were...... thai disco-ish đđ
Hello itâs me đ
đHubba Shrimps @ Talad Neon Got the one with mixed seafood, which contained shrimps, two different kinds of mussels, squid, clams, corn and potatoes. Asked for the sauce to be less spicy but less spicy in thailand doesnât mean much lolol the sauce was v tasty though!! But the seafood was okay only, not very fresh/tasty. Overall a decent meal for less than 500 baht
đ Continued walking around for a bit before heading back to our hotel to walk around the night market downstairs. Got myself only 2 pieces of clothing that day đ
Yet another wrap dress from talad neon for 250 baht. As expected, itâs too big on me but Iâll make it work by looping the waist bands around my waist to give the dress some shape. Itâs a little sheer as well so will have to put on an inner lining. Otherwise, I do like the cut and prints đž
This mustard top from the night market below our hotel for 150baht. I hesitated a little cos bkk tops are usually too huge for me, but...
itâs a tie back so you can adjust it to be smaller! Iâve been meaning to get smth like this from taobao, like itâs literally been sitting in my cart for ages hahaÂ
