Hello! Tell me if this is too much for you, but could I request something with Law and (separate) Kid. Their bf generally avoid conflict and emotional talks (I am really constipated with deep talks it's unbelievable lolβπ») but recently he (reader) kind of relapsed into self destructive thoughts (nothing life threatening) and try to avoid these thoughts by being physically clingy. Not necessarily cuddling, but like, following them, watching what they're doing, playing with their clothes. Thank you!
Greetings!ππ and sure thing!! Sorry its taken so long to get this done but life gets in the way! Hope you enjoy~
(Male Pronouns)
Headcanons: Law, Kid x Male! S/O who avoids emotional talks and conflict, but lately his self destructive thoughts lead him to seek comfort from his partner.
Trafalgar Law
π {Name} usually wasn't that outward regarding his own emotions and even his own thoughts. He could even be seen as a person who kept to himself but only outwardly displayed emotions when absolutely necessary and for his own reasons, {Name} was not one to get into emotional based conversations. Although Law didn't mind it too much, he easily understood {Name} and that was what mattered.
π Admittedly Law found {Name's} demeanour be very helpful during arguments and stressful times. Though {Name} and Law's arguments could be more likened to diplomatic discussion minus the rare moments where Law is the one to snap under irritation or extreme stress. {Name} easily diffuses such situations and can calm Law.
π Anything that seems to good to be true usually comes for a price {Name} would often dismiss his own warning signs by ignoring his own emotions, it wasn't the greatest habit but one {Name} often indulged in. He never liked emotional discussions they always felt uncomfortable and out of place, believing that most things could be solved with calm and logical discussions, but even amidst that belief, his self destructive and negative thoughts seemed to arise and scare him.
π Law noticed the shift in the way {Name} was acting, it seemed a little off. Of course knowing {Name's} stance on talks about feelings Law was left lost and a little reluctant, though couldn't help but worry seeing all of those little worried expressions or even when he would just end up staring off into space. The best solution that Law could come up with was simply being there for {Name} without question, just simply being there for him.
π The true moment when Law realized the extent is when he caught {Name} seemingly following him, or at the very least, staying close to him. A lot more than he usually would. No matter where he was, {Name} was sure to be close behind, though it made Law smile a little thinking that even though {Name} was going through something that he could not articulate, he was still finding comfort in Law in a different manner.
π Sometimes Law would be reading and catching {Name} fiddling with the ends of his coat, sometimes playing with the zipper or better yet just holding his hand and fidgeting, it was cute and a little clumsy but Law smiled at all of these little things, on the other hand he felt a little worried seeing that {Name} was considerably acting out of sorts. With all these cute gestures that on the surface may have seemed like mindless affections but were rather silent pleas for attention and comfort.
π Law found {Name} being restless, fidgeting and apprehensive, the expression on his face seemed to tell Law that it was something unpleasant. Law stayed a little closer to {Name} giving him those random little gestures of affection like pulling him in for a quick hug, a small peck on the forehead and all these little gestures that silently conveyed his feelings to {Name} to provide the needed reassurance. The silent alternative to saying βI'm here for youβ
Eustass Kid
π Kid was known to be volatile at the best of times, especially with his fiery temper and bad habit of taunting and jeering others into fights, in stark contrast to {Name} who never really let his own emotions lead or dictate an argument, in some ways this was a very good contrast to Kid, sometimes even helping to ground his fiery temper. On the other hand it could sometimes infuriate Kid who would try to get those rises out of {Name}, only to fail. Of course Kid didn't mind, since he enjoys a challenge.
π More often than not it's easier for Kid, despite his outward displays of competitiveness and self assurance, he finds {Name} to be very grounding and also calming. It also gives him a sense of relief as Kid could admit that he secretly has no confidence in his own ability to accurately deal with emotional issues, rationality had no place amongst emotions and it could be discomforting to Kid who was not adept at things like heartfelt advice and sympathetic comfort.
π Despite {Name's} level-headedness, even he could not escape from self destructive thoughts that arose out of insecurity and of course other factors that could prove very disheartening to anyone. It could have been the biggest downside, almost as if it were the price to pay for being able to keep his head. What made matters worse, was his dislike for sharing these kinds of self-pitying thoughts, only driving him further into those frightening and spiralling thoughts.
π Even Kid could notice {Name} being lost in thought lately, occasionally worried expressions gracing his usually calm face, Kid was observant enough to tell that something was bothering his partner. Especially when {Name} would show those worrisome and strained expressions, Kid wasn't going to approach the subject both for his sake as well as {Name's} but Kid couldn't help but feel a little bit concerned over seeing {Name} in such a state.
π Kid noticed {Name} lurking, always two steps behind him, Kid was usually off causing mischief or doing his own thing and it was not often where {Name} would stay so close, Kid picked up on this and didn't want {Name} to discover that he had noticed, doing things like avoiding the overly dangerous places or even slowing his pace down a little for {Name's} comfort were some unconscious habits Kid picked up on when these little occurrences took place.
π Kid only truly realized the extent when {Name} was being a lot more affectionate than he usually was, or perhaps it was more accurate to say, the nature of his affections. The way he would always always be playing with Kid's coat, maybe picking at the mechanical arm and seeing every crease and crevice of Kid's mechanical limb or just randomly nuzzling his way into Kid's embrace. Kid found it too adorable, so adorable in fact, it was suspicious.
π It wasn't exactly blatantly obvious to Kid until Wire pointed it out, and finally it fully made sense to Kid. Whenever he spotted {Name} without warning he would sometimes just engulf him in a random hug with a 'I'll bring the affection to you' kind of mindset. It proved very reassuring and calming to {Name} especially while he was sorting through those thoughts.

The Cinderella-ish episode is, hands down, my absolute favorite to rewatch. It never gets old.
The scene where Yuki is talking to Akito about responsibility confuses me a bit too cause Akito is DEFINITELY at major fault--until I started looking at the scene from Yuki's pov instead of my own as a reader, and thinking about his mindset here. Because this season Yuki has gone a long ways in growing as an individual away from his trauma. And looking at that scene from that lens feels a lot less like Yuki is absolving Akito of blame, and more Yuki trying to say he's no longer waiting for Akito to accept responsibility, that his decisions from here on out will be as independent from Akito's opinion as possible while they're still bound to the curse. Or maybe that's just me trying to make sense of a scene that when read straight is baffling and too close to victim blaming for comfort.
On the note of Yuki, though... I love seeing him goof off with Manabe. You couldn't imagine Yuki from early in the series being so comfortable messing around with someone, it's my favorite way of seeing how he's changed!
For some reason the Kureno thing never weirded me out so much... or at least never triggered such a visceral reaction from me. Probably because I first read the series as a kid, when high school seemed practically adult to me, and at the time some of my classmates were crushing on an assistant teacher (which I understood about as much as I understood the Kureno/Arisu plot, so not at all... Turns out I'm extremely aroace!) and now my first reaction will always be "guess people are just weird sometimes". Now that I'm older and I've BEEN a high schooler it definitely makes me a lot more uncomfortable than it used to though.
-Y
I like that take on the Yuki/Akito scene, and with the benefit of future scenes, I feel quite a bit more kindly to it. That moment where Yuki teasingly asks Tohru to praise him for standing up to Akito makes it clear that he is still fully aware of how much of a piece of shit Akito is. He's not saying Akito deserves to be forgiven; he's saying he'd rather focus on bettering himself than wallowing in the misery Akito inflicted on him. It probably could've been articulated more clearly in the moment, but it makes enough sense in hindsight imo.
