#i was always taught that french people just really didnt want to go to war so they ignore what was happening (+tried not to have a far right#government) and that since the first ever paid vacations/dayoff happened before WW2 we were too eager to enjoy vacation and go to the beach#(among other places) to want to think about what was going on outside the country (did it blow up to our face? yeah)#strangely 'if i dont look at it it doesnt exist' doesnt work#used czechoslovakia bc like. yeah. also i didnt know who else to use even if there are most likely countries that fit the role#hetalia memes#history memes
