went to a dance show and it always makes me miss the theater so much all the rehearsals endless hours waiting in the dressing rooms the needle stabs while fitting on the costumes That specific theater smell..

#there is a not quite closed wound when i think abt my ballet years. i kind of regret stopping but at the same time #i was a much too neurodivergent kid to deal with ballet. the strictness and schedules and pressure #not that i ever got in the big leagues i was very mediocre but somehow. like many things of my childhood #i was costantly pushed to be more serious abt it bc i 'had the body' or some stupid reason. i miss it bc i fundamentally liked dancing #a #SO funny i sound so entitled kid ballet and latin and greek but i was so mediocre at all these..i was posing #there is something evil in the way i was often expected to behave just in virtue of being a dainty cute kid. but its hard to say bc i uh #dont remember much [gives thumbs up]
