#i wanted to write r4nboo with group hug but couldn’t get it right

as both of them were finally able to catch their breath, jack’s nerves calmed enough to know he had lost the scuffle. his body still hummed with panic as he leaned forward to stop his arms from flailing again. leaning into techno’s arms was what made jack realize he was being held around the waist. the arms relented to let jack move, but they refused to leave the other man’s body.

“how long has it been since someone hugged you?” techno spoke through small huffs, still recovering from the sudden attempt to fight from jack.

“huh? i- not for a long time, why does that matter? and what the hell were you trying to do?”

“because that was a hug. well, an attempt to,” he chuckled as his hand moved to jack’s upper arm, squeezing gently in a reassurance he didn’t realize he was giving.

“oh,” jack shifted, pulling away to face techno, “yeah, i- i dunno, it’s been a while. normally when people go to touch me, it’s not been great, y’know..”

techno hummed quietly, just a small noise of understanding as he held out his hand. jack eagerly took it, giving a flimsy smile in the uncertainty of the quiet. techno leaned in, rubbing the back of jack’s hand with his thumb as he kissed jack’s forehead.

“i’m so sorry, baby.”

“it’s not-“

“no, it was. but if it wasn’t, it is for making you think of everything that was done to you. can i hug you, properly?”

jack nodded, shuffling back into techno’s open arms. jack’s twisting and turning had knocked them off of the couch, but neither of them cared as they held each other close.
