everyone treating the princess’ plan as “nuke the world cause we’re sad!” is doing such a disservice to the compelling philosophical dilemma brennan has set up. these people have just made the discovery that they are, in a physical and quantifiable way, not real. they are functionally tools in the hands of gods who either don’t realize their sentience or don’t give a fuck. people arguing that the princesses are “taking away the choice for the rest of the neverafter” don’t seem to realize that if nobody has free will, the decision to “live” isn’t a decision you can ever be sure that the gods aren’t making for you. when every move you make in the world might be a conformation to the whims of these beings who have caused you unimaginable suffering, what other course is there but to take their toys away?

anyways there’s a real existential debate going on here and just because the party isn’t interested in dwelling on it doesn’t mean that nobody else should
