I think next year I want to make art about the sea, and transformations. Spent the last while on-and-off fixated with the ocean and all its children, been swimming again. I have to pick one big project and work on it basically the whole year and I think I have enough to go off of on my love for the sea and also werewolves/creatures that transform to manage that

#less related to this but i also really want to actually explore what it means to be māori. esp as white/white passing idk what word to use #i want to travel to where my tīpuna come from but its so far away from where i am now. other end of the country #so i am focusing on trying to learn my reo and connect to the moana and whenua #i want to reach out locally but im so nervous and scared. no one has participated in te ao maori since my gran was a kid in my family #and even then she told me they learnt songs in te reo but werent allowed to learn the language or anything #idk. lots of thoughts and feelings and it feels very vulnerable right now #anyway. that got personal. jesus #homepost
