Definitely would not call it bland but yeah, I do fear for a decrease in the show's quality because of this...

I haven't watched Bob's Burgers in ages, but I thought this article "Bob’s Burgers Is Doing a Reverse Simpsons" was intriguing. The thesis is that Bob's Burgers leaned too much into the "wholesomeness" that made it popular, making it bland and saccharine.

I think I lost track of the series around its peak when it was still a little weird and edgy but a nice change of pace from the shitty sitcom dads and families that all hate each other. I've seen other fans say that it's gone downhill, but I can't speak on it because I never picked up the series again.

I'm curious about what Bob's Burgers fans think. Do you agree or disagree? Do any Bob's Burgers fans even follow me? lol

#i kinda agree if we're talking about s10 and up...#wholesomeness is nice and all but now there's just too much focus on it and not enough humour or interesting storylines #the first 4 seasons be them inappropriate or whatever are actually super enjoyable to me with its chaotic and unhinged nature #recent eps still got me engaged and laughing here and there but it's not on the same par as before #i want those kids accidentally sell weeds or felix almost murdering the whole family scenarios back :/#or the perfect balance we've got in s5-9 when things were low-stakes but still managed to be entertaining and unique #well not exactly low-stakes they still got to fight turkeys and eat weed cookies #pffft #bobs burgers
