𝗚𝗮𝗹𝗲'𝘀 𝘁𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿 𝗶𝘀 𝗮 𝗰𝗿𝗮𝗱𝗹𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝘄𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀. Nestled along the coast of Waterdeep, it is both sunlight and the insistent cling of salt that Gale's grown to find exceedingly soothing. It is the bastion of his comforts, outfitted with a grand assortment of a thousand enchantments. Charmed, it is far larger on the inside than it appears on the outside, and nestled in its rooms wade about a million secrets. A wizard's tower, after all, should be as much an enigma as the mage themselves.
Entryway.
Upon entering Gale's home, one would be welcomed by a sectioned off room, the house separating its guests from the rest beyond this point. It is nondescript, all deep woods with the warmth of a far away fire, sure, but plainly put, is not what one expects from a wizard's home. There is a mirror by the door, and before it, a little end table with an aging candelabra. There is a thick, fine drape that rests snug at the arch walling off the tower's entryway, and there is a plush, old rug sat in front of the door. Framed, there hangs a painting of a garden by the right-most wall. The decor is dated, speaking of an aesthetic veering on 'dark academia' and here, there is an enhancement Gale placed to thwart those not explicitly welcomed--hold person, in the rug, can hold you still.
But at least the shy smattering of hanging plants can keep you company.
The first floor: Entry way, living room, kitchen, and washroom.
After exiting the entryway, one would at last enter a hall, short, that leads to a cozy and admittedly half-cluttered room. Here, there is a coffee table, some leather seats in a shade of hemlock-green, and a winding staircase--fit with a red stair runner-- that goes, up, up, up (again, enchanted, some time manipulation steeped in the runner to shorten walk-time). In fact, should one look up, one would think Gale has furnished twelve floors at least, the ceiling like a pinprick with rich deep-gold tiles. It's evident this floor's hardly used, however, beyond the kitchen that is sat snug and half-walled off from the adjoining living room. The seats seem seldom used, not a crack or wrinkle in their delicate upholstery, and the cups lines in Gale's kitchen never used beyond the one. There's several books splayed about, a knitted blanket Morena had made him some decades ago--purple, his favorite, shade, of course--thrown about the sofa, and a myriad of paintings lined on the walls. There's a hanging light in the fashion of some brassy armillary. In the built-in shelves in the paneled walls, there rests even more books with some decanters of whiskey. There rests a wide circular window fit with an alcove right at the center wall, too, with a darling view of the waters with some hanging candles.
Beside the living room, the kitchen--again, very frequently used--waits, charmed with a fire that seems always to burn (safely, of course). At all times, something fragrant lingers within it, be it darling, spice-fruit tartlet or a succulent rack of ribs or lamb. Here, the fashion is a touch more rustic in nature, more dark-red bricks and taupe woods. Over his oven--black iron, a simple cast wood stove--rests an overhang of herbs, dried and half-self grown with the pots by his open windowsill, and the other half purchased from the ladies at the markets. He's a sizable coldbox charmed with a suspended chromatic orb of frost (it pulses, giving perpetual cool to the contents inside), beside countertops filled with all manner of jars. Gale makes his own jams, his favorite being a delightful, tart raspberry, and it with its fruity sisters and brothers rests bottled up with delightful cloths. Gale spends much time in here, and it's plain to see he lavishes it with love. Always, there is something delightful set up by the island counter that looks off into the rest of the living room--like a cake stand piled generously with something exquisitely vanilla. With a door nearby, Gale would explain it leads to his little pantry of hundur sauce. There, one will find, too, his notable collection of both red and white wines. An evening with Gale Dekarios is an evening with a five course meal.
The washroom set off by the staircase is humble, a tap of flowing water charmed to flow and stop when you so wish it. There is an ornate mirror, some suspended flowers there for a spot of freshness, and lit candles for ambiance. The small of something earthy and not too overbearing hangs everywhere, steeped in the towels and the wood of the little medicine cabinet.
The second floor: Two bedrooms, with their own personal bathrooms.
Here, you will find Gale's bedroom, and beside it, a spare. To note, no one ever uses that guest room considering, well, one would need guests to start off with. All the same, no would-be over-night stay would find themselves wanting. The guest room, adequately sized, opens up to face a wide, stained glass window-modestly so, just to allow some shades of gold to lick along the floors. A thick curtain dresses it up, its color a burgundy wine that pairs well with the dark woods and surge of white in the bedding. The best itself is a four post one, no veils yet to hang off of them. The large dresser is empty save for some spare things Gale has put in for Tara (spare collars, for example) and a couple of blankets he's never once used. It has its own bathroom as well, its tub charmed to, again, spill water and stopper it whenever you so wish. It's everything you need should you ever stay here, but admittedly, stripped just a bit of any personality.
Gale's room, however, is ride with personality. Here, you will find all manner of trinkets and wide-eyed wonders. It's dark wood again, and lived in, is effectively cluttered. There are books strewn everywhere, laid out on the floors despite two of four whole walls filled completely with tomes. He's a window at the one wall, opening to the scene of the city clamoring just beyond, its windowsill decorated with cups of wine, tea tins, and some pots of terracotta for when he deigns to play gardener. He's a large armillary in a state of perpetual spin, aligned with the real-time turning of the stars. His bed is large, a bed tray usually atop of it with smattering of peeled fruit and his read for the morning, sheets a dark, rich brown with the bedposts taken in dark-green curtains. There's a bed for Tara, too, laid there by one of his growing stacks of ancient reads. His carpet is patterned, a sliver of white to help brighten the space, with some cat toys strewn here and there and an armoire that's charmed much larger on the inside. Beside his bed, there rests Gale's private bathroom. It's impressive, tiled beige with dark woods that border on chestnut black. He's a whole array of bath salts, lotions and creams and shampoos and conditioners, everything combining to capture ascent of sage and jasmine sweetened just a sliver with a persimmon hue. His tub is actually dipped into the floors, a standing shower merely an overhang spout in the space beside the tub. There is incense here, too, that wafts at times with the hot steam of his usual luxurious baths--Gale, let it be known, a sucker for a spot of finery.
The third floor: Dedicated solely to Gale's office and study--dressed up with a terrace. Inside the study, Gale keeps his inheritance and riches.
Going up the stairs this floor has no landing. In fact, it's only a passing door before one continues traveling up towards the rooftops. The door is unassuming, something old and ancient with brass knockers as handles. However, belying its normalcy is the swell of magic and light that glows from crystals within.
This room is what we are most familiar with: it is, as we have seen in game, Gale's study. And yes, it is by and large, Gale's most favored room--kitchen notwithstanding. Here, Gale's study is less a study and more a keep of ancient texts. His walls are littered with them, the copious amount of shelves not enough to cradle their wealth. Stacks of loose tomes can be found crawling up, up, up for the ceiling everywhere, and each one, he'll tell you, is one he's read once before--evidently not faking it like every other bookworm. He knows where each one seems to lay by heart, even the four hundredth manual in an uninspiring shade of brown. He's a crackling hearth, one he's charmed to run forever on and on, with a single chair and a sofa-too-many. He's a statue in a wait-high sizes dedicated to Mystra. He's spent more hours than he'd confess to kneeling before them, a memory he's no rush to indulge in again with any delight, both scrolls and flowers wreathing it like humble offerings. He's a piano he's manipulated to play when he desires, something of a tune that runs very soft and relaxed. At times, Gale himself will even pluck away the keys, the piano chair before it housing some rough compositions.
In this study, one will find a door, locked, to what houses whatever is of Gale's inheritance. Beside that door, one will also find the double doors to his brilliant terrace, outfitted with plants, a rug, and sun-warm sofa. Here, Gale likes to idle away his time, Tara in his lap and some wine on his tongue. In his year in solitude, he would rest here often, looking over the lullabied waters and its quiet ripples... Half mad, half yearning, and entirely wistful.
One can find some empty bottles of wine here with a heavy heart.
The fourth floor: A smaller room, something like an observatory.
Humble but absolutely dazzling, the top floor opens up to a darling observatory of sorts--not a proper room, no, but a mere floor with a railing that looks down to the lower, three-most levels. Here, the ceiling--again, those rich tiles of brown and gold--rest above your head, wide and unobscured of even a hanging light. Instead, there are candelabras set up about this book-littered room (with pillows, too, and a nice rug set up for casually laying) that flicker and whisper with its crackling song. Laid down on this floor, one would look up to that so-bare ceiling...and when Gale so whispers it, says those magical words, the ceiling seems to suddenly disappear, replaced with a ripple of the view of the stars. Here, Gale can trace the course of the twinkling cosmos. Immediately, the shine of the stars come to pale the combined wash of the candles, the atmosphere impossibly drusy and gauzy like silk. Gale likes it up here, relaxing in the majesty of the moon. Sometimes, he will find Tara flapping her wings here, a little trapdoor to the rightmost wall for her to come and go from when she desires. They will cuddle up together as she speaks about her nightly escapades of feline devilry. Gale, in a nest of pillows, will patiently listen.

Danny is a house husband.
That's it, that's all it is.
As the years went on. Danny retired from being a superhero. There was no need for Phantom when the GIW were dealt with and all the ghosts were under control.
Now what's left for him to do but to just sit back, relax, and finally be able to live his life.
Sam and Tucker on the other hand....
Well, they had plenty of pent up rage, wits, and chaos inside their mind to become villains.
But they had one rule.
Never bring work home and to never involve Danny in any of their supervillain business.
Okay that's technically two rules, but they're kind of synonymous especially since Danny has been taking care of their house while also entertaining himself with trying new hobbies.
Tucker and Sam both make sure that they never bring any of their villainy home to Danny, because all they want is for Danny to enjoy his happy hero retirement.
And Danny in turn, doesn't bat an eye when watching the news and seeing that there were magical plants that were attacking sites that oil companies were digging or that somehow Lex Luthor had lost five hundred million dollars and had somehow leaked records showing he was building weapons of mass destruction.
He also doesn't bat an eye when he sees that Tucker had brought home a telescope that definitely looks like it came from some fancy lab because hey, Tucker was making him an observatory so he can look at the stars and planets. While also how they were able to make a great gaming pc with computer parts that are definitely not sold in stores, because hey at least the newest update of Doomed wasn't lagging.
Or that Sam comes home with various plants and animals that are definitely not from planet earth, but hey the three headed wolf-lizard-eagle- hybrid thing (that Danny has affectionately named Fluffy) is pretty great at keeping the pests away from his vegetable garden and likes to eat any of Danny's new food creations and is a great playmate for Cujo.
So you can imagine how the Justice League thinks when dealing with the pair of new villains: Upload (Tucker) and Sam (I could not think of a villain name that would suit her, so it's up to you what you think her villain name would be)
And how they were currently wreaking havoc in the city either by cyber warfare with robots or by magic plant monster or a Frankenstein of both approaches. The heroes had all evacuated the civilians from the battle zone and are currently fighting a losing battle. When they've been effectively captured and restrained by the two. Right before the villains could go into a monologue, they hear a person clearing their throat.
Everybody looks to see a 25 year old man wearing a sweater vest (he made it himself, thank you very much) currently holding onto the leash of a giant glowing green dog and some kind of giant animal hybrid. The man's arms were crossed and was currently not sporting a very happy look on his face.
Tucker and Sam (looking at Danny with hesitant smiles): Hi honey.
Danny (frowning): you missed our anniversary dinner.
Tucker and Sam both pale as they quickly realized what the date and time was.
The league all watch as Sam and Tucker immediately start apologizing to the man that just walked into a battle zone.
Danny (still frowning): Hmph! I guess since you two didn't want dinner you can go back to your little fight. Don't expect me to make you any lunches for the next month, and since you two are having so much fun here, you'll be sleeping by yourselves for the next couple weeks.
The league all watch as they were let go as Sam and Tucker yell as they run after Danny yelling apologies as he was walking away from them.
This is not the last they see of Danny.
When Danny is displeased with either of his partners, he'll invite a hero over to have lunch of afternoon tea.

You know what idea has always ENCHANTED ME?
Ever since I saw it on a sci-fi show?
The Deadly Magical House That Loves You™. See, it's a house that has become something MORE. Gained sentience. And? Instead of acting out some cheap horror movie jump scares? It digs deep to its foundations, thinks long n hard, and decides on what it WANTS.
And it WANTS?
To be a HOME™.
To TAKE CARE OF somebody. Have LIFE in its halls. Meals at its tables. Joy and laughter bouncing across its walls. So? It lays a trap. Lures people in.
Come live in me~
I am a good home.
I am Free! I am "Safe". I will give you whatever your heart desires.
I care not for morality or laws. Boundaries or taboos. Do you desire? Come, come, be HAPPY~! Live in me! Relax here! Forget about the world beyond these walls. Anything I can not give you, I can bring TOO you! This is a Happy Home.
But, of course, such sentience and pushiness terrifies. People run and flee in horror. The house getting more aggressive. Trying to hold tighter. After all! If they would just STAY for a while, they would SEE! It's so LOVELY here! The would LOVE to live inside them!
But... instead?
They are hurt.
Doors smashed open. Windows broken to escape. Furniture thrown. Their avatar, Jeeves, bashed with heavy things. Why... WHY?! They are only trying to HELP! To LOVE them! Be a good HOME! They grow more and more run down. Starved. Wrathful.
It is, of course, their Obsession. To be a home. They are so very hungry.
When? Who should come along?
But the depressed AF Ghost King! He's been... not TECHNICALLY kicked out. But "things are tense" kicked out. He's tired. His college courses are remote. He can't really AFFORD rent. And everything is just...
He's TIRED.
He wants to cry.
Why... why can't he have ONE good thing? ONE sign everything's gonna be alright?
"Free House!"
Well... I mean... that IS a literal sign. Huh. He flies down. The house notices him. Tries to look as enticing as it can. And? Gasp! I... It's WORKING? This one seems INTERESTED? Quick! Flowerbeds! Look at my flowerbeds! Ooooh, lovely floooowers! A.. and there's probably really nice wood flooring! C'mon. C'moooon!
Danny? Sees a free Lair. Not too far from both Gotham AND Metropolis. Good location. Needs a little fixing up. But I mean... you can't beat free, right?
Is he really gonna do this?
......fuck it. Yeah, let's do this. First house time. He's just glad he carries a sharpie on him most of the time. Scribbles "Sold!" Over the sign then calls Jazz. He's... kinda not sure WHAT he's supposed to pack?
Finds out, post move in, whoop. Sentient Lair. Clingy, clingy, highly desperate sentient Lair. Oof. Guess fixing up the place can be therapy for both of us. Jazz helps.
The house heals. He falls into a routine. Schoolwork, hang out in the garden or the observatory, meals FaceTiming friends or watching videos, naps whenever he wants them. It's... it's so peaceful. Quiet and soothing to his agitated and worn down soul. Like a balm.
House gets him whatever he needs. They're kinda awesome like that. Always seems to have room to fit this or that. He doesn't question it. His brain figuring it works on Zone logic.
He probably SHOULD have.
Because? Things have been going missing. At a slow, steady, pace. Food, technology, entertainment. A building that shouldn't BE there, has been spotted in a wealthy county just outside of Superman and Batman's two cities.
No one can get near it.
It's been getting BIGGER.
Growing, like a tumor, room by room. Floor by floor. The gardens creeping like kudzu, to swallow everything in their path. Yet delivery drivers drop things off. Things they don't remember. On trips they don't recall. People are scared.
Amateur detectives have managed to discover some sort of starlit fae that lives there, along with a human boy.
Justice League Dark has been called in. Are currently standing just outside the slowly creeping property line. A garden statue just hissed at them. The trees are trying to throw acorns. A hushed argument has already broken out. How do they contain the house?

Supersons +1 prompt answer
If you asked Danny, 12 year old half-ghost hero of Amity Park, how half-life was going, he'd tell you things were mixed.
On the one hand, he had just spent the last three or four months in family/scientist/'this house is a death trap waiting to happen' therapy with Jazz, and by some miracle, it worked. He wasn't sure if this was some kind of dream as his parents poured over years upon years of research, crossing out lines, rewriting equations, and reevaulating everything they thought they knew about ghosts.
Was the shudders family therapy worth not going over how they'd like to dissect him? he's still not sure. The horror.
Not to mention the attention. Danny was sure he was going to throw up if his parents drag him away for more bonding time, only for a ghost to attack and for him to run off to transform. What made it worse was when the Fentons came barrelling out, guns blazing, alternating between getting mad that he'd interrupted their family time, and asking him questions about "Your suspicious spook culture, if you even have one you dangerous delusional delinquent!"
At least they were trying, but Danny was very much comfortable not spilling the beans on the whole half-ghost situation, thank you very much.
And that's why, when Dad proposed to take him to Gotham to show off their latest invention, he jumped at the chance. The home city of the Batman, one of the greatest heroes known to man (except for Martian Manhunter and Superman of course) and Dad promised to take him to Gotham Observatory too. Not to mention how much he wanted to get away from Jazz's smug looks of superiority. Gotham here he comes!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Damian Wayne scowled as he scanned the crowed of scientists with more smarts than sense. Really, a flying toilet seat. For what deviant?
"Maybe they're for people who can fly." Kent piped up beside him. Father had let the two of them run off together, and his company was mildly more appealing than being alone with his thoughts.
"Why would Superman ever need to relieve himself mid-air. I do not believe you would appreciate your father's rear end being on display for all the world to see."
"True." Jon hummed. His voice lowered to a whisper. "You think indecent exposure is what your dad meant by "scoping out any potential future villains?"
Damian gave Jon a flat look. The sooner this convention ended, the better.
The crowded shifted, and the mass of visitors pushed toward a certain corner, where a man large enough to rival Superman's build stood upon a podium, with a boy their age off to the side.
"Ladies and gentlemen, let me introduce to you the latest in FentonWorks' innovations, the Fenton Ghost Zone Radar, soon to revolutionise the study of ghosts!"
"I thought ghosts were a magic thing." Jon said. "You know, stuff Constantine and JLD deal with."
"They are."
"Mixing magic and science is like, like, oil and water. No way this guy's serious, is he?"
"His name is Jack Fenton. That's Daniel Fenton, his son." Damian pointed to the boy in question, looking like he'd seen this scene a hundred times before, but with that knowing glint that promised something deeper. "They're normally spotted alongside Jack's wife, Madeline. Widely regarded as quacks by the larger scientific community for chasing paper-thin theories about ghosts, they've nonetheless gained funding from the government. This is the first time they've left their base of operations in Amity Park for years."
"Woah, you know your stuff, Dami!"
Damian glared at the young Superboy in disguise. "I read the briefing files. Didn't you?"
Kent looked uncomfortable and looked away. "Uhh, maybe?"
"Typical."
"Well, if he's so crazy, then why'd your dad even let him in." Upon another scathing glare, Kent relented. "Oh right, the whole supervillain thing."
"Enough chatter. We'll zero in on the younger Fenton. I intend to squeeze him like a grape, and make Father proud."
"Dami maybe you should be a little nicer-" Only for Damian to march off without him.
Honestly, inane niceties were above someone of his status. Those things were Superboy's job, and if Daniel Fenton wouldn't crack, then Damian was itching to try a new torture technique.
Info:super fucking short, it’s 5:30 am and I got shit to do at 6:30 and I haven’t slept a wink, sorry if it’s shit, this bad boy *smacks hood* took me a whole 20 minute to write
———✨⭐️🌟🌙———
-Imagine going on a cute date with Simon. Somewhere easy and small like a diner or the movies
-After you both decide you don’t want it to end so you take a walk through a near by park
-it’s only about 10pm but the sky is clear the star are out. If there’s one thing you love, it’s stars
-Hell, your wallpaper is the most recent picture of Jupiter curtesy of NASA (look it up if you haven’t seen it) (absolute fucking perfection I tell ya)
-As you walk around you can’t help but just stare up at the sky. Neck bent so far back that you choke when you try to swallow your spit, having to look forward and cough before going back to looking up
-The conversation carries on but Simon struggles to hide his amusement as you walk around talking with your neck bent unnaturally.
-He catches you the few times you stumble, murmuring a quiet, Careful sweetheart, that you obviously ignore as you go back to staring at the sky
-Just as your heading to the parking lot you notice a familiar constilation. The Little Dipper
-It’s the only one I can ever see! you tell him, eyes full of excitement
-Where is it at exactly luv? All I see are little dots.
-So you point at it, staring at him expectantly. Waiting for the, Oh wow that’s very cool or the Oh, I’ve never seen it before but it looks amazing
-Instead you’re met with the tell tale eye crinkle that says, Are you sure baby?
-Don’t looked at me like that Simon! It’s right there! You shove your finger in the same direction just harder, hoping that it’ll magically make the shape appear for him
-Sorry luv, still don’t see it
-Looking around you spot a bench and with a tight grip on his wrist, drag him over to it.
-After depositing Simon in-front of it you step on so you’re actually on his level. His attempt to turn and question you is stopped as you grab his head with both hands and line his gaze with yours.
-Ok, look at exactly where I’m pointing. You say with your head on his left shoulder and arm on his right, pointing directly at the constellation.
-You see it? If it were a really cup it’d be dumping out water right now. The handle is pointed to the Northeast and the bottom of the cup part is pointed Southeast. See?
-Oh yep, there it is. And you jump down satisfied that you finally got him to see it
-What YOU don’t see though, is how Simon’s cheeks flushed at the sudden closeness of his pretty date. Who, for some reason, really wanted him to see some stars.
-The rest of the night is fairly uneventful as Simon walks you to your door. With a small wave and a quiet goodnight you move into the doorway. Just as you start shutting the door, a boot stops you.
-Ever been to the observatory?
Hope y’all enjoyed!!
Post totk Lu Wild concept where he comes back to the group six years later with one less arm, a magic rock, and even more patches added to his champions tunic. Also I wanted to add concepts for what the light bow and arrow would look like when made with parts from the light dragon, since light arrows are infinite and appear in the bow when it’s being drawn, so that would make it easier for a single armed Wild to still participate in archery, he just has to use his teeth to draw it back.
More lore and close ups under the cut
Tumblr media
Someone had to inherit Mineru’s secret stone, and we all know how I’m a fan of giving it to Link. Also I hate the way the batteries are clumped together in the game so I changed it. The flames are based on poes and the other beaded waist part is made of dragon parts, they have a minor healing effect.
Tumblr media
The bottom of Wilds tunic embroidery is based on the astral observatory and the master sword room in the master sword trials, where all around the room there are landmarks from Hyrule pointing where they are on the map. So I wanted to have the post totk floating Hyrule castle as the main thing, mostly because it looks cool and bc I wanted Wilds perspective to be from the great plateau kinda. Anyway I worked hard to make it recognizable lmao.
One more thing I want to bring up is the new golden sleeve(s), the one(s) that Ganondorf burned off, replaced by fabric made of the light dragons hair. I just thought it would be neat and I feel like she would shed after not having her hair brushed in thousands of years. It glows in the dark and helps with the pain management in his amputated arm.
Edit: I forgot to mention but the placement of the secret stone is also something I thought about. I realized that since the other members of the triforce had their secret stones aligned with the center of their body (forehead, chest) I figured that it would make sense for Link to have his following the same rule. So I decided on his belt. Otherwise, it would've been lower on his chest, maybe where the triforce would be on his master sword embroidery but I didn't want to crowd the space too much and I really wanted to doodle that part to my heart's content lmao. The belt just seemed a little bare so it made sense to me lol.
Lucifer x Reader x Mammon
~ After an incident during magic practice, you no longer have a jacker to wear on your chilly walk home.
Genere: Fluff
Wc: 1.4k
Warnings: Brotherly competition, Mc is shorter than the brothers, mention of Mc overworking themselves and not taking care of themselves. Reader lights themselves on fire harmlessly.
It finally happened; you accidentally lit yourself on fire.
The enchanted flames from your fireball spell singe the fabric of your jacket, and you hastily throw it to the ground with a shriek. Your foot stomps frantically on the light pink flames in an attempt to salvage the garment, but you are unsuccessful and can only watch as the enchanted fire eats through the fabric, leaving nothing but a pile of ash in its place.
"Damn," you mutter, biting the inside of your cheek. You really liked that jacket.
With another huff, you grab your bag and prepare to leave. Next time you decide to practice your magic on a day off, you'll remember to wear the magic-proof garments Solomon told you about.
Sensing your presence, the double doors part for you magically. The heated air of the building disappears as soon as you step across the threshold. You shiver; the air is so much colder than you remembered it being on your walk over.
The thin short-sleeved shirt you're wearing does little to keep your body warm as hundreds of little goosebumps prickle your skin, and you wrap your arms around yourself, trying to keep the little heat your body is letting out.
The cold wind seems to make your walk to the House Of Lamination much longer than usual as it whistles a melancholy tune that bounces off the iron fence posts along the walkway. The dark clouds overhead foreshadow a heavy bout of rain coming your way.
You quicken your pace, hoping to soon be back home and in the arms of one of your much warmer demons.
Maybe you can take a nap with Belphie and watch the storm through the roof of the observatory?
Maybe Asmo will let you warm up in his bathtub?
Maybe Satan could read to you by the fireplace?
Whatever it is you end up doing, you know that you will be warm and relaxed, unlike now.
The wind blowing in your ear and the drumming of your heartbeat makes it close to impossible to hear anything else as you turn a corner blindly and bump directly into someone's back.
"Oi, what gives?" a familiar voice says. Taking a step back, you realize that it was Mammon you had just bumped into. Just beyond him, you notice that Lucifer is with him as well, his arms crossed over his chest. "Huh, Mc? What are ya doin out here?" The Avatar of Greed asks, trying to hide the elation on his features at your presence.
"I'm sorry, Mammon, I didn't mean to bump into you," you say quickly. "I was just leaving the private casting room at RAD and wanted to get home before the rain came."
"Mc," Lucifer addresses, looking you over. His discerning gaze lingers on your exposed arms and shivering figure before narrowing his crimson eyes. "Where is your jacket? You had it on when you left earlier today."
Shit, of course, he would notice that kind of thing.
"I kinda set it on fire," you admit with an innocently guilty smile on your face.
"Just the jacket?" he presses, raising a brow.
"I kinda, maybe, sorta was wearing the jacket when it was set on fire," you admit directing your gaze to the all too interesting pavement. The random cracks and stones are much less humbling than this conversation with Lucifer is.
"So you set yourself on fire."
"Yes…accidentally."
Lucifer's hands reach up to rub his temples in exasperation as Mammon gasps.
"What do you mean you set yourself on fire?" he exclaims, reaching out to grab you by the shoulders. His hands are warm on your cold skin, and his face is filled with worry. "What the? Your skin is so cold."
"I was t-trying to get home. "You say softly, doing your best to fight the shivers.
"Silly human, ur gonna get sick out here." Mammon sighs, pulling his leather jacket down his shoulders and placing it over his own. Although leather may not be the best material for generating heat, already, you feel as if you are being held tightly.
Breathing in, you smell just a bit of Mammon's cologne. The scent comforts you, warming you up in a different way as you look up at the handsome demon whose body is physically shielding yours from the wind. "I feel much better now, thank you, Mammon."
His cheeks turn pink at the sight of you wearing his clothes, and he turns away, "It's nothin'; the Great Mammon just doesn't want to hear ya sneezing tonight, that's all."
"I see," you nod, not fooled at all by the tsundere's words. "So that's all?"
"Ya might want to stay close though, so ya don't get too cold."
Just as he is about to take your hand, Lucifer clears his throat.
Mammon, do you really think that will warm them up sufficiently?" The Avatar of Pride says, taking a step between the two of you. He looks down at you affectionately as he speaks. "Mc, you should really wear my cape instead; you would be much warmer.
"Oi, they're not taking it off," Mammon says protectively, zipping up his jacket all the way up to your throat childishly as a way of proving his point.
"Hmmm, then I suppose I'll just have to give them another layer to keep them warm," he replies, taking it off his shoulders and draping it over you like a blanket. The weight warms you even more as you feel the soft fur against your face.
"How is that, Love?" he says, leaning in to secure it in place. "Is this other layer warming you up?"
"Mmhmm, I feel much better," you sigh, giving him a content smile.
"You really shouldn't be so reckless," he breathes into your ear; his breath is warm but sends a different kind of shiver down your spine. "What would I do if you were to catch a cold out here?"
"I'm sorry?" you offer, unconsciously leaning into his warmer frame. He chuckles warmly and allows you to lean on him.
"Sounds about right," Mammon says, wrapping an arm around your other side. "Ya really gotta take better care of yourself, or at least let me take care of ya. I'm your first, after all."
You giggle as the three of you go along, not noticing the subtle way both brothers are trying to steer you closer to their side of the walkway.
"Oh," Lucifer says, placing a hand on your shoulder. "It seems the cape is a bit too long for you; I wouldn't want you to fall. Allow me to take you back."
Looking down, you see that he is right; the dark fabric of his cape is dragging behind you. "Are you sure?" you ask. "We are almost back at the house; I can walk the rest of the way."
"Don't be silly; the rain is about to come down, so it's better if I carry you," he says with the persuasion expected of a demon such as himself. You find yourself nodding, and he scoops you into his arms effortlessly.
"I wanted to take them," Mammon whines, reaching a hand out to you with puppy dog eyes.
"You didn't ask Mammon," Lucifer smirks at his younger brother before looking at you with a loving expression. "Is this comfortable?"
"Very," you nod, resting your head on his shoulder, feeling the warmth of the two demons' clothing enveloping you.
Lucifer is too proud to ever admit it, but getting to take care of you like this is one of his guiltiest pleasures. Especially when you are draped in his clothing and secure in his arms.
You work too hard, and they all know it.
"Not fair," Mammon pouts, reaching out to hold your hand in hopes of getting some kind of physical contact with you.
You smile and give his hand a squeeze. "Just you wait, Mc; when we get back, I'll make ya the best cup of tea you've ever had, and then we can go and watch a movie under all those blankets you like."
"That sounds good." you say, "We could all watch something together by the fireplace; I can even show you guys the spell I was working on."
Lucifer and Mammon lock eyes worriedly, "Uhhh, maybe not." the white-haired demon says.
"Perhaps you should rest for now." Lucifer offers. "You can go and get changed, and I'll take care of the fire."
"In Your Eyes" spoiler alert (analysis and theories)
This post ended up being longer than expected, so I appreciate in advance if you'll take the time to read it all :]
Originally I wrote all this in Spanish so I leave you the post with the original text here, in case of any error in the translation.
I wanna start by saying that this map left me with more questions than answers, but I did my best. Anyway, this post is gonna focus on Leda/Night Swan and her story, plus some theories I’ve got about where the lore might go next.
Not sure if Jack is actually The Traveler’s kid, but let’s give him the benefit of the doubt and say he is. Jack seems to admire him a lot, to the point of trying to copy his moves from afar, while we see Leda looking annoyed, refusing to go back to Earth and arriving at Eternyx.
Here, she impresses people with her flow, with Cygnus and Mihaly being the most relevant ones. We also see her magic having an interesting interaction with the pink liquid flowing through the streets (I’ll come back to this later).
The routine goes on with Cygnus and Leda interacting, and they end up at what looks like Cygnus’ place, where he somehow impresses/manipulates Leda with a prophecy that says she would take control of the danceverse. Leda seems to like this a lot, so she changes her outfit and heads back to the observatory to bring Jack to Eternyx with her.
Now that that’s out of the way, I’m gonna try to give a chronological recap of Leda/Night Swan’s story and highlight the most important points.
In MOTD, we find out that Leda is human and entered the danceverse thanks to The Traveler and Discoball. For some reason, The Traveler decides it’s a good idea to teach her how to open portals to different danceverses (I guess it’s some kind of magic). She learns how to do it and ends up refusing to go back to Earth, staying with The Traveler and starting a relationship with him.
Like I said before, we’ll assume that Jack was born from this relationship, and this is where the events of "In Your Eyes" happen (and here’s where my theory begins). I wondered for a while, "If Cygnus is a city full of factories, what are they even producing/processing?" And I think we now have the answer... *drumrolls*
It looks like it’s flow (but a materialized, liquid kind of flow in a bright pink color). I’m not sure how it’s used, but this is a key point in my theory, so I’m gonna call it "liquid flow."
Back to the story, Leda already seemed obsessed with perfection back when she was on Earth, and meeting Cygnus and hearing the prophecy was the last straw that pushed her over the edge. But how did Cygnus realize the prophecy was about Leda? That’s right, because she could interact with the liquid flow, which leads us to Cygnus and Leda’s plan to take over the danceverse.
Now we move on to the next map, "Darkest Hour," which seems to be the first part of their plan. In this map, we see Leda in the industrial area of Cygnus, where the smoke from the factories is a pastel pink color at first, but during the routine, her interaction with the factories turns the smoke black, hinting that she corrupted the liquid flow At some point, she learns to use this liquid flow to turn the coaches into minions.
I think the story continues in "Lose Yourself," but since it’s still in beta, I’ll just highlight that in this map, we see the "corrupted liquid flow" on the streets and the minions of who is now Night Swan.
Let’s continue with everything that happens in "Enter the Danceverses" (if you’ve made it this far, I’m assuming you know what went down). But I want to point out a few details. We see Jack remembering a very specific move from The Traveler during his map, and this could be why NS seems annoyed with him. He also uses this move to save Wanderlust when he was turned into a minion. At the end, we see NS escaping to Cygnus after being defeated (probably to come up with another plan with Cygnus).
The story continues in "Dance with the Swan" (again, I’ll assume you know what happened here), and the important detail here is the ending. A while ago, I wondered, "Why does NS leave on a ship instead of using a portal?" We kinda got the answer here; the place she’s heading to is the source of the liquid flow, which, for some reason, can only be reached by ship.
Now, let’s go back to the prophecy. We see where this liquid flow naturally comes from in Eternyx, which is like a volcano on an island (based on the images, it seems like Chaos Mountain). This place was protected by three deities that NS corrupts (I’m guessing they’re coaches we already know or will get to know) and takes control of this place. After she gathers an army using the power of this corrupted liquid flow she goes back to this island, and with its power, she’s able to conquer the rest of the danceverses.
Based on this, here are my theories 🤓☝️:
Phoenix is one of the deities that protected Chaos Mountain (she’s the only coach with a routine there).
The "liquid flow" is dangerous, even when it’s not corrupted. Despite it flowing through Eternyx’s streets, no one interacts with or touches it. Jack seems like he’s about to touch it in "Treasure" but doesn’t.
NS is gonna use Discoball to send her minions to the rest of the danceverses.
Jack will somehow purify these deities to stop his mom’s plan.
I also suspect that Mothigan and Darius could be the other two deities since they’re somehow linked to flying animals, like Phoenix.
What do flying animals have to do with flow or being deities? I have no idea; honestly, I’m just pulling this theory out of thin air.
But as I was rereading this, I thought of a connection: the ability to fly. The island where the "liquid flow" originates is inaccessible without a boat, but flying could also be a way to get there. That would also explain where the names Night Swan and Cygnus come from.
That’s the end of my theories. I’m really surprised you made it this far; thanks for taking the time to read all of this 🫶, and sorry for making it so long.
Oh wow, I really just wrote 5000 characters of a theory for a dancing game. If this isn’t the definition of hyperfixation, then Idk what is
Fear Of The Known
Lucifer x Fem!Angel!Reader
|Chapter Twenty|
Tumblr media
Charlie burst inside through the hotel doors, tears running down her cheeks, her breaths coming out in heavy pants. "Dad!" She called out. "Dad! Where are you!?"
"Charlie, what's wrong?" Vaggie hurried to her girlfriend's side. She held onto her shoulders, trying to calm her down. Though, it did little to nothing to put Charlie at easy. "What happened?" Vaggie tried again, this time a bit more urgently.
"I-It's Y/n! She's-"
A puff of red smoke caught the two's attention. Lucifer growing immediately concerned at the sight of his distraught daughter. "Charlie?" He approached her. Another sob left Charlie as more tears fell from her eyes. Now Lucifer was upset. Had someone hurt her? And Y/n...She was suppose to be with Charlie. Where was she?
"Charlie, where's Y/n?" Lucifer asked.
"They took her..." And that was all Lucifer needed to hear.
Lucifer's hand twitched before it balled into a tight fist, his eyes turned a deep shade of crimson.
"Dad, what are we going to do?" Charlie sniffled. With what little composure Lucifer had left, he spoke. "I'm going to get her back." He said before walking ahead to the hotel doors.
"I'm going to!" Charlie said as she went to follow her father. "No." Lucifer said firmly. "I do not want you involved. I doubt once I contact 'his heavenly grace' we will will have a peaceful conversation. I will handle this, I'll call you afterwards and let you know what's happening from there."
Before Charlie could argue, Lucifer sprouts his wings and shot off into the air.
Vaggie held Charlie's hand. "Can he really contact Heaven?" She asked. Charlie nods. "He can go back there, but he has a way to speak with God whenever he choses. It's a magic mirror that acts as somewhat of a phone, I remember seeing it when I was a kid."
Vaggie looks up at Charlie. "Do you think he can get Y/n back?" Charlie wiped away her tears. "I hope so. But, after what dad said. I have a feeling he'll be less than polite when he does speak with God." She starts for the doors. "Things could get out of hand, I can't let that happen. It might make things worse for Y/n."
Vaggie was quick to follow. "Then I'm coming with you. If things do get out of hand, I'll be there to protect you." Charlie smiled at Vaggie before the two hurry outside the hotel.
Meanwhile, Lucifer had reached his castle. He stormed inside of the old observatory. By this point, his full demonic form was on full display. He briskly walked to the center of the room, where multiple shards of glass floated in a circular motion.
Lucifer moved his hand upward, and the shards followed and formed into a oval shaped mirror. The mirror then extended ten times it's original size, a light glow emanated from the mirror.
"Show me father." Lucifer growled lowly.
The light grew slightly brighter, there was only the sound of a low buzz from the mirror and the whip of Lucifer's tail as it lashed out from side to side.
After a moment, the mirror's glow faded. And suddenly, God appeared in the glass of the mirror.
"Lucifer." God spoke with grace. "I can't say I wasn't expecting this call."
"Oh yeah? Then you know what I'm going to say next, right?" Lucifer hissed. "Give her back. Now!" He roared. God was unphased by his outburst.
"I can't do that." Before Lucifer could argue, God continued. "And besides that. What are you realistically going to do? You know you are unable to re-enter Heaven. It's not as if you can come get her yourself."
"If I were able...I would lay waste to your perfect fucking paradise." Lucifer snarled.
God sighed with a slight shake of his head. "I'll have you know, Y/n's fate had already been decided by the council. She was to be exiled, and mind you, she is not like you. Y/n is but a simple angel. She might not have survived the fall." He explained. "Had Michael not stepped in and changed their minds-"
"So Michael was the one who took her?" Lucifer interrupts.
"Lucifer. Y/n is an angel, she can not abandon her place here in Heaven. It would be in your best interest to leave her be, and move on."
"I can't do that!" Lucifer's voice cracked slightly as he yelled. "I can't just move on! I have never been able to move on from her, even back when I fell! I was always thinking of her! To be apart from her now, I can't bare it! I can't bare being alone again! She is my muse, my light, my heart! I love her!"
Silence filled the room, Lucifer moved his hands to his face. Ashamed to have him see his tears. Lucifer fought back his emotions, and looked through the gaps of his fingers. His sharp yellow pupils, the only thing broke through the crimson of his eyes, glared straight at God.
"I love her...and you stole her from me."
Tumblr media
Y/n was sat on the bed inside of the cell, knees hugged close to her chest as she stared blankly at the wall in front of her. She couldn't pretend like she never expected this to happen. Y/n did act out against Heaven, she ran away, she fell in love with the devil.
And now, she would be imprisoned for the rest of time. But if she could go back, she wouldn't do anything differently. Y/n had Lucifer back in her life after so many years. That alone, was more than worth it.
Tears pricked at her eyes at the thought of Lucifer. She supposed, if she really could go back, there'd be only one thing she'd do differently.
She would have told Lucifer sooner, just how much she loved him.
"Lucifer..." Y/n sniffled, hiding her in her hands as she cried.
Now she would never get the chance to tell him. She would never see him again.
'Now now...don't cry little angel.'
Y/n gasped, lifting her head and looking to the bars of the cell, only to find no one there.
"I haven't been here more than a few hours...and I'm already hearing voices." Y/n muttered bitterly.
'Yes, you are. But I assure you, I am here with you, little angel.'
Y/n whipped her head around, trying to locate the source of the voice. "W-Where are you?" She asks hesitantly. From the corner of the cell, black smoke slowly crawled it's way to Y/n.
She watched with bated breath as the smoke grew ever closer, then suddenly, the smoke started to rise upward. It then began to take on the form of a woman, only, Y/n could not make out any features. Other than the glowing red eyes, that pierced into her soul.
"Who...Who are you?" Y/n asked.
'My name matters very little right now.' Said the woman. 'What should matter is, how are we going to escape?'
Y/n blinked. "Escape? You were imprisoned too?"
'In a matter of speaking. Truthfully, I can come and go as I please. However, I can very little in this form. My power is limited.' The woman explained. She hovered next to Y/n. 'I believe we both could benefit from each other. You clearly do not want to be here, and I have the means to help you escape. However...'
She hovered to Y/n's left. 'I can't do that unless I have a host.'
"A host?" Y/n repeats.
'Indeed.' The woman then appeared in front of Y/n. 'I believe we should make a deal. You allow me to use your body, and I, will free you of this place.'
"Y-You can really free me from this cell?" Asked Y/n.
A breathy chuckle escaped the woman. 'I can free you from Heaven's grasps, little angel.'
Y/n's eyes went wide, her heart skipped a beat. But she quickly composed herself. "You won't even tell me your name. And you expect me to just trust you? To let you posses my body, no questions asked?" She turned away from the woman. "Thank you, but I'll pass. I'm certain you'll trick me somehow."
'Trick you? Don't you think you've been through enough heartache?' The woman was yet again in view of Y/n. 'I only wish to help you.'
"I don't believe you." Y/n said firmly. The woman went silent for a moment before hovering to sit next to Y/n.
'You are not the only one who has been hurt by Heaven and their rules.' Y/n didn't respond. 'Long ago, I believed that angels could do no wrong. That they would never bring harm to any soul, living or not. But I was horribly mistaken...Heaven hurt me in a way I could never forgive.' She went on.
'I didn't always look like this. I was beautiful, pure, naive...And Heaven stripped that all away.'
Y/n looked over at the woman. "You're a demon." The woman only nodded her head. "How are you here? No demon can enter Heaven's gates. Not unless they had a significant amount of power."
'I do. Well, I did. As I said before, in this form, I am powerless.'
Y/n narrows her eyes. "If you are suggesting I aid you in getting revenge then-"
'Not revenge.' The woman interrupts. 'It's been an eternity since I was betrayed, I have long moved on since then. No, it is not revenge I am after.'
"Then...what do you want?" Asked Y/n.
'Simple. All I want, is for my power to be restored. I am owed that much, after what Heaven has done to me. After that, you and I shall part ways.'
Y/n fell silent. She couldn't trust this demon, there had to be some sort of catch. Demons were untrustworthy creatures, after all. But then, the sinners of Charlie's hotel came to mind.
They had all been damaged one way or another, and yet, they were good people. Despite what Heaven has to say, those demons were some of the most kindhearted Y/n has ever had to pleasure of meeting.
Perhaps this woman was just another damaged soul, misjudged and misunderstood in the ignorant eyes of Heaven.
Y/n exhaled. "If I do this, there will be no going back. Making a deal with a demon, is a sinful act. One worthy of exile..."
'But wouldn't you rather leave on your own terms?' Asked the woman. 'You have someone waiting for you, after all.'
"I do...I want nothing more than to return to him." Y/n sighs. She looks in the eyes of the woman. "I'd risk everything to be with him again. I have already, what's one more time?"
'Then, allow me to help you, little angel...'
Tumblr media
Michael walked through the prison halls, wracking his brain, trying to think of what to say once he faces Y/n. He knew he could get down on his knees and apologize one thousand times over, but it would do nothing to change her view of him now.
He never wanted to hurt her like this. But he was unwilling to loose her forever. Whilst he thought about what to say to her, he also was coming up with what he could say to the council, to change their minds.
Michael reached the bottom of the stairs, and made his way down the hall towards Y/n's cell. But suddenly, he stopped.
A horrible sense of dread crept up the back of his mind, as he felt a most wicked presence in the air. "Y/n!" Michael yelled before taking off as fast as he could to the cell.
Something wasn't right. That presence...it felt eerily familiar to him. He had not known it for some time, but he could recognize who it belong to, just barely.
Michael finally reached Y/n's cell, she had her back turned to him. Michael did a quick scan of the room with his eyes before speaking. "Y/n." She was the only one in that cell. Was he wrong?
However, when Y/n did not respond, Michael's concern grew. "Y/n." He said more firmly this time.
Finally, Y/n slowly turned to face him. Michael's heart plummeted and his eyes grew wide as saucers as they stared into Y/n's own. Only...
Those eyes did not belong to Y/n.
Deep red eyes, broken by white pupils stared back into Michael's. Black veins stretched up and down from Y/n's neck and down from her eyes.
Golden blood dripped down Y/n's face, from the cut made right through the star of her forehead. Her "third eye", now blinded,
A slow grin formed on Y/n's face. "Mikey...is that you?" It was Y/n's voice, but...
Michael swiftly opened the cell doors, and drew his sword, aiming it at Y/n. He could feel his heartbeat in his ears.
"Oh Mikey, you wouldn't." 'Y/n' smirked. "You wouldn't hurt this poor angel would you? Don't you care about her?"
Michael's breaths left him in uneven and ragged draws. His grip on the hilt of his sword tightened, and he could feel sweat gathering in his palms. Finally, he found his voice.
"What have you done?"
'Y/n' chuckled.
"What have you done to her!? Roo!" Michael yelled.
"Oh, come now Mikey! You can't entirely blame me for this. You know I couldn't have taken her body without her consent. She wanted this." Roo slowly approached Michael. "Or rather...she wanted out. She couldn't stand spending one more second in this place. And I don't blame her."
"Enough!" Michael demands. "Leave her body, now Roo!"
"You know I can't do that, not until our deal is done." Roo tells him. Michael nearly lost his grip on his sword. "Deal...you made a deal with her!?"
Roo stops once the tip of the sword was inches from her chest. "If you want me gone so badly...go ahead. Get rid of me. Oh but, remember. If you do this, you'll be killing your precious fortune teller."
Michael glared at Roo, his grip tightening on his sword until it trembled in his hand.
Roo's smile grew, a silent challenge made toward Michael.
Michael's harden expression weakened, he slowly lowered his sword and looked away from her shamefully. Roo laughed. "I thought so." She walked past Michael as she spoke.
"You have nothing to worry about. I promise, no harm will come of your dear Y/n. She's not the one I'm after..." A dark void grew from underneath Roo's feet. "See you around, Mikey." The last thing Michael heard was Roo's wicked laughter before it eventually faded away, and he was left alone in silence.
Michael fell to his knees, his sword hitting the ground next to him. With a yell of fury, the floor cracked and broke as he brought his fist down.
Tumblr media
"It's pretty fucking obvious Y/n isn't happy up there, with the rest of you condescending, pretentious, pompous angels." Lucifer spat. "And I don't blame her. I wouldn't be surprised if every angel starts to revolt against your fucked up ways of thinking!"
God simply sighed. "Alright Lucifer. What is it going to take for you to let this go? I can not return Y/n to you, not while her soul is still pure."
"I am not 'letting this go' old man!" Lucifer growled.
"Do you truly wish for Y/n to become corrupt? For her soul to be tainted, to be turned into a demon? I'm sure you of all people remember how that transition went."
Lucifer could not argue. He can still recall the pain of his new form taking over his old. And would never forget the pain his ex wife went through as well. So, was he really willing to put Y/n through that?
When Lucifer fell silent, God continued. "It's not like your asking for any ordinary angel. Y/n is beloved in the eyes of Heaven. If she were to leave, people would start to question. Adam is gone, and that raised more than a few eyebrows up here. What do you think will happen, when Y/n suddenly disappears?"
"What do I think will happen?" Lucifer laughs. "What should have happened that day I revolted against you. Not everyone was so on board to realize the truth then, but I wonder how they'd react now? If Y/n is as beloved as you say she is, surely some souls will follow."
God was not pleased by this answer. "Watch what you say, Lucifer."
"You know I'm right. Don't you?" Lucifer smirks. Before God could say anything else, the doors to the observatory opened. The two turned their attention to who dared to interrupt.
"Charlie?" Lucifer muttered. Charlie hurried further inside of the room, followed by Vaggie, who subconsciously kept close to Charlie after seeing God in the mirror.
"Sorry dad, but I had to make sure things wouldn't get out of hand." Charlie says before looking to God. She pushes down her nerves and speaks clearly and confidently.
"Hello. I'm sure my dad has already asked if Y/n could come back." She starts. God, with a much gentler tone than before speaks. "He has. And I'll tell you the same thing I told him. Y/n can not return to you, she is an angel."
"Isn't there any way she could?" Asked Charlie. "I get she's an angel but, she can go back and forth between Heaven and Hell easily. Why couldn't she just live in both places?"
"If it were that simple, we wouldn't be having this conversation." Said God. "Y/n is needed here, the souls of Heaven rely on her gift."
When God saw Charlie's defeated expression, he sighed. "I understand you all care about her. But there is nothing I can do."
"I thought 'his heavenly grace' could do anything. You're God after all. When did your power suddenly not mean shit?"
"Lucifer, please. I-" God was cut off by the sudden sound of Michael's voice.
"Father!" Michael sounded frantic. "It's Y/n! She's escaped!"
Lucifer, Charlie and Vaggie all looked shocked, and just a tad hopeful.
God narrowed his eyes raising his hand, the mirror suddenly loosing it's glow and began to fall back into the small shards of glass.
"Hey! Old man don't you hang up on me!" Lucifer growled. But it was too late, the glass shards fell back into place. Floating in the same circular motion as before.
"Y/n escaped?" Charlie gasped. "Dad this is great! She'll come back!"
Lucifer didn't answer, his eyes still fixed on the glass. "Dad?" Charlie took a step closer to him.
"I don't think it will be that easy. The way Michael sounded..." Lucifer murmured. "I feel that something's gone terribly wrong..."
Drew Rosalina 🌙 ✨
Tumblr media
And her little star Luna ⭐
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Info-Why does Rosalina look so different? I designed her to appear as a tired mother and Star royalty, blessed to have her Lumas by her side. She sees them all as her children, particularly her closest Luma turned human, "Luna". Rosalina grew up fast after the loss of her mother and felt alone. As a child with no parental figure, she chose to be her own mother. However, she is terrified of losing her beloved children, even if it's the natural cycle of life and death. She doesn't get enough sleep due to her duties as the technical queen of space, building the Comet Observatory for her massive family, including Luna.
Why did Luma (Luna) turn into a human? Well, after meeting Mario and his friends who resembled humans, they wanted to experience something new. They asked their mother, Rosalina, for help, and she was unsure if it would fully work, as she had never turned anything into a human before. Thankfully, Rosalina's years of experience with magic allowed her to perform the spell correctly. The humanoid Luma then named themself Luna and went on to have many memorable adventures with their new friends.
Luna is considered to be the big sister or big brother, and they don't mind being called different pronouns. They don't understand the concept of gender and chose a form that's closest to looking like their mother. Luna is taller than most of the Mario cast, although not as massive as Rosalina. Rosalina can be 10 feet or 5 feet depending on the occasion, while Luna's powers are limited. Luna is currently in training to use cosmic magic, and needs to use a Rosalina wand to do so. My Rosalina in this AU can use cosmic magic without a wand, and her lifelong experience with magic is reflected throughout her appearance. She has a cape that's essentially a black hole, where she can be anything inside and pull something random. That's where she keeps all of her Lumas for safekeeping. Luna's cape, on the other hand, lacks this ability, but it can sparkle like a fairy.
Rosalina's outfit resembles her original design, with some slight differences. This is her relaxation outfit, which she wears when taking a break from her responsibilities and wants to unwind. Her pupils resemble stars, along with the coloring on her fingers, legs, nose, and ears. This is the result of using cosmic powers for many decades, which have a lasting effect on their appearance that varies depending on their emotions and state of mind. Luna, on the other hand, does not have this problem because they instead use a ward to control their magic.
That's all for today. ε-(´・`) フ
So here are some of my imaginings of what could have happened with human star. This isn’t a full rewrite (in case it seems choppy), just me rambling about many of the ideas I had. Though, I may write some of these. But please, ask or talk to me about it. It's so much fun to imagine. This is a long post, so I've put the rest under the cut. ✨
Some people have mentioned Star being mute. I’m not sure if they are actually referencing the star we got in the movie, so I’m just going to say that his voice is the last thing he finds in his humanoid form, and that he does in fact, mime things. If he talks, it's very little.
I want to know more about Asha’s father and her relationship with him. He seemed to be some sort of philosopher or astronomer. He drew maps, and he always recognized a certain star that only appeared at certain times of the year, right above the castle, and moved in an arc over it with the Earth's rotation. He called it the wishing star. You know, the star. He had a powerful wish too—one that he gave to King Magnifico before he tragically passed. But, he doesn't have full control over the wishes... yet. The wishes of those who have passed ascend to the stars, where they hold them safe.
Perhaps she's already known about his evil intent, even though no one else does. I'd also like to see more of Asha's flaws. If she's caring or people pleasing to a fault, I almost want to see it cause a problem. Maybe she accidentally impedes on something important and completely messes it up, possibly even the wish ceremony in an attempt to get her grandpa's wish granted (to inspire future generations). It would give more impact before she runs into the woods and sings This Wish. (just please don't say "throw caution to every warning sign" cause... what?)
Do you know the concept art of when Star first comes down to Earth? I think after Star's light envelopes the island, he would awaken in the forest, confused as to why he is so far from home. Asha finds him, and of course, is equally confused. He sees her and slowly realizes that she is the one who called him down and that he's on Earth.
I would want to see lots of shapeshifting here. There could be a song as he slowly gives his magic to the trees and the animals that explains who exactly he is, and by extension, how the galaxies, planets, and life are formed. He personally knows many of the stars we know about (you know, like Spica or Arcturus). In fact, when she tells him about her seven friends, he is reminded of seven stars he knows deeply, the Pleiades (his guiding constellation). She knows about them because her father showed her.
I think that concept would also give more depth and lore to King Magnifico’s sorcery. What he keeps in his room are akin to chemistry experiments, if you will, so it’s clear that he practices some sort of alchemy. He could have only retrieved magic like this from the cosmos, possibly the life force of the stars. She asks him if he can grant her grandfather’s wish. He shakes his head or signals. He can't. And of course, he doesn’t know or have the wish. King Magnifico is in possession of it.
Imagine they fly, like a Peter Pan-esque way (or maybe in the end, because they have to stay hidden). I want her to talk more about her father. Maybe he has an observatory. If the stars need to align a certain way for Magnifico to perform an ultimate spell, one of the keys to stopping him would be there.
He's still naive to exactly what's going on, yet he imparts wisdom, almost by accident, that make Asha realize. Since he isn't fully familiar with humans and their world, he probably messes with some items he sees and definitely knocks some things over. (I don’t know why but I imagined him hiding inside a jar.) But he's so fascinated by the smallest things in the world. Asha doesn't want him to be seen because she knows they'll be in deep trouble, but what if Star runs off out of curiosity and impresses a small crowd of people with his magic tricks. But of course, someone goes to pass along the word and soon enough, it'll reach Magnifico. I'm sure he wants to meet her friends too, but she has to try to hide him as she interacts with them and maneuvers her way up the castle.
I want the idea of humans being like stars of our own to slowly come to light over the story rather than in one song. Star can see all the wishes in people’s hearts, like the cores of stars. He can see each person for who they truly are at the core of their beings, in their purest forms. He wants to show her at some point, so, he takes her hands. And he feels a profound love for the first time. He feels the love she has in her heart for her family and her. For the first time, he can see where the wishes he hears come from, because...
After everything, Asha and Star finally reach the castle and find all the wishes. Star instantly recognizes their forms. And here, Asha finally sees the wishes of her family—her mother, her grandfather. But one is missing. Some people have died never knowing their wishes they gave to King Magnifico. Star has seen and held them before, because the wishes of those who have passed ascend to the stars, where they hold them safe. That includes Asha’s late father’s. And Star is the one holding it safe. So, he reaches deep within himself and pulls it out. She hold it in her hands, and it breaks her heart. His wish was for all people to know that in a world of matter who they are, their dreams are within reach. They shouldn't ever stop looking up because someone told them they can't. If they're going to sing At All Costs with the original words, this is when it would be. It would be so profoundly magical, like an I See The Light kind of moment. Their love for these precious wishes and for each other. Imagine, Asha’s holding her father’s dream in her arms, and very carefully, she passes it back to Star for safekeeping, yet at the same time, they’re holding each other.
Imagine, just imagine, that he was the star on her father's map.
Magnifico still ultimately wants to capture Star and keep him inside his staff forever so he can dictate the world. And Star holds some of the wishes of the passed? That’s even better for his quest for power. In fact, he aims to become so powerful that he can pull the wishes down from the heavens. He could extend his power into the cosmos. And if Asha made a mistake earlier in the film, people would be much more likely to believe him at first when declares Asha a traitor and lies that she's the one who destroyed their wishes. Also, he needs a bit more epic of a villain song.
I think they would be forced into hiding. Asha's friends are there and they still sing Knowing What I Know Now complete with some Star shapeshifting.
Her friends hadn't showed up as promised. Perhaps Magnifico had put an end to their uprising. Either way, Asha and Star confront him. Star is the last person she has by her side, and with a few words of his spell, he sucks him into his staff. He finally has the power he's craved. He can pull the wishes down from the heavens and crush them. She is alone when he commands the clouds to cover the stars and says his line of “There will be no more hope" (I don't remember the exact wording). She looks out to see the kingdom in hiding, wondering if her friends are really there like they said they would be. It's dark and storming, and she's so alone in the moment that it seems that Magnifico has already won. There are no stars in sight. Yet, she remembers how Star showed her that each person is made of everything that comes from the stars. So she begins to sing: So I look out to the stars just like me.
It turns out, her friends are there. They show up right when she needs them most and begin to sing with her, their hearts alight like the cores of stars. It's not enough. But the kingdom sees hope, and that's when they begin to come out. I mean from across the island, from their homes. He still casts a spell, and while weighed down, they still sing. That way, Magnifico's "mirror mirror" sequence could also extend across the whole island.
And Star breaks free. He ascends, high, and the wishes Magnifico attempted to pull down to Earth are let free. And when the clouds dissipate, he's sucked into his staff and defeated.
It would honest be funny if Star plummeted just to appear over the balcony and surprise her. And then... this is when they kiss.
So, she reunited with her loved ones as was in the ending, and of course, he must return to the heavens soon. (And be the guiding star). Asha loves him, but she loves her friends and family too, and her kingdom needs her. So, he bestows a new gift on her that she's worthy of. She would become the first fairy godmother and have the ability to commune with the stars. She can go between the heavens and Earth. She would have a dress transformation that would be reminiscent of the one in Cinderella. Sabino also begins to pluck his lute and play When You Wish Upon a Star in the end. When Star does return home, maybe, he leaps like a shooting star over the castle. Get it?
I appreciate that the setting alludes to the various cultures of it's inhabitants from around the Mediterranean region (I would love if even more variety was shown as a Mediterranean person myself), but I really want more of Asha's specific cultural background to be portrayed. I'm trying to think exactly what role Queen Amaya would have in the narrative. I've heard her and Magnifico were supposed to be the first villain couple which sounds so cool! I'm trying to imagine how exactly the dynamic would be there. If you have any ideas then lmk. ^^
What I'm Doing With The TS2 Universities: The Best-Laid Plans
So because my darling @uberhood teens are starting to go off to school, I'm starting to remodel the universities! Right now I'm thinking about how to make them distinct from each other-- especially since I overdid it and accidentally added every fucking campus in the game and a few modded ones.
So, I'm making this post so I remember wtf I was planning to do with all of these unis. What architectural styles was I planning to use? What mascots was I planning to give them?
Sim State University
I know this blog is lichen focused, but I also consider it a science blog and a space where I can talk about my experiences in science and academia. My most recent field work involved catching, handling, and ringing birds at a bird observatory, and I wanted to talk a little about the harsh realities of working with wild animals that I feel like don't get represented enough. I think it's important to paint a fair and realistic picture of what the world of animal research looks like, as it often gets misrepresented in media.
Wild animals do not like being handled. You have probably heard some story or seen some movie that makes it seem like you are somehow gonna connect to the animals you are working with and reassure them that you mean them no harm. No no, you are a big scary predator and they have no idea what is happening, and they scream, bite, and fight like hell to get away from you. This runs the gambit from kinda funny to mildly annoying to actually making it hard for you to work to making you feel bad for putting these animals through this stress. There will be no special magical wild animal friendships, trust me.
Animals are DIRTY. Like I know you know that on some level, but you don't really know it until you are up close and personal with them. In the case of the birds I work with, this usually means shit. Lots and lots of shit. On them, or you, on every surface and article of clothing you have. And you may think "in the grand scheme of poops, bird poops aren't so bad." But let me tell you: in sheer quantity and viscosity, bird shit beats them all.
PARASITES. Now we are not anti-parasite on this blog in general, they have their place in the ecosystem just like everything else. But personally, I don't really enjoy having to see them or experience them up close and personal. I'm talking ticks, fleas, mites, intestinal worms, louse flies, etc. Just . . . no thanks.
Animals get injured, and having to see these injuries up close and knowing there isn't anything I can do about it is hard. Be they old wounds, new, or the very rare wound that can occur during the catching and handling process, it can really get you down looking at an animal that you can't help.
Animals are unpredictable. Like, most of this field is about *trying* to predict their behavior, but animals are true disciples of Murphy's Law, and I swear they get off on frustrating scientists and their well laid plans and hypotheses. For me, this meant that the birds I was working with just didn't show up in the predicted numbers. This was frustrating to me on a how-the-fuck-is-my-project-gonna-work-out-now? level, but also on a worried-for-the-health-of-the-birds-and-the-planet level. If you enjoy work that is predictable and dependable, wildlife biology isn't for you.
I wat to be clear that I LOVE what I do, and I wouldn't trade it for the world. The work I and other wildlife biologists do is incredibly important and I am not saying this to cast a disparaging light on the field. But so many wildlife biologists I have interacted with are not like, bleeding heart, sensitive babies like me, and didn't adequately prepare for the mental and emotional toll of working with wildlife. I think the field selects for folks who are able to compartmentalize their love and empathy for animals, and I don't like that. I think we need people like me in the field, but I think they should be prepared for the reality of it, that's all. Or maybe I just need to vent lol.
Figures surveillance grids would be a recurring Thing for major digimon villains, though Etemon's network seemed more dependent on physical sensor-tripping than IP pings. Mugendramon pulling the same 'wait, how'd he pinpoint 'em so fast??' popup was kinda funny, though maybe that mishmash city also has cameras Koushiro missed. Don't even ask me how TF Piemon's telescope worked this time.
What's interesting about Mugendramon's is that it's not even really a surveillance network.
Like. Etemon's Dark Network was an array of sensors that could deliver him incorrect information about where everyone is whenever he wanted it.
Mugendramon didn't even really seem to have anything set up to locate the Children. Instead, it was Koushiro volunteering their positions every time he logged into the network. This was a product of just. Like. How the internet functions.
Apart from the dub line about "You took the bait!" there's no indication that Mugendramon even planned for this to happen. Like, it seems to me like they were going about their day in the command center, planning Mugendramon's operation against the children, when they suddenly got an unauthorized access in their network.
And then Mugendramon was just like, "That can ONLY be the Chosen Children. I want a million bullets converging on that location immediately!"
Hagurumon: The children just logged in and googled pharmacies. Mugendramon: SEND FORCES TO ALL PHARMACIES. Hagurumon: The children logged in again. They're at the hospital. Mugendramon: WAR CRIMES Hagurumon: The children logged in at an office building! Mugendramon: PILE OF RUBBLE Hagurumon: They're all over the place! Mugendramon: OPERATION GENEVA TEARS
He just. Spent the whole episode reacting, capitalizing on Koushiro's mistake. I don't think he even knew they were here until Koushiro accidentally gave them away, and from there it was Game On.
Piemon's telescope, meanwhile, is...
Well, it's flagrantly impossible. Spiral Mountain looks like this.
Tumblr media
The region the children are in is one of those two remaining stripes winding its way to the huge platform at the top. Which is where Piemon's observatory GIANT THIMBLE resides.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Piemon's observatory is the glass dome at the top of the thimble.
Tumblr media
There is no possible direction he can point his telescope in to see things that are happening in the stripes of Spiral Mountain.
It's just magic or surveillance cameras or some shit being fed through his monitor. There's no other way.
Tumblr media
He's just watching the television and pretending to be classy.
Day 2: Trust Issues
“What you scared?” Ex asked as he walked towards the entrance to the tunnels.
“Xaviar, you know how dangerous those are. We can’t go there!” Xisuma cried out at Ex desperately trying to pull them away as well as get out of Ex’s grasp.
“Oh come on, there is nothing wrong with a little peak inside. After all it’s for your ‘research’.” Ex said reaching towards the handle of the door that was keeping both their home and the pure void separated.
There was a pause in Xisuma’s struggle. “Fine.”
“You always- What?” Xaviar looked back at his little brother who had his head looking towards the ground.
“You always do this…there is never any winning against you.” Xisuma’s eyes shot up towards Xaviar. “Leave me alone!”
A wave of magic washed over Xaviar as he went slamming into the door behind him with a loud thud. Xisuma sprinting away back towards where Xaviar could only guess to be home.
He- he di-
Menacing laughter filled his ears as he felt the palm of someone’s hand slam against his back.
He blinked as a hand appeared in front of him.
“Good job, Ex, really showed your brother who’s truly in charge!” -His friend- The voidwalker in front of him said.
“I-“ Xaviar started as he let the other pull him up.
“Now the little nerd will finally get the hint that nobody cares.” A hand slapped against his back a friendly gesture but one that only seemed to send spikes into his back. “Now let’s get out of here before we get caught.”
Xaviar stayed froze as the other teen started to walk away.
Xisuma’s magic was never that strong. Xaviar had snuck glances at his brother practicing.
He knew.
In fact thinking about it no voidwalker’s powers should be that strong.
Not unless…
Alarms sounded out throughout the entire city.
‘Breach has been detected. Hostile threats are present. Find safety as soon as possible.’
Xisuma…his brother was in so much danger.
Xaviar sprinted off towards where he knew Xisuma would be.
Where Xisuma wouldn’t be able to hear the alarms.
Where they would find him.
Where they would kill him.
If he didn’t find him first there was no saying what would happen.
————————————————————————
Xaviar sprinted up the stairs on the hill that lead to their house. It was an old observatory left to them by their parents when they passed.
The highest point in the whole city. The pure void mere inches out of reach but its beauty and terror present nonetheless.
Xisuma had always been fascinated by what lay beyond the confines of their hidden community. Xaviar feared what was out there.
Xaviar had made it so that Xisuma would never be able to find out what happened that day. The last time the alarms sounded.
Throwing open the doors Xaviar ran inside ignoring the smoke filling the air within the span of buildings below, the faint buzzing of the alarms sounding being muffled by the buzzing of the void that could be heard through the glass.
“Xisuma!”
The was no sign of him. But nothing was out of place so for now they were safe.
“Xisuma!”
Sprinting down the spiral staircase into the mountain was not the smartest of ideas making too much noise. But if he didn’t hurry there would be no time.
“Xisuma!”
“What?” A voice growled out. Annoyed beyond a point that Xaviar had ever think he had heard coming from his brother before.
“There-“
“I thought I told you to leave me alone.” Xisuma cut him off. “I don’t want to see you.”
A pang shot through his heart. “Xisuma, please we have to go.”
“Oh not this again!” Xisuma shoved the book he had been holding into his backpack?. With a spin his brother jabbed his finger into his chest. “Oh, Xisuma you have to see this. Xisuma you have to go here. It’s fun. It’ll be fine. It is never true. You see me as a joke. I’m not falling for your so called ‘pranks’ anymore.”
“Xisuma-“ Xaviar started.
“No, I don’t want to hear any more of your lies. I-“
The sound of a door slamming open followed by thudding footsteps filled the room.
“What?” Xisuma choked out.
“We need to leave now.” Xaviar said grabbing Xisuma’s arm running over to a bookshelf pulling down on a candlestick to reveal a hidden doorway.
“Xav-“
“Go. Run as fast as you can and don’t look back. When you get to a portal jump and just think about safety. Someone on the other side will be able to help you.”
“Xav-“ Xisuma started clutching the bag he was still holding.
“Go! I’ll follow after you.” It was a lie but Xisuma didn’t need to know that.
It was the same lie their parents had told him. How truly cruel the fates were.
Xisuma gave a hesitant nod before sprinting down the hallway to safety.
Xaviar watched as his brother disappeared wanting to engrave the image of his brother into his mind knowing this was quite possibly the last he will ever see him.
He wish it wasn’t one that was going to be filled with pain.
He closed the door before walking over to the desk that sat looking out of a one way window. Breaking the side off he pulled out a pistol. One still stained with the blood of its previous user.
“Well well well, look boys. We got a youngster. He’d be of some use won’t he?”
Ex held up the gun to point directly at the Fiend-Scathe that stood in front of him.
“Now I wouldn’t do that. We don’t want anyone getting any unnecessary injuries now do we?” The being took a step forward as Ex tightened his grip on the weapon.
“Ge-“ before Ex could say anything something slammed into his head. Pain rocketed through his brain as black filled his vision and he tumbled to the ground.
