my polin headcanon is that they become the new V/E Bridgerton and keep popping out babies. I want a scene of Penelope being nervous about announcing another pregnancy so soon after the birth of the baby Lord Featherington and wondering what the mamas and ton will say, especially as their first child was an 7.5/8-month baby …

Well all I’ll say is I’m writing a fic (very short) in which Lord Featherington is still a toddler and Pen is already pregnant with a another child

I think everyone knows they’re going to have many, many children, who will all cause chaos over London’s society and will be the pride and joy of their amazing parents

Could you imagine it though? Pen and Colin talking their own children through their seasons? Watching their kids fall in love? And being obnoxious parents? And when their kids ask them for advice and ask them how they got together, Colin will reply saying « well you need to find the courage to ask, in fact I asked your mother in the back of a carriage —» to which Penelope will immediately shush him down with a sharp and indignant « Colin Bridgerton! ». He will just grin at her so her expression will soften into a knowing and deeply loving smile and their kids will look at them, giving up because they’ve gone into their own little world again
