The work I want to do doesn’t technically exist which sucks because it’s such sexy work
#hello i want to do climate science in a sustainable horticulture way#with lots of community outreach to educate people about the habitats they live in#and make people give as much of a shit about their local flora and fauna as they do about#elephants and rainforests#because it is so much easier to care about something you don't see every day#and isn't like ... picking holes in your crops#i would like to build strong sustainable communities who manage local resources to meet their needs as much as possible#take doomsday prepping but make it communal and inspired by hope instead of fear#i wanna draw on anthropology & archeology AND the cutting edge of technological development!#history has geography and geography has history#so uhh i guess i want to undo the work of every imperialist power from at least ancient rome onwards#but the jobs available in this area are like ... deliver some powerpoints about the endangered corncrake#Which I WILL do and I WILL do excellently#but#ugh#me fein#sustainability
