drives me utterly insane how the best fics are always the ones i find when not using my usual filters
#yeah im normal what#i usually filter out E/M fics (& unrated if there are a lot of fics)#and unfinished. this is important.#the two fics in my bookmarks that are the most wellwritten. the ones i like the most. E-rated & unfinished#and still i refuse to change my filters. still i rarely look for fics without the filters on#especially when theyre ships youve never considered#like 'i wonder what the fandom is up to outside of my ships' and you find the greatest piece of writing in the fandom.#oughhhhhhhhh#sometimes i see a fic on ao3 and im like 'huh sounds kinda interesting' but skip over it#AND I SPEND. AN ENTIRE WEEK. THINKING ABOUT IT.#until i go 'fuck it' and go read it anyway#ANYWAY.
