ten lines, ten people
rules: share the first lines of ten of your most recent fanfics and tag ten people. if you have written less than ten, don’t be shy and share anyway.
thank you @ad-astra-per-aspera7 @messrsage and @serethereal for tagging me <3
okay so i don't have 10 wips, and almost all of them are in the outlining phase anyway because i'm only writing one of them atm (the brainrot is strong) so i'm going to steal kat's idea and just share a few little snippets at the end of this from my current wip <3
1.it started out with a kiss, how did it end up like this (one-shot)
"He's allowed to kiss whoever he wants, really," Lily mumbled for the upteenth time that evening, a terrible line of wrinkles between her eyebrows and lips pressed tightly.
2.all the violence that i swore you could have back (one-shot)
The first thing that Lily notices when she reaches the entrance of the flat is that the door is open.
3.making ghosts (wip, unposted)
You see, there’s something you need to understand about this, about the world and the whole ordeal of being alive, if you intend to make any sense out of it. And that is that ghosts are real.
and since there's no point in sharing notes from messy outlines, here are some random making ghosts snippets:
4. “Really, Prongs?” Sirius asks with an arched eyebrow, not at all bothered by the exasperation in James’ gaze. “You know, this actually works in your favour. Since it means you’re not getting your heart eaten tonight.”
5. Starting an argument is what Barty wants whenever he’s bored, or becomes antsy, or is simply in a bad mood, because he still doesn’t quite know how to behave around other people without being confrontational. He grew up raised by a man who couldn’t bear the sight of his own son, unable to talk to him without picking a fight, and a woman who was too soft, too distant, to step up for him when the situation required it.
6. James is letting out a startled chuckle before he can help it, the sound surprising even himself. He’s so unbelievably mean. James finds it delightful.
7. Remus has a very distinct way of saying Sirius’ name, just like Sirius pronounces his with a sort of reverence, almost as if his tongue is tasting a prayer, something sacred that begs to be worshipped.
8. “Please, tell me you have not actually hired an exorcist,” Regulus mutters, mildly horrified at the prospect.
9. He had to become obsessed with the worst possible option, and now they’re here, Reg about to commit an actual murder with James as a witness, and that only if he doesn’t end up getting killed, too, which James doesn’t think he would mind that much, because this situation can’t get any worse, and Reg still looks impossibly lovely, and dying at his hands does not sound as bad as it probably should.
10. And now Sirius is back. Not a ghost, and not a memory. Sirius, the real one. His big brother.
tagging ten people is absolutely crazy, and i'm pretty sure all the people i follow have already done it, so!! not tagging anyone this time!! but please feel free to do it if you see this <3 (and tag me because i'd love to see)
#this was so fun#and i've been having the time of my life reading everyone's lines from their fics#sorry i don't have 10 wips to offer tho#i usually can't work on more than one wip and that's why i haven't started writing any of the other ones#i hope the snippets managed to make up for it!!!#tag game#writing

SteveTony Weekly - May 19 - Week 20
Hi friends! My daughter's graduation activities start today (!!!!) and in anticipation of an extremely busy week, I asked @meidui to pinch hit with a guest rec list. Check out her fantastic recs, say hi, and before sure to comment/kudos the fic you enjoy!
Therapy Works (if your therapist isn't a Hydra agent) by @16woodsequ
Tony accidentally stumbles onto the fact that Steve isn't holding things together quite as well as he makes it look. As awkward as it is at first, Tony's been there, and he finds himself reaching out to him.
But the more he tries to push past Steve's walls the more he realises just how deep his issues go. And they all seem to be pointing in one direction.
Should he really be surprised to find SHIELD is at the root of it?
My Thoughts: in sequ we trust when it comes to steve whump!! poor steve is all messed up from shield's abuse and has a list of psychological/emotional issues longer than his pre-serum ailments, and the way it shows is SO SO SO detailed and devastating and believable, and tony being tony is trying to mend what's broken. this is being updated every thursday until it's done and there's so much meat in every chapter that even if you don't usually read wips, this is 100% worth following along 🥺
Just for the Conversation by @msermesth
Tony's fine. He's back on the Avengers, Steve seems to have forgiven him, and he’s building Resilient to change the world.
Then why is he so jealous of Steve’s new boyfriend?
(Or: that awkward moment when you realize you are in love with your old best friend while having a three-way with him and his boyfriend, who just happens to be your counterpart from another universe.)
My Thoughts: if you love multiverse fics like i do this is for you, it's the perfect cocktail of multiverse shenanigans 😌 and don't worry if you haven't read any of the comics before, the author's note is very helpful and you don't need much background to enjoy jealous tony and a steve sandwich <3
Fortune Favours the Bold by @bladeofthenebula27
Omega Steve Rogers is betrothed to an old rich alpha nearly three times his age, and decides on an act of passionate rebellion before his wedding.
My Thoughts: neb writes the best omegaverse fics ever so you automatically cannot go wrong, but the mistaken identity in this fic is so pleasing and steve's internal dialogue is >>>
When It Comes to Trying by @softanticipation
Steve is weird about food. Tony takes notice.
(Or, because I was once told that whenever characters share food together, it means something.)
My Thoughts: i love rereading this fic and it hits the spot every time <3 it starts in the shawarma restaurant post-battle of new york and doesn't shy away from how tony gradually goes from ""disdain"" to adoration and steve adjusts slowly and fits in better with the team, and there's flirting and steve is so sweet and tony gets so gentle with him!! and the focus on food is executed so well i want to eat the whole fic
late night talking by @omg-just-peachy
Steve realizes he can't sleep without the light of the arc reactor.
My Thoughts: if you look up "comfort fic" in the dictionary all 700 words of this fic is there!! the established relationship is established relationshipping and clingy steve waiting on tony is so sweet 🥺

WIP Wednesday Game
Taken from @kedreeva.
It’s WIP Wednesday, time for a little accountability, sharing your work, and getting a kick in the pants.
Here’s how it works:
In a reblog of this post (so people can find you in the notes) or new thread (w/ rules attached) if you want to play on your own, post up to five (5) filenames of your WIPs; not titles, file names.
Post a snippet from one of them. Snippet must be words you wrote in the last 7 days. We’re posting progress here. If you haven’t made any, go make some and come back to play!
After you’ve posted, people can send you an ask with one of your file names. You must then write 3 sentences in that file. If the filename is one you can't share from (for example, an event or gift fic), write 3 sentences on it anyway, and then 3 more on another to share.
That’s it! You can invite others to join in, or just post. I’ll be searching the reblogs to find people to send asks to!
If you’re reading this, you’re invited!
If you see someone posting a WIP Wednesday Game snippet, send them an ask! Make them write.
file names:
omega!Clark and hungry!Kon
gentle princely caretaking
the wet nurse omegaverse
trans Clark and cis Kon
weird Kryptonian bonding rituals
snippet from "omega!Clark and hungry!Kon":
Jon peeks out of his room down the hall, looking intrigued, and lights up at the sight of the chocolate chips and the big bowl Clark always uses for pancake batter. Clark smiles at him, and he scurries down the hall and into the kitchen. Clark asks him to set the table, and he does. He also steals a significant percentage of the chocolate chips, but Clark accepts that loss as pup-induced taxation.
Lois's alarm goes off after Jon’s gotten out all the necessary dishes and Clark’s gotten the pans heating up, and she trudges sleepily out of their bedroom. Clark passes her a mug of the coffee he started as soon as he got up himself, and she makes a mumbly noise that he knows her well enough to translate as "I love you beyond all existence and where's the sugar".
He passes her the sugar and leans down to kiss her cheek. She turns her face into his throat and bites his scent gland a little harder than happens to be decent in front of either of their pups, but given the invulnerability just feels like a chaste little nibble. Clark gives her a soft purr of appreciation and Jon sticks out his tongue at them as he finishes setting the table.
"Grosssss," he says, making a face. "Don't be all mushy, we haven't even eaten yet!”
“I’m afraid we can’t promise that, kiddo,” Lois says, then yawns against Clark’s throat before taking her coffee to the table. Clark gets the bacon in the frying pan and starts carefully pouring pancake batter, and Jon drops into his usual seat at the table. Lois makes sleepy noises into her coffee.
“How many pancakes, Jonno?” Clark asks.
“Ten,” Jon says immediately, holding up both hands with a charming little grin. Lois snorts.
“Maybe if they’re very, very small,” she says wryly. “Baby pancakes. Infants. Tiny little dollops.”
“No way, I want big ones!” Jon says. Admittedly they do have a higher than human metabolism–Clark does not think of Kon’s too-thin wrists–but ten full-size pancakes is probably still pushing it.
“Maybe we’ll start a little smaller and work our way up,” Clark says, amused anyway. Jon pouts. Kon comes out of his own room already dressed and ready and sits down quietly at the table too, and Jon immediately brightens back up.
"Hi, Kon!" he greets excitedly. Kon always seems to wait to come out last, and Clark's never figured out why. He’s not even sure the kid even wears his pajamas, or if he just sleeps in his clothes. He never sees him in anything but the clothes he wears to school and his Superboy suit and jacket. “Mom’s making pancakes!”
“Sure,” Kon says. He obviously knew that, of course, given his enhanced senses and also the very obvious process that is Clark pouring pancake batter into a pan, but Jon’s clearly too excited to have thought that one through. Clark doesn’t comment either way, just smiles at Kon.
“Morning, Kon,” he says. “How many pancakes would you like?”
“Whatever’s fine,” Kon says, visibly repressing the urge to fidget in his seat. Clark hates that answer almost as much as the sight of his too-sharp face and those too-thin wrists and how close to stray he smells.
“Three to start?” he suggests.
“Sure,” Kon says. Clark can’t call it a victory, but at least it’s an answer.

@davycoquette with the fun question games again!
Get to Know the Writblr
Gonna put this under a cut because it got long, but feel free to treat this as an open tag if you want to hop on!
On the Tumblr Writing Community:
How long have you had your writing Tumblr/Writeblr?
Since the beginning of the year, maybe? Sometime in February, I think.
What led you to create it?
I was feeling pretty lonely having no one to talk to about my writing. None of my real-life friends are writers and I'm really terrible at expressing my interests verbally, so I figured online might be the place to go. So far, I've been right!
What’s your favorite thing about the Writeblr community?
Oh, the people, for sure. It's incredibly rare that I come across anyone being less than supportive on here. No matter our skill level, I really feel like every writer on here has a sense of being in this shit together.
What’s one thing you’d like your mutuals to know about you?
Hmmm.... I'm pretty open about sharing things about myself, so idk if there's anything major I haven't touched on yet. I wake up at 4am every morning for work, so if you see me posting at an egregious time, that's why. Also, if you ever want martial arts tips for your fight scenes, I'm your gal!
Is there anything you’d like to see more of on your dash?
I love it when people make memes of their ocs. Makes me giggle every time.
What tips/advice do you have for someone who made a Writeblr today?
You gotta interact with people. I know it can be scary, but even a reblog with no tags can make another writer smile. Chances also are, if you leave a nice comment on someone's work, they might check you out and leave a nice comment on yours! A community isn't a community unless you go out and commune :)
WIP it Good:
Which Works-in-Progress (WIPs) or writing projects are you noodling about, lately?
Lately, I've been juggling writing my first draft of Mortal God book 3 (tentatively title being The Machinations of Machine and Man) and going over @kaylinalexanderbooks lovely comments on MG1. My ghost ship project is also on a low simmer in the back of my brain, but I'm trying to leave that until I'm done with MG3.
How long have you been working on them?
Good lord, I started MG1 about... almost two years ago now? Damn, it feels like it's been so much longer. But hey, three book drafts in two years ain't bad! Honor's Outcasts, which is largely written by now, I started about three years ago.
Do you remember what inspired them/what got you started?
The two main characters of MG started as a vague daydream, which then became two important dnd npcs along with MG's main villain. I ended up liking them all so much that I wrote a short story which became *drumroll* three entire books! A lot of my inspiration came from Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood and the Foundryside Trilogy of books. I can't think of anyone specifically who inspired the characters, except that Astra was originally based on the archetype of the silent wandering cowboy/samurai as seen in a lot of Kurosawa films and old westerns. For anyone familiar with her, uh, things changed quite a lot.
How much time, in your best estimation, do you spend thinking about them?
At least ten percent of my brain's storage is dedicated to my wips at all times. As for how often I'm actively thinking about them... it's also quite a lot.
When someone asks the dreaded, “What do you write about,” question, what do you usually say?
"Uh, fantasy stuff?" is my go-to.
What do you want to say (if it’s different from what you do say)?
I really wish I had the ability to explain my wips as succinctly with speech as I do with writing, but alas. I would want to give a nice, book jacket blurb that doesn't give away too much of the crazy shit.
Let’s Rotate Blorbos:
Name any characters you created.
I think I'm really good at names, so we're gonna go down the list!
Izjik Meautammera
Sepo Kaiacynthus
Twenari Undetasib/Devaris
Djek Kagura
Astra DuClaire
Mashal Darezsho
Ivander Montane
Elsind Cavernsight
Duchon Avymere Kalaphon Spearsong III
Faalgun Falani
Nyda Burningrock
Kaulakri Ondohuroata
Pashananath
Anarac Fifth-Blood
Who’s the most unhinged?
Unhinged in terms of violence? Sepo for sure. Unhindered in terms of sheer chaos? I'm gonna go with Izjik and Djek as a duo. Between both of their high charismas and low intelligences, along with their combined expertise in fighting and creative uses of magic, they're unbeatable.
Who comes the most naturally for you to write?
Probably Izjik. I've been writing in her POV for the longest.
Do you ever cringe at them?
Sometimes yeah, when they do something real stupid. But, then again, I did make them that way.
How much control do you feel you have over your characters?
I think I know my characters really well and base my plot around their motives, so there really isn't a huge need for control.
Do you enjoy people asking questions about your characters?
PLEASE!!! FEED ME ASKS! I'LL TAKE ANYTHING!
On Writeblr Engagement:
What makes you want to follow another Writeblr account?
Probably creativity. I've read a looooot of fantasy/sci-fi, so if you're doing something I've never seen before, I'll probably give you a follow.
What makes you decide against following?
Any kind of hateful rhetoric or someone who doesn't want 18+ interaction. Other than that, I think it's important to follow people who write different genres or have different methods than me.
Do you interact with non-mutuals often?
I wouldn't say so. I get a little shy doing that.
Do your mutuals’ characters occupy space in your noodle?
The characters of @kaylinalexanderbooks @mk-writes-stuff and @somethingclevermahogony all have a little place in my brain. Favorites from each include Robbie and Akash (not to be separated), Narul and Bop (love me a good living weapon/teddybear of a dude team-up), and Nellie and Stellaris (their earnest kindness makes my heart happy). If you haven't yet, you should go check out their stuff and see for yourself!
And with that, thanks for reading! Go out and have yourself a bitchin day <3

Fic Writer Interview 🌸
ty for the tag @13834 ❤️❤️
How many works do you have on ao3?
16 with anonymous works included
What’s your total word count?
295k
What are your top 5 fics by kudos?
vanilla carnations, kiss it better, pick a lane, driving under influence, once i pull this trigger off
Do you respond to comments? Why/ why not?
i usually try to buy sometimes i get behind or wait for a day to answer all together after posting a chap then forget 💔 but i usually try to make time because comments always mean so much to me
What's the fic you've written with the angstiest ending?
i don't do angst endings normally but maybe mind break of a character starting to want someone that actually has harmed them before? yeah
What's the fic you've written with the happiest ending?
i think it's vanilla carnations there was literally a proposal 😭😭
Do you write crossovers?
no
Have you ever received hate on a fic?
I cant remember each one but this one tops all and we talked about it for a couple days w friends
then decided it was better this way 😁
(it was ltrlly just angry sex and Max coming inside Charles before they have to go to the team debrief bcz Charles crashes into Max, kind of deliberately)
Do you write smut? If so, what kind?
i can do all unfortunately 😔 omegaverse, rule 63, [redacted] etc... I was birthing fic after fic for kinkmeme once (now i can't even properly write smut 💔)
Have you ever had a fic stolen?
no as far as i know
Have you ever had a fic translated?
ppl asked for permission before but I'm not sure if they eventually finished it!!
Have you ever co-written a fic before?
yes... w my baby @a-amvryllis but we both didnt have time so it kinda dropped out. and tbh I think there are a few people my writing matches exactly as someone who writes so descriptive and meanless poetic words, but we could always meet in the middle!!
What's your all-time favourite ship?
im going to be rlly honest when i say lestappen is my first ship and probably last other than Justin Bieber and me in 2015 💔
What's a WIP that you want to finish but don't think you ever will?
idt ill finish that girl Charles fic for the fest... I dont think people liked it also but i decided to use that ending plot in another fic since it would be more fitting lol
What are your writing strengths?
i can write fast when I'm in mood. once i wrote 8k in a day. the words will just flow and ill be so thankful
What are your writing weaknesses?
tbh im not sure? i like my writing and we all have writers block from time to time, but sometimes i wish i had a better vocabulary but also vocab means nothing if you're going to make ppl open dictionaries every 10 word 😭 also paragraph starts. i hate starting them w "charles max max charles a but charles" if you get what i mean so i especially pay attention on it every new paragraph to make the reading easier 😭
What are your thoughts on writing dialogue in other languages in a fic?
i always add a () for the english version if I'm going to keep the foreign dialogue just a bit, because come on no one needs to switch between tabs on translate/fic, but if its long, then adding a subtle detail about how they keep the convo in that language and writing in italicized is cool. i also will write dutch and french pet names so randomly. i dont care if it sounds bad for native people im not a native for both 💔
What was the first fandom you wrote for?
f1
What's a fandom/ship you haven't written for yet but want to?
galex. i actually started it but its still a wip with also lestappen and landoscar going on!! so theres no main ship but like.. a sitcom kind of friend group consisting of couples. yup
What's your favourite fic you've written?
because its my first, and i like the scenario so much, brainstorming w many irls, i think its a very good plot- oiptto. alas i had some people telling me the writing is rlly bad which is, cool, it was my first time writing a fic let alone in english. if you ask about writing, even if i wrote vanilla carnations so fast, i think its rlly nice written also @a-amvryllis helped me sooo much about each event and plots (and i do believe it was creative all of them in general) so i would say that.
tagging every author who wants to do that but randomly @a-amvryllis @blueberry-obsessed @bumblewyn @eterniravioli @f1-giuki @fueledbyremembering @lovelylotusf1 @lestappenforever @laura1633 @paint-it-red-and-black @saviour-of-lord in alphabetic order so i won't forget anyone 😭🩷

oooo writer's meme!! tagged by @celardor12 - thank you for thinking of me! <3
How many wips do you have currently? this is a deceptively difficult question, bc i'm not sure what should actually count here. i have fics that i haven't worked on in over a year but that i do intend on finishing, as well as some heavily outlined but not actually started work on some new fics...
for the stuff that i am actively working on day by day, though, i've got 2 main WIPs! there's the multichapter fic i'm writing for my FTH donor, and then the small piece i'm putting together for the binggeyuan zine. unfortunately due to the nature of both these projects, i can't really say much about them... but i think they're both very tasty svsss treats 😌
Which one are you finding the hardest to finish? the multichapter fic for sure ;A; i'm probably 75% the way done, which means i'm right at the point in writing a multichapter where i'm no longer interested in writing it and just want it to be done. i've hit this point for every multichapter i've ever written, unfortunately, and it's why most of my fics are oneshots - i just have trouble staying focused on a single idea for that long;;;
What does it usually look like when inspiration strikes for you? i very rarely write because inspiration strikes - usually, i'm sitting down to write because i told myself i would and i know i'll feel better after having engaged in a creative/productive hobby. if inspiration 'strikes' during that time, it just looks like me writing more than i'd originally planned in that moment. outside of actively writing, inspiration striking seems to always look like me frantically trying to convince myself that i only want to talk about a potential au and i don't plan on writing it, and the discord chat that's listening to me and nodding along and waiting for when i inevitably capitulate and announce that i'm putting the au on my 'to write' list, lmao.
Do you curate playlists for each fic or is your process different? i don't think i've consciously sought out music to listen to while writing (or reading) for the entire time i've been in this fandom, tbh 😅 sometimes i'll put on some rain sounds or study music if the ambient noise where i'm working is a bit loud, i guess?
Do you go balls to the wall and write as you go or are you more organized? i've talked about this a bit before, but i very much need an outline. i don't mind changing the plan and diverging from my outline if a scene is more naturally heading in a different direction, but then i need to take a break and re-do the outline to match the new direction before i write anymore.
i'm too shy to actually tag people 🙈🙈 so if you want to do this, please take this as an invitation to do so! gently and invisibly tagging every writer in this fandom ...
#i gotta get better at being brave and just pulling the trigger (read: actually tagging people)#one day...#nyoomerr rambles

Thank you for the tag @rhodophoria!! :D This was fun!
1. How many works do you have on AO3?
Just one (but there will be more soon ;))
2. What’s your total AO3 word count?
127,025! I think Ashen Wishes is the longest story I've ever written (and it's still going, holy-)
3. What fandoms do you write for?
Mostly Undertale. In fact, I haven't written for anything else in years ^^' I need to have a lot of passion for a fandom to get myself to write. Unless the characters live 24/7 in my mind rent-free, no ideas will pop up.
4. What are your top 5 fics by kudos?
Yes.
5. Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?
Yeah, I love to! I really appreciate when someone takes their time to leave a nice message :] I always try to reply as soon as possible, or at least within a day.
6. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?
I currently have a few one-shot ideas that have rather angsty endings, but I couldn't bear writing a whole longfic that ends on a sad note. ...I think.
7. What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?
Ashen Wishes will have a pretty happy, positive ending, so I suppose that counts (?)
8. Do you get hate on fics?
Thankfully, I never have :)
9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind?
Well... not really. I've given it a shot a few times and I have a couple ideas, but I don't think I can bring myself to post anything too explicit at the moment.
10. Do you write crossovers? What’s the craziest one you’ve written?
I've never written one! I've always found them too difficult to execute well.
11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?
I don't think so...? Though I never looked for it.
12. Have you ever had a fic translated?
Nope, but I wonder what that would look like! Although when it comes to writing fics, I'm much more comfortable writing in English than my native language.
13. Have you ever co-written a fic before?
Not yet, but it sounds fun. I have friends who help with brainstorming sometimes, if that counts :)
14. What’s your all time favourite ship?
I've never been into shipping characters that much. Sometimes I come across a ship and I genuinely like it, but then I move on. My reader-insert craze just never left me enough, I guess.
15. What’s a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?
I strive to finish everything I start, even though it might, uh, take a little more time. I really hope I won't ever abandon my fics.
16. What are your writing strengths?
Dialogues? Maybe? Those are usually the first things that pop up in my head when I'm trying to figure out a scene, and I build everything else around them. But I'm also really obsessed with pacing and trying to find a healthy balance between the events in a story. I'm not saying it's necessarily working, I just tend to pay more attention to it.
17. What are your writing weaknesses?
I'm very, very slow. I can linger on a single sentence for ten minutes because I can't get over how awkward a sentence feels, so I just stare at the screen trying to figure out how to fix it. Also, describing environments. I can't make them sound fun for the life of me. I feel like they always end up being very dry and unimaginative :/
18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic?
I don't run into them often, but I think they can spice up a dialogue sometimes. I especially like special short phrases that give the conversation a deeper meaning.
19. First fandom you wrote for?
Oof, uh, Hollow Knight, if I remember correctly. I don't plan to post any of my older works though ^^'
20. Favourite fic you’ve written?
Ashen Wishes is probably the fic I've put the most effort in so far, and it's currently my favorite, too!
@imtrashraccoon if you'd like to join, but as always, no pressure! :D

You Wanna Talk Fic?
Thanks for tagging me @mostlyinthemorning and @a-noble-dragon 🥰🖤
1. How many WIPs do you have currently?
I have two that I 'actively' work on - pastry chef!pat and one called 'ow'. By which I mean I open the file, read what I have and maybe make an adjustment or two. Then I have literally. so. many. files of snippets and ideas and bits of dialogue that may never see the light of day. I haven't actually written anything other than my monthly drabbles for months. My last big idea is an age gap D&P fic that I really want to try and work on and an rpf.
2. Which one are you finding the hardest to finish? Why do you think that is?
I really want to finish my pastry chef!pat fic but I think I have to scrap most of what I have and start again. And that idea is so daunting and depressing, which is why I haven't finished it yet.
3. What does it usually look like when inspiration strikes for you?
I don't think it's so much that an inspiration strikes me as it is just a little passing thought or an idea that I want to read myself and I'll jot down whatever the idea is into one of the many 'untitled' files on my computer. A lot of the time the fics I do attempt to write are the ideas that I think I can pull off and the more ambitious ones are left as daydreams hoping that someone else will write them. Actually...daydreaming about how the fic will play out is what happens when inspiration strikes me. Like a little movie that I can't articulate into words.
4. Do you curate playlists for each fic or is your process different?
I've never curated a playlist for a fic, my fics aren't long or involved enough to need one, and I can't listen to music while I write so I guess the two never combine.
5. Do you go balls to the wall and write as you go or are you more organised?
I am definitely balls to the wall. I may have a very faint idea of what's going to happen but it's usually me just writing whatever pops into my head and hoping for the best.
I'll no pressure tag @ramonaflow @stargazer56 @jamilas-pen @fictasticvoyage @chelle-68 🤍📝

gonna post a WIP Wednesday (not on Wednesday but I get a pass because I said so) because I haven't in a while and I'm actually excited to be working on this specific wip BUT:
@dizzy-n-busy has this amazing Milo art that they gave me permission to write an au off of. So here is a snippet of that cause I can't remember the last time I was this excited to write something.
Milo sidled up to the bar, perching on one of the stools as the bartender approached. “Gin, neat, would’ya Vincent?” “Of course,” Vincent said, giving him a small smile. It wasn’t like Milo’s order had changed much since he started coming here. “I’ll get that right up.” Milo glanced back at his table, watching as Asher continued to animately fight with David about something stupid. He couldn’t even remember what the original argument was about at this point. He scoffed, rolling his eyes. They always got like this. “Gin on the rocks,” a voice said near him, and Milo looked over to see damn near the prettiest person he’s seen in a while. “Anything for you, hun,” the second bartender said, whom they all call Volts because of their power before getting turned, while giving them a teasing smile. “You’re pretty late. I was starting to think I wouldn’t see you tonight.” “Case got me in the office late,” The person said. “Here you go, Milo,” Vincent said, sliding a glass in front of him. “Hey, hey, before you go,” Milo started, motioning to the stranger a few stools down from him, “who’s that? I haven’t seen them before.” “Who, Sneaks?” Vincent asks. “They usually come in before you lot do. Listen, I wouldn’t-” There was a shout from the other side of the bar, the person waving Vincent over once they had his attention. Vincent turned back to him, hiding the slight frown that etched into his face from the patron. “I’ll be back.” He slipped off, and Milo made his move. Volts was just sliding the glass to this ‘Sneaks’ when Milo came up. “Person of taste, I see,” he commented, grinning at them. Sneaks regarded him for a moment, only to glance back at Volts. Volts only shrugged before slinking off with a coy smile. “What’s it to you, exactly?” “It doesn’t have to be anything you don’t want it to,” Milo said, sitting down, a stool in between them. Milo may have ulterior motives for this chat, but he wasn’t about to scare the pretty thing away. “Just friendly conversation.” “Why do I have a feeling it’s never just friendly conversation with you?” The stranger commented, raising an eyebrow before they took a sip from their drink. “Do you want it to be more than friendly?” Milo asked, lip turning up into a smirk. Sneaks didn’t answer, rolling their eyes. “Name’s Milo,” he introduced himself, holding out his hand. The stranger regarded it for a moment before reaching out to meet him. “People call me Sneak’s,” They replied. “You sure do like the mysterious aesthetic, huh, Sweetheart,” Milo teased. “You got a problem with that?” Sneaks asked. “Not at all,” Milo said genuinely, bringing their hand up to kiss it. “Makes me more curious to get to know you, even.” “Yeah. Sure,” Sneak said, pulling their hand away. “I’m serious,” Milo insisted. “I’m sure you are,” Sneaks said. “You don’t believe me,” Milo said, taking a sip of his drink. “It’s not that I don’t believe you,” Sneaks said, eyes trained on the glass in their hand, “just that you’re not the first to try. You’re either going to forget about me or not see me enough to properly pursue me.” “As if I could forget a cute face like yours,” Milo said. “I’d sooner be haunted by it than forget. I don’t know if you noticed, but I’m not like other guys.” Sneaks let out a humourless laugh. “Yeah, okay, toots.”
#plutonium_WIPW#on a Monday night#“but pluto that's just posting snippets-” SHH i can do what I want /lh#redacted audio#redactedverse#redacted wip#redacted milo#redacted sweetheart#guys I cannot explain how much I love this concept#oh and Sweetheart calling Milo toots??? dead I cant deal with this#i love them so much PLEASE#im already a thousand words into this fucker and we're only on point one of my outline#this is gonna be LONG

Answer the questions and tag five fanfiction authors you know!
tagged by the terrifyingly talented @kvetchinglyneurotic and the impossibly incredible @sighonaraa
1. How many fandoms have you written in?
One! Uno! Eins! All of the ridiculously emotionally evocative writers in the Ted Lasso fandom completely broke my brain and launched me into the undiscovered country (fic writing).
2. How many years have you been writing fanfiction?
Since January, so about .3 years 🤗
3. Do you read or write more fanfiction?
Definitely read. I am perpetually mentally exhausted in my free time and usually can't concentrate enough to write. That being said I also haven't had much time to READ fic lately. So. Help???
4. What is one way you've improved as a writer?
Hmmmm. I'd say embracing the draft process? When I started writing fic (OH SO LONG AGO I KNOW) I was very 'this needs to be good' and now I'm appreciating the 'this needs to be FUNCTIONAL' mindset more.
5. What's the weirdest topic you researched for a writing project?
Definitely not weird BUT I did accidentally fall down a research spiral for ONE WORD in 'i learned to walk while he was away'. For context: I am not Jewish, but I head-canon Roy as Jewish and there is ONE LINE that references this in that fic. I wanted to double check if there was any significance to the different spellings of Hanukkah, lest I accidentally step on a cultural landmine. Cut to a day later where I'd fallen deep, deep down an equally enjoyable and educational rabbit hole about Jewish holidays, (fostered my ongoing vendetta against the English language,) and found a Jewish bakery that's local to me because I wanted to try Challah very badly. (It was great.) (There is not a large Jewish population where I live [in case that wasn't obvious] I'm blaming my now-semi-remedied culture blindness on that. But Em, you took an elective on world religion in University? SHUT UP I KNOW.)
6. What's your favourite type of comment to receive on your work?
ANY COMMENT. I made an ao3 account last year because I wanted to not lurk quite so much, stop being a 'consumer' of fan-creations, and LEAVE SOME COMMENTS. And I'd seen authors talk about how great getting them was but holy guacamole nothing could have prepared me for the feeling of people liking something I wrote enough to leave a comment or a heart or an 'ah'.
7. What's the most fringe trope/topic you write about?
Errrrrrrr. I guess just gen-fic? Looking at the numbers of ship-fic in the archive, it certainly feels fringe-esque to write gen.
8. What is the hardest type of story for you to write?
I was going to say 'short' because things just keep happening when I try to write succinct outlines (somehow NONE OF THOSE 'THINGS' ARE PLOT), but after applying a bit more scrutiny to anything I've ever written; it's action. Fast-paced action. I don't know her.
9. What is the easiest type?
Assorted emotional whacks! When I was writing original fiction a solid decade ago as a teen-bean I favoured physical-whump, me now has found it a lot easier to write emotional-whump. Not sure why??? But here we are. (Either way someone's suffering.)
10. Where do you do your writing? What platform? When?
Okay this is actually a very involved story that I might tell later, but I just changed what platform I was using. SO! As of about a week ago I've been writing on google docs. Beyond that, it's a laptop/couch combo whenever I have the brain power (which is almost never 😭).
11. What is something you've been too nervous/intimidated to write, but would love to write one day?
OOOF. There are a few wips in the assorted-mountainous-pile of non-active development that are. Heavy. Heavier than the various fics/wips I've published/am actively poking at. I'd like to write them one day but I am also very 'hmm' when I look at them.
12. What made you choose your username?
So 'Em' is a real-life nickname, smash that together with my love of the colour green and tada! You get 'emerald'. 'Cats' is about... cats. I am obsessed with the little creatures, despite never owning one. (Initially I spelt it as 'kat'- no idea why??? I think I just like the letter 'k'???? Potassium?????????? B A N A N A???????????????) And 'thirteen' is my favourite number, just because I find the concept of a number being considered 'unlucky' hysterical and the idea that some airlines genuinely leave out a row thirteen because of superstition always makes me grin like an idiot. The order is purely because I like the image of a bunch of green cats running around together.
I have done a quick investigation and everyone I know has either already done this or already been tagged. (I have once again shown up two days late with iced-coffee to a tag-game. [At least I showed up, I forgot to do like three of these things despite loving them, I'M SORRY 😭])
If anyone sees this and they HAVEN'T been tagged, consider this your green-for-go flag and feel free to tag me as your tagger.
#THANK YOU BELOVEDS#feel very lucky to have stumbled onto this corner of the internet/fandom/world(??) full of such amazing people#always grateful for you all#tag game#writing tag

writer tag game!! <3
tagged by @at-thezenith !!! thank you i loved these questions
1. what was the first piece of writing you did where you thought "wow I'd love to be a writer"? i wrote a silly lil fanfic about my favorite bass player and had more fun doing that than any other hobby i've ever had, and then i started to read pretty avidly to help me escape my reality and that made me finally decide to write; because i wanted to help others escape their own reality.
2. how do you gather inspiration for your works? (pinterest boards, writing prompts, etc) usually either from pinterest or dialogue prompts! but sometimes the right song on the radio will also inspire something:)
3. what genre is easiest to write? what's the hardest? why? fantasy is by far the easiest to me. you can create anything you want for whatever reason you want no matter how historically accurate or downright silly. i think that romance is the hardest to write (personally) because it is really hard to be able to convey a person being in love in words; the feeling exceeds words. also my relationships in the past were all VERY toxic so i keep a lot of my stories platonic so i don't project into my writing lol (which is fine to do! i just don't want to write and relive all my relationship trauma. maybe one day)
4. what does a typical day of writing look like for you? a LOT of pinterest, lots of music, i clean my entire house because i can't write in a dirty environment; i get all stressed about cleaning. i can usually push out 3,000 words per writing session in a pretty quick fashion because i work best without preparedness and just spit whatever comes out of my brain instead.
5. free space! ramble about a character you've most enjoyed writing about. i think that emilio is my current favorite to write about and build around. he is my first diverse character to put up front, and i am loving it. i am doing as much research as i can to be as accurate as possible. i haven't done someone diverse in lots of detail before because i've always felt very uneducated and did not want to risk being offensive or inconsiderate. i do feel like i've grown in my writing enough now though:) he's super goofy and very strong willed and needs to be protected because he is precious to me.
6. if you could pick the brains of one author, who would you pick and why? CATHERYNNE M. VALENTE. her writing is my BIGGEST inspiration. i love her details and her characters (Saturday from tgwcf is my BABY). i was just telling my fiancé last night that i would sell my kidneys to go to a writing class if she offered one. that woman is a god
7. what's one writing tip that has stuck in your head? my answer is pretty vague but LEARN TO WRITE LIKE YOU. writing rules are cool and all but they are made to be broken. there are books out there, BESTSELLERS, with run on sentences that go on for pages. people publish with millions of commas or semicolons. do not let the writing "rules" hold you back. your story deserves to be told the way you want to tell it!!
this is SUPERRR OPEN TAG!! but (no pressure) i'd love to tag @avi-why @anonymousfoz @leisoree @moonlitinks and @daisywords !!!!
here are your questions!!
1. spill. who is your favorite author, and why? and what book is your favorite of theirs?
2. which book have you read that you dislike the most? why?
3. which wip (current or past) is your absolute favorite that you've written/are writing?
4. have you written a series? if no, would you ever consider it?
5. what do you hope your readers will take away from your wips?
6. would you allow a movie adaption of your wip?
7. brag about your current wip!! :) (if no current, brag about your favorite one you've ever done! or both hehe)
#tag game#soooo much fun i love to talk#writing#writeblr#authors#poetry#zoey says shit#writers on tumblr

1. How many works do you have on AO3?
7! Although like half of them are just fanart so I really haven't written that much. :3
2. What’s your total AO3 word count? 35,919 - SHAMEFULLY LOW
3. What fandoms do you write for?
Currently just Lockwood & Co although I have a Miraculous Ladybug fic that has been languishing in my WIPs on FF.net for years. I meant it to be a oneshot and then it got comments so I kept writing without an ending in mind and I've lost the plot. :p
4. What are your top 5 fics by kudos?
Inside, This Place is Warm - L&Co
Three's a Company (And a Home) - L&Co
Everyone Makes Bad Decisions - L&Co
Part of Your World - L&Co (fanart)
Powdered Sugar - L&Co
5. Do you respond to comments?
Yes! Usually when I update, so it may be way later than the original comment, oopsie.
6. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?
I don't think I'm capable of writing anything but a happy ending tbh, haha. I just can't do it to myself. Part of the fun of writing fic for me is getting the satisfaction of seeing resolutions that didn't get done in canon. Although I guess the ending for one of my unfinished ones is semi-angsty? But I shan't spoil it!
7. What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?
Probably Three's Company (and a Home). Love me some cot3 realizing they are all crazy about each other.
8. Do you get hate on fics?
Fortunately no, but I think that's more due to the fact that so far most of my posted fics are for rarepairs, so there's less eyes on them in general. In fact I'm usually surprised when I get comments or kudos from people I don't directly interact with in the fandom, lol. I'm used to the audience for my fics being pretty small.
9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind?
Yes! I...I don't know what kind? N...normal??? Well I guess technically all the smut I've posted so far is poly? I'm new enough to it that I'm not super familiar with like, categories so, uh...that's about all I can say to describe it ...but if you told me like five years ago I'd be not only writing, but sharing smut online I'd be so scandalized, haha.
10. Do you write crossovers?
Not yet. I'm not super into crossovers as a trope, it has to be like, really well written or a really compelling idea for me to be into it. There's a handful of crossover ideas I've had for a couple fandoms but nothing that has compelled me enough to sit down and write. Maybe more likely to do some silly comics at some point.
11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?
Not that I'm aware of, but the idea that anyone would find any reason to steal my fics is hilarious to me. Like...why.
12. Have you ever had a fic translated?
No. Again, my audience is pretttttttty small. Which is fine by me, I'm not posting for popularity or numbers, it's just fun to have my friends like my work. :)
13. Have you ever co-written a fic before?
Not yet. I think I'd be more open to doing illustrations for a work, honestly, than co-writing. I'm...bad at sharing creative control. -_-;
14. What is your all-time favorite ship?
StarfireXRobin, my childhood OTP, forever in my heart (UuU)
15. What’s a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?
Oh god. Don't get mad but I honestly keep forgetting I even wrote the first chapter of Everyone Make Bad Decisions. I started writing it as a silly self-indulgent one-shot and then it bloomed into a terribly complex soap opera level drama in my head that's just honestly really intimidating for me to think about writing all the way out. I have mad respect for people who can stick out writing a fic that's more than like, 5 chapters.
16. What are your writing strengths?
I like to think I'm good with metaphors and descriptions. I really like writing poetry and I think some of that comes out in my prose too.
17. What are your writing weaknesses?
Finishing a fic, lmaooooooooo
18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic?
Hmmmm, personally it'd have to be really relevant to the plot for me to include it, otherwise it seems like it makes it harder for the reader?
19. First fandom you wrote for?
Teen Titans, the Cartoon Network version. I was OBSESSED.
20. Favorite fic you’ve written?
Hmmmm, probably Inside, This Place is Warm. I haven't finished posting because the last two chapters need some massaging before I'll be satisfied with them but it's all written. It's the most ambitious fic I've written so far and also something I never would've predicted myself writing, which makes it really fun.
Tagging @monsterbananatv @hailqiqi and @ohmyoverland cause I wanna see your answers! :3

Fic author interview
Thanks to @sesamestreep and @glorious-spoon for tagging me in this one over the holidays! But between starting the new job and the holidays and the RCSS, it totally slipped my mind until now 😬
No-pressure tagging: @anghraine, @ladytharen, @luciechat, and anyone else who feels like it.
1. How many works do you have on AO3?
An even 200 if I include both accounts.
2. What’s your total AO3 word count?
Just under 650K words altogether.
3. What are your top 5 fics by kudos?
Last Train
I fought the war (but the war won)
left-handed kisses
Fixer Upper
Chain Reaction
4. Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?
Yes! I want to let commenters know they're appreciated, and I enjoy talking about little details or plot turns. Lately I haven't had the time or energy for much more than a quick thank you, but I'm still trying to respond.
5. What’s the fic you’ve written with the angstiest ending?
At one point it would've been the bad ending of I fought the war, but now I think this Whumptober piece takes the crown.
6. What’s the fic you’ve written with the happiest ending?
Considering canon, most of them have an unrealistically happy ending! Especially inside the vastness of the galaxy, the "Naomi & Filip get a happy reunion" story.
7. Do you write crossovers?
No. I enjoy writing & reading some fusions (i.e. characters from one canon in the setting of another) but traditional crossovers in which characters from two different canons meet don't generally appeal to me.
8. Have you ever received hate on a fic?
Not on AO3, but I've been sent anon hate on Tumblr about my writing a couple of times (find a Reylo writer who hasn't challenge).
9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind?
Yeah, a fair bit - in fact it's hard to remember sometimes that I never wrote anything explicit before 2016! It's all pretty vanilla, though, minus a few attempts at kinkier stuff which are deservedly anonymous.
10. Have you ever had a fic stolen?
Kind of; someone commented on one of my stories on AO3 to tell me that another story had copied significant parts of it. (They'd already commented on and reported the other fic, so I didn't take any additional action. The plagiarizing story was eventually deleted.)
11. Have you ever had a fic translated?
Yes! Bless the fandom translators, for they are amazing.
12. Have you ever co-written a fic before?
Nothing posted publically.
13. What’s your all-time favorite ship?
I couldn't possibly choose a single favourite! In terms of longevity, it's either Han/Leia or Eowyn/Faramir. And Star Wars ships in general seem to have a strong hold on me 😁
14. What’s a WIP that you want to finish but don’t think you ever will?
The OT3 whumpfic. It's nearly done, but it's far outside my usual wheelhouse so without a beta reader, I can't tell whether it's worth finishing or beyond help.
15. What are your writing strengths?
I think I write decent dialogue, and I'm genuinely proud of the ideas behind I fought the war and pulse to pulse. I can also write a pretty good pastiche of 19C style, although you wouldn't know it from this account.
16. What are your writing weaknesses?
Plotting. Falling back on boring/clichéd beats to flesh out dialogue-heavy scenes.
17. What are your thoughts on writing dialogue in other languages in a fic?
A sentence or so? Sure. Can't think of a reason to do much more than that.
18. What was the first fandom you wrote for?
It would be either Buffy or Lord of the Rings - I honestly don't remember - not counting the terrible Shannara-fic I wrote as a pre-teen.
19. What’s a fandom/ship you haven’t written for yet but want to?
Someday I'd really like to write a Children of Men story telling what happened to Kee and [spoiler] after the movie, plus fixing [spoiler].
20. What’s your favorite fic you’ve written?
Subject to change by the moment, of course, but looking back at some older stories recently reminded me that I've always been pretty fond of don't go home without me.

Fic Writers Q & A
tagged by @ellen-shame -- Thank you!!!
Okay I'm super bad at ever doing the things I get tagged in but here goes!
How many wips do you have currently? Lol okay let's define this relatively strictly as stories I have written at least the first few paragraphs of and actively intend to finish. I'd have to say...five? If we're counting the polycule, which is fully drafted but not yet fully revised and posted. The others are: wolfverse!Quinn, wolfverse!Jack, sub!Connor, and dom!Mitch. I also have a Jamie pov for the Trevor sequel that I briefly started, but I don't know that I'm actually going to work on that.
Which one are you finding the hardest to finish? Why do you think that is? I haven't really tried yet to finish most of them. Wolfverse!Quinn is the one I'm actively working on right now; I'll start working on wolfverse!Jack once I get to his story chronologically, since the stories have a lot of temporal overlap and will be posted in tandem. I did get 10K into dom!Mitch last month and hit a dead end; I think I know how to fix it, but I didn't intend to be working on it at that point at all, so it was probably for the best. 😂
What does it usually look like when inspiration strikes for you? A lot of times it looks like an inspiring ask on Tumblr! Usually when a story idea hits and starts happening in my brain, I try to write down the beginning until it gets difficult; then when I do come back to write the whole thing in earnest, there's already a solid start that captures what I was thinking about at the time. (That's how I accidentally ended up with 10K of dom!Mitch last month.)
Do you curate playlists for each fic or is your process different? Nah, I don't really target my music-listening to my writing. Though for one of my earliest Star Trek fics I listened to nothing but the Glee version of Teenage Dream on a loop. That was a good time.
Do you go balls to the wall and write as you go or are you more organized? The first one, though I usually know the rough shape of a story before I start, and sometimes I have to plan a little more carefully if there are going to be time-specific hockey events involved. I did have to do more timeline planning for the Jack and Quinn wolfverse stories, since they're overlapping. I always write from start to finish, though, rather than jumping around, or else I can't correctly manage the character arc and mood.
tagging: @makeit-takeit and @donderwolkenblog (but no pressure!)

20 questions for fic writers!
Thanks for the tag @maesterchill, I loved reading your answers!
Here are mine! (under the cut)
1. How many works do you have on AO3?
I have 30!
2. What’s your total AO3 word count?
64,491, which is higher than I expected actually. My one 13k fic is doing the hard work in pulling up the average words 😂
3. What fandoms do you write for?
Harry Potter!! Various ships but mostly Drarry
4. What are your top 5 fics by kudos?
The Love You Find - The one with the road trip My Heart Was Unprepared - The one with Draco's diary All The Time In The World - The one with gender euphoria The Strings That Weave Us - The one where Draco has pink hair The Evolution of Soup (Or How Harry Learned to be Loved) - The one with too much soup and a lot of feelings
5. Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?
No, but not by choice per se. But I have truly terrible object permanence and by the time I remember them I feel bad that I haven't responded yet and then I never do...
6. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?
Til The End of The Night - I don't really write fics that don't have happy endings, but this is just 700 words of angst. Sorry Harry. I do have a kind-of sequel planned for this but who knows if it will ever get finished!
7. What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?
As I said, I don't really write not happy endings. But maybe The Love You Find.
8. Do you get hate on fics?
I've had a couple of odd comments, but none that I would class as hate.
9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind?
I have written exactly two fics that have smut, one drarry and one poly golden trio. So I'm not sure if I have a kind? Probably soft and sweet, or at least that's what I aim for.
10. Do you write crossovers? What’s the craziest one you’ve written?
No I haven't, and I don't think I ever will. I don't really know any other universe in the same way as I know HP - both the canon and then the world I've built for it in my head - to be able to confidently combine them.
11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?
Not that I know of...
12. Have you ever had a fic translated?
No, but I'd be open to it if anyone ever wanted to.
13. Have you ever co-written a fic before?
I haven't! @phoebe-delia and I keep talking about it though...
14. What’s your all time favourite ship?
Drarry, always
15. What’s a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?
As mentioned above, I have twoish chapters written of a "sequel" (maybe more a companion?) to Til The End Of The Night. It's the first Drarry fic I started writing and it got abandoned in favour of fest fics and I've never gotten back to it. I would like to think I will, but at this point my faith is low!
I also have the first four books written of a Hermione-POV canon, which was my first ever fanfic. It has been long abandoned and will never be returned to. If you manage to track down my old ffn account and find it, godspeed to you
16. What are your writing strengths?
Ummm. People tell me I make them feel things, so maybe that? I also can't turn my SPAG brain off, so as long as I slow down enough to edit my own writing, that's usually pretty strong.
17. What are your writing weaknesses?
I am not good at writing plotty things, and when I do try I find it really hard to not just info-dump it - to actually describe what is happening instead of just narrating it to the reader. I can do vibes, but not plot 🤷
18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic?
I love it in other people's fics, but I do not have more than a couple of random words in any language other than English. I know that translation sites exist, but I feel that I don't have enough knowledge of other languages to do it justice.
The only time I'd break this self-imposed rule would be if I was making new spells - eg using Latin.
19. First fandom you wrote for?
Harry Potter. First and only!
20. Favourite fic you’ve written?
Oh boy. Either All The Time in the World or (They) Keep Me Warm. Because both of them are full of all my trans feels and are probably the two fics that I have put the most of myself into.
Thanks again for the tag, this was fun! No-pressure tagging @phoebe-delia @otpcutie @geesenoises @citrusses @makeitp1nk and anyone who wants to!!

That's all I write and everything tends to involve kinks in some form, I'm very much a write what you want to read kinda gal. Aside from me being a pervert and it just being plain fun to write I just think sex in general is a very Neat Fun Activity. Also it can be an interesting lens to look at a character through since it's a pretty vulnerable thing usually and I really enjoy that aspect as well, getting to dig a bit and figure out whats going on under the hood and all that. Wow ok that sounds pretentious as fuck, moving on
10. Do you write Cross-Overs?
Nope.
11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?
Not sure why anyone would tbh
12. Have you ever had a fic translated?
Nope
13. Have you ever co-written a fic before?
No, and not sure I'd like to, I barely interact with anyone as it is and I'm picky as fuck
14. What‘s your all time favorite ship?
I mean I don't really write ships (or do reader inserts count? hm), but for reading I like a bunch of different ones, the first one that come to mind is probably FrostIron (and sometimes JohnLock but shhh)
15. What‘s your WIP you like to finish, but doubt you ever will?
I don't have a ton of proper WIPs going anymore, but I do tend to finish the ones I have even if it might take time. Right now all of my Sandman stuff is on the back-burner while I play with this new shiny thing, but my brain being a mercurial beast it might not happen at all, who knows not me
16. What are your writing strengths?
Probably my lack of shame or that I get super focused and can write things decently fast
17. What are your writing weaknesses?
Probably the whole one trick pony thing, don't ask me to think of things like plots, I am here for the fictional man fucking and nothing else. Also I struggle to take things seriously for the most part, there will be banter and silliness of some sort more often than not. possibly flowery language?
18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic?
Never done that, I prefer writing in english even though it's not my first language. I suppose if a character was speaking another language I'd do it but I haven't really given it any thought until now
19. First fandom you wrote for?
Lord of the Rings. I was 12, it was bad lol
20. Favorite fic you‘ve ever written?
Probably lets not pretend we're not all nuts for The Voice, I think it came out pretty well and I had a good time writing it, starting out I was not confident I could manage to write it at all.
this was super fun, tagging @honeybeezgobzzzzz @roguelov and anyone else that wants to play :)
