GENDER NEUTRAL

something small to start the blog off hehe~ here are the RFA’s and saeran’s (minus v because i literally haven’t played his route or looked at him HJGHGJ sorry-) favourite pet names to call you: (minor spoilers for saeran)

yoosung:

not gonna lie, poor baby yoosung is probably the one *being* called the pet names most of the time; but after a while he does start to get more comfortable and less anxious and flusterable (is that word? LMAO) when giving affection to the MC. he starts off very slowly, calling you the pet names when you’re both sleepy, or when you’re focused on a game with him, so you don’t notice it too much (though his face still reddens in anticipation to your reaction) and then pet names become a more natural thing for him, and just start slipping out- especially if you give him a positive reaction because he just wants to see you happy!

pet names include: - honey (delivered with a cheesy grin, he thinks he’s all smooth and classy) - bubby (literally just baby but with extra yoosung sweetness added - it started out as something he used in his sleepy voice and then you picked up a liking to it- it still kind of embarrasses him) - birdie (likes the concept of you being all small and fluffy- *is small and fluffy*- yoosung’s version of the classic pet name ‘dove’) - snuggles (definitely WAS NOT the name of his old teddy bear that he MAYBE still keeps as a SECRET to cuddle when he misses you-) - his little pogchamp

zen:

pet name GOD - shamelessly started using pet names as SOON as you two hit it off, this man is a pet name machine he has TRICKS UP HIS SLEEVE. bro. he uses as many pet names as he can to figure out your weak spots and then TAKES ADVANTAGE OF THIS KNOWLEDGE. it boosts his ego to see you flustered because of him of course - though he wants you to feel special too! he has a few favourites listed here with special meaning~

pet name include: - babe/jagi/jagiya (duh bro?? its like canon or sum) - beautiful/handsome/gorgeous - whatever suits you most~ (NEED I SAY MORE? SOMEONE AS BEAUTIFUL AS HIM WILL ONLY BE WITH SOMEONE EQUALLY AS GOOD-LOOKING?? he also give constant compliments be warned) - cutie (wholesome zen moment) - good-lookin’ (said as he casually pulls you in by the waist to kiss your forehead, wow zen you’re so smoo0th) - sexy (IT’S THE BEAST BRO)

jaehee:

unfortunately none of us have really seen jaehee’s more lovey-dovey side in the game - she probably prefers calling you by your name the most, and she speaks it almost like it’s a praise, but the odd time she calls you pet names just as a way to appreciate you, or to remind you that she cherishes you. does it very casually and naturally, she’s quite a steady-paced girl so she needn’t force pet names to come, they just do whenever the moment calls for it really.

pet names incluude: - love - darling (you are dear to herr!! she’s so busy all the time - moments with you are cherished and precious - you’re like a pocket of hope and sunshine in such a grey world full of deadlines and schedules... someone she can truly relax with!) - beloved - dear(est) - sweetheart (BCS. YOU. ARE. SO SWEET! you’re always looking out for her and being so patient with her as she works - you have a heart of gold, and she admires how kind you are to the RFA members - she’s truly lucky to have won a place in your heart <3)

jumin:

this man. this man is so nonchalantly smooth. he doesn’t even know it - or maybe he does - you can’t tell because he’ll just slip in a pet name mid-convo and make you mELT. when he gets soft... pet names are maybe one of his favourite things to tell you, because he gets to show you his more vulnerable and affectionate sides. he uses pet names as a way to spoil you - and spoil you he does because HIS VOICE *IS HEAVEN*, and the light kisses and touches he places on you as he speaks to you so fondly are a BIIG BONUSS. it takes him a while to start using more ‘personalized’ pet names - he sticks to the generic ones at first, they’re classy and simple - but after a while he conjures up newer ones out of his sheer emotion for you - only to be used in private though.

pet names include: - the usual at first, dear, beloved, honey, love - AND THEN BOOM: precious (you are the most precious thing in his life HANDS DOWN. gets so sentimental when he uses it aswell - will whisper it to you before bed or when he’s trying to comfort you - nothing in this world compares to how much you mean to him) - kitten (yeah you thought i would stop myself - no.) - mr/mrs/mx* han (after you get married he does this a lot in public - maybe to show off a little bit and see everyone’s surprised faces as he follows it with ‘dear’ or something - he isn’t big into PDA but he has his smug sneaky ways of letting you know that he is thankful to have you) - HIS prince/princess/your majesty/highness: (DUUUDE... he wants the BEST for you - you’ve finally shown him what the wonderful feelings of love do! you hold that power over him at least! ...will kiss your hand when he uses this)

saeyoung:

saeyoung has... stranger more unique ways to show you affection, and the pet names he uses do not escape his whacky tendencies - uses pet names as a way to put a smile on your face and to make you laugh, to see that cute bright smile on your face! of course though, saeyoung has a (small) share of pet names that are more sensical and have some sort of more obvious meaning behind them. he starts off using dumb pet names, then as he gets emotionally attached stops, then he accepts he loves you and starts using really cheesey pet names, theenn he regains some of his happiness with you and becomes more jokey again (WHEW!).

pet names include: (besides the normal boooring ones /j) - his star (you guided him to his happiness... you shone for him brightly when he had no shine himself - you cheered him up with your beauty and warmth - and you guys did kick ass stuff in his good end like it was a MOVIE or something – also spaaace??) - weird food names - starts off as honey and sweetie pie - gets weird fast... will call you his chip and his nurse pepper ( doctor is reserved for the drink - otherwise it gets confusing) - LOWKEY MAKES FUN OF YOU... if you’re short he’ll call you shortie - if you’re tall he calls you tallie (haha funny.) if you’re blonde he calls you blondie, and if you have freckles or dimples OR GLASSES - consider it your new name. also starts calling you after the things you wear - if you wear chains, he calls you chains, if you wear dramatic makeup, he starts calling you a diva - will call you noob i’m sorry - sweet cheeks (SEVEN WHICH CHEEKS-) - boople snoot (yes.) - his galaxy (the seven alternative to my world)

saeran:

okay so - it’s assumed that saeran is actually a DID system but i’m writing for good end saeran because um - lets be honest the alters were not the most healthy and probably wouldn’t have been doing any pet name calling (ray being too insecure, black suit saeran and unknown... being black suit saeran and unknown? it would have been sarcastic and mean)

after all of the hardships you guys had gone through... saeran was TERRIFIED that you would leave because why on earth would you want to stick by with him i mean?? all he had known his whole life is literally mistreatment he thought you were too good to be true. but you stuck by and you gave him what he had needed for so long - you always made him feel safe and he finally belonged somewhere, felt like the world wasn’t ALWAYS out for him, he could breathe easier now. very reluctant at first - messing up with you especially gave him paralyzing fear. but then you showed him such loyalty, he looked at you and saw that yes you made mistakes, that you were human, and you reminded him that it was okay to be human too. so slowly he trusted that you would accept him being affectionate back - he wanted to appreciate you like you appreciated him - despite all of the flaws he saw in himself constantly. (WHOO I LOVE SAERAN SO MUCH OMG CAN YOU TELL??)

pet names include: - angel (do i need to explain this?? you’ve saved his life - his future, everything. he sees you with a halo around your head constantly, even at your darkest moments, because he’s been there before too!) - flower (at first glance may seem like a cute thing because ray liked gardening - which sure part of it is that - but moreover he talks about your beauty when he uses this pet name, about how happy you make him, he sees you as someone delicate and gentle yet at the same time someone bold and bright - someone that the world NEEDS) - sunshine (you brighten his day, his month, his year, his life - aaand well a garden does need sunshine doesn’t it? you keep him going when he feels like giving up) - love and dear (too classic not to be included with a man that wore fancy suits JHGH) - sweetheart/sweetie/honey (along with his big sweet tooth - he thinks you’re the sweetest person he’s ever met) - sugarplum (pls let me have this)

Hello again Caly 👋🏻 It's been a while, I'm sorry. I’m the anon that messaged you about asking for advice/your opinion on something related to writing a while ago. 🥺 So basically my question would be: what's your stance on writing fan fiction for real people? Do you think it’s fine or kind of weird and why do you think so?

I’ve also written out my background/thoughts for context. You can totally skip that, I just thought it might make sense to explain where I’m coming from. I’m sorry in advance for the wall of text that will follow. I’m very bad at keeping it short. 😭

So, I used to be a writer. I started out with kpop fan fiction when I was around 14 (I’m 24 now), but I stopped writing for kpop groups when I was around 17. From then on I wrote fan fiction for fictional characters, mostly anime characters, but I stopped sometime last year. I still have a lot of unfinished ideas I want to write, a lot of them include fictional characters, but others include real people, like the Ateez members or another group’s members, and that's the problem. Let me explain a little further: After a very painful breakup in the second half of last year I got back into kpop. More than ever. While I was casually listening to a few groups before, I suddenly started getting into like 10 groups within a really short amount of time (got7, mx, dreamcatcher, everglow, skz, svt, oneus etc. just to name a few). It’s been great so far, because the music and the groups are kind of a safe haven to me (if that makes sense). I mean, Kpop really helps me cope and kind of escape or make reality a little easier, I'm sure there are more people out there who feel the way I do. I wouldn’t say I’m overly obsessed or anything, but Kpop just is my biggest source of comfort right now, so sometimes I wonder "isn’t this a bit much?“. It’s a difficult topic. But anyways, of course one of the groups I got into was Ateez, otherwise I probably wouldn't be here writing this right now. So I listened to fireworks when it came out and I was impressed and instantly fell in love with them. A little while after that, when I still couldn’t match all of their names with their faces, I started browsing the ao3 tag out of curiosity and I stumbled across moc. I absolutey fell in love with the story and every aspect of it. It also inspired me to write myself again! I've had so many old and new ideas flood my mind, but I really haven't gotten around to write anything yet, because the fact that I'd be writing fan fiction for real people as an adult woman makes me feel kind of uneasy? But I don’t want it to make me feel uneasy! You know? I think it should be fine as long as you’re capable of differentiating reality from fiction. And as an adult with common sense you usually can do that, right? But I’ve seen many people, mostly on tumblr and twitter, say that it’s just weird and wrong and that it automatically makes you a delusional and obsessive fan. So now I’m torn between wanting to realize all the ideas I have (Big thanks to you, because you, your blog and moc are a huge inspiration for me 💕 also moc is without a doubt the best fan fiction I’ve ever read. It’s just an absolutely impressive and thrilling story) and feeling like I’m not supposed or allowed to do that? I hope that makes sense. I know there’s a million other things I wanted to tell you, but I think that’s enough for now. If this is a discussion that interests you, I might comeback with my two cents. 😳 Anyways, I hope I was able to convey my inner conflict and my feelings and everything. 🥺 English isn’t my first language so it was a bit difficult to phrase everything in a way that felt right. hello hun i'm sorry it took me so long to respond to your ask!! i wanted to make sure to set aside some time so i could be as thorough as possible in my response and give you my thoughts as clearly as possible!

so this debate has been something i've dealt with and struggled with a lot over the years of consuming fanfiction and creating it. i started out writing fanfiction of media like anime before getting into kpop, and it took me around 3 years to even start reading kpop fanfiction. every once in a while, the debate of whether or not real person fanfiction is okay or not comes up, and that does always discourage me. i wish i could be like 'yeah im solidly set in this opinion!' but i do still get discouraged myself, and that's something i think a lot of people struggle with! i resonate a lot with how you feel and what your opinions are and how much music and kpop means to you. i also get those worries of 'isn't this a bit much?' and such and it's a difficult thing to talk about and think about, but as you said, i think there is a line when it comes to fanfiction and life and reality

i have no issue with real person fanfiction. i tend to not read or write 'idol' aus because it feels a little too real for my comfort zone, but i will say that the people who dislike it are loud. they're hard to ignore and avoid. you aren't delusional or obsessive for enjoying fanfiction. it's called fan FICTION, meaning it's not real and it should not be meant to be real. it should be fine as long as you're able to draw the line and say 'this is not real and it will never be'. i think it's okay in some instances to be like 'man i wish i could live in this universe' while still realizing it's not real and you're not trying to force it down anyone's throats. that's the biggest thing in my mind. as long as you are not trying to shove it in these idols' faces or psychoanalyze them and their relationships, it's okay.

if someone doesn't like fanfiction, it's easy to just take a step back and say 'okay i won't talk about it/share it with you'. you can really cater your own experiences, decide what you want to see or don't want to see, but a lot of people complain about 'having' to see it. pretty much every single fanfic writer i've spoken to and encountered says they NEVER want someone to send a fanfic to an idol/the person who is in it, which is good and i think the best course of action when it comes to fanfic.

all in all, fanfic exists, it's out there, and it's FICTION. it's not real, it's not meant to be shoved in other people's faces, it's not meant to be shared with the idols who are characters in it, and most often the idols are 'place-holders' for characters. what i mean by that is they are a common place for a lot of people, something recognizable and enjoyable, but the personalities and way they're written will always differ across the board. you could think of it almost as a canvas, a person you like being a canvas for you to paint your words and stories on. writing fanfiction about kpop does not make you any less or more of a fan, it doesn't mean you don't respect and care about these idols as human beings and people, and the biggest thing to worry about is simply understanding and respecting your boundaries as a fan by not sharing it/shoving it in the idols' face.

congratulations on 6k! you're really rad and i genuinely think that you deserve all this support and love, it's just really nice to see that you've progressed so quickly and smoothly! you've put a ton of effort into things your write, your events, everything! your interactions with your anons are just so nice, and that's all because you're an amazing person!

when i joined the genshin fandom, you were one of the first blogs that i had run into, and that's pretty neat. at first, i didn't follow you, since i wasn't really used to your writing. but as i kept on encountering your works, i eventually grew accustomed to it- and i like your writing style! v swag :)

your oc, toxin, is just- perfection. i like the whole background thing, powers, but the fic i liked the most was the one where toxin attempts to poison you. my imagination can just run wild from there, picturing out what the character did after running out to go after toxin, but for zhongli's case how he took care of you + what he did after.

you, pocket, are a wonderful person- if you receive hate, you don't deserve it! 6000 seems like a large accomplishment, and it must've felt really nice to hit that number. a great person like you deserves the world, but the world may not deserve you. your presence alone on tumblr is practically a blessing, and i'm grateful for everything that you've wrote! not only that, but you've helped me become bolder and interact off anon. i think that's pretty neat, genuinely.

He heard the door unlock and glanced up from over the couch to see your flushed and tear stained face. He immediately jumped up and ran over to you. "What happened? Why are you crying?!" He asked. "Some.... Some guy was following me when I left the store, he tried to grab me when I started to walk faster." Wonho was pissed. His blood was boiling at the thought of some creep grabbing and following you. "Where is he?! Why didn’t you call me??" He asked taking your bag out of your hand and leading you to the couch. "Someone saw and called the cops. I shoved him off but he was gripping really tight.." you lifted your sleeve to show him the fresh red finger prints on your forearm. "Did the cops show up? I'm so sorry you had to deal with this... Why didn't you call me?" He was worried for your well-being now and just was wondering why you didn't call him at all. "I tried but my phone died, but yes the cops came and he's apparently done this before and they were finally able to book him on other counts. Another copy gave me a ride home." You explained. His expression softened as you closed your eyes. "I'm so sorry baby... Come here.." he slid you closer to him and held you until you fell asleep from the comfort is his heart beat.

He was actually on his way to meet you at this Cafe you suggested during your lunch break. He was typing away on his phone when he heard a familiar voice. But it was a sound he's never heard before, something out of a nightmare. His head shot in the direction of the voice and he took off running down the street. When he arrived it was about a block from the cafe and he saw you. Hella shaken up. Gripping your wrist and crying. He bolted to you. You heard the footsteps and looked his way. You ran to him the rest of the way. "What the hell happened??? Are you okay? Why are you crying? Are you hurt??" A million questions flew from his mouth looking over you're entire body and taking your hurt hand in his inspecting it. He heard a commotion coming from the section you where in. He jogged over and when he saw you punch this guy square in the face he was shook. He snapped out of it when the guy went to hit you back and tackled him. "Who the hell do you think you are?" He asked as he had the guy pinned to the floor. "What the hell is going on over here?!" The cops arrived shortly and the guy was taken away in cuffs. A paramedic was looking over your hand and wrist. You broke your pinky and ring fingers and you had some finger print bruises on your wrist. Shownu was watching as they wrapped your hand. "Is there a way you can wrap til I can't see the bruises?" You asked. Not wanting to see them until they were gone. The paramedic nodded understanding why you wanted that without asking. "Let's go home.. "Thank you for taking him down like that. I'll never forget it." You said with a small smile as you took his hand in yours.

He jumped when you slammed the door of his studio. He looked at you all flustered and Shakey. “What’s wrong?” he asked turning his chair towards you. “I- some guy tried to literally kid nap me!” you said in a loud tone. “What?! Who?! Where?!” he asked jumping up from his seat and rushing to you. His face was turning red as he looked you over to see if you where hurt. He saw red fingerprints forming ion your forearm and wrist. “I don't know who it was, he took off when I screamed because it caught some peoples attention and they started to run towards us.” you explained tears forming in your eyes. “Okay, first things first, we need to inform the company and see if we can figure out who it was there has to be cameras where you were.” he said as he started to lead you out of his studio. “Wait, I don't want to just yet, If I talk about it right now ill just cry more and I cant cry in front of them.” you said looking at your feet as tears fell into the carpet of his studio. “Its okay love, ill be right there. Ill make sure you’re taken care of.” he took you into his arms as he felt your body relax you two made your way to the chairman’s office.

Hyungwon:

He’s the one that found you just sitting in the doorway of his apartment. “Hey, are you okay?” he asked seeing you. You looked up tears still coming from your eyes, cheeks and eyes red, and eyes super puffy. “Baby! What happened?!” he asked this time kneeling in front of you. “I was on my way here, to bring you some dinner since we’ve both been so busy I knew you’d be here and I got off early...” you said in a small voice. He nodded and looked at you to continue. “And when I was coming around the corner of the store some guys came out of nowhere and cornered me and tried to put me in a car but the shop owner saw and called the cops and some others where there held the guys down.” you talked fast trying to get it all out so you can stop thinking and talking about it. “And? did they come, are they in jail? are you hurt anywhere?!” he asked taking your hands in his and looking over your arms, he stopped when he saw hand print type bruises on your arm near your elbow. “yes, they came and I had to stay to give my report and it was confirmed by everyone there so they took them away... they said I might have to go to the station and give a full statement but theyd call me if I needed to. and no im not hurt just beyond happy to see you.” you said slowly standing up and hugging his torso. He hugged you back and closed his eyes as he sighed. “Okay, they have your number right?” you nodded. “Okay, then lets go inside ill order something for us, and we can watch a movie.” he said unlocking his door. Since you had just realized you lost the food in the altercation you nodded and went inside.

Minhyuk:

He was watching tv when he heard you come in, he looked over the couch to see you leaning against the door, face in your hands, jacket still on, purse just dangling by one strap because the strap is broken, your shoes all scuffed up. “Hey, what’ wrong?” he got up slowly not sure how to approach because he doesn't know if you’re mad, upset, or mad at him for something. He walked slowly over til he was right there in front of you. You sighed and threw yourself at him burring your face in his chest and let out a loud sob. He was terrified but he hugged you back tightly. “oh, shh its okay. I’m here..” he cooed completely unsure with what’s happening. Your phone started ringing and you snapped back and just stared at it. “Whos that?” he asked. “The police department.” you answered shakily. He was so confused by this point. You walked to the couch as you answered it. He followed. As you talked things started to click for him. Why you where crying and you looking super distraught. he took your free hand in his and you looked at him tears in your eyes again. He wiped them away before they fell. HE held you as you spoke to the officer. Once you got off the phone he just pulled your whole body onto his lap. “Oh baby I’m so sorry you had to go through that. I cant even imagine...” He trailed off this time stroking your hair soothingly. You soon fell asleep from pure emotional and mental exhaustion. You woke up to the smell of your favorite foods. He smiled at you and handed you a plate. “I’m not sure if you’re hungry but I made dinner, also you’re not to go anywhere alone for a while understood?” he said sternly but with a smile. you smiled and nodded.

Kihyun: he was talking to a friend when he saw you pull up to the company building in a company van. “What's up hot shot?” he asked laughing and kinda confused as to why you where in a company van. “Its a...a long story, can we talk?” you said glancing at the driver who nodded and reopened the door so you two could climb in. “What's going on?” he asked really consirned and cinfused. You explained what happened not even 20 minutes prior. You explained that his manager had called and asked for you to run an errand for him and seeing as this isn't anything out of the ordinary you accepted and he gave you a driver so itll be easier to go in and get out asap. He nodded. So when you had started to leave some girls came up to you and asked for a selfie and they where nice so you said yeah. You took one with each girl then said your goodbyes, as they opened the door to an apartment building connected to the store some guy pushed passed them and tried to take you. The driver saw as soon as he grabbed your body. He took the guy down and the girls called he cops. It was chaos. The girls where with you making sure nobody got pictures of you on your state. His jaw was on the floor. “Someone would just do that? In broad daylight?” He asked dumbfounded. You nodded. “yeah, im okay now I was able to catch my breath, but the chairman wants me to come up and tell him everything and he’s already talked to the police station and he said he plans on giving me a body guard for the time being.” you added. He nodded. “Okay lets get you up there and get the ball rolling, I wish I could be with you all the damn time, maybe since we are taking a break ill see if I can spend more time at home instead of here during that time, I don't want you alone ever.” He said climbing out of the van. He helped you out. He kissed your forehead and took your hand as he led you to the entrance

This is Us - Part One

This is an introduction to my system members, all under one tag (#thisisus). Seeing as there’s a currently noted 37 of us it’s rather long and we’ve decided to break it up into a few parts. We hope for those of you who choose to read this it’s either helpful or interesting. ~ Aesh & Isaac (here are parts two, three, four, and five. - alec)

1. Aesh | Hello! My name’s Aeshea [ash-sha], and I’m a demon of many beautiful and fantastic forms~ Most of the system just recently came to realize that I am in fact a part of it. 2. Alec | This right here is Alexander. He chose the name Alexander, Alec for short, many, many years ago— back when we were a little queer kid in the closet reading The Mortal Instruments series. (He may not look exactly like he’s described in the books, but yes, our Alec is a fictive of Alec Lightwood!) He’s a friendly, sociable guy who will befriend just about anybody. 3. Aodhan | This is Aody, his name’s pronounced like “Aiden” in case you were wondering. He’s an elf as you can see by his pointed ears. Quite honestly he’s a sweetheart but doesn’t come out much because he prefers speaking his own made up language between him and Lora to speaking English. 5. Arlo | Arlo’s our wonderful ace emo enby. They don’t like to come out a lot because they feel compelled to remember every single thing they ever read (and usually do to their credit), which is draining. 6. Bailey | This is the goddex of our system, Mx. Bailey Heloise Evin Jameson. Even her name is grand, right? She’s been going through some rough times so she’s not out as much as she used to be, but when she’s got her head on straight she can run this whole system blindfolded. 7. Cade | We consider Cade to be Arlo’s counterpart in a way. Where Arlo’s compelled to remember everything they read, Cade’s compelled to remember everything he ever hears. Mx Nillin

1. How long have you been polyamorous or been practicing polyamory?

Personally? Less than 5 years. I’ve been non-monogamous with my nesting partner, Falon, for about 4 years now, but neither of us explicitly identified as polyamorous until we started seeing our best friend Kate about a year ago.

2. What does your relationship dynamic look like?

Falon and I are legally married and live together in a tiny apartment with a cat and two guinea pigs. We’re in a romantic, sexual, and emotional relationship with our best friend, Kate, who lives on her own a short drive across town.

Kate doesn’t want to ever get married or live with anybody else. She really values having her own place to herself and so do we, so, it just works out for everybody really well! We all see each other multiple times a week, binge watching Netflix shows, playing nerdy tabletop games, going on date nights, checking out local events, or trying out threesome positions for ourselves and then blogging about them [http://mxnillin.com/will-it-threesome-double-dip/] LOL

Though Fal, Kate, and I are in a closed polyamorous triad together, we’re all still non-monogamous to a degree. Each of us has a friend or two we sometimes share nudes and flirt with outside of our relationship, but the three of us are all romantically committed to each other.

3. What aspect of polyamory do you excel at?

Ugh, honestly, I wouldn’t say that I “excel” at anything so much as I’m just doing the best I can to look after my own health and wellness while also striving to be the best partner I can be to Kate and Falon.

I used to be REALLY bad at the whole self-care thing and it lead to a lot of fear, anxiety, insecurities, and jealousy in my past relationships. I almost exclusively relied on those who I was intimate with to just comfort me until I felt better. In some cases, I put the entire onus of my mental and emotional health onto my past partners. Unsurprisingly, that created some incredibly fucking unhealthy behaviors as I sought out a pretty constant supply of comfort, validation, and assurance from them in order for me to feel happy and secure in those relationships.

That’s not so much an issue for me anymore, and I’m really proud of that because it has taken a lot of hard work to unlearn those toxic behaviors, develop healthier personal habits, and overall better communicate with the people who I love. I’m also much more on top of taking my anti-depressant pills, and going in to see my counsellor, when necessary.

That’s not to say I’m some stoic, chill master of my emotions or anything. Insecurities still crop up, jealousy sometimes rears its head, and on occasion a little validation is appreciated, but I think all of that is pretty natural

4. What aspect of polyamory do you struggle with?

The stigma. Holy shit, the stigma

I‘ve never loved two people at the same time, and in the same ways, before. I’ve never been committed to two partners at once before. Like, it’s no exaggeration when I say that my relationship with Falon and Kate has shattered my entire perspective of life, love, family, the institution of marriage, identity, politics, and so much more.

And all for the better, I might add!

But polyamory isn’t something you see reflected back at you by society, especially not in any sort of positive, judgement-free way. It’s not a relationship structure that’s even sorta socially, politically, governmentally, or economically accepted, let alone widely acknowledged, talked about, written about, ore seen out in public. And it sure as shit isn’t represented in a lot in literature, or art, or media of any kind… at least not in ways that don’t tend to be fetishizing or tragic.

I mean, when’s the last time you’ve seen any sort of show about an everyday non-binary queer navigating life with their poly family? Never? Yeah, me neither.

All of this has led to us having to pretty regularly endure super shitty, awkward situations of us having to be in the closet depending on who we’re interacting with at any given time. Trying to remember who you’re out to, and who is SAFE to be out to, is exhausting and stressful for us all.

And that fucking blows. Yet it’s oftentimes necessary for all our safety.

5. How do you address and/or overcome those struggles?

I talk about it with my partners. A lot. We check in with each other pretty often and we don’t let difficult discussions go undiscussed for long.

And I write about it too! Maybe too much at times haha.

I find that by putting myself out there, speaking up about my experiences and relationships, it has helped me empower others in their poly relationships while offering me the opportunity to learn from them as well. Especially other sex bloggers, writers, and workers.

I’ve also surrounded myself with a pretty amazing little family of queer and trans folks who have been wonderful supports in my life.

6. In terms of risk-aware/safer sex, what do you and your partners do to protect one another?

Clear, concise, honest communication has been key. Fal, Kate, and I are all aware of each other’s past partners and we’ve all tested ourselves for STI’s. Currently, we’re all fluid-bonded together, so, condom usage isn’t really there like it used to be. However, we still make sure to boil any sex toys that are shared (between uses), keep our nails trimmed, use lube as needed, and generally make sure that we’re listening to and respecting each other’s boundaries.

7. What is the worst mistake you've ever made in your polyamorous history and how did you rebound from that?

Not sure if this is really a polyamory mistake so much as it is a boundaries issue. A couple years ago, shortly after Falon and I were married, I had JUST started blogging about how non-monogamy worked for us when we became good friends with somebody we had met through our local LGBTQ+ community. Early on in the friendship, the three of us mutually masturbated together, but we were very explicit in expressing that we were not looking for a relationship of any kind and that the three-way ‘bating was just for fun and probably not a regular thing.

End of story, right?

Not so much. While Fal and I felt that we were very clear, and that our friend had understood, he instead doubled down. Over the months that followed, he ended up inserting himself into our relationship in a lot of invasive ways that on their own looked innocent enough, but when considered all at once were actually quite manipulative. Then one day he tries to show up at our house to talk with Falon, and when they said they weren’t feeling comfortable taking right now (he was being very pushy) he just forced the conversation anyway by professing his love to them. Oh, and me too, but only as an afterthought when Falon made it clear they were NOT interested.

Things went downhill from there really fast as we started to realize the real degree of his intrusiveness, complete with finding out he had been self-sabotaging opportunities for himself because he had this thought in his head that we’d all live up living together.

Anyway, it’s a long story overall but Fal and I learned a lot about what we were and weren’t comfortable with and set even cleared boundaries with others. That whole thing was bad enough that it almost turned us off from non-monogamy and polyamory altogether though. Luckily, we worked through it because several months after that gong show things started up with Kate, which has been amazing!

8. What self-identities are important to you? How do you feel like polyamory intersects with or affects those identities?

I am a fat, queer, non-binary, loud, foul-mouthed sex blogger with hairy tits, a girl cock, and a full-on fetish for actively subverting social roles and expectations… so of course I’m also polyamorous haha. Seriously though, over the last several years I’ve radically transformed myself as a person, to better reflect who I’ve always been but didn’t feel safe or confident being until my late twenties. I had to, because if I didn’t I was on the fast track to self-destruction [but that’s another story entirely].

Now, for the first time ever, I feel empowered to live my life as my authentic self and it turns out that a big part of that has included being polyamorous. Monogamy, at least in how it exists in our culture, has always felt incredibly restrictive, uncomfortable, and toxic to me personally; whereas falling in love with Falon and Kate, opening myself up to them both and forming our queer little polycule, has felt like the most natural thing in the world to me since I came out as queer and trans.

end of 2017 love post

as 2017 comes to a close and new opportunities and possibilities become available to us i just want to say how thankful i am for some things that have happened to me this year: [warning this is rly long under the cut if ur mentioned like…just save urself and scroll down if u read the whole thing ur a [hyungwon in fighter voice] champion champion]

i realized recently i got into mx about 6 months ago 🎉these past six months have been some of my happiest! i struggle with depression but it just seems like the monsters never let me stay down for too long, and especially i think loving them has made me a kinder and more loving person. i give that credit to all of them, but i think especially minhyuk and wonho, whose hearts are too big for their chests! minhyuk who centers love in his life and wonho whose love pours out of him no matter what he does. all of the monster men are exceptionally loving but i’ve mostly focused on them in this regard.

i’ve liked kpop since late 2013, so i’m sometimes regretful i didn’t get into mx earlier, however i rly do believe the universe does these things on purpose, and they came into my life when i needed them. up until now, i’ve never liked a group so much for their beautiful hearts alone. i always say even if i couldn’t stand their music i wouldn’t love them any less, but the thing is, with such lovely personalities they still make such incredible music which i still listen to each day. there’s genuinely not a song i dislike out of all of them, and they have a lot of songs! each member is so beautiful and talented and Necessary for monsta x to be a group, and their love for one another and friendship is really not only a huge part of their success and teamwork, but also something i find really inspiring.

being a monbebe is also incredibly rewarding and it’s really a very reciprocated loving relationship. when i think about how the monsters say not to skip meals and to eat well, that’s so important to me! they don’t know me personally, but i know as a mbb they’d always want the best for me.

so because of 6 months ago being when i got into them, that’s about when i started posting about them on here. i had this blog and posted but mx made me want to be on it All The Time. i use it more than my main now lmao. while using it i’ve made such wonderful friends!! i really cannot believe it. i said this to amy last night but i just think the universe brings people together when it’s the right time, and out of every path there is in life and how many little things affect the outcome, i feel so lucky that I’ve been blessed with great new friendships! i think the universe’s timing couldn’t have been better.

i hope all of my friends feel loved and cared for, warm in their hearts, free of excessive worry, and will be happy and healthy always! especially in the new year, but always. i think like this often and always send my love! i used to be embarrassed by saying these kinds of things but especially over this last year i think it’s best to love in abundance. my friends and monsta x have filled my heart with so much love it seems like it’ll burst, but it seems like my heart always accommodates to fit it all. she grows and adapts. Iconic. this post is already so long so if you’ve made it this far thank you lmao and you’re probably hoping it’s over now, but unfortunately i have too much to say, like always!

1. Nicknames: i don’t have a rly cool one :c although, i was called “nini” by my grandmother when i was young and some of my cousins kind of adapted it by calling me that name too, albeit only occasionally heh. only my grandmother uses it nowadays though ;;

Lucky number: I’ve never really determined, but 23 and 42 have always been great for me.

Instruments: this was in my blog description for a long time until I shortened it for my new desktop theme recently. I’m a music major, and I primarily play clarinet and saxophone (Tenor & Alto). Since I’m in the education program, I can barely play the rest of the instruments as well. In addition, I sing in choir (took private voice lessons for years), drummed on a church praise team, and took piano lessons for a while too (though I suck now lmao).

What am I wearing: ..uh just underwear and pants? It’s hot!

How many blankets do I sleep with: 2, a light sheet and a soft fuzzy one. I rarely have the soft fuzzy one on me though.

Dream Job: I used to think I knew (college music professor), but I’m not so sure anymore :((

Dream trip: A tour of Europe! If not that, a while in the Colorado Rockies <33
