Some of you guys need to start listening to music in a language you don't speak. And I don't mean kpop or jpop I mean like you need to find some obscure shit you don't understand and would never listen to otherwise - find music based on purely if you enjoy the sound and not what the song is about. A lot of people will do this nowadays with foreign cinema (which is also good and important) but people don't even think about foreign music. Find some slovenian pop. Find some spanish metal. Find some danish techno. There's a whole world out there I guarantee there is something for you.
Even better find music in a language you're learning, and just familiarise yourself with how it sounds. It can be hard to find foreign language music but i promise you youll be better off for it. You might even find your new favourite artist. Please just listen to something outside your native language please please please for the love of god expand your horizons
#this post is sponsored by the fact that some of my favourite artists are finnish and danish and i rarely know what theyre talking about#but i ADORE their music#i used to be very into jpop so ig its easier for me to intergrate music i dont understand into my tastes#but i PROMISE you its not that hard. it can be so fun finding new artists you might find your new favourite!!!!!!#music#mine#dumbbitchawards#goose's greatest hits
