Interview with the writers of that comic say it was to highlight how Prodigy is distancing himself from superhero and mutant stuff while Tommy was doing the opposite. Which is. Fine. I'm not salty at all that this has yet to be mentioned in the comic. Not fuming at all that an off-page breakup is how you handle the relationship that opened the first Marvel Pride comic, which also had the perfect shipname, and still needs to resolve the as of yet unsolved patri-not subplot.
