magnus is black star sapphire

merle is gaspeite

taako and lup are both pink tourmaline because they’re twins and i couldnt resist that good good reference to what the philosopher’s stone does

lucretia is alabaster

barry is hawk’s eye because it’s the closest a rock comes to looking like jeans

davenport is andesine

magic brian is purple fluorite 

jenkins is iris agate

sloane is black moonstone (she’s actually a half-gem in this au though)

kravitz is obsidian

the only gem in refuge is a corrupted (but unidentified) purple gem that destroys the town at the end of the time loop (purple worms kind of look like corrupted gems)

lydia and edward are both atacamite

as previously stated, the hunger is an army of black opals in varying degrees of corruption
