in which greyfell [tiefling] is in dire need of comfort and luka [goliath] provides as best he can.

at the tail end of yesterdays session, greyfell called luka up to his room with some things to confess regarding something that had come up in conversation earlier that day. explaining it properly would take a while but in short greyfell felt responsible for a thing that had fucked up luka’s life [and by butterfly effect, kacharias’s. which also fucked luka up further :’) ]. he felt particularly guilty as luka has been nothing but kind and caring to him and the rest of the group since joining & feels he’s been decieving luka this whole time.

he fully expected anger and disgust from luka in response to the confession, but luka could see in a heartbeat that the guilt was misplaced and not his to bear. he explained this, expressing that while he would love to have someone to punish for those things, greyfell wasn’t that person at all & it wouldn’t help anyone.  

greyfell [who had been choking up during his confession] started crying as luka told him it wasn’t his fault and that he didn’t blame him for anything that happened, and that greyfell shouldn’t let guilt for an action that wasn’t his own [and that he had no power to stop] crush him-- and by the end of it greyfell was just like,,, a sobbing mess bc he’s so unused to any form of kindness/forgiveness

cue a v important insight check to gage whether greyfell is the kind of person that would be comforted by a hug [rolled a 22. answer= yea. definitely. this poor fucker’s probably the most touch starved person on the planet]- so luka just pulled him close and held him for a while as he let it all just spill out. being hugged probs also made greyfell cry /more/ bc he’s maybe been hugged like 2 times in his life probably??

but yea. following that [as a result of it & of what has been a rough couple of days for both of them] neither of them really wanted to be alone, so luka offered to stay with him for the rest of the night. eventually this ended up with them spooning and sleeping soundly
