💭, a happy memory of Caden's?

A timeflower sitting in a pot opens, there's an older house seen from the windowsill where it sits, not too far away, as it transitions to playing the memory.

Two kids were sitting in the grass in front of the house, watched by a seemingly anxious Luxray with dark fur, speckled by blue and yellow nearby, watching the two children carefully from the porch, laying on a blanket with some other eggs nearby.

"So who's egg did you pick? Huh? Tell me tell me!"

"Midnight's! She's so pretty, and I like Luxray! What about you Ruru? What egg did you pick?" The white-haired boy, no older than ten peered at Rui's arms, where a brown egg sat in her lap, a large Jolteon with dark golden-tipped, and silver in some areas, with a bobbed tail relaxed, laughing from the same porch, where three eggs sat in an almost nest-like area.

The Vaporeon, also quite large, with impressively sized fins with curling edges grinned, seemingly proud of himself for making the Jolteon laugh.

"One of Electra and Booboo's eggs!"

"What kinda evo do you think you'll choose?"

"I'm letting the Eevee choose!"

"Alright you two, come on back, I know you both wanna watch the eggs hatch, But it's important that they're with their parents, and inside."

The children were both very disappointed, but reluctantly started heading back, while Masoic held the door open, helping them get the eggs back inside, though they still clung to the ones they'd chosen, albiet from spots nearly across the room, they still talked.

"I can hear them! Dad! I think they're gonna hatch soon! They're starting to sing!"

The red eyed boy across the room looked up, wide-eyed. "Really?! Are you sure!?"

The girl nodded excitedly, grinning.

The red-headed adult came in, Sigilla behind him, to check on the eggs, putting a hand on them and closing his eyes, before nodding. "You're right, but some of them will still take longer than others, so you might have to-"

Just then, some of the eggs on both sides started shining, as if to make a liar out of the breeder.

A while later, and only two eggs were left to hatch, Rui and Caden's, eggs, while shaking, were mostly motionless.

The Eevee egg shook, singing loudly enough to be heard by the timeflower, cracking, before hatching with a bright, shining glow, sparkling in the sunlight that came in through the window.

They both gasped at the absolutely tiny little Eevee, which Rui held for the parents to clean off, the fuzz shining silver, with more greyish skin, as opposed to the pink of the siblings.

"Do I get to name her? Or do you wanna name her, since she's your baby?"

The Jolteon smiled, nodding and reaching a paw up to boop the pinkette.

"Really? Thanks! Imma call her Tatha! Here ya go, I'll put her with the other babies now." Ruianna carefully put the Eevee she'd been holding down beside the other three, before moving over to Caden and the Luxray, who both gazed at the egg, worried that it hadn't hatched yet.

Masoic checked the egg, frowning, before standing up.

"Still nothing? That's concerning, you three keep an eye on it okay, I'll go get Nursie, Adalene! One of the eggs is taking a little extra time to hatch! Think you could bring Nursie in here? I'm a little worried, so I'd appreciate the help!"

The purple haired woman came rushing in, an Indeedee by her side, the Pokemon moving to check on the egg, seemingly perplexed, and definitely concerned.

Nursie moved to talk with the others, out of earshot as Caden looked down at the egg, frowning, starting to tear up a little.

"Come on little buddy, everyone wants to meet you... You've got us all worried, you okay in there?"

"He's singing. He sings like a strong Pokemon, but he seems a little, I dunno, tired? I don't have the words to properly describe it." Rui tilted her head, sitting beside Caden, who was sitting with crossed legs, holding the egg.

"How do you know it'll be a he?"

"I don't! I just guessed!"

"Maybe he needs a little bit of help? Didn't Sigilla say something about how some Pokemon have harder eggshells to break sometimes?"

"Maybe, I think she did, maybe his eggshell's too strong for him?"

The Luxray mewled, worriedly nudging the egg with her snout. She was basically pleading with the child, it was her first litter, she didn't want to lose a cub.

Caden remembered something his dad said about him. And he tapped the egg. He thought back to all the hospital visits, how worried his parents always were before his bones got strong.

"Hey, come on, you can't give up buddy. Your Mama's worried, I know it's hard work coming into the world, but hey, you've got help! I'm here, Nursie's here, my best friend Rui is here, your brother and sister are here, and your momma is too. You're not alone, come on."

"Yeah! You can do it! I know you're strong, I can feel it! Come on, just a little more!"

The Luxray and the Indeedee both looked at the two, as they tried to encourage the egg, the mother hopeful, and the nurse skeptical.

Caden didn't care, he hugged the egg.

"Come on little buddy, I know it's hard, but if you can just crack the shell, we'll be able to help you get out! Think you can try and do that for us? Find the weakest part and make a crack?"

The egg shook, and Rui lit up, grinning. "He heard you! Look! He's trying to do it! Go little Shinx! You can do it! We know you can!"

Caden tapped a couple spots on the egg, before finding a part that felt a little different. "Come on, you're almost there, just a little more!"

There was a cracking sound, and Caden reacted quickly, borrowing one of the Luxray's paws, pushing on one toe and putting it in the crack gently, helping it widen just a little.

The egg cracked more, and this time Caden used a hand to push at the crack, managing to get a tiny piece of eggshell out, adjusting the egg so he could help more.

Masoic looked over, "What are you two doing?!" He seemed concerned, but his wife grabbed his hand. "Zoic, hold on, watch em, maybe you'll learn something new?"

Caden kept digging at the cracks as the egg glowed brighter, shaking more before finally, there was a tiny mewl, and a tiny, pure black Shinx lay in his lap, mewling loudly.

"That's a big voice for such a tiny Shinx Cub."

Caden smiled, picking up the little cub. "I knew you could do it! See? Good job little guy!" He giggled, grinning, before blinking as he felt a rough tongue on his face.

"Hey! You're supposed to lick your baby not me!"

"Aren't you gonna name him?"

"Huh? Oh, right. Imma call 'im Lucky! Cause he's a black cat, and everyone thinks they're bad luck, but this guy's good luck!"

I literally can’t stand the connections between Taylor’s songs and Harry anymore on genius, but here we go. My god I don’t know 2/4 of this album. It’s... Hansol and Chan-u, now that I remembered of them I simply won’t forget.
