i just thinking about when zack and zarek are little, 5 yrs old to be more specific, and theyre mom is in her final trimester w kuraine. she sits w her boys and zarek is all interested in listening to her talk about the baby sister inside her, how she’s coming soon. he loves touching her belly and knowing theres a little life inside. then there’s zack, who doesnt stick around to listen, he gets into things so mommy will stop talking about this sister hes going to have. no one even asked him if he wanted another sibling. he just wants to be noticed. and on the final day, kuraine’s birthday, the twins sit in their mother’s lap, listening to her talk before they have to leave her for a bit and she can have their sister. zarek is starry eyed and eager, so excited. and zack sits on her other side, arms crossed, pouting w those stubborn tears in his eyes.

mom: zack, sweetie, whats wrong? arent u excited?

zack: no.

mom: hm?

zack: dont want a sister. just want to play.

mom: *smiles cause she expected this from one of them* but u can play. and w a sister, when she’s bigger, u can play w her too.

zack: *his little mind is blown* play.. w her.. *looks at zarek and woah.. someone new who hasnt been w him his whole life...* zarek cant.

zarek: hey! >:C my sister too!

and their dad leads them down the hall, the two yelling who’s gonna love their new sister more.

zarek ends up being protective of her, trying to keep her out of trouble bc ...someone... and zack has someone he can help prank zarek with. no wonder poor zarek lives a stressed life, he knows nothing else. if he isn’t stressed, something is Wrong.

then a handful of years later, they all get to deal w a new sibling entering their family when sora comes along.
