Keeping your childhood wonder and whimsy into adulthood is not something that passively happens and you do have to work for it. It's easier if you have a certain mindset, but you have to be intentional about staring society down and refusing to give in to social pressure. Creating joy is rewarding, but you have to put in some effort to actually create it.

#ive been so busy studying for exams that i almost didnt make a halloween costume #which is very depressing because i love halloween and ive never gone a year without a costume #i threw together a closet costume last night and im very glad i did #i consider this a win #do what makes your child self happy #everything takes effort #but i think this is something thats worth it #whimsy #this has been a psa
