the more i learn about lassie in this show the more incredible of a character he is. he was raised by an absent father, a closeted lesbian, and (weekends exclusively) a man who spends his entire life enthusiastically larping as an old west sheriff. honestly as ways to be weird go lassie could be a LOT stranger . i'm surprised he even lives and works in the regular world and hasn't just spent his entire career larping as the old west deputy
