i saw Jesus Christ Superstar for the first time the other day and while I had a bit of a hard time following the plot i do have to say i really relate to jesus having a full on panic attack about being crowded and grabbed by random peoples like yeah buddy same

#i find it hilarious the mary magdalene has like. full on two songs that amount to ''hey buddy let's get you into a quiet corner #so you can have a calm down and a bit of a nap mkay?''#i think the temple is my favourite song has a phenomenal energy #but man.... VERY hard to follow if you don't already know the general story #maybe it's easier if you're not seeing it live and have lyrics to help #like the songs were banger after banger... strung together with the barest plot #but i probably shouldn't have expected anything different from the man who create cats #also really enjoyed the song about the judge basically saying ''IF YOU WANT ME TO KILL HIM YOU GOTTA ACTUALLY GIVE ME A CRIME GUYS''#the production i saw did it very well they captured a really interesting energy #anyway i'm glad i finally saw it so you guys get to hear my ramblings about it while i relisten to the sound track #and try to figure out what the words are actually saying #jesus christ superstar #musicals #andrew lloyd webber #doodles
