I like when a post is complaining about some fandom phenomenon and you just know if you open thhe reblogs people will be talking about mouthwashing
#tbh i think its just that it got so big and it happeed so fast thhats why its so crazy#t kind of makes me feel bad because the game itself is pretty great ad theres a lot of cool fanwork for it but π'#talk#idk its so weird i have a couple thoughts on mw getting so popular and chewed up#i guess the bigger a fandom gets the more uhh... the more ideas just kind of get passed around as the correct way of looking at stuff#And tropes and archetypes and shit#and of course the type of fan who doesnt actually read or play or watch the og source material and just gets their knowledge from other fan#π#actually that might be the worst part . whene verybody is just playing telephone#but tbh im absolutely not the type of person to think its like OFFENSIVE or WRONG for there to be a fandom#or fanart or shipping or whatever i guess#its also inevitable in a way like... theres always a non 0 chance if you put something out in the world there will be a group of some size#who will post about it and make stuff for it... and at least for shipping i KNOW if you tell people to quit it itll have the opposite effec#anyway π almost nothing you can do about that but avoid and block people#buuut i also think the shallow readings/analysis is really annoying. and that is pretty common in fandoms esp in the shipping department#like u can def see people sanding down characters to one note stereotypes to shove into relationships together π and with mw its difficult#not to because the story and environment makes it pretty hard for any of them to seem like a viable couple LOL#even like captain and the nurse cuz my partner and i have them as our faves respectively i have to admit you have to ignore so much if#youre aiming for a >healthy< couple#IDKKKKKK IDK I like the game! i like te chharacters!!!! its te first time in so long i got into something that wasnt an interest from middl#shcool or my own ocs so........#its good ππ#i think thats why im sooooooo............ at how its becoming one of the Red Flag interests
