i think ive mentioned briefly in the tags of some posts but idk if ive ever explicitly said it yet: i think foyet definitely sexually assualted hotch in his apartment. i think foyet stripping down and talking ab how profilers say that stabbing is a substitute for sex, that it means they're impotent, then whispering "maybe this will change the way you profile" before slipping the knife in again and hotch just kind of grunting as his hands curl... like.. thats a pretty clear implication imo

i obviously dont think they had a romantic relationship or a consensual sexual one.

but. i think it would be tragically fucked up if hotch kept having recurring sex dreams involving foyet. like it would just flash in his mind and he wouldnt be able to shake the images out of his head. idk just struggling to cope with that and how powerless it made him and how weak it left him. he felt so vulnerable in front of the team that he's tried maintaining so much composure around. maybe some really unpleasant masturbation that just makes him feel horrible afterwards. i think they get a little easier once foyet is dead, if only because he felt a little retribution for what happened to him in his apartment. but i think maybe the dreams started including haley and thats just when he cant sleep at all in the immediate aftermath. i think recovery is a little easier this time around if only because he has to keep himself together for jack. and i firmly believe that if he wasnt responsible for a child he wouldve just killed himself jaskdhl but maybe thats just me projecting having jack around and jessica constantly in and out just makes it a little easier to avoid isolating himself, so he's kind of forced out of that depression in a way. and, as much as he hates to admit it or maybe as much as he thinks he doesnt deserve it, having people around definitely helps him
