Unfortunately I think Tsuyu would suffer from that disease of “people don’t know how to properly discuss female characters and what they like about them so they default to wife, girl boss, or mommy” and then when you ask them for something deeper they just hit you with the “she’s so queen”

I think this is unfortunately a common thing for female characters who do not fit the highly traditional feminine mold / unabashedly confident with themselves, sadly. And while it's mostly fine in a flippant, tongue-in-cheek sense to me as the author ((G)I-DLE's Queencard song and 'queen never cry' meme come to mind as an example), it's also important to discuss her in more than surface level behavior too. I can't really blame the fandom for simplifying it to "queen behavior" because well, it is the fandom sphere (honestly we can't expect much from any fandom tbh). But when discussing about her as a character, she definitely couldn't be summed in just "queen"... Unlike the idealized image of a "queen", she's full of imperfections, and that's what makes her intriguing and close to a human (despite not really being one) as a character... yknow.
