due to existing Shadow Knight canon, namely not aging, i refuse to believe the idea that Zenix was a shadow knight the *whole* time he was with Garroth, since Garroth raised him and watched him grow up. rather i prefer the idea that Zenix died *while in garroth's care* maybe he got lost in the woods, wandering too far since they hadn't had the "if you get lost, stay where you are" talk, since it seemed like a given. it took days to find him but he wasnt the same, because the wolves or cold got to him first. everyone noticed, but they assumed Garroth didnt since he was just so happy to see his son again. Garroth noticed, he always does.
