How do you think gepard deals with burnout and compassion fatigue? He doesn't seem like he gets much rest and he doesn't seem like a drinker

honestly i think he like. DOESNT deal w burnout at all. i mean he absolutely gets burnt out but he just takes it to mean he needs to invest himself into his job More. like he very much thinks that he cant afford to get burnt out or be exhausted and to feel such is selfish, because he has a job to do a city to protect and any exhaustion or fatigue he feels he pushes aside. his own state of being is secondary and hes too selfless to ease up on the job or take any time off beyond what is mandated.

i imagine the closest he'd get to handling stress is like... his plants at home. they keep dying because he is not home often at all and cant seem to take care of them properly but he enjoys it and can actually relax when hes tending to them or repotting the ones that survive. or when he has to sketch out wanted posters if no one else is able to, he lets himself relax with drawing those portraits because well he IS still doing his job. Oh or spending time with his sisters, usually serval pulling him out his home and dragging him to their concerts and practices, or they just have dinner together and relax. i imagine that didnt happen much before the stellaron was sealed when him and serval werent as open with each other but now theyre much more. laid back together.

i havent thought bout him having compassion fatigue tho n like...... damn . damn. i imagine hes probably gotten horribly desensitized to the injuries and deaths of his soldiers specifically like having his comrades get hurt constantly just becomes par for the course. idk how hed deal w it either i imagine he'd lean towards becoming more... obsessive over protecting people? like he feels guilt for not 'caring enough' and overcorrects by becoming too protective. his guards know somethings up with him when he starts becoming overtly caring, worrying about every injury, not resting or eating until everyone he oversees is, etc. dude needs therapy
