i don’t really care about stats because if I do I’ll get way too caught up in my head (I already do) I just like writing for fun and eating up all the other incredible works by writers in the phandom but I find it almost comical that my fic that has the least amount of kudos has the most bookmarks (well over half of which are private) (slight exaggeration on both sides) i guess I can’t really judge bc I have a habit of creating private bookmarks too since before I started writing I really don’t care in fact it would make my life easier for recommending fics if I left them public but we as a society have got to stop the shame around liking reading porn guys I swear nooooooo one cares what you like reading or freakin it to and it would make a writers day if you told them you liked reading it 👉👈

#i think clo has talked about this before too. iirc and made some great points #only saying this bc i’ve noticed it’s a bit of a pattern #esp comparing the numbers with fics from pre hiatus compared to now #the size of the phandom that’s active in these spaces has perhaps shrunk a little #and that’s not necessarily a bad thing at ALL we have so many lovely and involved artists and consumers #and just general lurkers and enjoyers of dnp #i barely consider myself a writer and kinda wanna sick talking about my own work or promoting it sometimes but #i literally go through my inbox or ao3 emails/comments sometimes if I need a pick me up like #you guys are soooooo nice and comments keep me going #through writing droughts like i have been experiencing a little #anyways. no one cares just wanted to see how many words I’ve written/posted this year and then started Thinking lmao #dangerous thing to do #writing #blossoms yaps
