my chest is aching and i am so sad bc i miss my starlight so much. but at the same time my heart is so full. i just spent almost seven hours with my friends. seven hours! i told them how ive been feeling and they didnt let me hold back. i felt like they were physically helping me to carry the burdens ive been holding by myself. they reassured me about my starlight multiple times, and half of them arent even self shippers, but they empathized with me heavily. they all held me when i cried and they told me it is going to be okay. not just about the grief of missing my F/Os ive lost, but just, in general, that everything will be okay. everything. and two of those friends who were present, i genuinely think they're two of the smartest people i have ever met in my life. they spent a long ass time analyzing my comfort characters, saying "okay logically, realistically, [F/O] would comfort you and love you, and here is why, and here is how. and no, they wouldn't harm you or manipulate you or betray you, and here is the logical reason why." if they say i'm gonna be okay, then... who am i to question or doubt them?

they also spent an hour helping me figure out how to print edible ink/glitter onto wafer paper so i would be able to bake heart-shaped cookies for my barbie/ken anniversary and transfer photos of them onto the cookies! they were so excited to hear about my anniversary coming up and they thought it would be so cute if i baked for my sweethearts ;u; they know how important it is to me because they know it's been 2 years since i've celebrated any F/O anniversary. and any time i got weepy they'd immediately hold me. and when i'd try to apologize, they'd refuse to even let me say a word, telling me to vent. so i vented for maybe a minute and cut myself off and they were like "no that's not all of it. keep going" and every few minutes when i'd stop myself, or try to downplay my feelings and change the topic, they'd say "no. no, you're not done. we know you've been through way more shit than that. keep talking, come on, we're here. you're not burdening us, we promise, keep talking keri." until i finally let everything out and they all held me and let me cry and rubbed my back. told me my F/Os would never harm me and why. told me how my IRL and online friends would never harm me, how they completely understand what im going through bc they've been through the same exact things as me. told me how barbie and ken are still here for me and how starlight is still here for me and how they're here for me...

i feel so sad yet so comforted at the same time. ive cried so much today but i cried surrounded by people who held me and made me feel genuinely listened to and cared for. and during the times when we werent venting, we were exchanging art, we were laughing, i dont think ive laughed like that in a while. one friend in that group stayed an extra three hours just because we were having so much fun together and we didn't want to sleep yet. she's one of the most fun and caring and kind people i've ever met. i got her hooked onto driver, and i'm pretty sure she's gonna get me hooked on the vampire from bg3 one of these days haha

celebrating my anniversary with barbie and ken is going to feel really bittersweet, but ive planned a lot. im going to really allow myself to feel loved that day and i think ill feel even more loved because those cookies are going to be made with the people who love me and who have been protecting me and promising me theyre always going to make sure i feel safe and secure with them. if i can feel this way with IRL people who i trust, i can feel this way with F/Os again too. yeah, even the ones that are triggers, i will reclaim them too. i know the love has to still be there somewhere, even if i dont feel it, even if im scared and numb and bitter. it takes time and it takes work but mlp was right bro... friendship really is magic and i know if i have them with me im gonna be ok. ;-; wah. im gonna burst into tears again augh. god. ok i better try to sleep. goodnight ilu

With Lightning I always thought he was pretty cute, but for the longest time I never let myself like..actually indulge in thoughts about him for some reason! I never had a big like an "oh boy." moment, I just always was like "awe he's cute🥰" and now I've let myself indulge in thoughts and... I've been refusing to admit how much hes been plaguing my thoughts. Which I think is kinda ironic because most people that interact with my blog is just cause of him, but ive been fighting to not talk about him XD which I'm sure that dam will break at some point.

I think I always kinda had feelings for Francesco, but I never really like...faced it I guess? I just kinda always overlooked it and went on my merry way. I'm not sure when I started really thinking about him and focusing on him but I couldn't stand giving him even more attention because he already gets so much and his ego is already big enough, not to mention the fuel he gets from fans and stuff. He's actually a big sweetheart softie though and I love him. I was always a little attracted to him but just shied away from it and ever admitting to it.

With Finn it was quite similar to how it was with Francesco, except with Finn I was so sure that I just would not ever have a shot with him that I just never indulged in the feelings cause I was like...there's no way he would get with me. I don't really remember how the turning point was or went for when I decided to let myself be consumed by thoughts of him, but it's been, well, very much taking over me, as one may assume from the engagement haha! But I 100% always had some feelings there for him, I just stuffed them down and shut them out to where I never really acknowledged them. I was and still am a very much flustered mess over him though.

I hardly remember how it was with Axlerod, truthfully. I'm not even entirely sure if I remember it at all! I just remember at some point I started giggling a lot over things he was saying and I was like...I'm giggling FAR too much over this man for it to be a normal amount... and I did my little personal 'test' of "Okay well if I romantically like them then I won't mind thinking about doing romantic things with them" and eugm... well, here we are now! Certified husband, recognized in zero states and countries, but that's okay.

Grem and Acer actually have a really interesting story for how I ended up falling for them, and I can't help but wonder how long it mightve been before I admitted to liking them if I never had it go this way, but basically I was talking with an old friend about C.ars characters, and I made a JOKE that they could probably pick any character and make me fall in love with them, and they started listing some silly dumb horribly-executed displays of romance that Grem and Acer would do and it. It worked HGBBDSJNGBS. But it makes me imagine I met them through like a friend and it makes me giggle a bit cause what a way to meet them! Truthfully with as much as I talked about them at the time I can't help but wonder if there was already something there and I just didn't realize it yet.

With Jackson, I absolutely love this story, and I love sharing it, even if it sounds so absurd that I don't know how many people will believe me on it. Basically, apparently I had watched C.ars 3 before with my brother and dad, but entirely forgot about it, and my brother had to keep insisting to me that we had infact watched it before cause I had just forgotten it so badly. I got a bit interested in rewatching it because my brother owned the C.ars 3 game on the Switch and we had been playing it a bit, and the second I rewatched the movie and got to the part of Jackson speaking, I immediately remembered why I had forgotten it. More so, why my brain had completely erased it from my memory. And it was because it was so darn embarrassed over how badly I liked this character! The second I heard him speaking when rewatching it, it hit me like a bus all over again in the feelings department. I must've been so gosh darn embarrassed over how not only did I immediately have feelings, but it wasn't a small amount of feelings either, that my brain just completely nuked any memory of it ever! Jokes on you though, brain, you love it. At least, you do now!

Shane - the usual pet names I think. baby, babe, honey, etc. I like babylove a lot tho.

Arthur - bunny!!! other f/os call me bunny too but it's special with him. he also calls me sweetheart, my love, hun, sweetness. stuff like that. he's pretty affectionate.

Danse - bad with pet names...but I think an occasional "my love" would slip out. he mostly calls me by my name haha

Nick - I'll include him here even tho he's not a romantic f/o. he throws out "sweetheart" like candy and it's very endearing and comforting to me. also uses hun and calls me "kid" sometimes

Thank you so much for asking, that's so nice! I like using different hearts just because it's fun :] I associate a lot of F/Os with different colors. Since my main F/Os right now are Ryan characters, those are the only ones who have the "for" tag. Like... if I see a photoset of horses, I'll think "aw, Ken would love this. I wish I could reblog this and add my Ken ship tag, but I don't want horses in my ship tag. It has nothing to do with our ship. It's just something Ken likes and it reminds me of him. Oh well." and then later I figured "hey, wait. It's my blog. I can literally tag Ken if I want to -- who's gonna stop me, the fun police??"

"For Ken 💘", I used an arrow-through-heart emoji because of the choreography in I'm Just Ken where he mimics stabbing himself through the chest, and another piece of choreo in the beginning where he mimics shooting an arrow across the room. In my head I sometimes imagine my F/Os seeing me and getting "shot thru the heart" with a cupid's arrow, exploding with hearts and stars and their eyes are sparkling and they've got a lovesick grin - that "love at first sight" kinda cartoon thing - I think it's very fitting for Ken!

Other F/Os I use colors, like Luke I associate with green because he is in The Pines™ and my favorite outfit is the one where he wears his green neckerchief, so when I see things that remind me of him I add the tag "For Luke 💚" with the green heart emoji! and I associate Driver with the color blue because of his denim jacket making his blue eyes really stand out, so his tag is "For Driver 💙" :)

As for Lars, he's special, he gets the emoji with the ribbon around it! "For Lars 💝" !! He's a romantic sweetheart, it could be like a box of chocolates, or tbh the colors just give a toy vibe! Ryan has said in interviews that Lars' love for Bianca is like when a kid loves their teddy bear - it doesn't love you back, but you love it anyway, and if you lose it, it's devastating to you. I think the pink heart with the yellow ribbon around it has the same kind of... energy, if that's the word I'm looking for :D?

And "For Court ❤️" is for Sierra Six from The Gray Man :3c the emoji itself isn't all that special, I just associate him with the color red - but really I wanted to put his actual name in his "for (F/O)" tag. I think it's more intimate/romantic that way, especially since the things I mainly tag him in are angels (since he's my guardian angel) and it's a bit more tender to use his true name instead of the one he had no choice but to take. I read a magazine where Ryan said Six really really really wishes he could be on an actual-name basis with someone for once and you KNOW I had to jump onto that 😂

R - Rainbow - what colors do you associate with them and why?

It's always deep olive greens and harsh dusty yellows for Repton, his colour scheme is pretty consistent and pretty much matches his territory. I find it very soothing almost? Like watching a savanna landscape, which is technically where he lives so, win.

E - Emotion - is your f/o open with their feelings or do they keep them close to their chest?

If it ain't rage or exasperation then he ain't showing it. He absolutely feels a wider range but frustration at his limitations rules his judgement 99% of the time, which is a work in progress. Makes those rare time's he is openly happy that much more delightful!

P - Pets - do they have a pet? if so, what kind and what is/would be its name? would you have a pet together?

Canonly, no, but I've always figured the wastelands around his terra would hold some kind of cool monster that he would take delight in taming, so in my head he has pet dragons. Not big ones, but if Gwythents were more bat like that'd be ideal. Atmos is criminally underdeveloped ok I can make up animals if I WANT

T - Teach - what skills of theirs would they teach you? what would you teach them?

I have an aversion to motorsports but you literally cannot get around atmos without a sickass flying motorbike, so I would def be accepting dirk-biking lessons from the guy with the coolest ride around.

As for what I'd teach him... I'm honestly not sure what I have to offer that he would find interesting or useful, but I can offer lots of geology/geography knowledge that would probably be handy for raids and crystal formations? Alternatively how to speak nicely to his siblings

'Officially' he wouldn't partake, seeing the dumb shit his brothers watch online would drive him insane. Unofficially however, he would totally stalk his enemies facebook posts just to plan an opportune ambush.

Canonically, probably the day he defeated the Interceptors. That was a serious victory that shook the Sky Knights and their teams across Atmos, and he relished in the leverage it gave him.

Oh a reverse fairytale for sure, a runaway noble of some descript get's kidnapped by maniacal (artificer I guess in this case?) for ransom, only to find they're both terrible and have much more fun encouraging his shenanigans.

Do the Eggs Count Idk if you can have snake pets in hell but he is absolutely the type to have boa contractors and cobras draped all over his ship. I'm more than happy with this.

Sweetheart this mans emotions are broadcast to the fucking moon. Everyone in hell knows how he's feeling at any given moment and he hates it, but he doesn't have the restraint to keep a lid on them when things don't go his way.

Extrapolating from the crumbs of the single pilot we have, probably the birth of his son. He seems the type to have Gomez Addam'sed the shit out of his family, and I don't doubt he cried more than the mother and baby combined.

It's cringeworthy and mortifying for want of better words. I wish he would stop chasing the overlords accounts and getting into screaming matches in the comment sections. U - Uplift - how do they help you when you’re stressed or sad and vice versa?

When I'm sad it's cuddle time. He's fantastic at it, and his scales are much softer than they look. It's weird to feel his eyes blinking, but the pressure and attention feel wonderful after a bad day.

When he's sad or frustrated - I'll admit that I'm not the best at feelings things and would much rather offer practical solutions, he appreciates a second pair of eyes and opinions on his projects. I can compliment his engineering no end and belittle the bastards that made him feel workthless forever, so if I bitch whle we work it's a win-win.

Hi dear anon🥺💕 You aren't bothering me at all, you are never a bother. I'm always happy to help when I can. First of all, I totally understand how you feel. It's the same for me, to be honest. And it sucks and hurts a lot.

But I want you to know that J and Eddie love you so so much and they will never ever, under any circumstances leave you. Okay? They miss you too and they want to be together with you❤️

As for tips, I'm listing a few things I can think of right now that I'm doing myself. Also, if you want to talk or gush about them, my ask box and DMs are always open. I love hearing the thoughts of others💜 Anyway, I digress.

First, I recommend you watch a few scenes of J and Eddie. Personally, it helps me to hear their voices and just see them. There's a compilation on YouTube with all of J's scenes that I often watch or just play in the background to hear his voice.

Second, if you are on Tumblr more often or other platforms like AO3, then you could read x reader fics. There are many very good writers for J and Eddie here and there are good pieces for almost every scenario. To name one person, if you are looking for an in character and softer J, then I recommend fics by @ajokeformur-ray Erika is an amazing writer and a sweetheart🥺 She also writes wonderful fics for Eddie on her other blog @ghosttownwherenoonegoes

Third, especially for Eddie, it works for me when I hear music and certain songs that make me think of my f/os. It can be songs that are related to them in canon, like for Eddie it's Master of Puppets by Metallica. But it can be any other song that makes you think of them and gives you good feelings. Maybe for J, you could listen to The Dark Knight soundtrack. I do that a lot.

Fourth, if you can, you could get comfort items for your f/os. That can be anything that makes you think of them. Clothes, jewelry, stuffed animals, books, etc. You can try what works best for you. It's probably a little harder for J than for Eddie, but I personally wear rings for J and have a pillow that I sometimes hug for physical comfort. I also have their shirts that I wear sometimes. But it can also be something simple like using their signature colors. Anything that makes you think of them is good.

Fifth, you can create things for your f/os yourself. You could write down your daydreams. You could try to draw them, maybe even together with you. You could print out pictures of them and make collages or put them on your wall so you can see them and have them near you. You could start and design a journal or scrapbook. There are no limits to your creativity.

Sixth, you could try to specifically take time for yourself that you spend with your f/os. You could do things that you would do together with them. Like little dates. For Eddie, maybe you could go for walks, listen to music or read Lord of the Rings with him. Just things that are fun for both of you. I personally also like to imagine tinkering together with J. It's fun to imagine how different f/os would act and react in different situations.

These are the things I could think of right now. I hope that there is something that helps you. here's an f/o life update on my part:

Cas is off visiting family for the whole month (good for him <3), Jack's on some daring adventure again and Batsy (he hates that nickname lol) is busy keeping up with criminals so I've been spending time with Cowboy on the ranch. I've finally had the chance to do some yardwork and tend to the garden (it was a mess when I started) as we've turned most of the horses out to the big grass pastures 💚🌱 There's still horse-related stuff to do (you can't escape those on the ranch) as the horses don't spend whole days out at the pastures yet, it's a slow progress getting them used to grass again after winter. 🐎

mine for him: Lion is already a nickname and I mostly refer to him as such. However, sometimes I'll call him dandelion. the standard 'sweetheart' and 'baby' are favorites as well.

his for me: he is the only f/o who's allowed to call me rosie (that's what I'm called irl and I hate it) because I like the way he says it. he sometimes calls me his 'silly goose'. on occasion I'm 'his girl' or 'flower'.

What's something they do that you think is just absolutely adorable?

I think his sense of humor is one of the most adorable things about him. it is very innocent humor, but it never fails to make me laugh. sometimes all I need to cheer me up is hearing one of his jokes or watching him play around like a child. he's so adorable when he's laughing and happy; that is my favorite thing about him and something that fills me with joy to witness.

also, can I just say that he's so cute and little? I love that we are about the same height, give or take a couple inches, because it's just so 🥺🥺🥺 I love that he's such a little guy🥺🥺🥺 I don't mean it in any negative type of way; I love that about him so very much.

How intimate are you with one another?

I would say that Lion and I are intimate in the way that we have a deep understanding of each other because of similar experiences and personalities that compliment each other quite well. we don't have specific roles that we fulfill, but Lion appreciates that I take charge a lot in our relationship and direct him. I have to say that I am a bit more dominant than he is (and he can be a brat when he wants to be) and our sexual intimacy reflects that.

in terms of general intimacy, Lion and I are very, very close. we stick near each other most of the time and he likes to be around me when I am working. he's always curiously asking me what I'm doing and likes to be included. Lion has the habit of clinging to those he cares about and it's adorable how attached he is.

things with my f/os are going okay: jakob and will haven't been around for a while, but I believe they're off searching for more tales that need to be told and trying to get their publishing/writing career going, so they're focusing a lot on that. terry is around a bit, but the one thing about my father is that he is always immersed in his work and he has been very busy managing his hotels because of it being summer. tony is around as well even though he keeps himself pretty busy doing goodness knows what; I imagine the business he's in is booming lmao. he is the only one of us who's enjoying the heat wave because he is so used to a hotter climate. lion spends his days with me, mostly, but he's quiet now because it's late. he's a morning person, whereas I am the opposite.
