#Mel rambles#vent#just learnt that my one american colleague voted for trump#and it sucks because i do get along with her even if I've been aware for a while that she's probably a conservative christian#which is why i've always kept some kind of distance with her despite acting friendly#it's not like I can stop being friendly to her. she's the one who got me my position change and on a personal level she's very nice#but damn does she have a completly warped vision of reality to have these political views#i suspect most of my french colleagues are far from leftists too tho#it's one of the reasons I want to change companies#i'm tired to clench my teeth when i hear people chat#it's never too much you know. just some 'dark humor' about some minority that is a quick enough comment i can't say anything#or talking about economy in a way that makes me want to shake them and ask them if they realise the impact it has on the environment#anyway. clenching my teeth. there's no point in arguing with anyone about this now#i'd just sabotage my worklife without changing anyone's mind#i need that job money to save up to buy an old farm house and set up a green commune with my friends
