I always regret ranting because I always wish I spent more time to be coherent. So if you ever read my unhinged Fyodor ranting please understand when I use the word "sin" and "sinful" that I don't mean "something bad" and that is it. I mean it in the "actions that cause us separation from God and thus cause human suffering" vain. That is why I think he is actually empathetic. Because his belief is that he is ridding the world of something that is in his eyes causing immense suffering for humanity. Yes he is egotistical and thinks everyone else is stupid and just can't see it, and that he has to be the one save them from this they just don't understand. But still.
