#i still think malhare is cool

It's now been a few days since SB Ruin released, and I've calmed down some and actually started noticing things and using my head.

So, here's an update.

(spoilers ahead)

Cassie throughout the game acts as a foil to Gregory from the base game, which makes her character really fascinating. By a foil, I mean she really loves these animatronics (except for Monty and the Music Men Army). She tries her best to fix and help the animatronics she's attached to, like Sun/Moon/Eclipse, Chica, and Roxanne. This is in direct opposition to Gregory destroying them. And the foil really shows during the elevator ending.

Speaking of the elevator ending, I'm unsure if that was directly Gregory's doing or someone acting as Gregory. The vocal clipping and editing that is demonstrated in the game shows that it's entirely possible that someone acted as Gregory once again and cut the elevator lines. But we didn't hear Gregory call to Cassie through the walkie-talkie after the credits though, we heard Roxanne.

In the game files, the 'monster in the basement' is apparently called the Grimic (supposedly a mash of Gregory-Mimic, just like how Vanny is a mash of Vanessa and Bunny.) And now that I know the actual purpose of the Mimic, its addition makes sense to the story. But the thing that I'm worried about is that Fazbear Entertainment is trying to get to it. Fazbear Entertainment created the AR system for navigating the ruined Pizza Plex, Helpi, and these Faz-Wrench systems. The AR system is specially designed to find these security nodes that are keeping the Mimic locked up from being found.

These systems were quite possibly made by Vanessa, Gregory, Freddy (??), and I think Malhare was involved as well, kind of to enforce security (unless Malhare is Vanessa's own design and Glitchtrap was eradicated at the Princess Quest ending of Security Breach. But this 'extra security protocol' can set up its own connection ports??). Whatever the Mimic's potential/power level/design/purpose is, Gregory and Vanessa do not want to let it out. At any cost.

And there could be the possibility of a hivemind (although I'm not sure since it was information that I skimmed through) and I don't know if that means multiple Mimics or that the Mimic can take control of other android technology. (If anyone has that information, I would love to have it!)

Then comes the question of who would want to have the Mimic? Fazbear Entertainment corporate executives most likely, but that thing has been down there for ages. Who knows that it's down there?

(headcanon tangent time)

My favorite headcanon is that it's Henry because if he was in the deepest part of the basement, he could've easily escaped through the tunnels and blocked off the hole to prevent anyone else from leaving. Going up the elevator, waiting for the fire to calm down to collect the machinery he specifically made sure Michael didn't destroy during testing, despite knowing that the fire would happen, to give to the people making the VR game.

Including the bits of machinery in Scraptrap that would lead to the creation of Glitchtrap.

I like to think of him as a bit of greedy business man. And it would make the FNAF story really interesting (for me at least) if Henry is kind of the ultimate bad guy of the whole story, not because he's bad but I love morally gray characters and I think they have really good uses for telling complex stories.

There could be multiple different answers that belong to separate people, and that's respectable! But this answer is my personal favorite.

I did enjoy Ruin though, especially for the sake of now the characters are a lot more plot relevant to the story, and the more sci-fi FNAF gets, the more I wonder about the potential for perhaps a time travel based game, I think that would be kind of cool because I really enjoy those AUs. Not to mention a backstory is the thing I really want from this franchise.

If now with the power of AR technology, a person can walk through objects and teleport, the next step is obviously time travel (I'm half joking, but seriously, you can walk through objects in this game and teleport, that's a little nuts if I think about it).

-I redrew em again because I think I'm almost 100% happy with its design!!!! Like I don't wanna change their face so much because the way his face is shaped is my fave!!! Like they have the same style of muzzle as sonic characters!!!!!! I just made it rounder cuz its their early days before this au lore

-I just wanna achieve the unnaturalness with their design. Like they don't belong here. They want to get out. LET HIM OUT. type vibe basically like that's why it has like those kind off teeth instead off the rabbit ones. They get those later in the au.

-I fucking love Glitchtrap so much you don't understand they're so peak!!!!!! I jokingly hate him because I despise what it did to Vanny.

-I was a fan since day 1 bro is just so unique like woah a non animatronic for a change?!?!? STRAIGHT UP A FURSUIT!??!?! Color me impressed!!! I love zooming on it its model and seeing everyy little detail!!! Like omg bro is crying and drooling on the suit!!!!! There's also a patch of uneven stitching pattern on the top of their head compared to their mostly symmetrical design!!!

-I was so fixated on em like my level of obsession for him was bad bad!!!! Like yeah it was still there when Vanny came around during the curse of Dreadbear DLC but you don't understand it surpassed all my Foxy art!!! The first fnaf character I fixated on!?!?? Like what and yall can ask my IRLS bro had lots n lots of art!!!!! I have so much trad art of glitchy it's embarassing!!! Atleast I improved tbh!!

-I just really really loved the fan animations were bro got to time travel to the older fnaf animations and fuck em up!!!! Causing them all to glitch out like hello PEAK!?!?!?! No im not biased to rabbit characters with whiskers shhhhh... SHHH...

-Because I know all those animations already and it's like omg omg OMG Glitchtrap kinda expanded my music taste imma be fr... Fnaf autism is so bad I omfg I only listened to fnaf songs and the only time I listened to other franchises songs is because someone animated fnaf over it... like yeah I was an animation meme kid but even then I only remember the lyrics and titles to songs if I saw fnaf on them (cringe!!!!) So yeah thank u Glitchtrap <33333

-I think Malhare is the cooler name but the Glitchtrap name is cool too because when the names end in trap like this it makes me think they're like warrior cats adjacent. So in this one they just fluctuate between either Malhare or Glitchtrap

-Also another reason he's my super fave is because my brain predicted it's gloop form!!!!

-Like no joke literally the same character I dreamt about during the early days before Princess Quest.

-Except mine was a shadow like the shadow animatronics. More wispy than gloopy. I think the reason I dreamt it was because Shadow Toy Chica and fan made shadow animatronics were getting popular!! But legit same character and colors!!!!!!!

-Just a big dark mass with purple eyes surrounding it like literally the same character my brain came up with and I'm just wow <3333 minus the fact my design had really big giant swirly white eyebrows

-However my Shadow Glitchtrap was kinda more wack to say the least. Like heheheh cuz Glitchtraps a fursuit there's no denying that I changed the dream design a bit. In my old Glitchtrap designs they'd have a zipper and so what would happen was they'd unzip and flip their insides into outsides to reveal the Shadow Glitchtrap thing which was hiding inside them.

-Like those plushies that you can unzip to reveal a different plushie design basically!!!!

-TBH I prefer Glooptrap because yeah!!!!! Amalgamation of hate let's go!!!!!! I think with how gloopy he is its just fun to draw I love the fact that the weird Glitchtrap blockers look like that it fits too much with my own preestablished AU lore.

-I feel like Glitchtrap turns into Glooptrap from like the seams of their suit. Like you see that each part the suit got stitched just turn black as black liquid pours out like ohhh that shit haunted!!!! Bursting outta the seams like oh this guy has no one inside they're all just black sludge!!!!

-In this AU specifically (The one with my millions of Vanny designs) is actually a spoof fnaf AU where everyone lives!!! Like I have 3 AUs technically one of them being the fnaf cast in my oc world where they become my ocs basically called Rabbit City. My other one which is my more serious canon adjacent fnaf AU where no silly stuff or shipping happens, and it's just more overall following my own formed understanding of the canonicity and the series of events with me trying to keep the animatronics more game accurate (I dont think ive posted any of that here due to me feeling like my style limits the nit and grit I wanna go with it). And this one I mainly post on here where everything is just silly and bends to my command and everyone lives because I love everyone <333333 Literally playing with my toys type AU where I do what I want which is why a million vanny designs are in this AU specifically. I usually tag it as this 🦭🩷🐇🐰🐇🐰🐇🐰🐯 because the original name of this au is self indulgent and I'm embarrassed but it's too iconic to change it.

-Glitchtrap in this AU is just much more goofy and silly infecting people like a zombie virus and possessing them for his own gain. Weird eldritch horror that came out of a fnaf fangame. Anything goes in this AU so if I wanna make Glitchtrap a mind controlling zombie warlock wizard so be it!!!! Sorry I love zombies soo much you will have to take this trope out of my cold dead hands!!!!! I love rot!!!

-That's why it's wrinkly because they too me are like a rotten banana (Even though his associated smell to me is lemongrass). Imagine squeezing a banana still with it's skin on. That's how I imagine bro turns into glooptrap if they didn't open the zipper in time. Also because I love the design trope of rotting and withering sue me. I love when the flesh sags across the body. Wrinkles are great bro theyre so real!!!!! Also because back then people kept drawing him as skinny as a twig??? Even though they have fat??? So I made them fatter mostly because like I love the gloop part of it hiding inside <3333

-They're more green pink and purple because imma be real my fave color combo ever <33333

-I wanna do an xray piece with them soon to show their insides but I'm still uncertain if I have the art prowess to concoct it exactly like how I envision it yet. Like I need to squash and scretch them more. They need to look more decrepit and horrible!!!!! something like the unknown from dbd!!!!

-Glithctrap and Vanny’s dynamic is like Lord Hater and Commander Peepers in this one. There's more character adjacent to the dynamic between them concocted in my head but I wanna draw a comic abt it :]

-Like yeah one second they're besties and the next they're at each other's throats ready to strangle eachother. Vanny reluctantly trying to help him at first like how she was first called.

-Oh also in this specific AU Glitchtrap isn't connected to William in the slightest more just it's own thing!!!!

-He's like an AI that wants to be human. It believes it is human. They've mimicked people too much that they don't know what they are anymore. Or what it wants anymore. What do they want.

hello i come to you bearing gifts (my rambles about the Security Breach era of the Rewrite)

so, a few important things to note:

the Glamrocks, at least, in their canon form, don't exist. they do have Equivalents, though

Malhare (Glitchy Rabbit Boy) DOES exist..but he's a lot less powerful. he's more a rogue computer program (that's also a small piece of Afton's soul/conscience) that can only manipulate electronics. what he does to Vanny is less outright mind control and more along the lines of him manipulating a Very fucked up and traumatized young woman and then asking her "Aren't you tired of being nice? Don't you wanna go APESHIT?" and her answer being yes.

Vanny and her father have much larger roles in the lore. specifically, they are related to one of William's '87 victims (the Toy Bonnie kid, Terrence, specifically). Vanny is the kid's niece, and her father was his older brother.

Vanny and her father's last name is Warren. that's a fun Easter Egg that i'll let you find out yourself ;]

WHO'S READY FOR GEN 2 AFTON AND EMILY KIDS?? (Cameron, Gregory, and Cassie)

things are Very different. Mike and Sammy decided to do a small reboot of the franchise, just for nostalgia's sake and to give the local kids a place to hang out. the animatronics are quite different, but they're like. rebooted versions of the OG animatronics + just regular Blackjack (the lone survivor of Henry's attempt to finally end everything. yes, he's still sentient).

all of the games are rather different. Help Wanted (original) is more like a collection of smaller Fazbear-Related games (that, in the lore, was used as a way to connect the old Fazbear brand with the reboot) that the player can choose to play through (with Malhare being inside a Tomogatchi-type game of sorts) and having two major protagonists (Summer/Tape Girl and Vanny's father, Bill. although he sucks). Security Breach now Actually has five "nights" (days that Greg spends at the new restaurant mostly on his own; the player would have to complete various tasks to get through the "nights" and be able to leave). Ruin is just Cassie exploring an abandoned Freddy's building (specifically the Fnaf 2 building) and unknowingly being led towards Vanny by Malhare mimicking her friend's voice (Gregory). she doesn't die, thank God. haven't figured Help Wanted 2 out just yet, but it involves Mike's older son, Cameron, having A Bad Time (maybe it'll be similar to a Fnaf 4 situation, where nothing's real and it's a nightmare/dream, except it's lore related stuff and paranormal in nature. i'm also keeping the whole theme of "What Makes You So Special?" because it still fits with the personality i have for Cam: a child with popular parent(s) who just tries to keep out of the spotlight. Cam doesn't know why he's getting involved with the Paranormal Shit out of nowhere, nor why it's happening in his dreams).

Vanny is a copycat killer, but she was kinda still manipulated by Malhare. y'know; a mix of canon and what i think would be a cool idea.

so now: A Brief Plot Summary Of The Games!

Help Wanted: Summer tries dealing with the paranormal Glitch Hare on her computer while trying to figure out why he's here. We also learn, apparently, that William is MARGINALLY (note the word choice here) a better father than Vanessa's father.

Security Breach: Charlie would like to relax and enjoy her afterlife, but apparently William's trying to kill his grandson so she's having to team up with a sentient robot fox to keep this gremlin from dying. How does she team up with the fox? By possessing the other robots for brief periods of time to warn and give advice to her nephew (? in a sense) to keep him from dying.

Ruin: Cassie just wants to explore an abandoned building, William's still pissed that Vanny didn't kill his grandson so now he's trying to get her to kill an Emily child (this would only end even Worse for him because Sammy WILL go ballistic if his daughter dies), and Charlie has to help her niece NOT get killed (the mask this time around is a Puppet Halloween Mask that Charlie can possess at will, and she speaks to Cassie while she wears the mask).

Help Wanted 2: Autistic preteen who also deals with selective mutism has The Worst Fucking Time while dreaming, and does not understand why the spirits of dead kids (and his dead grandfather, who is currently being tortured in hell) are so desperate to want to speak to him as he sleeps.

Another thing about requesting is that you need to be specific on what you want, as well as mentioning if you want it to be a one-shot or headcannon. I do recommend one-shots as I'm still learning how to do headcannons lol.

If Sammy was Springles in this AU prior to the series being replaced with ILM, how did that dynamic would work with William? Considering the Spring Bonnie character and his ties to it is kinda his whole schtick.

That got kinda weird and complicated. It’s honestly one of those arcs that needs a whole animated series or webcomic to explain it before you get to it (F&F was going to be both of these at different points).

For some context, Sammy was only 3 years old when he was killed. His communication was limited to toddler babbling, and was generally one of the more wholesome spirits in the restaurant. However, being the youngest spirit, this also made him the most powerful. Whenever he had a meltdown, he would go full-on poltergeist mode. Michael Brooks would stand up as the “big brother” and calm him down whenever this happened.

At the time, there wasn’t really a method for William to have interacted with Sammy while in the Springles suit. But now that I think about it, hearing Sammy’s cries while performing in the Springles suit could have absolutely been what inspired him to do his dirty work to resurrect his daughter after she was killed by Circus Princess. Even after this AU is discontinued, I’m apparently still writing it. XD

However, that likely would have been their only interaction in such a way.

William never used the spring-lock suit to kill, because that would have been stupid. He instead used a different suit that you would know in canon as Malhare/Glitchtrap.

There was something that happened in the main narrative between the Fredbear days and William becoming Springtrap that caused Sammy’s spirit to be “destroyed” by the main antagonist of the series (whether he was truly destroyed was something I never decided on).

Sammy was a pretty cool part of the AU. In a former rewrite, he and William were going to have more of a relationship. But as I kept writing and my writing skills kept improving, them having the relationship that one would expect in their circumstances became not only unnecessary, but also impossible.

I guess in short, there wasn’t much of a relationship between them aside from familial.

alright so since no one's online to talk im just gonna address that one anon in my inbox that's been sitting there for ages. the one who asked about kin memories. im so sorry i never got to answer your question, i didn't really know how to answer it to be honest? but it was still rude of me not to respond at all, my apologies...

i don't know if you'll see this but if you do, that means you're still here after all this time and i really appreciate that :]

anyway, i'll try explaining as best as i can if you're still interested in the answer!

first things first, kinning can be very different from person to person, so what im about to explain now isn't the universal definition or experience, of course.

the way i see and experience kin memories is basically like... sort of remembering something that didn't happen, if that makes sense. at least, something that didn't happen in this life, but maybe in a previous one. it's kind of the same feeling as remembering something, let's say, from 10 years ago. it can be sudden, but it's usually triggered by something.

for example, when i had that one Phoenix memory (about having glasses in my canon), i came across some concept art for Phoenix in dual destinies, and he had glasses in that concept art. i saw that and i was like "wait a minute....." like...it just felt so right.

(also the fact that im wearing glasses in my current life might have influenced that but who knows...not even im sure)

but it can also come out of nowhere, like that one Spring Bonnie memory i had where i was friends with Malhare and goofed around on the stage after closing hours.

sometimes it's hard even for me to differentiate a """real""" memory from a random thought like "oh wouldn't it be cool if THAT happened" but i try not to think too much about it, especially since i don't take kinning 100% seriously, i mostly do it for fun. let's say i take it half seriously.

aaaand i think that's about it! i don't know how much sense i made since this whole thing is confusing even for myself sometimes, but i do hope i at least cleared up some things. thank you for reading and thank you for asking! again, so sorry it took me this long to answer.

Alrighty I got my thoughts together. Let’s do the rewrites:

Bunny call:

This one pretty much follows the story, but again context change and also I’m adding to it. When reading it felt like the horror bit was too short, I mean one hour with Ralpho doesn’t have the same terror as a whole week with the demon filled bunny you know what I mean? So what I’m thinking is that first morning was only the beginning. Ralpho is a stubborn and petty bitch and not getting what he wants means he’s gonna deliberately attack bob and his family now. So he lured them into a more abandoned part of the forest and unleashes the demons. But let me explain what Ralpho is in this au first: Ralpho is a tiny bunny cryotid, spawned from parents who either hate their kids/ hate being parents/ are just generaly unhappy with their lot in life. He couldn’t terrorize people much since he is a small bunny but a bunch of demons were like “hey, you like causing problems on purpose? So do we, we should team up” and Ralpho was like “hell yeah!” And the demoms essentially wear him like a fur suit and that’s how he’s bigger. This bunny is full of demons. Gross. Anyway back to the story: malhare babysits for Makenzies and really adores those kids. So the week before they left when he got a really bad feeling he secretly tapped their phones so he could listen I’m just in case something Went wrong. Lo and behold something did and he overheard the hour with Ralpho. Since he’s been working with the cryotid club for a while he recognizes the signs and is like “oh FUCK! MARIE I NEED TO BORROW WALKER THE KIDS ARE IN DANGER!” Amd bugs comes along too because he and mal are pals. Anyway mal arrives just as Ralpho pulls his shit and falls for backup and also Marion because ‘oh shit demoms!’ This whole thing kinda turns into a game of slender but survival where mal and the family try to avoid the demoms while the twisted keep the, busy and they wait for marion to arrive to perform the biggest exorcism in history or something. Long story short they do and he does mal probably does his best to explain everything and is worried he lost his job, but bob is a family man now and is like “dude you did all this to save us, I don’t think we pay you enough” and also since all the demons are gon Ralpho is small again. Marion hands him off to Eleanor since she’s the doll mom now. They’re roommates.

In the flesh:

Yeah uh as stated before this one is just a big old rewrite. No alien references here. So Matt is just an asshole. He still makes the game but it’s just a killer rabbit not springtrap. Anyway he just keeps getting mad after a string of bad dates and bad life choices and also the killer bunny program not doing what he wants and this leads to the final date where he disrespects women so hard that one dude calls him out. Matt is angry and tries to fight that guy in the parking lot but whoops you picked on the wrong guy buddy because that’s flaming springtrap aka jackotrap and he is gonna kick your entitled ass! Matt maybe has an oh shit moment and gets the snot beat out of him. Jack leaves and Matt goes back to the empty apartment, because I’m keeping his roommate leaving that was just good for him man, and has to do some serious soul searching because my god when your choices in life leave you alone and beat up by a flaming bunny you know you fucked up somewhere. Also I’m keeping Gene. Malhare needs more hacker friends.

The man in room 1280:

Imma be real I just want to keep father Arthur and Hercules hospital and the nurses. I like them. Though when thinking about what plot to follow... I figured Arthur becomes a contact for the cryotid club, so how about how that happened? Basically emma was heading to the hospital because of rumors of it being haunted. And she can see ghosts so yeah, she runs into Arthur and they end up walking together since they’re going to the same destination. They bond over stuff and Arthur is like a cool priest he doesn’t try to force religion on people and Emma is like ‘neat’ also maybe Marion is there but he’s hiding becsuee emma keeps too close to the priest he can’t let himself be seen since he’s an animatronic. Anywa turns out Arthur can sense spirits, Marion thinks this is because of his bike ruby being previously very haunted and the remnant that remained just stuck with Arthur. And demons tend to fuck off if people can see them and call them out. Well the weak ones do anyway. Uh as for what they are doing themselves, idk ghost kid can’t move on because his grandpa is at the hospital and that was like the one good person in his life and he refuses to leave unless grandpa goes with him. Maybe the nurses are convinced the gramps is evil because of the ghost near him and try to kill him but ghost hijunx ensue and the guy lives. The man himself is kinda dieing so emma talks to the ghost, along with Marion who’s revealed himself at this point. While Arthur gives the old man his last rights and all that. The two ghosts are able to move on and Emma gives the guy the number for the cryotid club because the club could use more adults and also people who can exorcise ghosts. Marion is a busy man he can’t always be called.

they're separate, and did fall into some bad tropes originally, but the revision has spring being aggressive and hostile on their own terms due to fazent's neglect and will's an external spirit who's just a manipulative bastard that redirects their anger towards the night guard. do you think that sounds ok..? sorry if this is a question w/ an obvious answer njhb i just wanna be careful with my portrayals, ty for ur time ur blog is rlly cool (2/2)

I really hope they don't start incorporating the weird short mini story collection books into the games

I don't think it's The Mimic because it can only mimic voices, not appearances, and only Gregory's voice too

Question: was Malhare trying to stop us from letting this thing out or was just being antagonistic for the sake of being antagonistic?

Because if he has been trying to stop you the whole DLC from releasing the beast, that's kinda cool

I ask because he gets on Cassie's case whenever she tries to breach the security nodes that lock the monster in

If this is the case, then I want a Malhare vs. Ruin Monster battle

This two and a half hour DLC gave us more story than the entirety of Security Breach, which was 9 1/2 (nine and a half).

So, I call that a win.

Still don't like Monty's Gator-Golf.
