okay but now i think the reason why im so upset with scara’s retconning his existence is the potential story of reconciliation between him and ei. like it would have been a good character development for both of them tbh. Maybe after speaking (through Traveler’s involvement and scheming probably) face to face, the both of them will come to terms with their own grief and finally move on from whatever is holding them back fully. i think at that point, it will make more sense for people why scara had an anemo vision (my hc is that anemo is more of the process of moving on from whatever is holding back, the freedom of taking steps instead of staying rooted in place, thus why anemo is generally associated with freedom, time and death). anyway, after idk they have their emotional reunion, maybe yae miko will also finally realize just why ei didn’t destroy scara in the first place. scara was too human to be a puppet.
