Note
aw shit- I have to send my request early cuz i'll be very busy T.T
Uhm,, can I request a yandere concept for my girl Marina from Fear & Hunger 2: Termina?
I love Marina sm... Here you go :)
Yandere! Marina Domek Concept
Pairing: Platonic -> Romantic
Possible Trigger Warnings: Gender-Neutral Darling, Obsession, Stalking, Mind reading, Manipulation, Overprotective/Possessive behavior, Violence, Blood, Religion, Dark themes, Murder, Dubious companionship/relationship.
Tumblr media
Marina was born in the Church of All-Mer.
Since birth she was connected to Prehevil, even if her mother tried to hide her away from the duties of becoming a Dark Priest.
Marina was often taught to camouflage and act around others.
She can read their mind and is capable of magic due to being an occultist.
She originally left Prehevil to flee from her father.
She was not welcome there... Yet years later she's called back for an event beyond her control.
Marina is described as curious and informal when speaking.
She freely speaks her mind and is very knowledgeable about Prehevil, more so than most of the other contestants.
She hates this place... But finds something, or someone, interesting within it.
Marina meets you during the twisted Termina festival.
Soon afterwards she begins to see you as an ally when you reach out to speak with her outside of the train.
You're curious of this place but Marina can also see the fear in your eyes.
You need guidance... Guidance she can provide.
Marina doesn't formally join your party until later.
However, she does speak with you outside of the train.
You intrigue her... The fact you're so curious about her is cute.
You want to know about Prehevil and Marina's knowledge in blood magic.
Marina does her best to indulge you, even smiling and giggling a couple times as you talk.
She really wants to consider you a friend.
I imagine you don't see Marina again until you either save her from the Mayor's House or meet her at the Bookstore.
I like to imagine your party members are Levi and O'saa, although you could have anyone.
Marina just has the most dialogue with those two I think.
Marina is thankful if you save her, in fact her obsession may be faster after this.
Even though you don't see her until later, Marina isn't actually that far from you.
I think (haven't actually played the game) she has Mind Read similar to Samarie, if not... disregard the next few sentences.
Marina may secretly use Mind Read while stalking you.
She's curious and wants to know your thoughts on this place.
Not only that... but how are you getting along with the others?
Eventually she'll meet you again at the Book Store, pretending she wasn't snooping.
The Book Store becomes a pleasant place to meet, Marina perking up when she sees you again.
She knew you'd come here... but still...
Upon meeting her again you offer her to join your party.
Theoretically you should have a slot by this point... which allows Marina to become a valuable part of your team.
Marina, as an occultist, is skilled in many different types of magic.
Be it Pyromancy Trick or creating Ritual Circles... she's skilled in her craft.
Plus, Marina often makes conversation with you about Prehevil.
If you have Levi too, the two most likely join in with one another.
Marina isn't very physically strong but she makes up for it with magic.
Her basic weapon is a knife and she admits she's used to utilizing magic more than anything.
Marina would want to be open with her darling eventually.
Especially if you heard her father... misgender her.
Yes, Marina would only ever want to tell her darling the truth of her childhood.
She wants to create a bond between you where you can be honest with one another.
No lies.
Marina is no doubt affected by the festival like the rest, yet she manages to keep her head most of the time.
This is because she is already skilled in the occult.
As a result, I feel she'd be able to handle herself more, even on Day 3.
Which means she'd be less volatile than most other contestants.
Even when she notices your mind wander or your thoughts corrupt... Marina pulls you back into reality.
She'd be less tempted to outright kill other contestants unless she feels it's necessary.
For example, if the felt she had to kill others to guarantee you both live and make it out of here?
She will.
Marina may start platonic with you, seeing you as an intriguing ally who always just seems to have a way with talking to people.
Yet as the countdown ticks on... it becomes known she feels romantically for you.
Now here's an idea...
Samarie, already a canonical yandere, would view you as a rival.
She notices Marina get close to you, clearly head over heels for you.
After all... Samarie feels a similar way with Marina.
Imagine if Marina's first kill as a yandere was Samarie?
She knows the other girl is obsessed with her... yet Marina isn't interested.
Imagine Marina's panic if you were attacked by Samarie, the other crazed girl ranting and raving about being together forever.
Marina is forced to fight back despite Samarie's protests.
Marina's gaze is dark... enraged.
How dare she make you bleed.
While you're tended to by another party member, Marina deals with Samarie.
Most likely by killing her... as if Marina didn't stop her, you'd be dead too.
By the end of it she returns to you smelling if ash and blood.
You give her a concerned look but Marina pushes your other party member away to tend to you.
It's from this point on Marina realizes she must be careful with you.
Which leads down the route you're thinking of.
I think introducing Marina and Samarie's dynamic is a nice way to make Marina different from other yandere contestants.
When she realizes how easy it is for other contestants to target you, she begins to grow distrust.
As the festival trucks on, you two will be forced to make a choice.
Kill or be killed.
Your fate with Marina could go one of two ways.
You two Moonscorch together like most other contestants, usually due to Marina snapping.
Or... you two manage to live through the festival and Marina tries to settle down with you.
Both outcomes are twisted.
While the Ending A outcome sounds nice... Marina's no doubt changed due to the festival.
Especially if you've witnessed her killing other contestants for you.
After all, if Samarie tried it... who's to say the others won't?
Marina is soon used to the blood on her blouse, even if you look at her in concern.
No need for you to be fearful... she's doing this all for you.
She can read your mind and notices your discomfort.
She ignores it, promising herself that this is how you two will survive.
One way or another you'll be together, monsters or not.
Somewhere on the third day, due to Rher's influence, she is open about how she feels.
"I've fallen for you... I can't get the thought of you out of my mind. Everything I do is for you. Maybe Samarie is right... killing to protect the one you love is invigorating. Don't be scared... I just want us to be together... forever... doesn't it sound nice?"
Marina preaches about settling down with you, forgetting what happens in Prehevil and focusing on one another.
It's ironic that she's just become like Samarie.
She doesn't care if every contestant here dies as long as she gets to live beside you in the end.
As Day 3 approaches it's end, it's soon time to flip a coin and decide your fate once and for all.
Marina waits eagerly for the outcome.
At this point, she doesn't care how it happens...
One way or another you'll be together... and she'll be happy since you're the one she loves the most.

Chapter 15 Part 2: Checking out the map
Here's the Jehana map. Since this is Ephraim route, we start on the bottom left here.
Tumblr media
Moving up, we can see a smattering of enemies, and then a big clump around Caellach in the upper left corner of the map.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The big pyramid-thingy is the now-ruined Jehana castle. Moving to the right along the top of the map, there are a couple guys near the castle. And then down from there, there's a clump of wyverns.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
In the bottom right corner, right of our starting position, we have Valter and a metric crap-ton of units nearby him.
Tumblr media
Upon starting the map, Eirika, Innes, and Saleh appear.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
They appear here, on the other side of the desert from Ephraim's starting position. So one of the early goals of this map is to get at least some units up their way so that they don't overwhelmed. There aren't a lot of enemies around them now, but there will be reinforcements in a bit.
Tumblr media
Before playing the map though, here are some key enemies. This berserker to the right of Eirika has a Dragon Axe that he'll drop, which does effective damage against dragon-type enemies.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Here's Caellach. He has a Silver Axe and a Tomahawk, which is a more powerful hand axe, and he carries a Hoplon Guard, which prevents him from taking any critical hits. (If only Ephraim had had this in the last map... *grumble* *grumble*)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Nearby him is a shaman with a droppable Luna Tome. I don't particularly need a Luna Tome, so I might sell it once I get it.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Here's the other boss, Valter, in the lower right. He has a Silver Lance and a Slender Spear, and he carries a Fili Shield, which undoes effective damage to fliers. So shooting him with arrows won't do 3x damage even though he's on a wyvern.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Nearby Valter is this Troubadour with a Berserk Staff that she'll drop.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Also near Valter is this Berserker with a Devil's Axe, which has a (31 - Luck)% chance to hurt the user instead of the enemy.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Also near Valter is this Shaman with an Eclipse Tome, which has 3-10 range and reduces HP by 1/2. It has an absolutely garbage hit rate though.
This guy also has a Guiding Ring, which I wouldn't mind stealing, but I don't want it enough that I'm using up a slot bringing Rennac.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Vanessa alighted next to Lute. She had been relieved of her duty to go ahead and look for enemies, so she wanted to keep her promise.
Lute looked up from the book she was reading on horseback. "Hello," she said. "You are riding Titania, not Lute."
"Hi," Vanessa responded, suddenly feeling self-conscious. The situation their army was in was dire, and she also just wasn't used to engaging in casual conversation while on a mission in front of her fellow soldiers.
But Vanessa thought back to what Moulder had told her, "It's ok to have friends. It's ok to be a person."
Vanessa stroked Titania's neck and looked at Lute. "Yeah, I wanted to make sure Titania got some exercise as well since she hasn't been seeing any action in battles recently."
Lute nodded silently, seemingly satisfied with the answer.
"I was reading about bug species in the Jehana desert. Did you know that there are almost 200 species that have been identified as endemic to the region?" Lute's eyes were wide, and Vanessa could see the excitement in her face.
"Wow," Vanessa said, unsure how to respond. She wasn't terribly knowledgeable or excited about bugs, but she was still happy that Lute wanted to share this with her.
"Also, even though we're not quite in the desert proper yet, I've already noticed that the climate is much drier here, and I'm seeing species that I haven't seen before in Renais, Frelia, or Grado! For instance, I saw a Jehana Flycatcher just a couple of minutes ago! They are birds who prefer dry enviroments, so they are not usually seen outside of Jehana proper, but it is not unheard of for them to come down a little to the south."
"That's neat!" Vanessa responded. "I don't know much about birds, but I definitely have noticed some of the different ones we've seen in different regions. If you see another one, let me know!"
Lute looked at Vanessa's face as she spoke. She had learned from talking to people in her village that most people usually got bored and stopped listening when she talked about interesting things like animals, monsters or spells. She was happy to see that Vanessa appeared to be listening to everything she had to say.
Lute knew from experience that many people were not fans of insects, but she decided to try sharing something with Vanessa. "Well, speaking of new creatures, I actually discovered an entirely new species of insect that was not described in any of my books!" As she spoke, she pulled a small glass jar out of a pocket in her dress and held it out for Vanessa to see.
Vanessa nudged Titania to move closer to Lute's horse and she leaned her body over to peer more closely at the contents of the jar.
"It's really pretty! What a nice emerald color its wings are!"
Lute could feel herself smiling. Vanessa liked the insect! She saw how beautiful it was and didn't call it an icky bug!
"Since it is a new species, I can name it," Lute declared as she tucked the jar back in her pocket. "I am planning to publish my own book of animals after this war is done. I have been taking extensive notes on various creatures I have observed while we have been traveling."
Vanessa smiled at Lute. "What are you going to name it?"
"I'm going to call it an Emerald Wing Dung Beetle!" Lute beamed, "I found it in a pile of pegasus dung when we took that last break!"
Then Lute smirked at Vanessa in a way Vanessa hadn't ever seen before.
"But I also need to give it a scientific name, and since its shade of green is the same color as your hair, and it likes pegasi, I'm going to name it Vanessica Vanessicus!"
Vanessa drew her head back slightly and arched her eyebrows. "You're naming a dung beetle after me!?"
"Heh heh." Lute chuckled, smiling and looking down slightly.
Vanessa rolled her eyes and laughed, "Hah!" She shook her head and looked at Lute, "And what if I say I don't want the whole world knowing me as a dung beetle?"
"Well, I will not insist on it, but it really is a fitting name."
"Hmph. Fine. You win this one. But just wait. I'm going to find a new species of skunk and name it after you some day!"
Lute knew from the context of the conversation that Vanessa was teasing her, but she couldn't help herself. "I would love that, actually!"
Vanessa laughed again and said, "Yeah, you would, wouldn't you? I'll have to think of another way to get my revenge."
Lute put her hand on the pocket with the jar in it. She felt happy knowing that the dung beetle was there. She felt happy that Vanessa liked the name. "It's good to have a friend!" she thought.
Next time: Hurrying to Eirika's rescue!

Okay professional post done, let's get into my insanity.
In an Instagram post, Annalise said the girls' sculpts came from the DC Superhero Girls line (Bow is from MH G2 in case you've missed that in previous posts). This always confused me because from the photos of the DC dolls I found, they didn't seem to match, plus there are some changes on the She-ra dolls, like Glimmer's "curvier" sculpt (also something Annalise mentioned and, well, I can see on the sculpt comparison she is right but boy is that waist measurement the same) when the DC line didn't seem to have body type diversity, but her portfolio finally answered these questions for me.
Part of my confusion was because there were two lines under the same DC Superhero Girls name, one in 2016 (which was most of what I turned up and focused on) and one in 2019. The 2019 line did actually feature body diversity, but the She-ra line began work in 2017, so while it was possible they pulled the bodies from the in-development 2019 refresh, I thought it was more likely they used the 2016 ones.
Tumblr media
This comparison from Annalise's portfolio shows the difference between the two DC lines. None of the articulation counts match the She-ra dolls, as they have 11, so they had some added regardless of the base body.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
[Left picture from Ebay since Annalise doesn't have body photos for this line] Left to right, this shows the 2019 DC "Slim" body type on Harley Quinn, Adora's sculpt (the same base sculpt used for Catra and Shadow Weaver), and the 2016 DC bodies on Batgirl (molded outfit details changed for each doll and sometimes chest articulation was added, but otherwise they were all the same). Based on this comparison, I believe the 2019 Slim sculpt was used for the She-ra line as it is by far the closest match, so they were probably pulling from the in-development line and just added details as needed. (Note: the Petite sculpt for the 2019 line is extremely similar to the Slim sculpt, but I'm confidant SPOP used the Slim sculpt from the chest and the fact that the Adora, Catra, and Shadow Weaver dolls are taller than Glimmer's doll)
Adora, Shadow Weaver, and Catra were all molded with the exact same torso in different colors. This torso had a circular hole added in the back with a plug that was popped out to make room for Catra's tail on her. I believe this torso variant with the hole was added for the She-ra line as I haven't seen a DC girl who has it or would even need it.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
[Left photo by me of the Shadow Weaver doll; Right photo from Ebay featuring the Katana Slim doll] Here you can see the added hole in the middle of the lower back that was used as a slot of Catra's tail. I have no idea why they included this (filled in, but still) on all the She-ra dolls since they have a version without it already and they're all cast in a different plastic/skin color, but it meant they had to move the molded copyright info up.
For the arms and legs of the Adora and Shadow Weaver dolls, they're exactly the same and seem to just be the DC Slim type with elbow and wrist articulation added. There were a couple hand styles for the DC dolls and they just picked one style to use for all the She-ra dolls (right fist, open left hand).
Catra's hands and lower legs are slightly different as claws have been added and, as noted in Annalise's portfolio, the arch of her foot was changed so she could stand without shoes, but otherwise her body is the same. And, of course, she has the back slot opened for adding in her tail.
Now, onto the doll that I've always had the most questions about: Glimmer! Knowing about the body diversity in this 2019 line now, this is less mystifying to me (I always wondered if they pulled her body from another unnamed line or modified the sculpt used for the other girls), but now the question is: which doll did her body type come from?
The DC line had Muscular/Curvy, Tall, and Petite/Curvy body types in addition to the Slim and Petite body types.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
[Left Supergirl from Ebay, middle Glimmer, right Catwoman from Ebay] Well, damn. Now we run into a problem. Left is the Muscular/Curvy body. Right is the Petite/Curvy body (confirmed by comparing it with Bumblebee's body which I know is P/C, but this Catwoman photo is better than the one of Bumblebee), and middle is Glimmer's. Glimmer isn't a perfect match for any of them. Her torso and legs match the P/C body (as does her height relative to Adora/Catra/Shadow Weaver), but her arms don't match either body type. (Also: this sculpt shows her as having two opened hands, but she ended up with the right fist/open left hand all the other She-ra dolls have).
Alright, so lets sus this out. Here's the list of DC characters that got 2019 dolls that I found, along with their doll body type:
Supergirl (teen, superhero): Muscular/Curvy
Wonder Woman (teen, superhero): Tall
Batgirl (teen, superhero): Petite
Zatanna: Muscular/Curvy
Bumblebee: Petite/Curvy
Green Lantern/Jessica Cruz: Slim
Katana: Slim
Harley Quinn: Slim (visual match - not officially confirmed)
Catwoman: Petite/Curvy (visual match - not officially confirmed)
As far as I can tell, there is no just plain "Curvy" body. It looks to me like the P/C arms are pretty much the same as what the Petite and Slim bodies have, and Glimmer's arms are thicker than Catra and Adora's (something you can see in the sculpt but that I've also confirmed is present on the final dolls IRL). My best guess for Glimmer's sculpt is: she is using the Petite/Curvy body and legs, but her arms are based on the ones used for the Muscular/Curvy body. I think her shoulders have been reduced a little from the base M/C arm sculpt, either to fit onto the P/C body or to be more screen accurate.
This is kind of an odd solution, but it's the best guess I have based on the data I've been able to gather. I have checked and I don't think it's plausible she's using the Tall arms - they're too broad at the shoulder and too thin everywhere else. Maybe one day if someone is selling the Supergirl and Bumblebee doll together for five dollars I'll get them and do an IRL comparison between the three, but this is the solution I'm the most confident in, so that's my final assessment for now!

Tumblr media
❝ WATCH WHERE YOU'RE FUCKING GOING NEXT TIME, YOU ROTTEN BELL PEPPER. ❞
Tumblr media
Hate was a strong word but the flaring anger in your heart and overwhelming urge to run into a wall whenever your eyes landed on that tangerine said otherwise. It wasn't that you went out of your way to dislike someone that has everyone wrapped around their finger. It just so happened that you had no tolerance for bullshit, and Hinata Shōyō pissed you off in every way possible.
It started on the first day of high school.
Walking beside Minari, a friend from middle school, the two of you were eager to leave the building. The idea of grabbing steamed buns had unraveled itself in your mind, and what better way to enjoy food than by sharing?
"Are you going to try out for any clubs?" Your elbow bumped against hers as you two walked the slowly emptying hallway. "I think I saw the girls soccer team holding tryouts soon."
Minari shrugged, but you could already see the thoughts pinging in her mind. "I might if I can."
See, the two of you had almost reached the staircase when it happened. Minari's long hair covered her view from time to time, so you were used to looking out for her while chastising the girl about the usefulness of a hairband. But what you didn't expect as you pulled the girl aside just as a gaggle of guys rushed by was the full strength of a short orange-haired boy catching you off guard and nearly sending you tumbling down the flight of stairs.
"I'm sorry! I - I didn't see you there!" He shouted, his hand coming out to latch instinctively onto your school uniform before you could be thrown back far. "And on the first day too... I'm so sorry! Please accept my apology."
You stared at the short boy standing before you looking positively green with anxiety and guilt. Minari was already calming him down with mentions of accepting his apology, but all you could focus on was the pounding beat of your heart and the tingling feeling in your legs from your near-fatal experience.
"Watch where you're fucking going next time, you rotten bell pepper," you muttered before pushing his fingers off your now wrinkled white shirt.
You had walked away first, Minari in tow, but not before catching the shine of his name tag, 'Hinata Shōyō,' and the wide-eyed stare on his face that sent shivers down your back.
From that day forward, every flash of orange around the school seemed to be followed by a glare on your end and a roll of eyes on his.
"You're in the way, pumpkin head." Your words cut through the chattering hallway and sliced at Hinata who in turn threw you a pointed look, something that all the First Year students knew by now was reserved for only you. "I'm trying to get to the library, but somebody's walking too slow. Aren't you supposed to be on the volleyball team?"
Hinata scoffed, but stepped aside to let you through. Dirty looks were all he had in his armory apparently as time after time after sending an insult or two his way, he held his tongue. You liked to think it was because he didn't have the proper brain cells to form a response, but sometimes you wondered if you were being too much.
Up ahead, Minari waved at you to hurry before all the seats at the library were taken. Shaking yourself of your thoughts, you walked over to her. Unbeknownst to you, while you shouldered your bag, your wallet tipped over and fell out at a certain somebody's feet.
Hinata picked up your ratty wallet, noticing it on the floor, and went to call out to you before catching himself. What did he care? Still, unable to ignore it, he pocketed your belonging making note to give it back to you later. Right now, he had a game to worry about.
Tumblr media
Somehow you had ended up at the Karasuno vs. Aoba Johsai game during the Interhigh Preliminaries. Minari had dragged you up to the stands as discreetly as possible after convincing you that she wasn't feeling up to study. Considering she had her eyes set on a certain 5'10 blueberry, you were foolish enough to think that she'd wanted to take you some place fun.
Now as the two of you stared down at the game happening eagerly, you let out a sigh upon noticing Hinata. As if your day couldn't have gotten worse after misplacing your wallet, you were displeased to find that he was looking right back up at you with the same wide-eyed stare he had when you two had first met.
Shivers ran down your back almost as if on cue, and you tore your gaze away from him fully ready to leave the gymnasium and trudge back home. But had you turned away, you would have missed the freakish oddball combination execute their quick attack.
"Holy shit," you breathed. "What the fuck was that?"
Minari smirked. "Tobio-kun is a great setter, isn't he? Or were you too focused on Mr. Bell Pepper to notice."
You shot her a frosty look, pushing down the stuttering emotion starting to rise in your chest that most definitely did not feel like anger. "As if."
The game continued for what seemed like days but turned out to be hours at most ending at a score of 1:2 in Aoba Johsai's favor.
Deafening silence overtook your ears. Minari was quick to leave the stands, mumbling something about consoling the fallen setter while your eyes searched for some semblance of sunshine in Hinata's sullen ones.
Spotting his sunken expression, you felt yourself regret the hatred that had sparked for him for just a moment. A fleeting moment that buried itself in your heart, planting a seedling of growing doubt.
"Minari, we have to catch the bus back!" You called out to your friend as you joined her on the gymnasium floor.
She glanced your way, halting the conversation she had began with her Tobio-kun. "Two minutes, and then we can go. Please?"
You nodded despite feeling discomfort crawling up your spine at being surrounded now by those you didn't know. You settled by the door, checking your phone mindlessly to pass the short time only looking up when an outstretched hand came into view.
"You dropped this earlier." Hinata's words were short, sharp, and you were suddenly glad you had never been on the end of his scathing remarks. "On your way to the library," he continued.
"Oh," was all your malfunctioning mind could come up with as he took your open hand in his, placing your wallet gently in your palm. The warmth of his skin seemed pressed into your own even after he had started to stalk away.
Clearing your throat, you spoke before you could stop yourself. "You did well today. I - uh," you paused. What were you even saying? "I watched from the stands."
He offered you a soft smile, one that you realized could light the world aflame, before walking back to his awaiting team.
You placed your hand over your drumming heart, sedating the flustered feeling he had left behind with you, chanting in your mind over and over again that Hinata Shōyō was a menace and you had no plan to ever like him let alone fall for him.
But no one ever plans to fall in love.
Tumblr media
The Karasuno Boys Volleyball Club seemed to practice non-stop funnily enough, rather motivated by their loss from months ago instead of despaired. Minari had become a regular face during practice as she cheered the boys on in an attempt to woo Kageyama still, and by fault, so had you.
"Y/N, Tangerine's on his way over here." Minari nudged you, stealing your attention from the workbook open in your lap.
You shrugged, trying to focus on anything other than your slowly rising heartbeat. "Why? Did the coach bench him for his subpar plays?"
"No, actually Tangerine wanted to give you something but he's currently reconsidering."
You looked up immediately, eyes narrowing upon noticing Hinata standing in front of you with a small smirk. "You're looking really fucking smug for a guy who still needs to work on his skills. Kageyama says you lack basic technique."
Hinata rolled his eyes at you. "You're being rude."
"It's because I don't like you," you answered smoothly. "So get back to practice before you lose any more volleyball brain cells."
He let out a small laugh. Turning away, for a moment you thought he'd actually leave as simple as that, but just before he took another step, he tossed something your way. It fell on top of your workbook, smacking against the thin pages, causing a couple of the boys to look your way while Hinata jogged back to the net.
Minari leaned in closer to you. "He got you—" She cocked her head in confusion. "A wallet?"
It was a deep shade of orange that almost made you laugh out in irony. Detailed with card slots and a latch with snapping buttons, the wallet was definitely an improvement from the one you had right now.
"That's sweet... right?" Minari questioned, watching your expression as you opened the wallet to reveal a note — scratchy handwriting on a scrap of notebook paper.
'thought your wallet looked ratty old. not in a mean way of course!!!!
— your favorite, Pumpkin Head Shōyō
ps. my sister picked out the color :p'
"Stupid fucking carrot," you whispered under your breath, feeling your cheeks grow warm at his message. "I don't need a new wallet."
Minari scoffed at your words, turning to face you completely and taking your hands in hers with seriousness. "Be honest with me." You stared at her blankly. "Be honest, and tell me if you actually hate Hinata as much as you say you do. Why don't you just drop the act? You two obviously like each other enough to be friends, so why keep this all up? Isn't it tiring?"
Her words echoed through the hallways of your mind minutes, hours, and days after. Sitting at your desk in school, on your walk home, lying in bed staring up at the ceiling, they were as loud as life itself.
You thumbed the straps of your bag while waiting for the bus. The sun was slowly dropping from the sky, setting on the horizon leaving you in a thoughtful orange haze.
You two obviously like each other enough to be friends, so why keep this all up? Isn't it tiring?
Tumblr media
The weeks following were conflicting and chaotic. Exam season settled on Karasuno High School jolting the students and staff into a cloud of stress.
You spent your spare time at the library, eyes boring into material that just wouldn't stick while a certain rotten bell pepper took his seat next to you.
"I have to pass my finals or Sugawara senpai is going to nail me to a wall," Hinata explained, spreading his notebooks out on the desk and bumping his elbow against yours in the process. "You do well in your classes, right? Do you — " He looked abash. "D - Do you mind helping me?"
Against your better judgement, you nodded. Looking back now, you suppose that's where your odd friendship began.
Days on end, the two of you would stay behind to cycle through the material slowly building a tolerance of each other much to everyone's surprise.
"Do you still hate me?" The question came one night, the weekend before his exams.
Hinata looked at you from where he sat on the swings, kicking his feet at the sandy grounds. The two of you were at the park, cooling off after a long study session.
Your eyes fell to the can of convenience store coffee in your hands. The slight of the passing breeze drilled his question further in your mind.
"No, I don't think so," came your answer, words wobbly and unsure despite the thrum of your heart beating loudly against your chest and the warmth in your cheeks.
Silence filled the space between you two before Hinata finally spoke up again.
"Then do you like me?"
Your body felt lit aflame, mind jumping immediately to the way he made you feel things you hadn't much before. "As a friend," you decided after a moment of flustered emotions. "We're friends, I guess."
Hinata nodded thoughtfully. "Well, I like you." He took a deep breath. "As more than a friend, but if you feel that way then I'll wait for you. We have time."
His confession became lost among the flurry of thoughts and colliding emotions raging on inside you. Before you could say anything in response, Hinata got to his feet, shooting you that now familiar smile of his and offering you his hand.
Tumblr media
The new year overwhelmed your senses like a storm of rain after a drought. Refreshed after the break, you returned to school with a new sense of purpose amplified by the motivation the new year always brings.
Hinata's confession had remained in your mind, pushed to the back by celebration but still bugging you every so often. The apricot haired boy had showed up, throwing ping pong balls (of all things) at your window to catch your attention over the break asking if you wanted to go grab something sweet with him. You promptly responded with a rejection, only to find yourself walking with him ten minutes later.
"How was your break?" Minari asked, bundled in a jacket, scarf, and hat. She joined you at your side, catching you on your walk from the bus stop to school.
You shrugged, pulling your puffy jacket closer to you. "It was okay. You?"
She smiled. "Hung out with Tobio-kun. We went for hot chocolate, and he taught me how to set." Her eyes seemed almost dazzling at the memory, and you laughed, pushing her lightly away.
"You and your Tobio-kun are positively gross," you said. "Absolutely—"
Your words were halted at the feeling of warm fabric settling around your neck and a known face popping up beside you with a proud smile.
"Stay warm. You can give it back to me later," Hinata said before jogging away to catch up with a pair of Second Year boys ahead.
Your hand came up to the green scarf around your neck, failing to form comprehensive sentences. Heart thundering, you ignored the funny looks others sent your way. Glancing at Minari, you caught her slipping giggles.
"What happened to Hinata Shōyō being a rotten bell pepper?"
"Shut up."
Lending you his scarf when days seemed too cold was just the beginning of it all. Days turned into weeks turned into months of Hinata pining after you and you—though obvious to everyone else—trying to decipher your feelings for him.
"Hey, I missed you," Hinata said to you lightly after you had agreed to drop something off for Kageyama on Minari's behalf. Quickly realizing the meaning of his words, however, Hinata corrected himself. "I mean—um, as in I m - missed you earlier. Like... like I didn't catch you today, you know?"
You tilted your head at him with endearment, a small smile playing across your lips at the sight of his blushing face. "Yeah, don't worry. I got it, sweet potato."
His flustered expression dropped. "You think I'm sweet?"
Your eyes widened, stuttering to form a response and correct yourself out of this situation you had suddenly been thrusted in. Luckily, Kageyama came to your rescue before you could embarrass yourself.
"Hinata, boke, stop flirting with Y/N!" The tall blueberry haired boy towered over Hinata with a menacing glare and a scoff. Kageyama turned to you with a blank look you took for an apologetic expression.
Shaking your head profusely, you put your hands up in surrender. "Ah, no worries, Kageyama. I—uh, I have something for you from Minari. She has classroom duties today, so she couldn't come herself."
Kageyama nodded, taking the wrapped bento box that Minari had prepared for him from your outstretched hands. He mumbled words of thanks before stalking off while muttering under his breath a colorful range of insults at Hinata who in turn sent him a funny face.
The Spring Interhigh was coming up, and you were sure the Karasuno Boys Volleyball Club was itching for redemption after what had happened last August. Deciding that you didn't want to interrupt their practice any further, you made move to leave only to stop at the feeling of a hand on your wrist.
Glancing back, you raised an eyebrow in surprise at Hinata's sudden action. "What are you—"
The tangerine boy had exchanged his lighthearted expression of just minutes ago with a look that you could only describe as properly motivated. "When we make it to Nationals, promise to give me a chance."
All around you, the gym seemed to fade until only Hinata was in your line of vision.
When we make it to Nationals, he had said, not if.
Unable to respond, you found yourself nodding because who were you to kid yourself at this point?
Tumblr media
The Karasuno Boys Volleyball Club did, in fact, make it to Nationals, but unfortunately lost to Kamomedai High School in the quarter-final round while Hinata spent his time at the hospital.
Hooked up to an IV line and dressed in one of those flimsy hospital gowns, Hinata looked unusually weak laying down on the bed. The others had left not long after you had arrived though some took more convincing than others.
"Next time, you can keep your scarf to yourself," you said, cutting the silence short with a lighthearted remark.
Hinata smiled weakly at that, his hand coming to rest atop your folded ones on your lap. "Don't worry about me. I'll be fine."
You shook your head. "Obviously, you can't take care of yourself." Slipping your hands from under his, you took the hand warmers out of your pockets and placed one in each of his hands. "Luckily, you got me."
His face lit up. "Oh, do I now?"
Warmth spread through your body as you looked away from his hopeful gaze. "Well, you did make it to Nationals."

Imagine requested by @theshyprincess : You take his virginity
Pairing: MG x Vampire!Reader
Warnings: smut
Disclaimer: I am not supporting minor and adult relationships but for the purpose of readers backstory, we are allowing it. Especially considering that is basically what all the shows are about if you think about it. Also I have nothing against MG but I just thought it would be a surprise to not have them dating. Also I thought the idea of the boy being the Virgin is a little more unique considering all stories I've read for this particular request are all girls having their virginity taken, so I thought I'd be different. Also the age of reader isn't completely known to me but I wanted her dating Kol when she was 16 and since they dates for 3 years she must be 19 but I'm not sure if you can stay longer at the Salvatore school unlike normal school. Hope you enjoy !
Since I started the school, Milton's always had a little crush on me but of course me growing up and developing into a women only intensified that crush and here we are. He's not a bad person but I haven't ever seen him in the way he wants me to. But of course he asked me to the back to school dance Lizzie thought would be a good idea to through and of course I couldn't say no. See a few weeks ago, he wouldn't have even dates asking me considering my ex boyfriend is not only and older more intimidating man, not just a vampire but a Mikaelson. Yup, you did hear that right. It wasn't supposed to happen but it did.
See Hope was going home to New Orleans to visit all her family at Christmas around 3 years ago and since I didn't have anywhere to go she invited me. So I went with her met her family and everyone was really nice, but her uncle Kol was particularly nice to me. We were only meant to be staying until the 28th of December and then going back home but Hope was convinced to stay till New Years by her Uncle...Kol. So there we were New Years in New Orleans, drinking champagne. The countdown began, Kol and I were stood in the back and three bottles of champagne had been shared between us both alone. It didn't take long for him to make his move that night, 5 minutes after midnight we were both intoxicated, horny, hot and naked. The amount of times it happened that night, without us giving a care in the world. That was what most of our relationship was like, but I'm afraid it got to careless and he cheated on me with a girl called Davina. He tried apologising but I wasn't hearing any of it, three years down the drain because of lack of loyalty and a bottle of white.
So here we are present day, 20 minutes before the dance and crying into my pillow. Just because I wouldn't hear Kol out doesn't mean the thought of him isn’t heart-wrenching. I pulled away from the pillow, praising myself for using waterproof mascara accidently. I walked to the mirror ran my fingers through my hair, wiped the fresh tears off my face and straightened out my dress. I walked out the door and locked it behind me, walked down the hall and down the stairs to the big hall, where the dance was. I pushed the mahusive brown door away from me and walked into the hall, MG greeted me at the bottom and led me to the middle of the floor.
He grabbed ahold of my waist and hand and started swaying us to the music.
“Look y/n I know that your probably heart-wrenching about breaking up with Kol, so this is the only time I'll mention it but I am sorry. Even if it worked in my favour.”
I looked at him, tears pooling in my eyes. I don’t want to tell him I can't see him that way but I have too eventually, so it might aswell be now.
“MG look. You are the sweetest man I've ever met and your funny and incredibly handsome and any girl would be lucky to have you, but I don't see you like that. I think your amazing but it's going to take me a while for this Kol thing to blow over and I can't give you hope for something to happen when it's more than likely it won't. I appreciate you asking me to the dance and always being there for me but we aren't ever going to date MG, I am sorry.”
He looked down at the ground a gripped me tighter. He looked back into my eyes.
“Eh it was a long shot anyway. It just sucks that you don't feel that way about you, I don't think you quite realise how much I do really like you.”
I smiled slightly and looked him the eyes, I giggled slightly before I spoke.
“What you mean, when you spend hours getting Josie to teach you how to bake everytime I'm upset so you can bring me some food? when you sprain your wrist getting Lizzie to teach you how to dance to impress me? when you sit in your room crying to yourself when you think about me with someone else? when you blackmailed Kaleb into teaching you how to fight property so you could protect me ? I do see all of this Milton and I've tried so hard to feel the same way, it makes me the only girl who wouldn't fall for it. But at the end of the day, would you not rather have me as a really good friend and never lose me or date me, something goes wrong and then we never speak again.”
He had tears in his eyes and he decided to twirle me.
“You saw all that ? I guess I would rather never lose you.”
We looked deeply into each other's eyes and grinned.
“Okay so we can either continue dancing and be boring or go steal Ric's bourbon and Emma's red ?”
He laughed and dragged me out the hall. We snuck into Alaric's office and grabbed the drinks we then took ourselves to Emma's office and stole her brand new, very tasty, expensive bottle of red.
Around 1 hour later, we were waltzing around the halls together with empty bottles in our hands and stumbling into everything around us. We then heard Alaric calling us from round the corner so we opened a cupboard and slotted ourselves in. It was the janitors closet, so I watched through the grates in the door so find Alaric. He was looking around completely clueless and I was silently laughing until I realised how close in proximity me and Milton were. The fact that we were intoxicated probably didn't help. His member swiftly brushed against my behind and turned me on more than I realised. His hands travelled down my waist and his mouth did the same but to my neck. His warm breath fanned on my neck.
“We might be safer in here, away from innocent minds and prying eyes.”
His big soft lips brushed against my neck and my eyes rolled back. I suddenly sobered a little but he wasn't completely with it. I turned around so we were facing eachother and his member was definetely an important factor in the conversation now.
“Milton, honey... have you ever done this before ?”
He shook his head and still continued his movements. Points to the guy for confidence, seriously. I mean what's the worst that could happen, I can't get pregnant because I'm a vampire and he's drunk anyway so he wont't remember that it even happened. I'm still not entirely sure I will yet.
I lifted my dress up and kissed him roughly.
OUTFIT
He pulled away from the kiss.
“Wait stop. Just before we do this... you looked really beautiful tonight.”
I smiled at him in awe and kissed him again.
“Thankyou Milton.”
I ripped the buttons of his shirt and kissed down his chest down to the waistband. He started breathing really heavily.
“Milton, calm down.”
He nodded and slowed his breathing. I smiled and undid his belt and slipped his trousers down. His buldge prominent through his black boxers. I used my hand to stroke his clothed member whilst placing little kisses around his man region. His eyes started to close with pleasure so I ripped his boxers off and flicked my tounge out to collect the pre cum dripping from his tip. His breathing started to quicken as I took his whole cock into my and swirled my tounge around it as I did. His tip collided with the back of my throat and already his dick was already throbbing. I jumped back up before he came and I kissed him passionately. He grabbed my throat and pinned me against the wall.
“I’m okay with teasing but that was too far. Let's see how you like it.”
He lifted me up and ripped my panties off. He held me on the wall and thrusted his cock into me with no warning. It was a very surprising gift. He kept doing it until I was just about to cum, he pulled out and kissed me. We made out for a couple of minutes and he then lifted me higher and stuck his face in between my legs and stuck his tounge straight into my entrance. I was nearly at my peak again when he pulled away.
“Okay Milton, I've learned my lesson. Just please let me come.”
He lowered me into his dick once again and my orgasm was fast approaching. As soon as he's finished his fourth thrust, I released all over his cock. Squirting into his stomach and my legs. He started to rub my clit and I squirted even more. I couldn't handle the pleasure. It was overstimulation at it's finest.
I jumped down with a grin on my face and pulled my dress back over my head. Milton was putting his suit back on before he spoke up.
“The no panties thing was lucky wasn’t it. It's like you knew it was going to happen.”
I laughed and shook my head, I opened the door.
“Don’t get to cocky Milton. It wasn't for you Kol was meant to be coming tonight and whether I forgave him or not, I've been super horny all day. I needed some release and I knew he would give it to me.”
He laughed with me and he walked me back to my room, where there was a surprise waiting for me.
“Kol?!”
He looked at me in horror and walked into my room slamming the door behind him.
“Milton thank you for tonight, it was great. But I need to make sure he doesn't go rouge.”
He smiled and I left him alone. I walked into my room and I'm telling you, i'm dead meat.

I'm always amazed how you come up with such high quality content and I'm always waiting eagerly for updates from you 💕💓💘
pairing: jung jaehyun | readergenre: slice of life au / fluffword count: 2,948author’s note: i’m so elated that you sent such a lovely request in! i’ve been meaning to write about him, so i’m super happy you’ve given me this opportunity. i definitely have a few portrayals in mind for him, but i decided the soft, adorable route would be great for this one! i’m just… thank you. it really makes me happy to know that you think my work is high quality and you wait for my updates ;w; you’re a high quality reader, and you gave me so much motivation for this!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
You wondered if he remembered you.
If somewhere deep down, he has you etched into his memory like you have him etched in yours, forged by the seldom chance meetings in the hallways and occasionally met glances on this very same street. If somewhere deep down, he actually remembered that day. It was a silly thought, of course. But when you peered out the large expanse of glass with the fleeting view of vagabonds and the beckoning shop across the street where he manned the frontline with a smile as warm and inviting as the bakery itself, you found it hard to forget him even after all of these years.
“You could actually try talking to him, you know,” Ten pointed out. He snickered when you jumped at his close proximity and sudden appearance, only letting loose a single sharp peal of laughter upon your display of nearly dropping a rather hefty volume on self-help about mindfulness onto the carpeted floor.
You scowled slightly in response. The only sound emitting from you was the book getting placed carefully in its slot, punctuating your meager embarrassment with an unintentional thwack.
“How long has it been since you’ve giving him the love eyes, Y/N?”
“I have not—!” you paused. Your frown deepened at his amused stare. “What?”
“You’re absolutely bullshitting! Why don’t you actually try talking to him? This isn’t high school anymore, y’know. You can actually go up to a man and ask him out.”
You guffawed at the sheer prospect of doing that. Of course, you could. But would you do that? Hell no. You liked to think that Jung Jaehyun was part of a time where nothing really mattered besides letter grades and grade-point averages.
High school in itself was a fleeting moment in time that you both cherished and kept at a distance, though he made himself an exception just by existing; you just didn’t know what to expect if you decided to open up that can of worms. He was perfect, really. A basketball point guard, top student in English, music, and most obviously, home economics, and kind, invigorating, and enigmatic all the same. You didn’t know him like you wanted to, nor did you really know him very much at all (unless you counted that one meaningful conversation you shared with him). To talk him again would be nice, to catch up over these past couple of years, to finally have a moment that lasted more than just a couple minutes in between classes. God, that would be a dream.
But that was all it was, wasn’t it? He probably doesn’t remember me like I remember him… You shook your head, hoping that was enough to will away the thoughts and the very faint memories prickling the back of your mind.
Ten deadpanned and met your gaze, “So, you’re going to spend your entire time back in town just staring at the love of your life through windows instead of actually pursuing him like you’ve been dreaming of for God-only-knows how long?”
“I don’t love him,” you retorted, rolling your eyes as you went back to stocking up the bookshelves. This time shifting the large cart between the two of you for easier access, and to create a barrier for whatever he was trying to insinuate. “I’m back to help out the shop, not stroll down memory lane with some guy I talked to like once in grade school.”
Naturally, it was a failed effort.
Just as he grabbed a book, gaze flickering over the title to put it into place, he said, “Perhaps letting you know that he stopped by the store a few times to ask about you wouldn’t mean very much then, huh?”
You paused. Your eyes narrowing from the silver font of the title to the silver-haired man beside you.
“Hm?”
“What?” he blinked his stupid, cat-like eyes in innocence. “Did you need me to repeat myself?”
“When did he—?” you paused for a second time, already knowing you fell right into Ten’s trap. “Stop messing with me! There’s no point in getting my hopes up when I know he has never thought of me like that.”
“So, you do care then?”
“I don’t,” you responded stiffly.
“Are you sure?”
You shook your head. Of course, you fucking did. You just didn’t want to give that little shit the satisfaction of being right, again.
“When have I ever led you astray when it comes to Baker Boy over there, Y/N? You were so sure he had no clue who you were back then, but can you remember what I told you and what happened after that?”
Your lips formed a small thin line, almost a pout but without the playful pretenses as you’ve always flashed at him.
Of fucking course you remembered. It was one thing to know Jaehyun knew your name, but it was another thing to actually talk to him about your writing and hear him read his favorite poem to you aloud. You didn’t know why or what possessed him to do this, but it was senior year. And it was all you could think about even now, returning for summer break, back to where you got to see him without the crowd and watchful eyes of peers.
“C’mon, Y/N. Was he really just some guy from high school?”
“Shut up,” you sighed, sideying him as you put a few more books up onto the shelves. “It was ages ago.”
“And somehow you’re still thinking about a what-if with him.” Another thwack punctuated the statement.
You didn’t like where this was headed. And you stated so with a grumble, “Or you’re pulling some wizarding bullshit on me just so I’ll do what you have planned in that evil, little brain of yours, demon.”
“Actually, I prefer being called Cupid.”
He laughed as soon as he turned back on his heel and met your perturbed expression. A part of him leaned on the entryway toward the reading room, where a few passerby congregated. Some of which appeared to be couples of different tiers—the old-timers, the honeymooners, and the just-beginners.
The feigned discomfort on your visage faded while one of longing took its place. You didn’t particularly care for relationships now, but you remembered wanting one so badly when you were younger. You remembered a time where you only dreamt of interacting with Jaehyun, somehow only seeing him at the far distance most people saw any idol of a sort, before that day in Miss Calinao’s classroom. You remembered talking to him and watching the crush fade into something else, a possibility that perhaps you weren’t a stupid kid secretly chasing (read: ogling) a guy after all. You knew now that you didn’t need a relationship, really, that if you were to engage in Jung Jaehyun, then it was simply to catch up and reminisce, nothing more.
But what if there is more? The voice asked, sounding more like Ten than what you would’ve preferred. He was off finishing the rounds for strays on the coffee table, returning some of the teacups to the kitchens for later washing. You had drifted from that area to break room after double checking your checklist and found nothing else needed to be done to your relief, though it left more room for your mind to drift than you preferred.
A small wave of a hand blocked your focus, while the bemused titter of your coworker snickered at you once more. Instead of saying what you heard in your head like part of you expected, Ten asked, “Did you hear me?”
You shook your head before letting a loud sigh loose. “What do you want now, demon?”
“You’re on your fifteen, right?”
You glanced at your watch and then nodded slowly. It hadn’t occurred to you until then. Perhaps you could wander around the street… maybe glance at the bakery on your way to ShareTea. You had no actual reason to walk inside anyway.
“Do me and Nana a favor—!”
You blinked, “Wha—” What’s he up to…?
“—and grab us something from across the street.”
Goddamn demon.
/
Your own heart trembled as you walked toward the cream- and sky blue-colored building.
The very path was familiar.
Each step taking you back to a simpler time, where daydreams were less about your future job and more about ways in which you could bridge the acquaintance gap with Jung Jaehyun and become something. It was purely innocent back then. Always a hope and a scenario that brought you two closer; after all, you were both workers to neighboring establishments. How cute would it have been if you two had gotten closer back then and gone to work together? Left for home together? Maybe he could’ve walked you home. He seems like the type—
You cracked a small smile at the thought and felt your cheeks burn as soon as you got to the sidewalk. There were hardly any people around, a result of the summer heat, that made the prospect of entering both frightening and actually quite relieving. There wouldn’t be any possible familiar faces trying to engage either of you in conversation, or, well, engage Jaehyun in conversation. You could see him at the cash register and a few others scurrying in and out of the kitchen, but the sight wasn’t what beckoned you forward. It was the smell.
Even from the entrance of the book shop, you could smell the vanilla extract wafting off the assortment of sponge cakes. Some of them came in small and stout, tall and long, and somewhere in-between, each in a vast variety of colors and designs that made your stomach ache for a taste of the familiar softness and warmth only they could elicit above all other desserts. The most popular and your favorite, hands down, was the strawberry shortcake.
It reminded you of him the most.
You knew he decorated that one the best. Each one a work of his, right down to the way the dollop of cream perfectly stood beside the carefully sliced strawberries to the carnation circle wrapped around the middle. The scent was like a blast from the past, taking you right back to the days when you stopped inside for a few treats for your coworkers at the bookstore and when Ten decided to push you inside in hopes of giving you the necessary push that you always needed when it came to your highschool crush. But what gets you was the scent, because that was very much Jaehyun as well.
His smile was exactly like the dessert he was best at—soft, sweet, with just the right amount of warmth. And the moment you met eyes with him after the chime of the doorside bell, you were greeted with that very smile.
Truthfully, he looked very much like his high school self. Still handsome as ever, with his features much more filled out and prominent. His head of chestnut locks fell atop his forehead in haphard array, cropped at the bottom so the top was the fullest; dark brown eyes still alight with interest and invitation; and, small dust of flour brushed across his nose and near his cheekbones.
He said your name with a greeting. You realized it was with a hint of surprise and an undeniable twinge of happiness that you have only ever been privy to once a few times before, but you couldn’t deny your own swell of happiness as you walked up to the counter with a smile of your own.
“Hey, Jaehyun.”
For once in a very long time, you were saying his name to him directly, and it felt like a flutter off your lips. Almost so casual it was unreal.
His smile matched his eyes as he asked, “How’ve you been? I take it you’re back for summer break as well?”
You nodded, “I’m helping back at the shop across the street. Like old times.”
“Old times,” he repeated, giving an appreciative nod. “Well, I’m glad. It’s nice to see such a familiar face these days.”
Glancing around, you could definitely see the lack of people. A part of you hoped that his statement meant more than just seeing anyone from high school, but the realistic part of you knew that that was a silly, high school-like desire.
“I see that. Seems like baked goods aren’t very popular in this heat huh?” You tilted your head at him, “you really haven’t seen anyone from high school?”
“Unfortunately, I’ve seen too many people from high school. The ones I don’t talk to as much, I mean.” An interesting look passed over his face, something akin to fondness you would say. But you didn’t think that meant anything. Even if he did say that not many people he talked to stopped by… all things considered, you should be in that category, really.
“Well, I hope I’m not part of that unfortunate high school bunch,” you laughed a little. Part of you already expected some change in his expression. Maybe something that would give away his true feelings, but he merely looked alarmed and shook his head quite fiercely.
“No, no. I promise you, you’re part of the best bunch. In fact, I was hoping to see you around.”
You blinked hard, wondering if you heard him correctly. He gulped immediately upon your lack of response.
“I—I—I mean, well, yeah. I stopped by the bookstore a few times—for books, of course—and to see if you were around. And I did see you a few times not too long ago, I’m sorry for not stopping by myself. I, truthfully, have been working some courage to do just that.”
“What? Really?” You couldn’t even stop to mask the astonishment, and your cheeks paid the price for it.
“Y-yeah,” he laughed nervously. “It’s just… I feel like we didn’t talk as much as I hoped we would in high school. I know we got to before graduation, but I wished it had been sooner. I’m not sure if you remember, but what you said about my recitation really meant a lot back then. Gave me quite a bit of courage to go off of these past few semesters.”
“I—um—I’m really glad to hear that. It’s a pretty big surprise for me, honestly. A wonderful one at that. I’d like to thank you for what you said about my work, too. It’s helped me with all these writing workshops I’ve had to do for class. I think back to that day and it keeps me going forward with everything, even when it feels like writing is the bane of my existence.”
“I’d like to hear about how those are going, maybe see what new things you’ve cooked up since you last shared your work with me… if you don’t mind, of course.” It was like him to be considerate. And, the soft velvet tone of his voice only accentuated this.
Even when your heart was trembling with nerves that it may actually fall out of your chest and onto the tan wooden floors, you told him you didn’t mind at all.
“Really?” His eyes lit up when he asked, and you nodded with a smile.
“Yeah, I’d love to catch up over lost time with you sometime. I’m free in a few hours actually… if that’s alright with you.”
He nodded, “It’s perfect. I’m done at four. Have you tried that one poke place on Anderson yet?”
You shook your head, “I’ve been meaning to, though!”
“Would you like to go there with me then?”
“Sure, I’d love to.” You paused, letting out a sheepish laugh before asking. “Today at four, right? I just need to make sure I’m not dreaming.”
He laughed as well, allowing some of the dust on his nose to fall just a little.
“At four,” he said to reassure you. “So, I totally side-tracked you from whatever made you come in here but anyway—what can I help you with?”
“The usual, if you can remember.” You added, “It’s alright if you don’t—”
“—Two strawberry shortcakes, a three cookies, and a mocha log, right?”
“O-oh, yeah. Wow,” you said, a little dumbfounded. “You remembered.”
“Of course, I remember all the orders of my favorite customers,” he said this so casually, yet you could see the hint of flush becoming prominent beneath the flour.
You snorted, hoping to mask your own bout of embarrassment. “Now I find that a little hard to believe. But that’s cute.”
“It’s true! I promise, it was a pleasurable pastime to have you come in for my strawberry shortcakes. Even before I was actually any good at them.”
You remembered that, though this “rough” period hardly lasted a few weeks before he got the hang of the inner-workings inside the bakery. You still loved them to this day. Probably would’ve loved them even if they were terrible anyway.
“They were… decent.”
“Well, I appreciate you for enjoying my decent shortcakes, and I hope they’ve gotten better with time.”
You handed him the cash as soon as he handed you the bag of goods, and received the necessary change before walking toward the door.
“Well, I’ll let you know at four.”
“I can’t wait.”
Both you and your inner high school self smiled to yourselves, Me neither.

(When you returned, you found Ten’s attention fully on you, with eyebrows raised and an awaiting smile. You knew what he was waiting for, but you simply shoved his mocha log his way before grumbling and short and sweet—
“Shut up, Cupid.”
“Don’t you mean dem—you know what, I accept this. You’re welcome, by the way. Thank me at your wedding, okay?”
“Demon.”)

Request: Tara tries to set her brother up with her cute neighbor Liam. (turns out they were already dating but haven’t told anyone yet.)

“Jesus fuck.” Liam said shakily, flopping on to the bed next to the equally sweaty man that he had just rode like a jockey in the Kentucky derby.
“Yeah.” Theo panted, from beside him. They both laid there for a few minutes catching their breath and letting the sweet smelling sweat dry. Liam rolled off the bed once he could feel his limbs again and stumbled around the dimly lit room in search of his clothes. His pants and briefs had been easy to find as they were right next to the bed. He found his shirt in the hallway missing a few buttons and one shoe on the stairs. He located his other shoe by the door along with his keys and wallet that had been dropped on the floor when Theo had shoved him against the wall as soon as he entered the house.
“Moving a little quick there Dunbar.” He heard taunted from behind him making him look over his shoulder to find a still naked Theo perched at the bottom of the stairs. His mouth watered and he had to shake his head to keep from marching over to him and having an encore performance.
“I’m late, my new neighbor invited me over for dinner, and SOMEONE told me he had an emergency and needed me.” He accused with a pointed stare, shoving his wallet in his jeans back pocket and trying to find some way to get his shirt lapels to lay flat without the buttons.
“An orgasm is an emergency when I haven’t heard from you in a week.” Theo said as he walked over to him and slapped his hands out of the way so he could undo a single button and then re-button it one slot too high so that the shirt would stay closed.
“I was moving and lost my phone charger. You do know we work in the same building right? You could have just come and talked to me like a normal person.” He quipped, moving to step away but Theo’s hands held strong in his shirt keeping him immobile.
Theo snorted, “You share a room with Hayden and she is positively the most annoying person I’ve ever met.”
“This is the third shirt you’ve ruined Raeken.” Liam sighed in annoyance while gripping Theo’s hands to pull them off his shirt so he could leave.
Theo smirked, the smirk that had gotten Liam to fall into bed with him accidentally last year and not so accidentally for the last six months.
“You like it when I rip them. Your eyes get all stormy and you make the sexiest noise every time.” He swooped in and pecked him on the lips, nipping the bottom one before leaning back and Liam cursed himself for trying to follow. Theo released him and picked up his keys from the floor, dangling them on one finger in front of him to grab.
“I’m late.” Was all he could manage to get out, desperately trying to convince himself not to launch himself at Theo. He quickly grabbed his keys and spun towards the door, pulling it open. But froze at Theo’s next words.
“Me too. My sister is setting me up with someone and is going to KILL me.” He said nonchalantly. He clenched his fist ignoring the sharp sting of metal keys digging in to his flesh. He shouldn’t be jealous, he really shouldn’t. They weren’t even dating; hell they weren’t even friends. They had just been sleeping together at least twice a week for the past six months.
He slowly turned to look back at Theo who was now pulling on his boxers and jeans that had been discarded in the living room next to the couch. “You have a date…?” He questioned and the words tasted like vinegar in his mouth.
Theo shrugged, and pulled the tight black long sleeve over his head. Liam could feel the tingling feeling of anger rising within him. Theo stalked towards him and Liam saw his eyes scan his face.
“Is that a problem?” Theo questioned looking directly in his eyes. Liam looked away angrily and clenched his jaw.
“No.” He pushed out, even though it was clear that it was. He felt Theo’s hand grip his chin and turn his face back, silently demanding he look at him.
“Are you jealous?” He asked with a quirked eyebrow. Liam went to look away again but with a nudge from Theo’s hand that was still holding his chin, he returned his icy blue eyes to the warm green ones.
He decided not to answer that, not trusting the words that might come out of his mouth. So he instead opted to shoot a question right back. “How would you feel if I told you I was going on a date right after we just had sex?” He retorted with an arch in his own brow.
Theo’s eyes narrowed and swirled violently, matching the tightened grip he felt on his chin, and the unmistakable tick in his jaw.
“We’ve never talked about this… about us.” Theo said quietly as he gently ran his thumb over Liam’s bottom lip. Liam shivered from the cool pad of Theo’s finger against the sensitive heated skin, the intense gaze that they seemed to be locked in, and the soft words that fell from his lover’s lips.
“What’s there to talk about?” Liam asked earnestly, not knowing what kind of relationship they even classified as. Friends with benefits wasn’t exactly fitting as they weren’t really friends, they fought more than an old married couple. Fuck buddies didn’t really work for them either, because usually that only happened occasionally and what they had was way more frequent. Dating was laughable because that would require them to actually have to see each other outside of Theo’s bedroom or the teacher’s lounge or the janitor’s closet or the back of Theo’s truck.
“Do you want to be exclusive?” Theo answered the question with a question just like he had. Theo looked like he was holding his breath and Liam didn’t realize he was holding his until his lungs started to burn.
“Is that what you want?” He sputtered after finally pulling some much needed air into his lungs.
Theo let out a little growl and narrowed his eyes. “Stop answering my questions with questions! I asked you first.”
Liam sighed and shrugged. He wasn’t good at this, good with words, he was more of a physical being. So he did the most physical thing he could think of as answer answer. His hand shot to the back of Theo’s neck and pulled him down to meet his lips in a bruising kiss, in which he answered immediately.
“I want you. I don’t know how the rest works.” He said between quick breaths after pulling away.
Theo smiled and leaned his forehead to his. “I guess that means we’re exclusive then.” His voice raspy and low. Liam smiled back and pulled at the hair on the back of Theo’s neck which made Theo gasp as his eyes darkened.
“I’m late.” He repeated for the third time and rushed out of the open door that had been left from his first attempt to leave.
“TEASE!” He heard yelled after him and he just laughed and continued moving out towards his car.
When he got back to his new apartment building he rushed up the stairs to his floor and knocked on his neighbor’s door. A few moments later the shorter brunette swung the door open and smiled at him.
“Hey Tara! Sorry I’m running a little behind, I need to shower quick but then I’ll be right over!”
“Okay sounds good, dinner won’t be ready for another thirty minutes.”
“Perfect, be right back!”
He made quick work of his lock and hurried to the shower, washing the dried sweat off of him and throwing on a fresh pair of jeans and a new button down. He grabbed the bottle of wine off the counter that he had bought for the occasion and made his back over to Tara’s. He knocked and heard a muffled 'come in' and entered the apartment. They stood in the kitchen talking as she put the finishing touches on their meal when a loud knock sounded from the door.
“Liam, would you be a dear and go get that? I have to finish the gravy.” She said with a smile and he nodded setting down his wine glass before moving through the small living room to the door.
He twisted the knob and pulled it open.
“Hey T, don’t kill me I promise… Liam?” There stood Theo, freshly showered and in delicious dark jeans and a maroon sweater. Liam cocked his head to the side and let the confusion hit his face before he found himself spun and pushed against a wall with warm lips attached to his.
“She told me she had a new neighbor that was a teacher but I never put it together.” Theo breathed against his ear before he nipped it roughly between his teeth making Liam gasp and grip his shoulders tightly. “That’s for teasing me.”
“Liam, who was at the door?” Tara asked and Theo and Liam shoved apart just as she was entering the living room. “Oh, so you did decide to show up.” Tara said coldly.
“Liam this is-”
“Theo,” he said sticking his hand out to shake, “Tara’s brother.” He finished with smoldering eyes and his telltale smirk. Liam stretched his arm out to reciprocate, too confused to do anything else at the moment. “Nice to meet you.” Theo purred.
“Well you showed up just in time brother dearest… dinner is served.” Tara commented, completely oblivious to how quiet Liam had gotten and the looks Theo was throwing him. She spun on her heel and walked back kitchen. Theo still had Liam’s hand in his and intertwined their fingers as he pulled them both in the direction of the dinner table, only releasing his hand when his sister returned with bowls of steaming food from the kitchen.
They chatted more than they ate and pretty soon Liam had forgotten that they were pretending not to know each other… because in reality they didn’t. He didn’t know that Theo and his sister had been adopted by some really wealthy doctors. He didn’t know that Theo was allergic to all animals or that he had been going to medical school when he decided that he would rather be a teacher. He didn’t know that Tara was older than him by only 14 months or that he’d had a heart transplant when he was a kid. He didn’t know because up until now, he and Theo had never really talked. This might as well have been their first date. Tara told embarrassing stories of their childhood and he shared a few of his own. She looked so pleased with how everything was going and then Liam remembered that this was supposed to have been a blind date for Theo. He smiled at the man next to him, lost in thought about how the universe works in mysterious ways, when he felt a warm hand settle on his knee and then slowly slide up his thigh under the table.
He shot up from his seat and smiled quickly at Tara before asking where her bathroom was, moving towards it before he got an answer because her apartment was a mirror image of his so he knew where it was. He wasn’t alone long, Theo opened and closed the door and then was on him.
“Theo…” but Theo shushed him with his lips before moving to his neck and suckling at the spot that drove him wild. “Fuck.” He muttered, trying to keep quiet.
“Theo, we can’t?” He tried again but it came out sounding like a question because his voice dipped when Theo sunk his teeth into his collar bone.
“You’re so fucking hot; do you know that?” Theo mumbled before reattaching his lips to Liam’s. Liam nipped his lip making Theo pull back with narrowed eyes.
“We shouldn’t.” Was all he could get out right before his shirt was ripped open and buttons went flying. “God damn it Theo!” And Theo just smirked before wrapping his arms around him and pulling him back to his wet mouth.
“She knows.” He managed to get out while licking a path along Liam’s jaw, down his neck, and back to the spot he had just bitten. Liam let his head fall back, giving him more room to do as he pleased, and blinked up at the white ceiling as his eyes fluttered at the delicious sensation.
“Can we at least not do this in her bathroom? My apartment is literally 500 feet away.” He drawled but only after a moan slipped past his lips when Theo bit down on his nipple.
“Lead the way little wolf.” Theo said with a smirk as he backed away leaving room for Liam to open the door.
“Little wolf?” He questioned as he pulled his shirt closed and moved towards the front door. Tara was already waiting in the living room with a smile.
“I knew you two would be perfect for each other!” She exclaimed happily.
“Thanks for dinner.” He said shyly, acutely aware of the state of undress he was in.
Theo, not missing a beat and clearly ignoring his sister on the way out, brought Liam back to the nick name. “Wolf because you look at me like you want to eat me most of the time and little because you’re shorter than I am. Therefore: Little wolf.”
“Make it 4.” Liam said moving through his apartment towards his room.
Theo shut the bedroom door behind them and started to strip without invitation. A look of confusion on his face as he asked “4 what?”
“4 fucking shirts that you have now ruined.” Liam growled back at him even thought he was stalking towards him predatorily.
“We’ve been over this; you love it when I rip them.” Theo smiled and pulled him in roughly by the neck. “Now where were we… ah yes.” He talked to himself right before he pulled Liam’s hair at the base of his neck exactly how Liam had done to him.
Liam couldn’t help but let a small moan escape his lips at the feeling.
“Mine.” Theo rasped drinking Liam in.
“Yours.” He nodded before they spent their first night together ever, and it was the first of many.
Hope you like it!
