to no one's surprise, im rewatching reverie and thinking about the concept of the oakes children being on two separate paths in life, while being completely alienated from the fact that they had siblings before

and now imagine lark being the only one to hold that knowledge. lark, who already had to say goodbye to two of their siblings, who carries the weight of the crown knowing that it was what led rose to leave everglen, now knowing that everything could have been different.
