vented about smth in a group chat with some friends, was rlly just kinda looking for an 'aw man that sucks' mutual nodding situation. Instead i kind of misphrased things and gave off an impression that the thing was more serious than it actually is, so now i've got ppl concerned/telling me how to deal with a Worse Thing ☠️ and there's really no good way to explain/backtrack without 1. looking like a stubborn asshole who just doesn't wanna take their advice and is just determined to suffer/be stupid or 2. looking like a liar/someone who just exaggerated for attention

god please let them accept my clarification at face value 😭🙏 it was NOT as big a deal as they now worry it is and now i feel bad lmao i don't have the social skills to smoothly navigate this
