Can we have nsfw yandere 47
If you don’t write nsfw then can we have reader giving him the silent treatment?
Yandere 47 getting the silent treatment
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Notes: yeah i don't really wanna write nsfw, at least not now. fr kinda happy w this one so when I come back tomorrow and this doesn't have 803827349282 likes im gonna be so demotivated
Warnings: fluff, kidnapped reader
Tumblr media
This is just about the worst thing you could to to him
Honestly he would prefer it if you were crying, kicking screaming, fighting back
But the silent treatment??
Now, don't get me wrong, he has no problem with a darling who's on the quiet side
He's more than fine enjoying some comfortable silence with his darling
But it's the fact you're being quiet because you're mad at him that makes his heart ache in the worst possible way
Honestly, unless you're usually really talkative, it would take him a moment to notice, but ignore him enough and he'll notice
47 would probably last a few days max before he starts falling off the rails
The amount of extravagant gifts and gourmet foods (made by him ofc) will double as he tries his best to appeal to you
((your acts of service love language is showing babe))
And when that doesn't work he gets increasingly desperate
Man's on the verge of dropping to his knees and begging you to say something
Which leads to him following you around the house, sometimes subconsciously, in an attempt to compensate for the lack of communication
Then it becomes simply about not allowing you to ignore him
Once his self-control fully breaks he'll cage you in his arms out of nowhere. Probably snaking his arms around you from behind or pulling you back towards him when you try to leave the room
Tightly hold you, refusing to let go until you start talking to him again
Really a win-win situation for 47
Either you make out up with him or you're not moving an inch
"I know you're angry with me...what can I do to make it up to you?", he whispers into your ear with that deep, husky voice of his
You're left with no choice but to forgive him, 47 rarely initiates physical affection, and his gravelly calm voice right by your ear is certainly not helping
"...I'm not...mad at you....", you reluctantly mutter out, turning to face away from him as he smiles softly at your sudden bashfulness
god, he'd be such a simp for his darling its unreallllll

what do you think bsd is trying to say about war? do you have any other thoughts about political themes present in the story?
oh i have,,, thoughts,, for sure. also these are more loose threads that have been floating around in my head more than a concrete thesis so sorry if they dont make much sense as a whole
one thing i think is crucial to discussing bsd as a political story is to look at which countries' authors asagiri choses to include in the story.
obviously the main cast is japanese, but the other prominent characters come from usa and russia, and if you also take in characters from the light novels or ones, who have been foreshadowed to be important (like agatha), france and the uk come to mind. those are all states with imperialist past/present, and while there are none morally pure countries this specific selection is still pretty intense all things considered. many of the authors included in bsd were also involved politically one way or another (most had been active during the first half of the 20th century, and wrote about war one way or another)
the imperialism isnt really touched upon, unfortunately so, but ( and maybe this is just me being hopeful) i like to think its less about asagiri not seeing it and more about him not wanting to open another sensitive topic in an already complicated work of fiction.
ultimately i'd say bsd is anti-war. that's the most prevailing political theme, and one that has been slowly revealing itself and becoming more prominent the further we go into the story. worth noting is how elements that could've (and maybe should have) been shown as explicitly political avoided this framing in earlier parts of the story (fukuzawa's old profession, kunikida's ideals), but ig there's still time for that. the anti-war sentiment ties back to a lot of the works that the abilities are named after, esp in the agency. no longer human, thou shalt not die, the makioka sisters (tanizaki's light snow) are all prime examples (and kunikida's ability could technically be put under this too depending on how you look at it, since his war journalism is what made him a prominent literary figure). even if some of the authors had some questionable opinion's irl, the parts that asagiri choses to include always come back to the horrors of war.
decay of angels is another thing, given it's named after mishima's last novel, one that he left to his publisher on the same day he started a coup trying to restore the emperor of japan and commited seppuku. there was a theory i saw a while back that said bram wasnt actually a doa member, and the 5th person is yet to be revealed, and it'd be really interesting if we got mishima in bsd but he's still to this day a pretty polarizing figure (understandably so) and im not sure if asagiri would want to take that step, since it'd be a point of no return in terms of explicit politics in the story. and he's been pretty timid with that i mean look at the way he handles police brutality (cops in yokohama being portrayed as incompetent yet ultimately good people, jouno going from prime example of someone knowingly abusing their power to apparently caring abt the innocents, and this is obv a different, more complicated topic so uhh idk maybe ill talk abt it some other time adgsfgagd). idk it just seems like he's afraid to really push the ideas forwards, keeps them palatable to the general public although idk if this is a concious choice or not. im willing to give asagiri the benefit of the doubt bc of how he handles fukuchi though. people hate him bc??? idk he's not a twink and he killed someone ig but personally i adore him, goofy aah guy imo. it'd be easy to write him off as just an autoritarian crazy guy who wants to take control of the world for unspecified "greater good" but the arguments he makes are generally pretty compelling! and not just to readers, we see atsushi questioning the way world works and government's role after listening to fukuchi explain himself. its fukuchi's methods that are questionable not the ultimate goal of state abolition. and we still dont really know what his ultimate reason for doing all this is, just that he claims it's not revenge on fukuzawa, so im curious how this is going to get handled.
and the last thing is the brief anticapitalism theme in the guild arc but again, its like asagiri gave up on it before it became too prominent. fitzgerald is the ultimate capitalist and we see this esp in relation to steinbeck, whose dislikes list finansists in the enligh translation and capitalists in the polish one (no idea what is listed in japanese exactly). but fitzgerald is ultimately sort of redemed, with his (and poe's) wealth treated as a gag rather than a human rights violation
those are all the things that have been ping ponging around in my head and i hope this is in any way at least a little bit understandable. there are some things here that deserve a post of their own but id have to reread at least the last few arcs to talk about them in depth.

Sometimes it seems to me that some people cannot understand simple relationships. And therefore they draw wrong conclusions even when the thesis is fundamentally correct. I did not write here about the emerging news or photos because they all present one unchanging model. The more photos are shared on IG, the more I am convinced that the person/people presented there are not ZZH. When you compare photos shared until July 2021 and those that appeared after that date, you can notice a lack of consistency in their selection and method of presentation. The "new" photos are an unsuccessful attempt to copy photos that appeared on IG before July 2021. The aesthetics of the photos and the way the text is conveyed indicate that the profile is not run by the same person, or the same person does not have any influence on it. In addition to the photos from IG, I will mention two important issues here that some people miss, or that people carefully avoid this topic because they don't really know how to approach it. Foreign trips that took place after July 2021. As we know, such trips require a passport and, in many cases, a visa. What we know about the Chinese passport is that CN citizens need a visa to travel to many countries (including Hong Kong). To obtain it, they must submit an application and probably indicate why they need a visa. And also pay a "deposit", something like security. (this is my general knowledge, if something is wrong, please correct me.) The decision to grant or not to grant a visa may be a subjective decision of the officer issuing the visa. Let's think about how such an official would perceive a person who in his home country is called a tra1tor. A person who, instead of fighting to restore his good name, goes abroad every now and then to relax. In my opinion, such behavior does not look good, especially in a country that wants to have some control over its citizens. Would ZZH decide to travel so frequently when the proceedings in his case are pending and would he publicly boast about these trips? Additionally, he would have to pay this "deposit" each time he left. I don't expect an answer here, everyone should answer this question for themselves. The second thing is concerts. There are some elements here that are also important. The first is the visa I wrote about earlier - every CN artist going to concerts abroad should have an employee visa (I think) and the consent of the relevant state and industry organization for such work. It seems to me that without the consent of the state and industry organization, the artist would not be able to obtain a visa and organize a concert. In my opinion, this control is related to ensuring that the artist does not avoid paying taxes. That's why I assume that it exists, even though it is not officially mentioned. I don't have to write here which industry organization can issue such consents. We all know her very well since August 2021. Let's consider whether the organization that imposed a ban on ZZH would suddenly allow his concerts abroad and in CN without any objections. If it allowed concerts, why didn't it lift the ban? Lack of logic in the procedure? And he doesn't expect an answer here either. Finally, one more thing. The term "international star" and how this concept is understood. It's hard to be an international star if you're banned in your home country. No serious clothing, cosmetic or other brand will be interested in someone who is banned in their own country. No one will invite such a person to an important event in the world of fashion or the world of film. And such things prove that someone aspires to be an international star. Creating an alternative reality about an international star does not lead to anything, in the end both this person and his fans look pathetic and can be the object of ridicule. A little logic in thinking would be enough.

Hi! It's thesis anon. I need advice (again). I am still freaking out and I need help deciding which task I should do first, I have around 11 weeks left to do the whole thing. My question is, given the time crunch that I am in, which chapter should I do first: introduction or related lit? Keep in mind that I still need to make the framework and instrument so I could start coding my articles as soon as possible. I also freak out very easily so I'm not sure if I should start with the easier chapter (intro) or get started with the related lit (harder) so I could do the framework immediately after that? I hope you don't judge me too much for this, I know this is my fault but I'm in that panic stage where you need to submit a paper by midnight but have not started yet except I have 11 weeks but haven't started on it. Thanks again (I mean this with all my heart).
hi thesis anon!
bear in mind that I've only done one of these things so I can't say what's best but I can tell you what I did and what my advisor told me to do (also this would be my advice even if you weren't in a time crunch for what it's worth)
The introduction and conclusion were the absolute last things I did (well, aside from references ig). It's hard to write an introduction when you don't know what you did or what your findings were and even know you might focus more on why you're studying your topic, you have to keep in mind that that may change as you go through your data and analyze it so there's not really much reason to write your intro just yet
The first thing my advisor had me to do was my lit review and I think that worked out really well for me. It gives you the chance to orient yourself in the research, get a sense of how you need to refine your research question/focus, and you don't have to write it all out just yet (because, again, your research will likely change a bit along the way!) what my advisor had me do was an annotated bibliography so I collected a reading list and just did reallllyyyy detailed notes on everything I read. I did end up doing a brief draft to get a sense of what I had to work with and that helped me a ton when it came time to revise it for my final manuscript but it did change so I wouldn't stress about that too much necessarily
Analyzing your data is probably going to take the bulk of your time so I think its especially important that you go in with a good idea of what other people have done (really helps you shape your own research) and what kind of instruments/frameworks they've used that might help you
In short: similar to writing most papers, intros are usually best when written last. lit review and analyses are the most time consuming imo and also the most useful to do first
And thesis anon, my pal, my friend, I am in NO place to judge you lmao my thesis was absolute chaos and some of it was my fault and some of it wasn't and I think these things are always just a little chaotic! I'm not judging you and I hope you aren't judging yourself either
I hope this helps, if you need me to clarify anything let me know and please please please keep me updated!! I'm rooting for you!!!

Happy new year 2022!
First of all, I would like to say thank you to 2021 for giving me so many life lessons that I, myself, did not expect that those things could happen in my life. Second, I would like to say thank you to my family and close friends for being next to me every time I faced a problem. That endless advice, encouraging messages, support, daily questions such as “do you have your lunch yet?”, “want to go to Family Mart to buy some snacks?”, or “what should we order for today’s lunch?” are the things that help me stay alive (and sane) until now. Lastly, I would like to thank myself for not giving up, keeping the flame within this body to keep burning, so that I would not stop running towards my dream although sometimes I need to slow my pace down a little bit.
There are so many things that I did not realize to be such blessings. Since it is the new year, let’s just write down all the good things which happened. Invest in good things only!
Here is a recap of how my 2021 went.
In January, I received an award from my previous university acknowledging my excellent performance in academics. *shy cough*
In February, I went to Chiayi (嘉義) with my close friends and had the best fish head soup ever in my life.
In March, my advisor gave me a little surprise which brings me to where I am now.
In April, I had my master thesis proposal defense.
In May, I received an acceptance email for a Ph.D. program.
In June, I received an acceptance email for a Ph.D. program (again) at another university, received a certificate (which I believe is from a scholar society), received an award from my previous university (again), and had my online graduation.
In July, both of my parents got vaccinated (dad had completed two doses of vaccine, and mom was getting her first vaccine shot), and… *insert drum rolls* I had my final defense! Now I felt like graduating.
In August, I had my birthday (welcome 23!), cut my hair (it was the shortest hair I ever had in my life), prepared to move to another city, ate a lot of good food, and received my diploma.
In September, I moved to another city, bought myself some books, and got injured for the first time since I came to Taiwan (I fell while was walking because the road was too slippery).
In October, I got vaccinated.
In November, we celebrated our parents 25th wedding anniversary, witnessed for the first time how the monkeys at my school casually ran inside Family Mart and stole bread, helped my advisor present her paper at a conference (all eyes were on me since I spoke the first word, guess I caught their attention?), and had dinner with my current lab members.
In December, I won a lottery (though it was not big), braved myself to go out and eat at a restaurant by myself, had a decent Korean dinner with my seniors, and discovered a hiking trail that is just right behind my dormitory.
Wow. That’s a long one.
They are all simple, small things that I used to see as something normal, —other people can also achieve or have these—. But as I grow older, I appreciate all these “normal” things better. Guess I am more mature now 😊
Yesterday (or two days ago? I could not recall) I saw one of my IG friends posted a story in which she said that she would only say good things in 2022. Because now she has realized how strong the power of what she says or wishes.
I could not agree more.
When I started my first semester of my Ph.D., I wrote down all the things I want to achieve for this semester. I made sure they were all reachable and measurable. And what more important is, I wrote down all the details of how I could achieve them. I was confident. I kept saying to myself throughout this semester that “You can pass through this”. And it works. It works to the extent that sometimes the help I am receiving comes from the people that I least/never expect.
Learning from this experience, I (again) wrote down all the things I want to achieve in 2022, with details on how I can achieve them. They are not many (but this is not important). What matters is these goals will help me to keep myself sane and be a reminder that my life has always been blessed.
Now, the question is, where should I go for the Chinese New Year? How does Taitung (台東) sound?

Judy Chicago at 40, a blog post at 40
On the occasion of my recent entry into the 40s and my blog’s forthcoming 10th anniversary (April 2021), I present an irregular, informal, brief series of posts around some of my favorite artists -- what did they do / create their 40th year? Why do I like them so much? What’s my favorite work of theirs?
LFF is always open for submissions. This is just a playful random series to add to the text about women/art/feminism.  I do this research almost daily anyway, to attempt to recognize and remember all of the amazing women artists out there. This isn’t academic, this isn’t official, it’s just a few words from me complemented by images, as I figure out what I’m doing at 40...At end of this post are a couple of my drawings in tribute to the artist.
To begin, of course: Judy Chicago (I’m not giving a bio/visit her link). Definitely a controversial artist, and also (finally) one of the women/feminist artists who have “made it” into internationally recognized collections/institutions - ironically, this feat among her controversies.  I’m not going to go off on her feminism/controversies (if you wanna read one of my articles around her controversies check out my article in Artslant), rather mention a few things of note about her/work from my point of view.
In grad school (for art history), I was pondering what work(s) I should research for my thesis - of course it had to be around women/feminism, I had a million ideas...I was going to New York for a conference/fun and, at one of my grad advisor’s advisement (!), I decided to visit the Brooklyn Museum and Judy Chicago’s The Dinner Party. (I am also not going to review this piece - go to my Artslant article and/or  the link on the title.)
Tumblr media
Me, visiting The Dinner Party, for the first time in 2015.
My personal irony is that I was “one of those art history feminists” who was annoyed with Judy Chicago for having so much “success” - as if most people can name her as an artist at all. I didn’t think much of visiting the piece, but moreso like, if I’m studying feminist art, I guess I have to see this. But what’s the big deal about a table? We know these women now...
OK, so I was wrong. Even thinking about visiting it the first time I get a little verklempt. So, if you read my Artslant article you’ll get the idea about all of the aspects that make up The Dinner Party--amazing tremendous, multilayered, contextualized, educational piece made between 1976-79 with 400+ volunteers. What got me in this moment was seeing these names, these stories, these women - many I had never heard of - 1,048 altogether and in such a respected, reverent manner. It’s weird, growing up and most of your history is about men, when you’re a girl, you don’t really know your history. It’s a difficult thing to explain when faced with so much (missing) history (much of which Chicago and her volunteers discovered themselves).
So this was debuted Chicago’s 40th year - 1979. Pretty fuckin amazing. Chicago didn’t start out a feminist--at least, not consciously. But when she came to it- she went all out. I’ll mention 3 of my favorite works of hers.
Tumblr media
1971 exhibition announcement when she changed her name and came out as a feminist. As someone who is also recently divorced and changing her name, and you know, just being a woman at all, can feel like you’re constantly in a boxing ring. (Read more about this ad here.)
Tumblr media
Red Flag, 1971
Gosh I love this piece - how shameful it is to have a string showing, or even worse, blood on your pants? Even today, though thanks to social media periods have gained a little acceptance, this thing - this occurance that happens to many women most every month of their lives - is generally forbidden from conversations. Even carrying a pad/tampon in the hallway is “embarassing.” So yeah - this piece, in all its glory - appropriating a phallic shape (?) - focused on the red, beautiful, direct, real. Love. Read more about Red Flag here.
Tumblr media
Faith Wilding and Janice Lester, The Cock and Cunt Play, performance. “Womanhouse” Project, 1972, Judy Chicago and Miriam Schapiro
Womanhouse. If I were to say “all women need to know...” these artists/exhibits, I would say Womanhouse - on same level of The Dinner Party. I was not around sadly, to experience this full house installation created by Judy Chicago and Miriam Schapiro and their students in their Feminist Art Program in 1972 - each room themed around a different female experience - but this taking over, making the art the full experience - a woman’s experience - I can just imagine the thrill, and for men as well. The above image is from one of the performances that came in conjunction with the exhibit, The Cock and Cunt Play, which cracks me up - snippets can be seen on youtube.  Read more about Womanhouse here.
There’s so much more to Judy Chicago - all of her work - though my faves happen to be older - is stellar. Get on her site - https://www.judychicago.com/ - and explore.
So she debuted The Dinner Party at 40 - lines around the block at San Francisco Museum - I won’t be tackling anything similar - but this piece and artist undoubtedly impacts my work, perspective, artistically and otherwise. Many of my artworks are tributes to other artists, as Chicago too believes, in the importance of remembering who came before us - not an easy thing, when our history isn’t always written.

So the PV for the new LotGH anime came out and there were very mixed reactions to say the least. Besides the Ginga Eiyuu no Basuke and Kircheis jokes which I enjoy myself, I’ve been seeing a lot of people acting like it is now guaranteed to be shit. Now don’t get me wrong, I don’t like Kircheis’ design either and I have my fair share of concerns about the series as a whole, but I think that’s jumping the gun a bit. We have only seen a minute and a half of a hype trailer. That’s not even close enough to the material needed to make a fair judgment. Furthermore, I think that there are some good things that have been shown so far but they mostly get overshadowed by the reaction to the character designs. Because of that, I’ve decided to write about some of the potentially good things that I think Die Neue These has shown us thus far.
It’s Distinguishable from the OVA
I know some might disagree with me on this, but I was pleased to see that it looks like DNT is trying to be different from other LotGH adaptations. If it was just going to be the OVA with upgraded animation, it would be pointless. I’d rather just watch the OVA again if it was trying to be the OVA. There’s no meaning in trying to replicate something that just can’t be replicated. Since it looks like they’re working to make DNT distinct, it will have to succeed or fail on its own merits. In my opinion, that’s for the best and I respect the fact that they’re trying something different.
Cinematic Flair
Honestly, I was surprised that the PV was for a 12 episode TV series, because it sure didn’t feel like one. From the music to the lighting to the grandiose scenic shots, it seemed like a trailer for a movie. The transition from Reinhard’s raised to the title in particular was cinematic as hell. The theatrical presentation definitely fits the space opera genre. DNT might be going for a more dramatic approach which is an interesting possibility with a lot of potential. Also, some of the shot composition was just great like the shot below and the vollery fire of the Imperial ships.
Tumblr media
Music
There’s nothing known for certain about DNT’s soundtrack at this moment, so the only thing to go on is what was heard in the PV. The new music showed promise. It had nicely timed swells and fit the space opera atmosphere of the PV quite well.
It might be revealed later that the soundtrack will be entirely original with no classical music. As much as I love the classical music soundtrack, I think it would be an interesting opportunity to give LotGH a musical identity. Neon Genesis Evangelion makes me think of “A Cruel Angel’s Thesis” and “You Say Run” always comes to my mind when I think of Boku no Hero Academia. LotGH doesn’t really have a particular piece of music like that. The closest might be Ravel’s Bolero, but even then it is not distinctly LotGH.
If it ends up being the case that the new soundtrack is entirely original, what was heard in the PV has potential at the very least.
The Scenery
The scenery was easily one of my favorite parts of the PV. Look at this.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I need to see Heinessen now.
Animation
We haven’t been shown much yet, but what has been seen of the animation looks pretty smooth. That’s a step in the right direction and could potentially help the visual storytelling in the story a lot.
Additionally, the CG exceeded my expectations. When I first heard that the ships were CG, I started to get upset because of certain previous attempts at CG. It’s nice to be pleasantly surprised. The CG is pretty well done and could make the combat scenes more dynamic. There’s definitely potential there.
The Uniforms
Attention to detail was put into the new uniforms. You can tell. I would consider that a positive thing.
The Alliance uniforms were changed from air force-inspired outfits to a more naval uniform. It’s an interesting touch that stays in line with the spirit of the old uniforms. (Also, Yang’s little plant on his collar is really adorable).
The Empire uniforms stay in the spirit of the OVAs designs as well, as you can see with the collars of the higher-ranked officers and general look of the uniforms. I really appreciate the fact that differently ranked soldiers now have distinctly different uniforms from early on. It’s a nice detail.
Miyano Mamoru
To be completely honest, Miyano wasn’t my first pick for Reinhard’s voice actor. That being said, it makes sense why he was chosen. He’s popular, talented, experienced, popular, oh and popular. In my opinion he’s one of the best choices for the character out of the most popular male voice actors right now. Given his track record, at the very least we’ll get a solid performance from him.
Takagi Noboru
Takagi Noboru is the person in charge of the series composition (aka scripts/the writing) and I’m cautiously somewhat positive about him being in charge. My biggest concern for someone writing the new anime is that the person has no experience writing political dramas and stories with large casts. I have more concern about the large cast aspect because that’s easy to screw up. Takagi has a good bit of experience handling large casts from being in charge of the series composition of shows like Baccano! (a personal favorite of mine) and Durarara!!. I don’t know how well he’ll actually do with LotGH but I do think that he has some of the tools needed to handle it well.
I’m not a professional in the industry, so please understand I’m only looking at this from a completely inexperienced perspective.
The Staff of KnB isn’t Necessarily a Bad Thing
While I myself am concerned about them being the staff for DNT, there are a few potential positives about it.
The group has worked together in the past a bunch so they’re used to each other. Having a staff that works well together generally helps the final product turn out better.
The other thing is that they know how to handle a franchise. KnB and LotGH aren’t comparable at all, but the fact that they are both franchises remains and franchises work differently than a one-off 12 episode series.
The Ships
They’re beautiful and you can’t convince me otherwise, sorry. I love the little scifi touches they added to the Brunhild’s engines. There’s not much else I can say so have some pictures.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Before I finish this I’d like to address some complaints I’ve seen and explain why they are non-issues (at the moment at least).
“They’re pandering to women/fujoshi now! This isn’t LoGH!”
Interestingly enough, this is nothing new. Despite the reputation of the series here in America, LotGH wasn’t only for male “elitists”. In the August of 1986 which was two years before the 1988 OVA, Michihara Katsumi began her manga adaptation of the Legend of the Galactic Heroes novels. It was released in the bi-monthly magazine Chara, a magazine which printed Yaoi and Shoujo manga. And, uh, if you read through it it becomes even more clear who this was meant for.
Tumblr media
Alternatively, LotGH is not a women-only thing either, just the idea that LotGH adaptations have never been influenced by the female demographic is completely wrong.
“The characters don’t look like they have the same personality!”
This issue just confuses me. There are only seconds of footage of the main characters in the PV. How did you expect them to show you their entire character in seconds? This is especially odd since the PV was meant to show off the space battle side of the series. All of the characters typically look serious during the battle scenes. I’ve seen claims that Yang is now a cold-hearted person because of how he looks in a promo image meant to show his and Reinhard’s opposing paths. It’s not like that he hasn’t looked a bit harsher to illustrate the conflict in the past.

It should also be noted that Yang is an alcoholic plagued with survivor’s guilt, so yeah, he’s not going to look cute and laid back all the time. I’ve also seen similar claims like Reinhard being too cold (despite him being in battle and commanding his subordinates) and Kircheis not smiling or looking kind enough and looking sly instead. The first can easily explained with context, though I can definitely agree that Kircheis doesn’t seem as openly friendly as the OVA. However, there are subtle signs of Kircheis personality and relationship with Reinhard in the one shot we get of him.
Tumblr media
Kircheis has a raised eyebrow and a slight smile as he speaks to Reinhard. It shows their familiarity and the fondness he has for Reinhard. This is the exact opposite of contradicting his character.
“How are they going to fit 110 episodes into 12 episodes and three movies? It’s going to be rushed.”
There’s a huge assumption here. That is, Production IG is planning to tell the entire ten-volume story in just 24 episodes. Never have they said anything to suggest that they are going to do so. I like to think that such a prominent company wouldn’t be so stupid as to attempt that and completely butcher the story in the process. I’d say it’s likely that they are planning to end with the aftermath of the Lippstadt Rebellion.
“Why didn’t they just use the original anime designs?”
Easy, this isn’t the 80s. The OVA’s character designs are distinctly 80s and I love that about them, but that’s just not going to happen in 2018. The popular styles have changed as have the styles that animators commonly use. Sadly, curly hair is rare these days. I feel your pain.
Many people have misgivings about Die Neue These. I am one of them. I just think it’s important to remember that the PV had more than just the character designs and that the purpose of the PV was to show off the space opera-like war setting. There is nothing to indicate that the most important part of LotGH- the plot and characters- has been handled terribly yet. It’s certainly possible that it is badly written, but at this point it’s equally possible that it isn’t. Who knows how it will turn out? I certainly don’t.

Community Announcements: Events, Album Releases, Product Launches, Sales & More
Everyday we have a choice. We can support an up and coming artist, try a new family-run restaurant, join a boutique gym started by a local fitness champ or we could keep giving away our money to the handful of giants who already control so much of our commerce. Our daily decisions impact the kind world we live in; if we want a world where small businesses are growing and artists and creatives are thriving then we should support them with our time, money and attention.
Below, we’ve shared announcements submitted to us from the community. These announcements include product launches, new partnerships, artistic/creative releases, sales/promotions and more.
We encourage you to check back each week updates and we hope you’ll join us in support small businesses, artists and creatives.
And of course, we’d like to note that none of the below should be interpreted as advice.  You should consult with qualified professionals prior to making an decisions, especially medical or financial decisions.

The second project is something I have putting off a long time. I started a blog a couple of weeks ago. My first blogs are a tribute to Milton Glaser, one of the most important graphic designers and illustrators of the last half of the twentieth century who died recently. At a graphics conference in London years ago he told of ten things has learned. The blogs feature his thoughts. www.cappannell.com/blog
