it’s genuinely incredible how set uderzo was on making this narrative that literally everyone in the village is extremely aware of how Not Married asterix (and obelix) are AND how Absolutely Not Interested In Women asterix is. i feel like every five seconds someone decides to mention how asterix doesnt have a wife and asterix ALWAYS responds with ‘lol i will literally never want a wife’ it’s just so funny
