everyone compares vine and tiktok as if they aren’t two completely different apps with different purposes, like maybe us millennials are just old and out of touch now idk
#win rambles#i mean not to say that tiktok is great i personally do not use it and don't think i ever will unless i decide to use it to market my book#but it's not the same thing as vine adn comparing them is just dumb#it's just 'oh back in my day things were BETTER' like okay calm down everyone's been a dumb teenager#vine was used mostly for humor tiktok is used for all kinds of things#it's literally just a Platform#it's no worse than instagram#especially now that instagram is trying to BE tiktok k#and yes there's misinfo on there but there's misinfo everywhere#a lot of the criticisms i see have this air of superiority to them and it just feels like a way to feel superior to gen z#millennials SWORE they woudln't become the generation that punches down on the next but they definitely have#it's just how it goes#i say this as someone who is on the cusp of millennail/gen z but solidly identifies as a millennial#i watched VHS and had a boombox and a casette tape so i feel like that makes me millennial#anyway now i'm just rambling in the tags bc i had cold brew on top of my full dose of meds today so i am very talkative i'm sorry
