I reblogged this poll on the book blog a while ago that was "at what page count does a long book become daunting for you" and judging by reblogs, I'm realizing OP should probably follow up with a "what genre do you read primarily" poll 😅

#tbh i forgot that different genres/ages read at different speeds #i said over 500 cause i just finished a bunch of long adult historical/fantasy books #but people are saying 'over 700 because 500 pages of a YA novel are nothing'#and i was like OH RIGHT i used to eat 500 page YA books in like 2 days #anyway i picked up Loveless this morning and realized its nearly 500 pages... and then remembered i read Radio Silence in like 2 days #and i wasn't even rushing it #anyway. this is what i think about while waiting for my sinuses to calm down in the morning lmao
