GENSHIN BOYS WITH A FEM!THIN/UNDERWEIGHT READER???? ive always been rlly thin, so it’s not eating disorder related just a scrawny fem!reader
OOOOOO OKIE!! I've always been thicker myself so I hope I wrote this well! Thank you for your request and I hope you enjoy the characters I picked!!
─⊰💕𝔾𝕖𝕟𝕤𝕙𝕚𝕟 ℍ𝕖𝕒𝕕𝕔𝕒𝕟𝕠𝕟𝕤💕⊰─
{༻~Scrawny and cute~༺}
CW: Fem! Reader described as being very thin!, fluffy and sweet!
A/n: First time writing Gaming!! EEE so excited!! Hope I did him justice!!
(Includes: Lyney, Gaming, and Venti!)
𑁍༄Lyney:
You tried to stay perfectly still as Lynette measured you...how had you gotten in this position? You weren't really sure, all you knew was that Lyney was special ordering you a outfit for his next show and he'd asked his sister to measure you, only she seemed a little perplexed with the results. "You're eating right? You make sure to have three meals a day? Maybe even some snacks?"
You raised a eyebrow at her, "Yes of course. Why do you ask?"
She paused for a second, her features not giving any hint to what she was feeling, "Your measurements are just very small, for a second I was worried you might need to eat more."
"Nope, I was actually worried about that at first as well, but I always make food and she eats it. She's just naturally thin, which is exactly why I'm thinking you'll be perfect for the trick I have in mind...if that's alright of course?"
You and Lynette turned your attention to Lyney as he walked up to you, his eyes sparkling with inspiration as you contemplated his request. "Hmm do I get a kiss after the show?"
"As if you wouldn't mon amour~"
𑁍༄Gaming:
"Woah here let me get that for ya!"
"Watch your step, don't want you to fall!"
"Get to safety I'll take care of them!"
You'd heard them a few to many times lately, you knew Gaming was only looking out for you, he was a caring guy and he truly just wanted to make sure you were okay all the time...even if he was being a little to...over protective. Yes you were a bit scrawnier than he was...his claymore probably weighed more then you did, but that didn't mean he had to do everything for you..., "Hey Gaming? You know you don't have to do all that stuff for me right? I can do it just fine I swea-"
"Oh I have no doubts you could, I just figured when I'm with you, you shouldn't have to. Hmm how do I put this...you're one of the most precious things to me, so I want to take care of you." He scratched the back of his neck, a blush creeping onto his cheeks, "Maybe I was over doing it though...sorry. Promise i'll remember that for next time, for now lets enjoy some dim sum!"
𑁍༄Venti:
Venti wrapped his arms around your waist tightly and rested his chin on your shoulder, watching as ran your fingers over the details engraved in his lyre. He'd been teaching you how to play little by little everyday and now you could almost strum a whole song...but it still just didn't sound as good as when he played it, "Venti do you think one day my music will induce feelings like yours does? I want to play you a melody that leaves you feeling calm and happy, just like you do to me."
He smiled softly and kissed your cheek, his embrace growing slightly tighter around your slim waist, "I think one day you will make music that leaves everyone feeling calm and free, you have talent and a beauty even crystal flies would be jealous of."
You felt your cheeks heat up at his words and butterflies fill your stomach...one day. One day you'd play him a tune that explained every feeling just right and then when he held you tightly after, chuckling happily and making a joke about how he hopes he doesn't break you with his hugs...you'd tell him just how much you loved him and it would be the most perfect of days.
ଘ(੭*ˊᵕˋ)੭* ੈ♡‧₊˚~Have a nice day!~*.✧

You want a request? Sure, here ya go! 😀
Back when Genshin Impact first came out, a lot of folks compared it to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. (Some even thought Hoyoverse was directly copying Nintendo, if you can believe it) This little nugget of info was stored away in my head for some time, and now it's finally borne fruit!
SAGAU universe, bc ofc it is, where Creator!Reader would turn off the Genshin music and instead listen to Zelda tunes as they play! Nobody in Teyvat knows where these songs come from, but the Vision Holders who have heard them believe these melodies to be of holy origin. Something that connects them to their Creator, and is either shared to the masses or kept amongst themselves...a secret that only those blessed to be the Makers Vessels are to know.
If we're going the Imposter SAGAU route, it could be that our poor Creator is awaiting to be executed by the Genshin Cast. In an attempt to comfort themselves, they hum one of the songs that they love from the Zelda games (Zeldas Lullaby is always a favorite of mine personally) and the Acolytes overhear them. Whether this leads to more harm or to the Reader getting help, I'll leave that up to you.
Divine Melody
(Synopsis): After being transported to one of your favorite game you’re a accused of being an imposter but a melody changes the minds of Teyvat
(Tags/Warnings): Reader is treated as an imposter, reader almost dies, (if I missed anything lmk)
(Word Count): 770
(A/n): I remember that era, it was a ridiculous accusation to throw, and I hope this fulfills your expectations
A bright light shines in your face causing you to open your eyes
You find yourself in a grassy field and laying in the shade of a large tree. Odd you don’t remember falling asleep outside, this area looks pretty familiar. After a few seconds of trying to figure out where you are, you looked to see a statue
The statue looked absolutely majestic, walking to the front of it you saw that it was holding a glowing teal orb and the statue is in the likeness of Venti
The realization hit you like a ton of bricks
You’re at Windrise, you’re in Genshin
Excitement fills you and instantly began to run to Mondstadt City
Being transported to your favorite video game is supposed to be an amazing experience. Experience the world first person, interact with the characters, all that good jazz. That’s what you expected when you step foot in the city
Instead of the kind smiles you would normally see from behind your screen you were met with the people whispering amongst themselves whilst looking at you
Odd, you kept walking around the city until a knight came up to you and pointed his sword at you
“Halt, foul imposter!” The knight spat out. “How dare you come here wearing their holy presence.”
“I don’t know what you’re talking about. I just woke up like-” You were cut off by the sword coming closer to your neck
You looked around to see a crowd gathered around waiting for you, the intensity of the situation only grew and so without much hesitation you ran away from the knight and the crowd
You ran until you bumped into a person, looking up you see Kaeya
“Oh thank god! Kaeya please explain to these people that they got it all wrong, I’m not an imposter!” You pleaded
But why did he look at you with such contempt and disgust? Without a word from him he restrained you, his grip ironclad threatening to leave bruises to your arms
“I got them!” Kaeya yelled at the crowd
The mob gathered around you and bound your hands behind your back and the two knights lead you to a jail cell that had long been abandoned
Why were they treating you this way, you’ve done nothing wrong. Hopeless you curled up into ball on the floor and began to cry uncontrollably
You don’t know how long you spent crying when a knight came to get you from your dingy cell. She took you outside and you the moment you were out the sun blinded you. As you were lead through the street the people pelted rotten fruit at you
All that was going through your mind was “why”
Why are they doing all of these awful things to you, the yells of contempt was a stark contrast to the friendly smiles you’re used to seeing
As you got closer you saw the stake that you’re about to be tied to and set alight, the reality hit you and in a desperate attempt to calm your mind you begin to hum a melody that you would listen to while playing the game
You hum loudly to drown out the chants from the crowd. Strangely it comforted you, perhaps in your last moments finding solace in familiarity pushes the situation out of your mind.
You hummed loudly that someone heard you
“Stop! Stop! Stop!” A familiar voice yelled, quieting the crowd
You look up to see it was Venti who was standing before you. He gets down on his knees and looks you in the eyes
“That melody, sing it again.”
You kept humming the tune and the vision holders all had horrified looks on their faces, they all drop to their knees and bowed before you
“Your Grace, please forgive us for our grave mistake.” Jean said
“W-what are you talking about?” You asked confused beyond comprehension
“Your Grace, do you not realize that you are the creator of Teyvat?” Eula said
You ended the story and looked around at the faces of the children gathered around you. A story that is long behind you and now you dictate your time in teaching future generations the lesson
“What was the song you sang, your Grace?” A girl asked
“It was a song that the vessels would hear when I would pilot them, here let me hum it to you.” You began to hum the melody and as the song progressed you saw the children slowly get lulled to sleep. Finishing your tune you stood up from you chair and whispered “Goodnight, my sweet children.”

Watching From The Sidelines
[SAGAU X Shapeshifter!Reader]
Synopsis: You were teleported to genshin as their God, however there's also an imposter. You had gold blood and could simply prove your existence with a cut but you decided to let the imposter take your place. Now you get to drink cocktails and watch from the sidelines the chaos it causes.
A/n: sorry this is so short and very rushed.
----------------------------------------------------------
You remembered playing genshin late into the night, falling asleep around 2:34 am. Next thing you knew you woke up to entirely new place. Sitting up, feeling the cool breeze of the air, you were laying on field of grass. You slowly got up, looking around frantically.
"w-wha? Where am I?..." You looked at your hand and realized the change of clothes. It was very basic but comfortable, most of your body covered by a cloak. You decided to put your hood up as you hear the sounds of people.
You decided to follow the sounds of cheers and joyous laughter. You noticed a large groups of people surrounding someone. That's when you see it....it was you.
Your doppelganger stood there with the archons.
That's when it hits you, you were isekai'd into genshin impact. And the fact it has to be a SAGAU scenario too!
You immediately noped out of there and basically ran the other direction, never looking back.
After what felt like hours, you collapsed onto the ground, crying. Laying on the ground in a fetal position sobbing your heart out. Wishing, praying hoping to God this was just a horrible nightmare.
You tried pinching yourself but that didn't work and felt the pain. Which only upset you more and made you cry even harder until you passed out.
Once you woke up, you felt like utter shit, you finally soaked at the idea that this is your reality and you have to live with it.
Usually in these scenarios, the presume imposter is hunted down by the archons and killed. But what if there's no imposter in the first place? If you could change your looks and identity then bingo! problem solved!
However there's an other issue, blood.
You looked at your hand, wincing at the thought.
' I have to check. ' you glance around the area, looking for something sharp like a rock or something. Once you do you, you bit your tongue and make a small cut on your hand.
" ow. " You mumbles, and yup you were right.
Gold blood.
You shook your hand and it regenerate itself back to normal. Throwing the rock aside into a pond.
You walked over to the pond, looking into the reflection.
----------------------------------------------------------
Years past
It's been years since, our 'beloved' creator has returned.
But in reality it was just an imposter who taken the role of God.
The real "y/n l/n" was now m/n, who owned a wealthy business with their knowledge of modern technology and goods.
They had more mora then they could count, and lived luxuriously.
After they found out the whole god thing years ago, they also realize they had the powers to prove it too!
Shapeshifting being one of them, they simply changed their gender and how they acted and was able to stay hidden.
After that they had to prove a wealthy business man their ideas and get them into fruition and the rest became history.
And now they don't have to worry a single thing.
Besides the annoying piles of papers you had to do, you practically could do anything you wished.
Which brings you to your favorite thing to do, watching the downfall of your doppelganger.
You brought an building at liyue and from your balcony sipping on expensive wine watched the mess that is happening at the temple.
People were starting to realize the imposter wasn't the true creator and lose faith in them. The imposter tried so hard to keep everything in their clutches but it wasn't working.
Even the archons we're starting to be unfaithful to them and things were getting worst by the day. And all you can do is gleefully watch from the window/ balcony in intrigued.
You knew the imposter was going to be executed but you didn't care. Because that could have been you.
After the imposter gets executed, there's a high possiblity the archons will search for you. Until then you sit in your office, scribbling away at papers drinking your wine in peace.
I might write reactions and or part two of this. Idk yet depends how well this does. But I really like this idea, also you know that meme of little girl with house on fire behind her? Yup, that's y/n basically in this au.

head.
you give him head!! gender neutral reader, all characters are of age
contains MANY characters (some are mentioned multiple times) so most likely got the one you're looking for, if not let me know and I'll add
nsfw under the cut
he would moan and whimper when getting head. would absolutely lose it when you first wrap your lips around the tip of his dick, almost cums then and there. whimpering nonstop from the moment you first touch his dick to the moment he cums. and even after that. like, I'm sorry but he's so touch deprived and since that area is so sensitive he'd just lose it :( poor boy, please give him lots of head!
levi, kazutora, reki, kageyama, scaramouche, aki, angry (souya), chifuyu, megumi, sugawara, armin, shinichiro, mikey, tsukishima,
would love receiving head so much he'd beg for it daily LMAOOO you're just too good at it. he'd place his hand on the back of your head and help you take all of him, will get to set the speed to his liking aswell. won't cum in your mouth unless you want to, loves releasing on your face and chest. remember to close your eyes when he's about to cum!!
ran haitani, kuroo, scaramouche, gojo, hanma, baji, jean, joe, oikawa, bokuto, atsumu,
likes giving head more than receiving it but he'd still love when you give him head. is a bit shy when getting (and giving) head. will moan for sure and probably thrust his hips upwards. you'll know when he's about to cum when his moans get louder and more breathy, will also tell you that he's about to cum. wants to give you head after this.
albedo, yuuji, langa, yamaguchi, asahi azumane, inumaki,
he loves receiving head just as much as giving it. will leak so much precum that it'll drip down your chin, moans and will definetely praise you too. he'd let out soft laugh and a breathy moan before saying something along these lines: "you're doing so good" "your mouth feels amazing" "you look so good like this". would also ask if he can give you head after you finish giving him head.
ITTO, tanaka, nishinoya, hinata, eren, denji, bokuto, rindou, kazuha,
"are you feeling okay? is it too much? we can take a break if you need to. tell me if it gets too much to handle, I know I'm pretty big." he repeats these sentences SO MUCH. just wants to make sure you're okay and it's not too much :( he's a big dick guy, obviously, and he knows it. he knows it can be hard to handle so he wants to make sure you can handle it. will caress your cheek when you suck him. he loves seeing you with his dick in your mouth btw!
nanami, draken, daichi, erwin, aki, geto, mitsuya, osamu, zhongli, xiao, cherry (sk8), kuroo,
he's in control the whole time. will degrade you, in a way that's not sexy at all. forces you to take it all in your mouth, will have his hand on the back of your head so he can push you down whenever he wants to. and trust me, he WILL cum into your mouth. has a big dick so good luck to you. your jaw will hurt after this. probs little to no aftercare. personally, I would never suck these guys off but you do you! (maybe I'm just a hater)
sukuna, toji, taiju, mahito,
softer version of the above. will give good aftercare, won't cum in your mouth if you don't want him to. will most likely degrade you but also praise you. lets you set the speed unless you want him to, he'll be glad to do so. will moan.
sanzu, happy (nahoya), hanma, atsumu (?), tartaglia/childe,
spoiler alert, I don't play genshin LMAO Idk if they're accurate, Idk if any of these are accurate but I hope you enjoyed reading these anyway

Hogwarts Legacy inspired me to draw and have fun joining fandom again
Warning: Long!!! and this is just my random talk.
I've been using this account for 3 years now (may be 4, I don't remember correctly). I created this blog mostly for posting my The Arcana fanart, and get to know very talented artists/writers and their Apprentices. That time was super fun, joining a fandom helped my drawing/water-coloring skill improve a lots. And another reason why I was so active at that time is because I was in a long-distance relationship, I didn't have much to do after work except playing games and draw, haha, like everyday.
And then after 8 years of dating we broke up, because I could not leave everything behind and come to Australia to live with him without marriage. I quitted my job at a travel agency after the covid 19 second outbreak in Vietnam. Anyway, that is when I lost my willing to draw. I still logged on Tumblr thou, occasionally, but I just didn't have the feeling to hold my brushes again. At the same time Nyx Hydra was acquired by Dorian, The Arcana is not the same anymore. I still love the original story but I refuse to play the new stories on Dorian app. The fandom friends I know on Tumblr also deactivated. So I stopped drawing & left the fandom for almost 2 years.
Still I was lucky, early 2021 I found a new job in gaming industry, and met my husband there. It didn't take us several years to decided to get marriage. Last year was super busy, and I still play games, like alots. Genshin Impact, Baldur Gate 3, Red Dead 2, Tiny Tina's Wonderland...They're wonderful, but none of those ignited my willing to draw again. I couldn't explain , I tried to make fanart but always left the piece unfinished...
Until last month my husband bought me Hogwarts Legacy.
I've known about the game since its release, but didn't purchase it until this year due to my personal schedule and I wanted to finish other game first. Playing HL is different, like I see my 15 year old self stepping into the world I wish I could be there but couldn't. I was so excited! So many time I ran around the castle (casting revelio repeatedly and) shouting to my husband about how beautiful the environment is. And I met Sebastian, I thought he's cool but still didn't pay much attention on him until he took me to Felcroft. And all the shadow questline, all the lost and tragedies, the unfinished ending (why Avalanche?). So it has been decided, I wanted to be a part in this fandom, there are so many things could have been added in the game but the dev decided to throw them away, I needed to pick up my pencil and brushes.
And I'm glad I did. It's been 2 years since I joined a fandom and I almost forgot how fun it is. I've met so many nice artists who warmly welcomed me, and whose fanarts are too good that push me to improve my own drawing. I've read many beautiful fanfics that made me sobbing and giggling. It's like I've found the feelings I lost, and I want to thank you all for that.
Damn this post is too long already....
What I tried to say is, I don't know how long I will be here until my personal life pull me away again. But right now I'm on fire and I'm happy HL took me back here. After all I appreciate seeing you guy's contents everyday, and your nice comments whenever I posted something on Tumblr. I hope you don't mind if I post everything on this blog not only HL but also abit of my personal life, I just don't see the need to create another side ones. To end this post, here's the view from my company windows :"D
#sorry for the fking long post#I hope you all have a nice week ahead#please don't mind my english#personal#hogwarts legacy

Can you explain your reasons for not liking Scaramouche's redemption? I'm also not a huge fan of how he was written.
Of course!
One of my biggest reasons is it comes off to me as if Genshin is too scared to make characters who are blatantly evil and against the traveler playable
Which to me…honestly I don’t understand their mentality with it
IMO I think it’s perfectly fine to have characters who are evil and/or against the traveler to be playable! It brings a contrast, a flavor of sorts to the playable cast of characters
I was hesitant at first to say Genshin was too scared to make morally questionable/wrong characters playable, but considering La Signora’s dead, Ei’s EGREGIOUS redemption arc, and Scara’s redemption arc, I’m seeing a very blatant trend here, one I’m not a fan of
Now I know Arlecchino got released and is playable, I, however, stopped playing the game awhile back, I honestly don’t even feel like returning to it because all the content is wearing me out, along with the writing decisions and how I personally think the writing is just getting extremely convoluted, so I can’t really speak on Arlecchino’s matter because honestly I don’t know if her personality was watered down or not
My biggest issue is I feel like the redemption arc not only butchers what could’ve been a great character, I remember the days of when Scaramouche was just an asshole and that’s all he was, just an evil person, and not when he was some uwu little guy who does nothing wrong, but the arc also honestly ignores all the things Scaramouche has done and would rather pin the blame on other characters Like traveler why on Earth are you teaming up with the guy who killed Teppei??? You know, the NPC that died in the Inazuma arc, the NPC who’s death enraged the traveler so much that the traveler just ran headfirst into a dangerous situation without a second thoug-Ohhhhh right his death was just for shock value and doesn’t really hold any weight on the traveler! Right!
Scaramouche was also responsible for getting La Signora killed, however this is never addressed and just swept under the rug It’s writing decisions like that that just makes me so frustrated
I think it would’ve been fun if Scaramouche was just some blatantly evil guy, not every character needs some sob story, a whole plot point where they just whine and whine, and then some half-baked redemption arc where now he’s completely woobified and just an entirely diff character, minus the sass
Like he’s just sassy now, he’s not even mean anymore 💀
It disappoints me because there was so much potential to him and I would’ve been perfectly fine with him just being plain evil, I’m at that point where Dottore, a character who is just straight up evil, has no reason behind it, has no remorse for his actions, is a breath of fresh air and the only harbinger I enjoy because of that I do hope Pantalone also just ends up being a blatantly evil character, albeit not as extra as Dottore, and it would be fun if he monologued like Bedman from Guilty Gear XRD (I might even draw him to some of the monologues LOL)
But anyway yeah, just to sum everything all up in short bullet points
-Characters doing heinous things and then turning around, spewing a sob story, and becoming completely watered down woobified versions of themselves is overdone and tired in Genshin
-Scaramouche would’ve been great if he just stayed as an evil character, not every character needs to be morally in the right or on the traveler’s side, let the traveler have more significant enemies instead of nameless NPC #928291 ISTG 😭
-Scaramouche’s redemption was not earned
I know people are going to disagree with me, that’s fine, just make sure to keep it civil if/when interacting with my post
Anyways thanks for the ask! I can also do a post on Ei’s botched arc if needed or anything of the sorts, I like ranting about this stuff!

only to us.
a/n: i went to play genshin for the first time in a while to see what's new, and i just ended up spending three hours walking around liyue with my wife ganyu! (what's new is wriothesley and his nice butt. 10/10.)
fandom: genshin impact
character: ganyu
genre: general / fluff
info: established relationship (can be read as either platonic or romantic); reader is an adeptus who fought in the archon war; this takes place pre-canon timeline
warnings: might not be canon-compliant
synopsis: it was time for new wine and new customs.
word count: 0.9k
part of the "yearning has hold of me" series.
Ganyu
The war was over, and a flurry of long-overdue celebrations brightened up the harbour.
While the people were busy making merry and drinking with the adepti, Ganyu found you among the rocks that formed the Guyun Stone Forest. Perched on one of the highest peaks jutting out against the bright blue of the sky, nestled in the shrubbery and trees that had begun to find a home on the things that were once weapons, you were lying on your back with your eyes closed and face toward the clouds.
The war was over, and it was the first time in a multitude of years that Ganyu had the pleasure – or was it relief? – of finding you in your human form.
"The crowds wore on me," you said, as a means of greeting, your voice echoing in the quiet. You beckoned her over by patting the patch of grass to your right, eyes still closed.
With the urgency that her experience in the past years has ingrained in her bones, Ganyu found herself running for most of the little distance between the two of you. She ran until she came close enough to take up room beside you, settling onto the grass and marvelling when she remembered it had not been there when she saw the Guyun Stone Forest formed.
The war was over, and she felt the need to keep reminding herself.
You rolled onto your side to face her, eyes now open. Ganyu mimicked your actions, shuffling closer and resting her head on a folded arm.
Your eyes burned into her, golden and unblinking, and she thought she might need to remind you, too, that the war was over.
"Rex Lapis was asking for you," she said, instead. "He'd like to share some osmanthus wine with everyone who fought with him."
The grass tickled her cheek as she spoke. A mass of clouds floated aimlessly in the otherwise empty blue expanse above the two of you. She waited for a response, alternating between watching a Geo crystalfly flit about some distance behind your head and watching you.
You kept your eyes fixed on her the entire time.
If it had been anyone else, Ganyu would have floundered under what felt to her like scrutiny. There had always been an intensity about you. It was not foreign to her, having been born and raised among full-blooded adepti and knowing the word would apply easily, believably to any one of them.
Even so, your gaze did not unsettle her the way that the eyes of others would.
"The mortals do make the best osmanthus wine," you said, finally. There was a smile teasing at the corners of your lips, a darting out of the tongue across your bottom lip as you imagined a taste.
She should have brought one of the smaller vessels from the harbour to share with you. There were too many offerings of wine to count at the makeshift shrine to Rex Lapis and the adepti in the camp at the foot of Mount Tianheng. Peacetime was new, and so the two of you could form a new custom of drinking out of the same cup of hammered iron. Perhaps—
You reached over to her and brushed a few stray strands of hair behind her ear, and it brought her out of her thoughts and back to the present with you. Before you could pull your hand away, Ganyu curled her own around the bone of your wrist and put your hand to her cheek.
It was cool to her skin, like the waters of the river in the Guili Plains of her girlhood summers. Familiar and always welcome.
"I found you," she said, echoing the words she spoke to you first, from a time long ago.
The breeze was beginning to pick up speed, ruffling her hair and then yours as it passed. A few amber leaves twirled about you. Your hair fanned out behind you, the breeze having run its fingers through the length of it, longer than it had been in years but still shorter than you were inclined to keep it.
Ganyu would like it very much if you would leave your hair to grow, for her. Selfishly, because she imagined you would be extremely attractive with your hair long. A little less selfishly, because seeing you with a blade in hand to trim your hair as close to your scalp as you could manage was a habit you had cultivated in wartime.
The war was over, and you could afford to live looking forward now that it was behind you.
You hummed, cupping your hand along her jaw, and stroked the pad of your thumb along her chin in tune with a song she did not recognise. "I knew you would find me," you said. "I know you, Xiao Yu. You always do."
Ganyu closed her eyes to better focus on the sound of your voice, on the touch of your hand. It was a folk song you were humming, one of the many that were native to the tribe of sea-dwelling adepti you came from. She could not remember if it was a lullaby, or if it was a hunting song.
The breeze tapered off, and the grass that sat between your body and hers stilled in their frantic dance. Your humming became louder as it filled the air, and this space that crowned the Guyun Stone Forest belonged only to her and to you. This space, where she was more alive than alive has ever been.
It was surely a lullaby, with how her eyes seemed to weigh heavier as her attention to your song began to wane.

dead poets society chars but i assign them random things ive seen happen on the internet / random videos or posts i remember (not based on anything it is genuinely at random):
neil - tony crynight's fnaf animation series which i dont entirely remember the plot of but i'll try to describe. so basically its fake mangle lore to say that mangle is the way they are (all broken and shit) because Mangle kissed Foxy and Chica got jealous so she took a Machete to Mangle to Mangled them. and then the gang tries to save mangle or whatever
todd - fluffle puff, someones pink fluffy mlp oc who was in lesbians with chrysalis (i think thats her name, i never watched mlp). mosy notably known for the animation to pink fluffy unicorns dancing on rainbows. also the creator is a pedophile i think
charlie - sorrow tv and his entire existence. sorrow tv was a youtuber who made videos reading out reddit videos in silly voices. there was a whole posse of youtubers who did this, and he was the most popular just bc his voice acting was rly good. i still watch him every couple months even tho he hasnt posted since 2021.
cameron - does bruno mars is gay? i think about cameron man door hand hook car door every day, so i obviously need to point to my third favourite silly trying to be serious sentence. most ppl know this from game grumps but im not linking a game grumps video on here. rumour come out!
knox - venturiantale, the youtube channel usually consisting of 4? siblings playing gmod together usually. the channel itself was ran by this guy named jordan i think? and his siblings has their own channels. i knew them best for their fnaf gmod videos and their fanmail videos. turns out they were all very christian? and the whole family was abusive and way deep into said christianity if i remember correctly, one of the siblings who left first made a video on it. the venturiantale channel hasnt posted in like 2 yrs and the slow death was kinda sad to see bc he (jordan) blamed it all on The Algorithm.
meeks - that one nagito komaeda kinnie back in Whenever it was cutting off their finger to. i guess prove that they were a nagito kinnie frfr? if u dont know danganronpa lore then nagito gets his hand cut off and replaced with junko enoshima's hand because sheeeee got... executed? i wont lie i dont remember this part of the games story sorry. but essentially that one person was like I Gotta Do That........ anyway im jk the audio was faked and nothing actually happened + the person is fine LAWL
pitts - the key of awesome's parody of tiktok by kesha called glitter puke. theres no lore to this the key of awesome is / was ? a silly little song parody channel. this video was made in 2010 and it kinda shows in some moments but other than that it holds up. just checked and the key of awesome is Not still going, it ended 6 years ago and the last video was actually rly good and genuine
keating - onma island is buried a treasure chest. ok so basically mr beast made a video talking abt a private island and he buried. a treasure chest for a viewer to find. during the video he said "on my island is buried a treasure chest" but it sounded like "onma" which this one youtuber (pinely) found rly funny. it became an inside joke with his friends (one of whom got a tattoo) which then became a lowkey meme. mr beast even tweeted it so. good lord thats a lot of links sorry there isnt a know your meme page or anything
chris - i dont have any links for this one sorry, im just gonna tell the story and u have to believe me when i say i swear it happened (its very a believable fandom story im sure you will). so back when the genshin impact was still in its fairly early days (late 2020-early 2021) the phrase "hear me out" to refer to characters n stuff started becoming popular I THINK at the same time. so people in the genshin fandom were like hear me out with increasingly more heinous shit. started with characters, then npcs, then enemies, then bosses, then weapons, the stamina bar at one point, etc. a lot of these were jokes or straight up bait but back then (maybe now too - i havent been part of the genshin fandom for a LONG time) people took bait far more often than they didnt. so it became a "genshin fandom bad" gotcha to point out That One stamina bar post.
ginny - $300 junko enoshima wig! sorry for double dipping with danganronpa it was just the first fandom i actually started like. on purpose noting fandom happenings with + a lot of shit happens in that fandom. this one cosplayer who at the time was called snowthesaltqueen / badguyincorporated started selling pre-made (and styled) junko enoshima cosplay wigs for $300. which WOULD be fair (i think? idk how cosplay commissions work) if said wig was styled well or quality at all, but what was ACTUALLY provided was a rly basic wig base and few clips with no note or no nothing, and rly flat. like on purpose. like that was "the styling". also you may recognise this cosplayer for 1) getting in trouble when they did a cosplay photoshoot (danganronpa cosplay funnily enough) in a graveyard, posing ON a gravestone. 2) KILLING SOMEONE. they were screwing around with a firearm and fake pointing it at someone and then they accidentally shot them.
i could do this forever like actually. i have SO many internet stories in my brain its actually bad.
#desire mona#if any of u remember any of these TELL ME#my personal fav is onma island i think its so funny#also the one i discovered most recently#onma island is buried a treasure chest#dead poets society#neil perry#todd anderson#charlie dalton#richard cameron#knox overstreet#steven meeks#gerard pitts#john keating#chris noel#ginny danburry#mona internet factoids#tw pedophila mention#tw gun violence

The Sky of Tevyat, The Irminsul Tree and Summoning Circles
Before we start, here’s a disclaimer. These are just weird things I’ve noticed while playing Genshin Impact. I could literally have no ground to stand on at all. I do not know all the genshin lore so I might point out something that isn’t what it actually is. A lot of this information can be linked to characters that I main so you can excuse me as someone who is biased right away if you so desire. I’ll try to keep this as unbiased as possible though. Some thoughts in this are actually thoughts of my wife @rest-in-bees. This post is me seeing a bunch of dots and connecting then but if you’re looking for a conclusion, there is none.
So I’m sure at some point all of us have looked up at the sky of Tevyat and have gone, huh, that’s the shape of a flower!
I tried to take a clear picture. It was kinda hard. But it’s a ten petaled flower with multiple layers. I at first said ‘oh that’s just the sky programming overlapping and also because of my camera angle, whatever’. And I carried on with my life. I like looking at things from weird angles and messing around with my camera, so I kept looking at this flower and carrying on with my life. Until I noticed that the sky only looked this way in Mondstadt, Liyue, Inazuma and Forest Sumeru. In Fontaine and Desert Sumeru, the sky doesn’t look like this.
You could just say that they decided to do better for these areas! Mondstadt, Liyue and Inazuma were early on nations and so they have a basic sky that isn’t really well done. At first this is what I believed. But then out of curiosity I decided to see if there are finer tuned details in the Mondstadt sky that would make it seem like they actually somewhat worked on the sky.
The sky does have details to it. Also to test things out I decided to see what it would be like if I ran all the way from the chasm to Desert Sumeru while looking up at the sky. When you enter Desert Sumeru the sky gets incredibly unclear because of ‘sand’?. As soon as you exit this area, the sky is completely different. I thought this was interesting. Of course, we can still argue that this is still nothing significant! Which! True!
Anyway, I mostly thought of this and then let it go. But see, I happen to be a Wanderer main. And so one day while looking up at the sky I decided to mess around and completely flip the camera, which resulted in me staring at Wanderer’s hat.
And I kind of froze because…I was looking at a flower in the sky made of stars, why am I looking at one on Wanderer’s head where there are even dots on the black parts of the hat that look like stars? So then I asked my wife, hey, what kind of Tevyat flower does that look like? A Niloptala Lotus? And she said, maybe? But I think it looks more like a Kalpalata Lotus because it’s layered petals.
Quick Kalpalata Lotus 101. Kalpalata Lotuses are local specialities found in the forest part of Sumeru. They are used as ascension material for Nahida and Dori. The fun thing about the Kalpalata Lotuses is that legend says that they are the first thing to have ever been created in the forest. Their roots are said to be connected to every plant across Tevyat including the Undying Divine tree. Amurta scholars have proven this wrong, but people still believe it. You can find this information in the Genshin Archive under Materials.
So the Amurta scholars disproved this. But then it occurred to me that we do know a plant that has it’s roots connected everywhere across Tevyat. The Irminsul tree. Canonically, their roots are said to cause Leylines and you can find its roots in the form of petrified trees in the Chasm, Dragonspine, Shirokoro Peak, and even Mt. Damavand. The Frost Bearing Tree is considered part of the Irminsul tree as well. But here’s the fun fact. Kalpalata Lotuses are not lotuses. They look like lotuses but they’re actually false. Weird when you connect them to their lore similarities to the Irminsul tree, but then you remember that the Irminsul tree can literally falsify history.
Another thought. We’re told that the sky of Tevyat is fake.
Anyways, needless to say, I started to become drawn to anything that looked even remotely similar to Wanderer’s Hat or the flower in the sky or Kalpalata Lotuses.
This is when I remembered that I’d seen something that looked like Wanderer’s hat before.
Istaroth’s moon dials. They look almost identical to the ring behind Wanderer’s back which is what his hat becomes.
But then I realized that Wanderer’s little ring in his windfavored state reminded me of summoning circles. Namely:
I remembered when Ningguang summoned the Guizhong Ballistas and Venti’s skill. I’m sure there are other characters who have displayed this, I just can’t quite remember them at the moment. So then I thought…interesting? What do other summoning circles look like in game? So I went to go look.
The ones I found in Fontaine look eerily like the same kind of pattern and like Wanderer’s hat. I thought it was really weird that Wanderer’s hat and ring in his windfavored state looked exactly like a summoning circle (this is when I developed a theory that when he tried to erase himself from Irminsul, someone summoned him back and his hat is his summoning circle, but that’s a different post).
And then I remembered.
Venti’s statue in Mondstadt is surrounded by a flower like structure that is nearly identical to the sky flower. And Venti’s statue says ‘The Gateway to Celestia’. And I wondered if maybe it was called that because it’s a giant summoning circle that connects Celestia and Mondstadt.
And then I wondered if Tevyat’s sky above Mondstadt, Liyue, Inazuma and Forest Sumeru is a giant summoning circle. Which is probably a crazy idea. But. Whatever. I have interesting thoughts sometimes. Time to go work on an extensive post about why Wanderer is incredibly sus character lore wise.
#genshin impact#genshin impact theory#the skies of tevyat are fake#wanderer genshin#scaramouche#irminsul tree#long post#god the post i'll make about wanderer's character lore#being really sus#is gonna be longer#i have many thoughts#but no organization#take this dump of thoughts#god what has the world come to#i'm making genshin impact theory posts#on my tumblr#see#i saw someone talking about the sky on tiktok#but not to this extent and said#fuck no#i'm making this post before someone else beats me to the punch#but i refuse to do this on tiktok#or reddit#so now you guys have to suffer through it#we can pretend i'm a mostly one piece blog#after i'm done with the theory posts

Prologue: Starfall
TW: sagau, imposter au, suicidal thoughts (not sure if it counts but just to be safe)
_______________________________________________
Today started as any other day, you woke up, had breakfast, and got ready for whatever you had planned for today, that is until you opened up Genshin Impact, deciding to get the daily commissions done with. When you opened the app you consumed by a blinding light and then all was dark.
You woke up on an all to familiar shore line, looking around in a daze, you thought it was a dream until you tried waking yourself up and realized this was real. The panic set in rather quickly afterwards, what were you going to do about life back home, what COULD you do? You remember that Mondstat isn't far from here, maybe Venti knows something.
Time skip (because we all know how this plays out)
You were running, not bothering to look back. How, WHY could this happen? Why would such kind people be drawn to blood shed? Who is this divine being they're talking about? Where's Nahida during all this? Questions you don't believe you'll get the answers to.
As you ran you look at your phone " If one app brought me here, it's possible another will take me away." You thought. "Either way this ends today."
You ran and ran, until you were at the edge of a cliff. "Nowhere to run heretic, their grace demands your head!" One of the many soldiers of Teyvat exclaimed. "If this divine being hates me that much, tell them THEY NEVER HAVE TO SEE ME AGAIN!!" With that you jump, and as you're fall all you can think is "Please let this work"
As you open the app you are once again consumed by light, however you are conscious for what comes next. In the space between realities your wounds are mended, it's as though this void is apologizing for your torment. A rift opens and you go through it.
When you exit said rift you are greeted by a red haired woman. "Ah it worked." Wait that woman is ANNA!? As Anna went on with her introduction you tried to think. That's right YOU are the summoner, without you here this world's story couldn't happen. As you collected your thoughts some emblian soldiers appeared, so you immediately grabbed Breidablik and summoned your first hero.
This idea was inspired by a post done by abnormalityjoseph and I thought about this way too much not to post something on it. I know it's rather short, but I hope you all like it

Resounding of Silence - an aehei horror fic
Leaving you all with a fic I have lost all interest in because of Reasons, but which was still developed enough to make me at least want to share it with you all. Inspired by the recent retro style mystery horror game Bloomtown, this was a Genshin AU where Aether and Lumine spend a creepy summer in their grandfather's remote mountain village in Japan. Here, they befriend Yoimiya, Heizou, Heizou's canonically unnamed friend, Kazuha, and the Kamisato siblings, and they spend a summer looking into a rare occurrence in the woods. Years later, Aether comes back to town, remembering little about the experience, and as he settles down to spend another summer here, mostly alone, he starts to recall bad things that happened that ended in the death of one of the kids, and with dread he realizes that whatever happened back then still haunts him to this day.
Behind the cut is chapter one.
Chapter 1 - Nothing but ivy
The pines in the mountains of Japan filter the sunlight here in ways Aether has never seen anywhere else. The dappled light of the woods takes him for a moment back to his childhood - summers spent running with Lumine through the cedars that grew near their home, through forests that gently sloped into the beach, the gritty pine needle-covered floor giving way to soft sand.
And yet, despite their deceptive similarities upon first impression, it is the air that really feels different. Their childhood home had been heavy with the tang of salt, the murmur of the waves echoing through the thin trunks, the soft susurrations interspersed with their footsteps as they weaved through the trees, laughing, play-fighting with sticks turned swords.
Here, the air is heavy, almost pensive. There is distant birdsong - the sound foreign to Aether's West Coast ears - and a light, thin mountain breeze which brings with it the sharp, fresh scent of pine. Here, it feels as if he's walked into a cathedral of green, submerged in amber light. Aether feels as though time might congeal here, fossilizing everything found within. For a moment, he feels the urge to turn around and leave. But where would he go, trapped alone halfway across the world?
"Aether!" A voice breaks through the silence in a sharp burst, and the moment of oppression is gone, just like that.
"Ms Yoimiya," Aether hums, turning to face the girl running down the trail to meet him. His Japanese feels heavy on the tongue, unpracticed, but he knows it'll pick up the pace fast. "It's been a while."
"Ages!" Yoimiya agrees. She stops short of hugging him, but the way she jumps in place tells Aether his old friend is happy to see him too. "When did your hair get so long?"
Aether runs a hand through his bangs, thinking back for a moment. Behind him, a long braid swings to and fro, as if showing off. "Uh, around high school, I think? It's been pretty long since college, and I think Lumine just kept cutting hers shorter the longer mine got."
"So... she's bald now?" Yoimiya asks in mock horror.
This makes Aether snort. "No, no, nothing quite so drastic. She stopped after an uh... interesting attempt at a bob."
"You can't just say that and not show pictures, Aether!! You're killing me." Yoimiya actually reaches out and starts gently shaking Aether now, prior inhibitions be damned. Still, it's anything but annoying, and Aether good naturedly sways along as he fishes for his phone in his pocket.
"Don't worry, I've got plenty of blackmail mat- er, photographic evidence. Ah- I think I ran out of battery on the way over from Tokyo, but I promise to show you later."
"Is that why you weren't answering your texts? I was worried you didn't have a data plan for Japan yet."
"International traveler plan," Aether flashes his sleek phone at her. "Too bad this is also currently a useless hunk of junk until I-- ah, shit." He stares at the phone as it slips from his hands and falls squarely onto a thick root, the corner colliding and instantly cracking the screen in the process. "...So much for that."
Yoimiya brings both hands to her mouth with a gasp, staring at the scene of the crime with eyes wide. "Oh Aether, I am so sorry. I hope it still works at least."
Aether gingerly picks up the broken remains of the phone and grimaces as he inspects the damage. "I'll honestly be surprised if it even turns on at this rate. I don't suppose there's a repair shop in town?"
With a grimace, Yoimiya shakes her head. "We'd have to take the bus back to the town where you got off at the train station down at the very base of the mountain. Unfortunately, we kind of are in the middle of nowhere up here." She sighs, letting the bad news settle before adding, "Though that has its perks too, you know? You have got to see the stars at night. It'll take your breath away."
Tearing his gaze away from the broken phone, Aether manages an actual smile at that last comment, mostly happy to see that Yoimiya remembers his love of the night sky all these years later. "I'm sure it will."
Yoimiya nods down the path, where the trees seem to thin out and give way to an open area. "Come on. I'll treat you to some ramen, and you'll feel right as rain. Race you!"
She quickly sets off down the path without another word, and Aether can't help but follow at the same pace lest he lose his way. They sprint down the stone path out of the woods, and something in Aether, a deep, base instinct coiled in his gut, is glad they're finally leaving it behind.
* * *
The town has not changed much in the 15 or so years since Aether had first (and last) stepped foot inside. Back then, he and his sister had been sent for the summer to their estranged grandfather's house, where their mother hoped they'd reconnect not only with the old man who knew them only through letters and pictures, but also to their ancestral heritage, as she'd called it. That summer, he and Lumine had followed the old man around town like a pair of golden ducklings, learning how to cultivate his garden and helping him around the small local clinic he managed before they were even allowed to explore town.
At first, Aether and Lumine had seen the trip as a cruel ploy to keep them away from their friends for a whole summer, and a whole ocean away, too! They'd been separated from their home turf, and they were convinced they'd wither like uprooted plants in the secluded mountain village, armed with nothing more than their basic Japanese and each other.
And yet, much to their shared surprise, they'd instead found a new love out on the road - the new sights, the buildings, the food, the people. Everything they saw on their journey brought new wonders each day, and it made them hunger for more.
After that first taste of exploration, of freedom, they'd felt as though they'd been let loose on the world, and they'd never looked back, taking a leap into the unknown to eat the world with nothing but the other's company as a constant. They'd relied on the connections they formed along the way, friendships which seemed to open paths to even more new experiences.
And yet, they hadn't come back to this first stop since. Tokyo, yes, and several other Japanese landmarks, but the quiet mountains of their mother's childhood had remained untouched, unspoken of, and neither of them could really tell what kept them away all these years.
Their grandfather had passed away some years ago, leaving the clinic to an apprentice who had quietly kept it running. Until this year.
A month ago, Lumine and Aether had received an email from Yoimiya - with whom they'd kept constant digital correspondence ever since they'd met that summer - urging them to come back after the doctor staying at their grandfather's old clinic had suddenly packed his bags and left without a word.
They'd decided this was as good a chance as any to inspect the property, and to reconnect with their old friend after years of only exchanging emails and the occasional actual, physical letter.
'We'll make the most of it,' Yoimiya had suggested. 'Come stay for the summer, if you've got the time, so you can enjoy the local late summer festival. It'll be like an extended slumber party!'
Aether had jumped at the opportunity, having just come back from a work trip to Maldives, but Lumine, off in the verdant jungles of South America with a group of recent friends who needed her expertise in picketing, had taken a raincheck, promising to catch up with them once she was done. The festival didn't start until August, after all, and their grandfather's old house probably shouldn't be kept waiting.
"Aether, I'm literally chained to a tree right now," had been Lumine's exact words. Aether had asked for a branch as a souvenir, and Lumine had snorted and hung up on him.
* * *
"It's too bad Lumi couldn't travel with you," Yoimiya sighs. She slides a hearty bowl of ramen Aether's way, and Aether's stomach growls heartily in response.
"I'm used to traveling alone," Aether lies smoothly. The truth is, he misses his sister terribly, especially on milestone journeys like this. It's not so much that they don't travel alone, it's that they know when not to. So yes, maybe Aether is a little sore about it, but he's not about to sour his enjoyment of this trip just because Lumine isn't here to see it with him from the start. He wonders if this makes him less important than a single tree in the whole Amazon. Surely he's more unique than a tree in a forest? He decides to just let this go for now, knowing that way lies madness.
As he takes his chopsticks and cradles the bowl of ramen closer to him still, seeking its warmth even in the warm July day, he finally manages a nonchalant shrug. "Anyway, she'll be here before long. What's the worst that could happen?"
"Other than breaking your phone, you mean?" Yoimiya reminds him with a small laugh. She quickly clamps her mouth as she realizes what she's just said. "Ooh, sorry, sorry, it's too soon to be making jokes, isn't it? Well, if you need to make a call, you can use the landline at my place. Much more reliable than a cellphone up here anyway."
"I was more worried about not being able to take pictures, actually."
"Oh in that case, I might be able to help you! There's a second hand store on main street. I wouldn't put it past them to carry a few old cameras."
"Oh? Analog stuff, huh?" Aether hums.
"Most likely, yeah," Yoimiya agrees with a smile. "I'll lead you there after you settle in, if you like. We made sure your grandpa's house was nice and clean for you and Lumi to use. Honestly though, the guy who was renting it kept it very tidy."
"What was his name again?"
Yoimiya hesitates, tapping her chin a few times. "You know what? For the life of me, I can't remember. I know every single person in this town by name, but this guy... Well, he was a bit of a recluse. Or, well, not quite a recluse. He did keep the clinic running. He was just not a very chatty person, you know?
"We're pretty certain he was some sort of ascetic. Even grew his own food in the garden! Now I'm kind of regretting not getting to know him better before he left."
Aether laughs. "He sounds like the kind of person my grandfather would have left his house to, all right. From what we know about him, he was always very... particular about who he let inside, ever since my mother was little."
"My dad told me much the same thing," Yoimiya agrees with a nod. "I guess he wanted to make sure his place was kept in good shape because it was used as a clinic. Don't want anyone breaking any important vials."
"Probably," Aether chuckles, remembering the earful he and Lumine had gotten once after they accidentally broke a whole batch of some weird green powder. "How's your father doing these days?"
"Getting on in years, but I think he's enjoying retirement. I'm pretty much in charge of the family business these days, but my dad does still enjoy helping me design fireworks for the bigger festivals. And even though he's pretty deaf now, he still loves sitting down to watch the shows up close. "Actually, you'll get to see my work in just a few weeks!" Yoimiya claps once, grinning at Aether with a sparkle in her eye that matches the fireworks Aether remembers seeing light up the night sky 15 years ago. "Ah! I'm so happy you're back for the whole summer! We're going to have an incredible time, Aether."
Aether raises his glass, a matching beer with Yoimiya, and they drink to that. "I'm sure it'll be a blast," he says smoothly, which makes Yoimiya giggle.
"I should make you pay for the meal just because of that pun."
"Now, now, little Yoimiya. It doesn't do to treat guests like that," a distinguished voice cuts their banter short. "This dish is on the house, courtesy of the owner."
Aether turns to find himself face to face with a tall woman in a cook's apron. She wears a kerchief wrapped around her head, light pink dyed hair sticking out in small tufts behind the cloth. The aforementioned owner of this restaurant, Aether surmises, judging from the way she handles herself (and from the fact that her apron bears the logo of the restaurant - a kitsune lounging inside an udon bowl, wearing a block of tofu like a towel over its head).
She looks vaguely familiar, too, though she's definitely too young to have been managing the restaurant the last time Aether was here. Perhaps he met her mother when he was little?
"Ms. Yae!" Yoimiya gasps. "Please, I will happily pay for the meals. I was just teasing my friend here, since he just got here today and-"
"Ah, ah, ah," the woman says, holding up a finger. "I'll have none of that. Young Aether here knows better than to reject a gift freely given, I presume?"
'How does she know my name?' Aether can't help but wonder. All he can do is nod politely as the light shock passes.
"What's the matter? Cat got your tongue?" Ms Yae hums, leaning closer to Aether as if to sniff him out. "Oh dear, you do still speak Japanese, don't you? You used to be so fluent when you and your sister were little."
This at least confirms his suspicion, though Aether for the life of him can't place this woman. "Y-yes, ma'am, I do. Thank you kindly for the meal."
She nods her head in acknowledgement before glancing Yoimiya's way with a smug smile, as though saying, 'Well, there you go.'
"You come back soon, you hear?" She offers Aether one last teasing smile before turning to leave. Aether raises his hand to wave goodbye, but the mysterious woman is already gone, presumably behind the curtain leading to the kitchen.
"Well aren't you the popular guy," Yoimiya giggles. "I don't think Lady Yae has ever offered anyone a free meal before. Ever!"
"Really? Maybe she just wants to lure the tourist in with some tasty bait," Aether grins, though something about the whole exchange unnerved him.
"Well? Did it work?"
Aether looks down at his empty bowl and nods. "I'll say. If my sisters were here, they'd both have asked for seconds, but I think I'll just have to come back later. I'm stuffed."
"Ready to go back then?"
Aether thinks of the old house, of dark rooms and a small garden, of winding wooden staircases, of their mother's old cozy room, of disjointed flashes of memory which for some reason refuse to connect into a whole picture, and he nods. "Let's go."
* * *
A clinic, Aether reasons as he pauses at a landing, should not be this far uphill. Especially not when the steps are small and made of moss-covered stone and built right into the mountain. He's supposed to be fit, damn it, so why is he getting winded? Especially when Yoimiya is already waiting for him at the very top of the steep stairs, looking as fresh as a summer breeze.
"Sorry, this is a shortcut I tend to take whenever I have to head out this way," she apologizes with a small bow as he finally reaches her. "You can also head over to the temple from here, though you have to go through that patch of woods over there before even reaching the first torii."
Aether stops at the top of the stairs, one hand resting on the railing, and he follows the path with his gaze, squinting at the dense woodland that obscures any glimpses of the temple. Was this place always this overgrown, this dark?
"It's just down this street now, come on! Your grandpa had a nice yellow bicycle, if I remember correctly. I bet you can use that to move around town easier, especially if you'd rather stick to the main road."
"At least it's all downhill from here," Aether sighs, glancing down the slope to the town below. The view is nice, at least, with the small town nestled amidst the pines as if someone had carved a spot for it among the trees and dropped it whole to take root.
"It is, though the festival grounds are higher up still, on temple grounds. I hope you brought your hiking boots." Yoimiya gestures for him to follow, and they make their way down the road.
"Yeah, they're in the bag. Thanks for the suggestion." Aether honestly regretted his earlier choice of white tennis shoes. They'd been great for the plane and the road over, but not so much for uneven paths through the woods, especially considering he'd ended up having to walk a lot longer since the bus stop that reached all the way up to town didn't exist anymore. Lumine would have chided him over it, but Aether wasn't about to sacrifice a good fit even when common sense told him he knew better.
"Here we go, number 28-09," Yoimiya announced almost reverently. "Niwa-san's house."
"This hasn't really been my grandfather's house for years now," Aether grimaces.
But Yoimiya shakes her head adamantly. "Even his apprentice referred to it as Niwa's clinic. You have to remember, Aether, things don't really change in small towns like this."
Aether is quiet for a moment as he mulls over Yoimiya's words. How much has changed since the last time? How much has remained the same? It is a little shocking how little of that summer seems to have stayed in Aether's memories, beyond that urge to keep on moving which had stayed with him and his sister ever since. Did Lumine remember more? Was it just his own memory which was proving faulty? Aether has the urge to call Lumine and ask her, but he realizes with a start that he doesn't have the number to reach her anymore. It hadn't even been her own number he'd called last, since she had left her phone behind to help her remain anonymous in the protest. So much for that twin connection...
Aether. Aether...
"Aetheeeer," Yoimiya's voice breaks through his thoughts once again. This time, she's dangling a keyring in front of his face, perhaps hoping this will catch his attention.
Aether blinks and grabs hold of the keys without a second thought. Aside from the house keys, there's a purple cat charm hanging from the ring too. The work of his grandfather's tenant, he assumes, since the old man had never struck him as the type of person who enjoyed superfluous details like this.
"You okay?" Yoimiya asks him, softly resting a hand on his shoulder.
"Yeah," Aether mumbles. "Just tired from the trip, I guess."
"I'll give you some space now, so you can have a look through the house and get some rest. We stocked the fridge and pantry with a few days' worth of food, but if you need anything, there's a market on main street. Big blue roof, can't miss it. And there's a konbini just two blocks away, too."
She starts looking through her bag then, until she pulls out a small notebook and a pen. As she leafs through it to find a blank page, Aether catches glimpses of what he assumes are firework designs, with a lot of technical scribbles hastily jotted down. Once she finds a blank page, Yoimiya draws a crude map of the town, marking the clinic, the shrine, the shortcut, the restaurants and shops, as well as her own house. Once she's done, she rips it out and hands it to Aether.
"Since you don't have your fancy GPS handy right now. Thankfully the town is small enough for pen and paper. Feel free to add anything else you find useful! That second hand shop should be right over here, by the library."
After carefully pocketing the map, Aether nods. "Thanks Yoimiya, for everything, really. You've given me a warmer welcome than I ever would've expected, so I'm grateful for that. I'll see you around tomorrow?"
Yoimiya beams at him and nods. "If you need anything, you know where to find me. I'll tell everyone you're here so tomorrow you can meet up with the others. They'll be so happy to see you again!" Without waiting for a response, Yoimiya waves at him and sets off, pausing only to point out where the old yellow bike is parked.
Aether stands there in the middle of the street for a while, staring at the road blankly.
'Others...?'

Handful of a Situation_Part 3
A.N: This is a four-parter with the same artistReader as in the series Once upon a Time which can be found on my Genshin Impact MasterList.
I feel like you probably need to read the rest of the series to fully enjoy this one. But there might be explanation you may not get if you haven’t read the rest of the series. So....I’ll just leave it at that.
P.S: I’m so happy to write a hangout with the Sumeru Fam!
_____________________________
After making sure the surrounding area was cleared of alligators, Tighnari allowed himself to relax a bit more. If no other reason than, Collei had begged his ears off in the days proceeding that he would take the rest of the day off to hang out with you and her. She had even gone so far as to get other Forest Rangers to beg their leader some time off. He was always working for the good of the rainforest and could afford half a day at least.
Watching, both you and Collei chat as you stood near the river made it worth taking time out of his day. His eyes fell on you. He would be hard-pressed to reconcile the woman that you were when you came to this world, verses the one standing before him now.
It had been an ordinary day for the Forest Watchers on patrol when they found a woman passed out Gandha Hill. The rangers had brought you half-way to Gandharva Ville, when you woke up. By the time, they got Tighnari, and he arrived, you were babbling quite incessantly and did not seem to recognize that anyone was trying to communicate with you. You seemed to see them as something other than what they were, swearing that they would hurt you and that it was loud.
Turn it off!! Please turn it off!! You would scream, with tears down your wide-eyed face, almost pulling out your hair.
You didn’t even respond to Tighnari trying to coax you out of whatever state you were in. Eventually, with coordinated effort, they managed to rest you down, long enough for Tighnari to give you medicine to put you to sleep.
Then they were able to move you safely the rest of the way to Gandharva Ville. You woke up a few times, but each time, proved to be just the same. You’d start screaming to turn it off, and it was loud. For a few weeks, keeping you on medicine was the only thing that worked. At that time, Tighnari truly had doubts that you were even lucid or could survive.
Then one day, you woke up and tensed looking at him. It was then that Tighnari saw the first signs of lucidity from you. It was a long road, but you managed to recover and even blossom to the woman he saw now. And now, in a short while, you were going to be married!
A small smile played on his face as he looked fondly at you both. You had pulled out your Kamera and were taking photos. You had managed to convince Collei to pose for you. In addition, to your manga work, you took photography as well. You had a way with photos that was unique in this world and even landed a few in some papers like. No one had understood how you managed to get such great shots, but you just smiled but never divulged your secrets.
“I’m glad that both of them were ultimately brought to you. They are better for it, as you managed to help them both.” Cyno spoke quietly from his side, watching the both of you as well.
“I only did what I thought I could. Ultimately, it’s both of them that carried their progress the rest of the way.”
“Don’t be modest, Tighnari.”
Both you and Collei realized that you had both of their attention and waved at them. Cyno and Tighnari returned the wave even as Collei ran towards them. You followed at a more sedate pace before picking up your Kamera as Collei was running towards them and waited for the best moment.
Click.
Although this wasn’t a digital camera, and you couldn’t see the end product right away, you remembered many things about them that you tried to incorporate with this Kamera. It wasn’t the same, but you thought that those tricks helped with your photos. But you never told anyone about your secret. You didn’t want to plague this world with memories of your own. If something happened that was similar to your world, you wanted it to be because of the people here not, because of ideas you had from your own world. Which was why, even to this day, you never told even Tighnari or Collei particulars about your world. Even though Alhaitham was curious, he quickly realized there as only such much you were willing to talk about.
More than that, you were just grateful to be here. You lifted your Kamera and peered though the hole as you looked around for a good shot. You were pretty sure, had you stayed in your world, it wouldn’t have ended well.
But compared to that place, this place was so….
….quiet…..
And you quite liked that. Not everything was rushed. People took time for each other. Not only did you find friends, you found a husband to be as well.
Yea, you were really, really, REALLY happy!!
“Y/N…Y/N….are you okay!!”
You blinked to see Collei almost panicking as she griped your arm.
“What?” you asked mildly.
“Don’t ‘what’ me?! Why are you crying?”
You blinked again, only to realize that you indeed had tears flowing. You reached up with one hand and wiped them away, only to look at the moisture as if it was foreign to you.
“Y/N, are you okay?” Tighnari asked as both he and Cyno joined to look at you with concern.
To their bewilderment, you laughed, “Yes, I’m fine.”
“Then why are you crying?” Cyno asked.
“Sorry, I don’t realize that I was. I was just….happy!”
Tighnari sighed, “I see. Well, as long as that’s all it is.”
“Agreed. I do not wish to say that I failed in my duty.” stated Cyno staring at you, “I don’t want heads to roll over this.”
You rolled your eyes, as you wiped away the tears, “You got me here safely, your duty ends there. Your head is safe.”
Tighnari snorted, “What?! You have more than one head that I don't know about?”
Cyno shook his head, “No, but I would have a lot of people after me in such a case…”
Without missing a beat, you asked, “...That would be a headful of situation, wouldn't it?”
Tighnari ears flicked once and Collei just stared.
“You get it?” you grinned, “Many after his head would be a handful, except a headful given the circumstances. But having many after him would be dreadful as well…except heads. Also…”
“Please, stop.” Tighnari begged, dropping his temple into his hands.
“...it would be fearful, but heads so…headful….”
Tighnari watched as you sunk to the ground in a fit of hysterics. He and Collei just stared at you as you snorted and laughed.
Cyno sunk down to his heels as he watched you, “Yes, it would be a dreadful, fearful head of situation…”
“Seriously! Cut it out!!” snapped Tighnari.
Cyno snickered once, as he watched you come down of your hysterics. He found it quite fun that he had someone who had a similar style of jokes as he did. Often, you were the one that found his jokes funny. He once asked if you really thought they were funny.
“Not really…” you had answered, “But the random timing, the puns and everyone's response invokes quite a delight that yes, it is funny at the end of the day.”
Since then, you two were jokers in crime. Archons help anyone that you both decided to tag team with. Such was the case as Collei absently scratched the back of her head as she sunk down to the ground next to you. She smiled once. She was glad you were so tickled. If it put a smile on your face, she’d tolerate it….this time.
Tighnari griped as he glared down at Cyno, “Why have you corrupted her, Cyno? She didn’t start this foolishness until she met you.”
“Let me have the one person that actually enjoys my jokes, thank you.” Cyno spoke unconcernedly as he took a more comfortable position.
Tighnari sighed and sat down in front of you, “Just spare me, okay.”
Cyno raised a hand and clenched his fist, “Cyno the Adventurer takes no prisoners!”
“I’m leaving.” Tighnari made to leave, but both Collei and you reached out to grab him.
“Don’t go, Master! It’s supposed to be your day off!”
“I would love a day off but dealing with this foolishness, I may as well go get some real work down.”
“Alright, alright, we’ll stop…..for now.” You compromised.
Cyno nodded once, “Agreed, besides if you leave we can’t do a tournament style Genius Invocation TCG.”
Tighnari plopped back down, “Playing cards isn’t my idea of a day off either.”
“Then what is?”
“Working on my research.”
You and Collei exchanged unamused glances.
“Collei go get our bags will you?” You asked, “I brought my deck, and I’m suddenly feeling like I wanna beat a few people.”
Tighnari sighed, accepting his fate as Collei returned.
You cried as you pulled out your deck, “I’m not facing Cyno in the first round. Dibs, called it.”
“Me neither!” Collei quickly stated.
“Well, I guess I can lose quickly.” Tighnari stated as Collei handed him his deck.
He turned to see Cyno boring holes in him.
Tighnari ear flicked once, “I mean, of course, I’ll put in some effort. I won’t just hand the game to you, but you are a master and this is one area I’d have to concede to you in.”
Cyno still glowered at him.
“What else do you want? None of us are your match!”
“Speak for yourself!” you cried.
“You haven’t won a match against him yet, Y/N.”
“At least I’m trying! And I had him on defense last time!”
“So? He still came back with one card with point and blew you out the water!”
“How about that fact I took out two of his monsters? Had my healing not run out on that turn, I would have lasted long enough to end him.”
“That fact still remain, that you did not!”
“EH!!”
Tighnari and your head whipped towards Cyno who breathed heavily. Collei had her lips pressed together in mirth. She thought it was wise to stay out of this.
“Y/N, you will duel against Tighnari and I against Collei. Winner of both with go in the next match.” Cyno stated.
Tighnari opened his mouth to argue, but Cyno gave him a fierce glare. Collei groaned. She never defeated Cyno in a duel and never came anywhere close.
Wasn’t this an exercise in futility?
Tighnari shut his mouth this time and bobbed his head in acquiesce.
“Good now, it’s time to duel!!”
Bonus:
You raised your hands triumphantly and dramatically, “Witness me!!”
“Yes, yes, very good. Congratulations…”Tighnari deadpanned after you that trounce him, “I’m so happy for you.”
“You don’t sound too happy, Master.” Collei snickered.
“Oh. But. I. Am.”
A few minutes into Collei and Cyno’s duel:
“I believe in you. Trust in the heart of the cards!!” you cheered Collei on, who was slowly losing her marbles as she was down a card inside of two turns.
Tighnari rolled his eyes. He knew Cyno was ecstatic to find someone who shared his enthusiasm for TCG. Although you weren’t a collector like Cyno and went chasing after TCG cards, you had grown quite fond of the game and had your side of dramatics.
“The heart of the cards will fail you, but come, let us continue.” Cyno smirked.
A few minutes into You and Cyno’s duel:
Your eyes narrowed as Cyno now as taken out two of out of three of your monsters.
Cyno smirked over his cards,“So you believe in the heart of the cards, huh? How is that working out for you?”
“Don’t seem to be at all.” Tighnari grumbled.
Both you and Cyno paused and glared at him. He looked off and shut up, making Collei giggle. Then you both smirked back at each other as if Tighnari’s comment never happened.
“I won’t give up, not until the last card is taken. The heart of the cards has never failed me!” you cried.
‘But you never won a single game against Cyno!!’ Tighnari screamed in his head.
Two minutes later:
“Not to worry! The heart of the cards will guide me to victory against you.” You pointed at Cyno with narrowed eyes, “.....one day!”
Cyno laughed, “I look forward to it.”
“Yay, riveting!” Tighnari clapped.
“Yes, now me verse Collei; Tighnari vs Cyno and winners next! Let’s get it!” You cheered.
“Yes, I like your way of thinking!” Cyno crowed behind you.
Collei laughed as Tighnari threw his hands up, but if you looked closely, a small smile played on his face.

A.N: At the time of writing this, I’d been dueling so much in Genshin and with the new duel event, I actually had a dream about Yu-gi-oh characters. That led to me revisiting YGO, and it’s been a blast rewatching it! So I’m all duelled up right now! I really need to revisit the manga as well...

tagged by @vespertin-y to share three random facts abt myself sooo
1.) i have a big phobia of lakes or just dirty water in general, and submechanophobia, i can't stand looking at like cars submerged in water. i don't seem to have the same fear of the ocean, for example i would never swim in a lake and i'd probs have a panic attack if i fell in one, but i went to the beach for the first time in my life a couple years ago and i got in the ocean just fine. i didn't go very far out bc i was afraid i'd get pulled in, im very small you see and i can't really swim, but i enjoyed it and my friend got seaweed for me to touch ajdjf. despite not being afraid of seawater i do Not like boats and wouldn't get on one on the sea or in a lake. i'd probs feel Better about being on a boat in the sea but the feeling of being in a boat in general feels Wrong to me, like my primal monkey brain is like "humans shouldn't be able to float above water like this".
2.) i have very repetitive stress dreams every night of my life, i don't think i've ever had a Good dream before and im not joking. usually the mundane stuff like being back in high school and not knowing where my classes are or my locker combination etc (which is wild bc that's never something i actually needed to worry about in high school, like i never once forgot things like that). also losing my phone or having it stolen seems to be a theme lately as well. HOWEVER when a dream isn't mundane, i manage to have REALLY weird dreams. the first nightmare i ever remember having was when i was like three years old and i dreamed a tree was chasing me. like a legit tree. i never saw it walk, it would just move when i wasn't looking and would be closer when i looked back. i ran home and still have the vivid memory of slamming my front door and looking behind me to the window where the tree was "looking" inside at me. it didn't have eyes or anything im just assuming it must have been looking at me lmao. anyway i was Terrified of this tree but hindsight that's literally so funny. a tree. also had a dream where my trash bag climbed into bed with me. and one where it was "emu hunting season" in my neighborhood and everyone was hunting emus. i probs don't have to clarify that there aren't emus anywhere near my midwestern city.
2.5.) interesting combination of the first two facts, which is why this is a bonus fact™️. i realized a recurring aspect of my dreams is something highly specific to me and not normal. i didn't realize this from conversations with people or anything i just suddenly was like "oh that's actually very weird and specific to my particular phobias". the aspect in question being that in multiple dreams over several years there's been partially submerged roller coasters in my dreams. like the roller coaster is like 1/4 submerged in a dirty lake and i either just see it and am like "eugh" or i'm actually forced to ride it and have to deal with the horror of both the anticipation of the dirty water part plus the actual contact with the dirty water. i'm not afraid of roller coasters or anything i guess my brain just found a way to tap into my submechanophobia. very weird brain thing that sounds very stupid and it is ajdjr
3.) on a lighter note, i have five genshin impact accounts, although i don't use two of them anymore. i have my main account, an anemo only account, and a new gimmick account that is a secret. my other accounts were just a replay account to experience exploration again, and one that i was gonna call carrot run where i only used xingqiu. i might still end up playing on that one again eventually given that i have xingxiu and sac sword on that account already in very early game with was lucky 4 me.
this was longer than i thought it would be i just decided i like talking about myself apparently LMAO
i don't rly have anyone to tag bc i'm afraid of bothering ppl so AJDHDHFH will leave off the post here

diluc for the character opinion bingo :)
🙄with gritted teeth, thank you (genuinely ily)
blank character bingo
ngl i'm so surprised i still remember anything about genshin given i hadn't touched it in a full year. esp diluc given he was so.... early genshin story stuff....
But idk, as much as he isn't very Apparent in the story anymore, and well there's nothing much going on with Diluc anymore, his character in general is something I find very admirable.
I remember he was like one of the first characters I got attached to when I was first playing through Genshin.... And it was JUST BECAUSE I THOUGHT HE WAS FUNNY ASDLKJFAHL Something about me liking "dead serious characters saying the most offputting thing" makes me laugh, so him going "I'd rather be crushed by a meteorite" about the Fatui right next to him going "yeah i had a pet turtle whats wrong with that?" got me
And then the Webtoons happened because I was like :D i wanna know Diluc some more and then I just Suffered and went "ah.... yes of course you picked the guy with grief".
I still think a lot about how he was so ready to join the Knights. I mean, it was his whole life dream so much so that he got his pyro vision at such a young age, only for it to be swept away when he lost his dad and well, lost faith in the Knights. How he ran away, leaving his vision behind (and it also makes me think too, esp after Inazuma how that mustve affected him but we wouldn't know huh lmao), and going on his little grief/rage trip of destruction over in Snezhnaya. You'd think he'd just destroy himself in the process of his vengeance trip, but he's still here.
What gets me most about him is that his story is about finding his passion again. If he was given his vision at a young age for his passion to be a Knight -- one who was supposed to protect and defend Mondstadt, that passion is found again when he takes up the role as the Darknight Hero, defending Mondstadt in his own way.
And he seems happier now. Or well, at least where I had left off with Genshin (idk if there's anything new. There really doesn't need to be anything new with Diluc because he's just happier now.). So it's just nice :') happy for him I like him a lot he's just neat and very admirable in my eyes. he looks like a bug but i'd kiss him :) but also he has to pay the price for 1) not coming home for the past... 4 years (jfc) 2) DRAGGING MY ASS BACK HERE LIKE HIM??? OF ALL PEOPLE????????? SERIOUSLY????
#ok so. i wouldve said more#but i started watching haunting of bly manor midway through writing this and my brains split atm about what to focus on 😭😭#answered#i wrote most of these thoughts before i started watching the ep but man.#anyways. lmao#like i couldve talked about the bartender event from a long while ago#or uhhh weinliesefest (whatever it was called)#oorrrrr hidden strife#but then we'd be here for a WHILE and we don't need to do that#that and also. i wanna watch my tragic ghost lesbian show LAKJSDHFLASKJDFAH#(<- is an excuse lmao)#but thank you i needed to throw up about him lmao#avil plays genshin

i think that one of my all time favorite OCS might be my dangan oc; Kristabelle Nakanishi
I've been roleplaying for like years now, but we first got into Danganronpa roleplays in like 2021-2022, but it was before I knew anything about it fr (fun facto; Oliver enters fandoms without knowing anything about said fandom, that way they're more like to get more into it by reading into the lore as time progresses)
I'm pretty sure the story was changed around a bit, because we soon started a childhood server, which is where we roleplayed our ocs/characters stories and developed the lore
Kristabelle was traumatized obviously like she's my OC she does NOT get a pass tf
ahe had a younger twin sister, and an older brother, who "died" in that same server, and she also had a girlfriend, who she ran away from because of something she was forced to do
her and her siblings were like test dummies for their father (Oliver stop projecting your daddy issues onto all of your ocNO.) BUT they were also raised assassins at a young age, this adding onto the trauma and abuse for obvious reasons
there was this orphanage that all the kids would go to to hang out, and that's where she met kokichi (and his twin sister, played by the same person), who ended up being her best friend and bonded through the trauma !
there was stitch, mia, sparks, mazuko, charlie/ollie, and kristabelle, as the og original character cast
eventually some bad things happened, and everyone separated, and kristabelle ran away, but not before getting to spend some last times with kokichi, who gave her a matching hairpin to remember each other by
now, this wasn't canon at first, but I had went offline for a bit and came back to the server (killing game) spamming me, like, "KRISTABELLE AND TOGAMI MAKE THEM FOUND FAMILY"
I was like lol why
"they're both rich, they both drink tea, they're both tall and sassy, I'd let them step on me (<-mia), they have a lot in common, theyre both kinda antags, they would be unsTOppable, MAKE THEM FOUND FAMILY." OKAY DAMN
so I did !
obviously they weren't fond of each other at first, but eventually they actually did become like an amazing fucking duo
again this was an alternate universe with a somewhat changed story, not everything will be entirely lore accurate <//3
they both fucked up trials, and almost found themselves being executed because of misunderstandings, took no one's shit fr
i think we merged killing games in this ⁉️ because we didn't wanna do separate ones for every game + we didn't want to necessarily have us in every game, so we put all three together, and oh my god it was so chaotic in the best way, everything was harder and much more hilarious but like traumatizing too
everyone obviously had like amnesia, except for stitch and Junko, who were the main masterminds ⁉️ so kokichi and kristabelle didn't even recognize each other, sadly
when they were kids they were inseparable
THE EXECUTIONS
stitch always came up with the executions for our OCS and they were so creative
I was heartbroken once because someone else's oc died and I liked them like NO⁉️
Oliver is getting off track, but like she's one of my best OCS I think personally, not counting my genshin OCS because then, Kristabelle would NOT be my favorite.
I wrote out
like
four? or three things for her, little snippets of her past and how traumatizing it was
I wrote out a full on death scene I was surprised with myself reading back on it
