update on the whole playing mob sounds through the console to scare my players situation:
i am now being accused of playing mob sounds that i didnt play
#apparently it's a known bug that you can sometimes hear the 'warden notices' sound from a weird distance#but because like ten minutes prior id played a primed creeper noise#(and then went to find a snack)#i came back to the console to find a 'WTF' directed at me#and when i said i was getting a snack and asked what it was about#i received a discord message going 'please tell me the warden noise was you'#of course i only lie to players in an over the top obviously lying for the bit kinda way#so i clarified that i was genuinely getting a snack and did not do it#much to the player's horror#so of course i went 'youre fucked sweets'#like. if theres a warden on the surface. GOOD LUCK LMAO#it was a known bug fortunately#but one of these days someone is gonna get killed because they heard a mob sound at an odd time#and assumed it was me.
