The beast of bones
I hope that people won’t start hating me ‘cause I wrote that fanfiction...but I had to wrote it because I really love the dynamic between the Operator and Ordis. Also, so that it isn’t confusing for you in this AU where my Fanfics are taking place, it is possible to be fused permanently with the Warframe, just like Rell did it with Harrow. So all the Frames my previous fanfics where about, are just Operators that had fused themself permanently with their frames. And also Malik (the Operator in this Story) is not a child but a 18 Year old Teenager, I hope you’re not mad at me for this^^
"Ordis?" "Yes Operator?", the blue Cephalon asked and the Operator, a slim man with black-red hair that was trimmed to a mohawk, just said: "Can you....comfort me?" the blue cube howers closer to him and then the Operator just throws his arms around the Cephalon and holds him close, tears start dwelling up and he crys out in pain. "Operator, are you allright?", Ordis ask concerned and Malik just says: "Don't leave me...don't leave me like her..." "Operator I would never abandon you!", the Cephalon promises him and the Operator just smiles, then he leans against the cristalblue surface of the cube and let's out a deep sigh, tears still running down his face. "I know....it's just...I was awake for...a few weeks and then she abanded me...like she doesn't even care about me...", he then confessed. "The Lotus cares a lot about you, Operator!", Ordis then corrects Malik and the Operator rolls with his orange eyes, mumbling: "Yeah...and she has left me and the other Tenno because she loves us so much, right?" "Ordis will-" "No Ordis...please don't...just stop pretenting that she is here...it pains me more then it helps me...", he murmurs and Ordis lets out a humm, then the Cephalon says: "But who will guide you through your missions then?" "I don't need an adviser that tells me what to do...and you can do that too, am I right?", he looks down at the blue cube and smiles, as he sees a blue light flicker through the cracks in the core of the cube. "Ordis...what do you remeber from your past?", he then asks the Cephalon and Ordis just answers: "Ordis don't want to talk about that" Malik nods, he knows it already, he has found all the Cephalon Parts, that where scattered through the entire solar system. "Your name was...Ordan Karris, right?" Just as he said that, the blue cube in his arms starts to rumble, then the entire data sphere around him shifts, the bright blue fog lifts and the cube in his arms disappears, a figure is standing in front of him and Malik springs on his feet, raises his hand at the figure, who stands there in the fog, until he hears the voice of the figure, who now slowly approaches him. "How do you know this name?" Malik joilts as he hears the Voice of Ordan Karris, sharp like the ivory blades that are on the hip of the mercanery, but gentle in some way. "I....have found your memorys, the fragments who are all over the system....", he then explains and the figure is now a few steps away from him, a white hood hides the face of the man, only the blue glowing gives the eyepatch away, that he wears. Then his hands slip the hood back and expose his face. Scarred and one bright blue eye staring at him with an untamed wildnerness, a hunger unknown to Malik. He knows what Ordan has done. The best of bones had slaughtered Dax and Orokin alike, then his mind was transfered in a cephalon and he was forced to serve him. Even the love Ordis feels for him was forced upon the Cephalon. Malik takes a deep breath, then he takes one step to the mercanery, one hand reaches out to the face. Ordan doesn't even flinch when the warm hand touches his cheek, instead he closes his blue eye and then he leans his cheek into the warm touch, a little smile on his face. "Now I know how Umbra feeled when you used your transference on him", he whispers, Malik smiles and then steps closer to Ordan, his orange eyes carefully observing the movement and body language of the Warrior. "It is like delving deep into a comforting warmth that let you forget everything you've done...that soothes all wounds and ease the pain...how are you doing that?", he opens his eye and looks straight into the orange eyes of Malik, a questioning expression on his scarred face. "I don't know...it is like puzzle of emotions...and I just take the pieces and...assemble them to a whole picture", the Operator tries to describe what he does, everytime he linkes to a new Warframe. "The frames aren't just mashines...they are a living beings that can feel pain and other emotions. Some Operators doesn't like that they aren't the Warframes but weak children...and so some have fused with there Frames, just like Rell did. Binding their consciousness permanently to the frame...I thought of doing that too...but then I would be restricted to one Warframe and...I like to choose from an wide arsenal of frames, so I didn't do it", he then explains and Ordan nods. "I know...your friends...they did this, right? Limbo, Ash, Nehza, Equinox, Oberon, Nidus, Nekros, Harrow...those where all Operators who didn't like being a small weak child...and so they became the frames they love...merged with them until only the consciousness of the Warframe was left...robbing them of their void powers", a sad smile starts to spread across his face and he looks up into the bright blue sky. The blue fog has revealed a dessert, the sand is from a deep red colour and the wind plays with the long white hair of the mercanery. Then he looks directly at the Operator and asks: "Can you....pull me out of Ordis? I know your Void Powers are strong and they can do some pretty decent things" Malik blinks confused, then he says: "Honestly I don't think that would be a good idea to do" "Ordis and me are two complete different beings. And I could replace the Lotus, at least when it comes too guiding you through your missions", the beast of bones offers him and Malik looks at him surprised, then he asks: "Why haven't you killed me already? When I was listening to those Cephalon Fragments you sounded angry and-" Malik blinks in surprise, as Ordan just hugs him, closing the distance between both of them and then the mercanery whispers in his ear: "You are already hurt enough, Tenno. And I don't kill children" "I am not a-!", orange eyes whide in shock as scarred lips touches his forehead and Ordan simply says: "In my opinion you are. Doesn't matter that you are 18 years old, you are still a child compared to others. And I think that there are some Corpus that need the help of the Tenno to take care of the Infestation" "Wait, don't-!" Malik blinks, as the entire space around him collapses and he finds himself sitting in the transference chair once more. Groaning he rubs his eyes and then stares at the Warframe in front of him. "Umbra...", the black frame kneels in front of him, the helmet is tilted and when he connets to the Warframe, he can feel anxiety flowing through him, with a smile he sends a reassuring feeling to the Warframe and Umbra just stands up, nods and then turns, the hand on his Katana, as he waits for the Operator to controll him. With a sigh Malik get's comfortable in the transference chair and closes his eyes, reaches out to the frame and his consciousness slips into the frame, he sees and feels all the Frame sees and feels. Smiling he makes his way to the navigation and still can't get the feeling of Ordans Lips on his forehead out of his head. Also he thinks about his friends that had fused themself permanently with their favourite Warframe. Maybe if he asks them how they did it, he can help Ordis and Ordan? Because he cares about both of them, even if one of them was a murdering mercanery for the Orokin, deep down Ordan is a kind soul.
