rewatching iwtv after reading some of the vampire chronicles is so fun bc they really drop so many little references. like im 160 pages into queen of the damned and i got the whole "killer" reference with bruce when i read the baby jenks chapter but i didnt even realize they make a joke in the episode about the whole "fang gang" of motorcycle riding vampires
#like its such a batshit chapter its interesting that thats what they choose to reference#i really liked the chapter but bruce seems like a kinda helpful mentor in the books its crazy they made him absolutely horrible#who knows though im not even to lestat's concert in qotd maybe he comes back and is evil in the book too#but like. thats a chapter that probably never would have made it into the show so its cool that they found a way to incorporate it#iwtv#tvc#qotd

Do you think Jason Todd fandom is kinda toxic? Because it seems like NO MATTER what DC do, there'll always be complains. Forget the bad adaptation like Titans. Even Judd Winick cannot escape the criticism with how he potrayed Robin!Jason. They just never satisfied.
SORRY, IT TOOK ME SO LONG TO RESPOND TO THIS. I just moved from Washington D.C. to Seattle, which, for my non-American friends, that's 4442km away. And I DROVE THERE ALL BY MYSELF. And now I'm trying to find new work in a new city and trying to stay mentally healthy and positive. Life is exciting but hard and scary.
*sighs*
As someone who was a fandom elder with V*ltr*n. I've seen some of the worst when it comes to fandom behavior. I'm talking people baking food with shaving razors and trying to give them to the showrunners. I'm talking leaking major plot details and refusing to take it down unless they make their ship canon (I am looking at you, Kl*nce stans) For the most part, DC Comics has had a decades-long reputation of treating their fans like trash and not caring what they think so from what I've seen, we all just grumble and complain in our corners of the internet about how we don't like how X comic portrays Jason Todd.

The challenge with Jason Todd is that he's your clinical anti-hero, the batfamily's Draco in Leather Pants, he's a jerkass woobie, and on top of all of that, he's a Tumblr sexyman. It's a perfect storm for a very fun but frustrating character to be a fan of. It doesn't help that every writer decides to re-invent the wheel every time Jason comes up so his canon lore is confusing at best and inconsistent as a standard.
I guess starting with a general brief on who Jason is and what is uniform about him with every instance he's appeared in comics/media.
Grew up in a poor family in Gotham with a dad who was a petty-mid-level criminal, and a mother who dies of a drug overdose.
Survives on the street on his own by committing petty crimes and potentially even engaging in sexual acts to keep himself alive.
Is cornered by Batman and taken in after Dick Grayson quits/is fired
Becomes the second Robin, but is known for being the harsher, more brutal Robin.
Is killed by Joker after being tortured, but somehow comes back to life and regains senses through the Lazarus Pit
Resolves himself to be better than Batman by basically being Batman but kills people.
Where there has been a lot of conflict in the fandom is the fact that Jason Todd is not a character that is written consistently. DC Comics loves to go with the narrative that Jason was "bad from the start" and was the "bad robin" when, yes, he has trouble controlling his anger, but he also still is just as invested in seeing the best of Gotham City and trying to be a positive change for the world as any other DC Comics hero.
Where I get frustrated with the fandom is its ability to knit-pick every detail of a comic they don't like while completely disregarding everything that makes the comics great and worth it to read. My example being Urban Legends. To which most people had pretty mixed reactions to. I was critical of the comic at first but as it went along I ended up really liking it. I have a feeling DC Comics went to Chip Zdarsky and told him he had 6 issues to bring Jason back into the Bat Family, and honestly he didn't do a bad job. Did it feel rushed? Absolutely. I wish there was more development of Jason and Bruce's characters and their dynamic as a whole. However, where I see a lot of people being angry and upset with Urban Legends is that they feel Zdarsky needlessly wrote Jason as an incompetent fool who needs Bruce to save him.
Whether or not that was the intention of Zdarsky is up to debate. However, and this may be controversial, but I don't think he wrote Jason Todd out of character at all. For as fearsome, intimidating, and awesome as Red Hood is. Jason is a character who is absolutely driven by his emotions. Why do you think he donned the role of Red Hood? As a response to his anger towards The Joker for killing him, and towards Bruce for not taking action against The Joker and for seemingly replacing him so quickly after he died. Jason didn't care about being the murderous Robin Hood or for being the bloody hammer of justice against N*zi's and P*d*ph*les. He only cared originally about making The Joker and Bruce pay. It wasn't until he trained under the best assassins in the world and realized most of them were horrific criminals who trafficked children and were p*dos that Talia began to realize that the teachers that she sent Jason to train under started dying horrific and painful deaths.
The entire story of the Cheer story in Batman Urban Legends was started because it finally forced some consequences upon Jason. Tyler, aka Blue Hood's father was a drug dealer who gave his supply to his wife and kids. And when Tyler's father admitted he gave the drugs to Tyler, it immediately made him fall within the self-imposed philosophical kill-list of Jason Todd. And Jason, well, he proceeds to kill Tyler's father. When this happens, Jason is in shock. Tyler's dad fit the bill to easily and justifiably be killed by Jason. We've never seen Jason having to deal with the consequences of being a murderous vigilante on a micro-level. When Jason realizes what he's done in that he's murdered Tyler's dad, he's shocked. He tells Babs the truth. He does a rational thing because he's in shock. He doesn't know what to do, he never has had to face the consequences of his actions as Red Hood and now the gravity of befriending a child as a vigilante hero who kills people just set in when he killed the father of the same child he was just introduced to.

(Oh here's a little aside because it had to be said, Jason would not have been a good father or a good mentor to Tyler and absolutely should not have been his new Robin. Jason is a man who is in his early 20's (not saying men in their early 20's can't be good fathers at all) who is a brutal serial killer using the guise of a vigilante anti-hero to let him escape most of the law. the complications of having the man who murdered your father adopt you and make you his sidekick are way too numerous for me to explain in a long-winded already heavy Tumblr essay post. There's a reason why we don't advocate for a story where Joe Chill adopted Bruce Wayne or one where Tony Zucco took in Dick Grayson.)
The next biggest argument is that they feel that Jason is giving up his guns as a means to just be invited back into the Bat-Family. To which I will tell anyone who has that argument to go actually read Urban Legends. Already have and still have that argument? Please re-read it. Don't want to? That's okay, I will paste the images from the comic where Jason specifically says that he doesn't want to give up his weapons for Bruce and his real reasoning down below since the comic isn't exactly readily accessible.

Jason gave up the guns because he felt the gravity of what he had done and knows how it'll effect Tyler. Thankfully his mom is alive and in recovery. But Tyler doesn't have a father anymore. And Jason killed Tyler's father. It may have been in accordance to Jason's philosophy, but it was a case where it blurred the lines. Jason Todd isn't a black and white character, just very dark gray. He doesn't kill aimlessly like the Joker. If you are on Jason's list you probably have done something pretty horrific, and also just in general, being in his way or being a threat to him. Mind you, in early days of Red Hood and the Outlaws (Image below) Jason almost killed 10 innocent civilians in a town in Colorado all because they saw him kill a monster. That being said, Jason isn't aimless in his kills.
(Also can we just take a moment to appreciate Kenneth Rocafort's art? DC Comics said we need to rehabilitate Jason Todd's image and Kenneth Rocafort said hold my beer: It's so SO GOOD)
That being said, the key emphasis in the story of Cheer asides from trying to introduce Jason Todd back into the Bat Family and give an actual purpose for him being there, other than him just kind of being there ala Bowser every time he shows up for Go Kart racing, Tennis, Golf, Soccer, and the Olympic games when Mario invites him, is that Jason and Bruce ultimately both want the same thing. Jason wants to be welcomed back into the family and to be loved and appreciated. Bruce want's Jason back as his son and wants to love and protect Jason. Both of these visions are shown in the last chapter of Cheer while under the effect of the Cheer Gas. It's ultimately this love and appreciation they both have for each other that helps them overcome their challenge and win.
Jason Todd is a character who, just like Bruce, has been through so much pain and so much hate in his life. The two are meant to parallel each other. While Bruce chose to see the best in everyone, giving every rogue in his gallery the option to be helped and give them a second chance, hence why he never kills, Jason has a similar view on wanting to protect the public, but he understands that some crimes are so heinous they cannot be forgiven, or that some habitual criminals are due to stay habitual criminals, and need to be put down. But at the end of the day, the two of them both try to protect people in their own ways.
I am aware that through the writings of various DC Comics authors such as Scott Lobdell and Judd Winick, the two have had a very tumultuous relationship. And rightfully so, I am by no means saying that Scott Lobdell writing an arc where Bruce literally beats Jason to within an inch of his life in Red Hood and the Outlaws, nor Judd Winick's interpretation of Under the Red Hood where Bruce throws the Batarang at Jason's neck, slicing his throat and leaving him ambiguously for dead at the end of the comic is appropriate considering DC Comics seems to be trying everything they can to integrate Jason back into the family. That being said, a lot of these writings have shaped the narrative of Jason and Bruce's relationship and have an integral effect on the way the fandom views the two. It doesn't help that Zdarsky acknowledged Lobdell's life-beating of Jason by Bruce at the very end of Cheer by having Bruce give Jason his old outfit back as a means of mending the fence between the two of them. That does complicate a lot of things in terms of how they are viewed by the fandom and helps to cause an even greater divide between the two.
Regardless, I want to emphasize the fact that Jason Todd is a part of the family of his own accord. Yes, he's quite snarky and deadpan in almost every encounter. However, Jason is absolutely a part of the family and has been for a while of his own will. There's a great moment in Detective Comics that emphasizes this. Jason cares about his family because it is his found family. Yes, they may be warry about him and use him as a punching back and/or heckle him. At the end of the day, we're debating the family dynamics of a fictional playboy billionaire vigilante whose kleptomania took the form of adopting troubled children and turning them into vigilante heroes. Jason Todd wants a family that will love and support him. This is a key definition of his character at its most basic. This was proven during the events of Cheer and is being reenforced by DC Comics every time they get the opportunity to do so.
Now, none of this is to say that I hate Judd Winick. I do not, I don't like the fact that in all of his writings of Jason, he just writes him as a dangerous psychopath, and Winick himself admits to seeing Jason as nothing much more than a psychopath. Yet Winick is the one who the majority of the fandom clings to as the one true good writer of Jason Todd because 'Jason was competent, dangerous, smart' Listen, friends, Jason is all of that and I will never deny it. However, what I love about Jason isn't that he's dangerously smart of that writers either write him as angsty angry Tumblr sexyman bait or that they write him as an infantile man child with a gun. There's a large contention of this fandom that has an obsession with Jason Todd being this vigilante gunman who is hot and sexy and while I definitely get the appeal. It is very creepy and downright disturbing that all of you hyperfixate on his use of guns and ability to be a murderer. It is creepy and I'm not necessarily here for it.
What I love about Jason Todd is that despite all of the pain, all of the heartache, all of the betrayal, and bullying, and death, and anguish. Jason Todd is one of the most loving and supportive characters in all of DC Comics. Jason has been through so much in his life, but he still chooses to love. He still chooses to see the bright side in people. Yes, he takes a utilitarian approach and chooses to kill certain villains, but at the end of the day he wants to see a better world, and he wants to be loved. It takes so much courage and so much heart to learn to love again after one has been abused or traumatized. I would not blame Jason at all if he said fuck it and just went full solo and vigilante evil. He has every right to, but he still chooses to be with the Bat Family of his own accord. That's something that I see a lot of in myself. I have been through a lot of trauma and yet I try to be a better person myself in any way that I can. It is extremely admirable of Jason to allow love back into his heart when he really doesn't need to. He kills and he protects because he has this love of society. It may have been shaped by anger and hatred, but Jason has found his place amongst people who love him and value him. I think Ducra, from Red Hood and the Outlaws put it best in the image given below.
To end this tangent, I love Jason Todd and all of his sexy dangerousness, but it's far more than that. As much as Jason may be dangerous and snarky, he loves his family without a shadow of a doubt. I look up to Jason Todd because despite all of his pain and all of his trauma, he still choses to love. Jason Todd is a character who is someone I love because despite all of his flaws and having a very toxic fandom, he still serves as a character filled with so much heart and so much passion. I wish more writers would understand that. But for now I will live with what I have. Even though the fandom may be vocal about it's hatred for his characterization, I choose to love Jason regardless because he is a character who chooses love and acceptance regardless of his pain. Jason Todd is by no means a good person in any sense of the word. He has easily killed upwards of 100 people by now. He is a character who is flawed and complex but ultimately is one who powers forwards and finds love and heart in a place from so much pain and anguish. That is what I love about Jason Todd. After all, to quote a famous undead robot superhero, "What is grief, if not love persevering?" Jason Todd chooses to love despite all of the trauma and pain and grief. Yes, he is hardened in his exterior, but inside there is a man with a lot of love to give and someone who deserves the world in my eyes.

An Unexpected Reunion
I’m gonna try out this Omega Jason Todd Week challenge thing with an idea that’s been in my head for awhile.
Day 1: Jason presents post-Lazarus
Roy Harper is rescued by someone who claims they’ve met, but he can’t figure out how he’s supposed to know the omega.
The whole rescue had been a bit of a blur for Roy. Bread and water for a month, maybe more, would do that. He could really go for a burger. The idea of food was the only thing keeping his feet moving. That and his mysterious rescuer. Grateful as he was, Roy wanted to know who and why. If anyone was going to rescue him, he thought it would have been Oliver or the Titans. Neither came.
He was pretty sure he couldn’t blame being out of the hero loop on not knowing this guy. The guy had clearly been in the business for a long time, but Roy had never heard of him. People only heard about the ones that got caught or boasted. Roy didn’t think his rescuer fell into either category. He was pretty sure his rescuer could run laps around everyone he knew and they’d never know.
Finding out what this guy wanted with Roy was Roy’s new top priority after eating all of this guy’s food. He couldn’t see the smirk but could feel it. His rescuer wore a red hood and mask covering the bottom half of his face. It was hard to make out any features except for blue eyes and a streak of white in his black hair. The gray body armor disguised as leathers was an interesting choice. Roy liked the bronze gauntlets and greaves. The modern mixed with some traditional worked well on the guy.
“You won’t enjoy all that coming back up.” His rescuer took the rest of the food away.
Roy nodded, already full on a sandwich and half an apple. He wasn’t sure when the last time he had juice was, but he was starting to feel better. His stomach wasn’t going to be happy later but whatever. He switched to the glass of water he’d been given and tried for answers.
“So who are you?”
The guy shrugged. “Different people call me different names.”
“Uh huh, must be hard for name recognition when you don’t want anyone to know you exist.”
“My mother told me the same thing. I’ve been going by Red Hood for awhile.”
Roy frowned. There were a few times he’d helped Dick out and that name had popped up. He was pretty sure it was the name Joker went by before going, well, batshit. Only a large amount of guts or small amount of intelligence could be responsible.
“You wouldn’t be the first to question it.”
“I’m sure. Why’d you pick it?”
The guy shook his head. “Long story.”
“Mhmm, then why’d you save my sorry ass?”
“That’s not how I’d describe it, and you deserve better. I kinda know a thing or two about never measuring up in a mentor’s view.”
Roy tilted his head. “Is that so?”
“Uh, yeah.” Red Hood went to rub the back of his neck and knocked his hood off. With a better view, he looked familiar in a way Roy couldn’t place.
“So why’d you really save me?”
“I wasn’t planning to, but it seems everyone got caught in legal tape. I think the only reason they kept you there was to get something in exchange for ‘graciously’ letting you live. They weren’t moving fast enough in my opinion.”
“You think I’m gonna buy that? You’ve stayed off everyone’s radar just to get involved now?”
“Fine. You did something for me that was small for you but meant a lot to me. I’m paying you back.”
Roy didn’t buy it, but the last explanation sounded the closest to the truth. He was given the option to stay until he was back to full strength. The guy probably didn’t save him just to kill him so Roy stayed. The home cooked meals were heavenly after the crap he’d been eating for the past year. The house was on the beach and far away from the rest of the world.
The first week was tense. Roy was probably to blame. Hood took his mask off after a few days and called Roy by his real name which unsettled Roy for awhile. There were little things that rung bells that Roy couldn’t place. He watched Hood sometimes discreetly sometimes blatantly. The scent blockers coming off were as much as a shock as the omega scent that followed. Hood started to make more sense.
Roy slowly got back into training. Everything had taken a hit so he had to work back to where he’d been before. He tried pushing himself once then was knocked down by Hood. The scolding was from concern so Roy let Hood come up with his recovery routine as long as he got to watch Hood do his workout.
Sparring came two weeks in. Hood always won. Roy had used every trick he could think of to win and got nowhere. That didn’t mean he didn’t enjoy it. Hood’s quips were as quick as his attacks, and Roy could match him. The line between banter and flirting became blurred to the point Roy didn’t care. An omega that could beat him in a fight and took care of him was slowly becoming what he wanted. Roy just hoped it wasn’t all one sided.
It took a month and a half for them to have nightmares the same night. Late night tv kept the edge off. Roy threw one arm on the back of the couch. It landing behind where Hood was sitting meant nothing and everything. Roy wasn’t sure if it was just an inch between them or a canyon.
“What was it that I did that you felt like you owed me?” The question had been at the back of his mind for awhile. His nightmare and the silence pushed it forward.
Hood leaned into his arm some. “You gave me your number.”
“I think I would remember giving my number to someone as pretty as you.” Roy let his hand drop onto Hood’s shoulder and toy with the loose thread.
“I wasn’t an omega then, and I was fourteen.”
“How old are you now?”
“Roughly twenty one.”
“Roughly?” Roy frowned. Seven years ago he would have been running with the original Titans. He’d given his number to plenty of people.
“You said I could call you whenever I needed to rant about family and you’d tell me embarrassing stories until I felt better.”
Roy’s hand stopped moving. He remembered that conversation. There hadn’t been any calls because that kid died. Roy had visited his grave, but all the little things he noticed made sense if the guy he kinda had an arm around was Dick’s kid brother. He certainly wasn’t a kid anymore.
“Jason? How?”
The fear mixed into the omega’s scent pulled at Roy’s heart. He knew that kind of fear. Fear of a rejection that was sure to happen, that had maybe happened already. It was a fear Roy had become all too familiar with. He hated it, especially coming from the person who’d been looking out for him.
“It’s okay. I believe you. You don’t have to tell me specifics, but I want to know what happened if you can tell me.” Roy pulled Jason close and kept his arms around him.
“I don’t really know. I just woke up with all my injuries still there and six feet of dirt above me. Talia found me and took me in. Ra’s was interested then grew bored. She put me in the Lazarus Pit so he wouldn’t do something. Ra’s was pissed. I presented a couple hours later. Talia thinks that’s because the Pit fixed the malnutrition. I found out about what happened while I was gone.” Jason took a deep breath. “The Pit Madness latched onto that. I was sent to some different teachers. One of them got through to me so I was able to fight off the Pit. I went back to Talia and looked after Damian until he was sent to… Gotham.”
“I don’t know what you mean about the Pit Madness.”
“Means I was more than wrathful about not being avenged and a new kid in my suit. Ducra explained some stuff about not everyone being capable of taking a life. Some people can physically do it, but the mental side could shut them down or turn them into a monster. It made sense. He’s never been exactly mentally healthy.”
“You were missed. I saw it almost ruin Dick and heard about what it did to Bruce. Hell, we talked like three times, and I missed you. You were mourned and still are being grieved, Jay.” Roy pulled Jason into his neck and ran a hand through his hair. He’d wanted to repay him but not like this.
“I tried to go back, but they wouldn’t listen. One whiff of my scent and they started screaming at me how it was a horrible joke and I was an awful person for even thinking of doing that. They wouldn’t listen. They ordered me to leave and never come back. I can’t even see Damian now.”
Roy held onto him tightly and bit back his growl. An alpha’s order was near impossible for their pup to ignore. Grief made people do stupid things, but the logic and evidence run Bats shouldn’t have been that stupid.
“I can kidnap Dick and force him to listen to you.”
Jason shook his head and buried deep into Roy’s neck. The quiet sobs and tears hurt worse than any knife or bullet. Roy didn’t know how to fix that so he held him together while Jason fell apart.
The tv droned on about nothing.

I’m so glad you’re back - Chapter 12
chapter 1 chapter 2 chapter 3 chapter 4 chapter 5 chapter 6 chapter 7 chapter 8 chapter 9 chapter 10 chapter 11 chapter 13 chapter 14 chapter 15 Epilogue
We're almost there guys!! Now that I've finished it I kinda wanna upload it all at once but we've gotta be patient ❤❤
hope you enjoy!!!! let me know your thoughts!
The tunnels were dark. There was barely any light to allow Natasha to see as she ran down the halls, but thankfully her flashlight managed to light the way as she ran from the disgusting creatures called the Chitauri. The same ones she had fought over a decade ago in new york with her newly formed team. Just herself, thor, tony, bruce Clint and steve. There were tons of them chasing her, she could just about outrun them before she found an opening to the level above and the further levels above that.
She knew the opening would allow her to get to the ground outside once she reached the top. Throwing her spare grappling hook up, she managed to get it to hook onto something, allowing her to automatically pull herself upwards. She had replaced it once she had resulted to prepare for the blowback after the second snap, just in case. At the time she didn't even realise she was replacing it, Vormir had still been fresh, her old hook swiped and used by Clint to keep her from falling off that goddamn cliff. But she had replaced it, there wasn't any reason she had too, she didn't expect for this to happen, maybe it was just an automatic response to losing her equipment, she'd done it for years, loosing and using things that needed replacing. But now she was glad she had replaced it because if she hadn't, she'd probably be Chitauri food right now.
The Chitauri tried to follow her by climbing up the walls, their claws digging in to the metal walls and curling around handrails allowing them leverage to grip against, but before they could reach her she pulled out her gun from her thigh holster, making sure to keep the gauntlet secure under her other arm, and shot at them as she spun around the cord, some were killed by the bullets and some weren't, but thankfully she had her widow bites and miniature explosive arrowheads that she had spare for client, in her utility belt. Throwing them at the creatures, they started to set off as she rode up to the cord, killing the remaining Chitauri without hurting herself, allowing her a clean getaway.
Finally reaching the top level, Natasha unattached herself from the cord and collapsed onto the floor, letting out a huff of a laugh and a huge breath she clutches at the metal glove to her chest when She can hear a sound to her right, like footsteps. suddenly she jerks her eyes open. But Natasha just sees her friend nebula walking towards her.
Letting out a sigh in relief at the sight of her friend, Natasha speaks to the woman that her son considers an aunt.
“Boy am I glad to see you neb” the redhead shoots her arms upwards, holding out the gauntlet for nebula to take, which the blue cyborg gladly does. To be honest, nebula though it might have been harder to take the gauntlet but it seemed this woman was more than happy to hand it over. Natasha was glad to finally let someone else take the responsibility for the most powerful thing in the universe but soon she would come to regret it.
Closing her eyes once more, Natasha lets herself catch her breath and relax, flopping her arms down to her sides.
“Father I have the stones”
Shooting her eyes open, and sitting up Natasha is confused at first, it isn't until she looks at nebula again with confusion, that she realises she is missing her golden faceplate. now Its silver, like it was the first time they had met. This wasn't her nebula. Then it clicked. Once they had got back from the quantum tunnel and from getting the stones, she had wandered off on her own, no one had seen her when bruce had snapped. Natasha thought maybe it was because they had lost a team member and she wanted to let them mourn. But it was too much coincidence. Nebula goes missing and then the compound blows up?
“what?”
Before Natasha can react to her suspicion, ‘nebula’ pulls out a gun, aiming it at her head. The spy could see the blue finger inching closer to the trigger, ready to pull it on the woman on the ground with no hesitation. The only thing that stops her from shooting is a voice calling her name, it isn't one that's familiar with Natasha, but nebula instantly knows who it is.
Shifting her eyes to see this new voice, Natasha sees green skin and red hair. Then it clicks, nebula and rocket had shown her a picture once of nebulas sister. Gamora. It was her, and she was holding out a gun, aiming at her sister.
Nebula follows the braided redheads gaze to see her sister.
“Stop” For a second, one small second, nebula actually thinks about it. But she shakes her head. The gun on Natasha still ready to fire.
“I can't.” tightening her grip on the gun nebula moves to fire but is stopped once more. But not by her sister, but by her older self.
“Stop!”
“You're betraying us.” its all the younger nebula can think about, gamora had been loyal to their father and so had she. She just wanted the same appreciation that her sister received and if helping his cause would do that then so be it. Her sister had always been his favourite. She just wanted to be loved. Was that too much to ask?
“You don't have to do this.” it's her older self that speaks up this time. Future nebula knew she could change, she was the past nebula at one point, and in that timeline, she was a few months of joining her sister anyway. But maybe this, the change in her timeline was too much.
“I am - this.”
“No, you're not.” Gamora's heart almost breaks at her sister's thoughts, nebula didn't believe she could do good, that she could change. All she needed was a push, a little help.
“See what we'll become.” future nebula begs her past self.
“Nebula, listen to her.” gamora tells her sister, she wants to believe she will change sides but she can't take that risk just in case. Gamora is still holding the gun at her sister, and nebula still holding hers at Natasha.
“You can change.” future nebula tells her, but her pst selfs eyes darken even further, her voice becoming deeper at the realisation that she would never be allowed too.
“He won't let me”
Suddenly, nebulas gun is moved from Natasha's head and is swung in the direction of her sister, but gamora is too slow to react to the sudden act.
“No!”
Nebula steps closer to pull the trigger but before she can a bang goes off, and then there's a hold in her chest. Right in her heart. Natasha and gamora stare in shock at the injured cyborg as she quickly falls to the ground, dead.
Both woman looking up, they see that it was the real nebula, the future one that had shot the past version of herself.
as Natasha sat and watched the strained look on her friends face, her nebula crouched down to be at her level and carefully checked she was okay.
“Nat are you okay? Is James safe?”
“I'm fine neb, and James is at tony and peppers don't worry. Thank you.” cannula nodded at her friend, not needing her to thank her. She would do anything to protect the ones she considered family. Swivelling on her feet, she leaned over to pick the gauntlet from the dead cyborg's arms and passed it to the redhead.
“Natasha, you need to get the stones to our friends.”
“be safe.” Natasha nodded quickly and opened her mouth.
“I will, you be safe too got it?” giving the cyborg a quick hug, Natasha turns to look at the green woman who had a look of disbelief and surprise at her sister.
“Pleasure to meet you gamora, your sister told me all about you, id loves to stay and chat but you know.”
Gamora agreed with the redheaded woman, and let her get back to business, they both watched as Natasha left the level and made it up to the surface. Gamora just couldn't believe she had actually seen her sister hug another being willingly and had worried about another called James? Her sister really had made friends and even thought of them as a family in the future.
---------------------
A violent battle immediately begins between the Avengers, their allies and Thanos' army.
Both sides collide with each other on the ground and in the air, as a giant Ant-Man punches a Leviathan to the ground, the same type of leviathan the original avengers had fought in new york in 2012. Tony and pepper were fighting side by side in the sky, repulsor beams aiming at different enemies as they fly back to back. Down on the ground below the wife and husband were steve and thor fighting off the chitauri that were trying to rip them apart, at one point they ended up with each others weapons, thor holding his classic weapon and steve with Stormbreaker.
“No, no, you have the little one.”
Steve playfully rolled his eyes at the god as they swapped weapons once more so thor could have the bigger one and so they could continue to fight the ravenous creatures charging towards them.
Suddenly in the sky, tony is ambushed by Cull Obsidian, the giant being knocking him with his weapon but swinging past to catch him was peter. The teenager then shot his webs at the monster and pulled using his strength, making Obsidion trip on his feet and fall to the ground but before the giant could get up and fight back, Scott lang in his giant form conveniently stepped on him, instantly crushing and killing him.
After watching the giant being crushed, peter instantly ran over to his mentor to check if he was okay. Tony was speechless, the kid was here. Peter was stood right in front of him after all this time, the same kid babbling on without breathing like he used to do. This kid, peter, was the reason they brought everyone back. If he hadn't of seen peters picture a few days ago, he doubts he would have made the quantum tunnel time machine.
“Hey! Holy cow! You will not believe what's been going on. Do you remember when we were in space? And I got all dusty? And I must've passed out because I woke up and you were gone. But Doctor Strange was there right. And he said 'It's been five years. Come on, they need us.' And he started doing the yellow sparkly thing that he does. Anyway…”
All tony can do is walk towards the teenager and pull him into a hug, a content smile on his face as he embraced peter. This hug came 5 years too late. Peter was hesitant at first, he didn't actually realise what tony was doing until he was hugging him, but as soon as he realised he returned the hug with a smile.
“This is nice.”
------------
On a separate part of the battlefield, peter quill is trying to fight off the chitauri that are now beginning to outnumber him, he doesn't have enough hands or guns to fight them all off, but suddenly another blaster from behind kills the oncoming chitauri about to attack him.
Turning around to see his saviour, peters eyes land upon a green woman with dark red hair. Gamora. But he thought she died? Mantis had told him Thanos had been in grief when hey tried to stop him on titan. But here she was standing in front of him, his girlfriend. The woman he loved. His eyes widened in disbelief as he walked closer to her.
“Gamora? I thought I lost you.” Peter continues to get closer until the point he's inches away from her body and raises his arms to grab her face to pull her in for a kiss but before he can touch her, gamora lifts her knee straight into his groin, making him scream from the pain and collapse on the floor.
“This is the one? Really?” As she watches the human struggle on the floor, she raises one eyebrow in disgust and turns back round to her sister, the 2023 nebula who was stood behind her and questioned her. Nebula just shrugged her shoulders at gamora.
“It was either him or the tree.”
--------------
Running onto the battlefield, the redhead's eyes land on the countless soldiers and warriors fighting against their enemies. Looks like she missed a lot down in the tunnels. But the biggest thing that stood out to her was that every one of her friends was fighting. Not just her friends form the last 5 years, the ones she had made a team with but her friends she had lost all those years ago too. In the distance she can see red balls of energy, instantly recognising them as Wanda's powers. She was back! But it wasn't just Wanda that was back, she could see endless soldiers dressed in Asgardian armour, Thor’s lost people. She could see the young boy named peter swinging around dodging fire. She tried to look for more of her friends, but the oncoming hoard of chitauri won't allow her to stand and observe. She starts to run for it. The gauntlet still clutched in her arms.
Dodging as many creatures as she could and killing the ones that came into contact with her, Natasha ran towards the middle of the battleground, trying to find anyone that could help her but everyone is busy trying to defend themselves. Then Natasha remembered she still has her comm in, being too preoccupied with Chitauri and sister drama to notice or use it before. She stops, shielding herself behind some debree of a rock watching the battle commence.
“Tony! Can you hear me? I've got the stones, What do I do with them? Tony?”
“I'm a little busy right now red so ill have to direct your call to the man behind you. Thank you for calling.”
The redhead's eyebrows knit together at Tony's words. Confusion covered her face. Then turning around on the spot to her left, Natasha braid flips over to the other side of her shoulder. But shes stopped from moving any further by the overwhelming sense of shock she feels when she sees the man stood in front of her.
Looking the exact same he did when she last saw him. His longer darker hair and his beard the exact same. The same look of love on his face whenever he looked at her.
Natashas eyes start to well up at the sight of the super-soldier holding his old shield and Mjolnir in his hands. Her soldier.
Steve.

Jane The Virgin Widow Horndog Chapter 60 #JaneTheVirgin
Jane the Virgin Horndog Chapter 60
Episode Rating: 8.5 (.5 for all the pecs and abs)
Oh, was there a new episode of Jane the Virgin on Monday? I missed it. It’s been so long since the show was on, I started doing other things with my Monday nights—salsa dancing, play readings, cable news. Aww, I’m just kidding; I still love Jane. But I think the CW needs to realize that most of us fell in love with Jane on Netflix and Hulu and we gobbled her up with one binge. Waiting every week is hard enough; taking these random long breaks is a bit much.
Still, WHAT A FRIGGEN EPISODE! Let’s jump in, shall we? You’ll remember, last episode, the sight of buff Fabian made Jane’s vagina glow. Turns out, Jane Villanueva liked shirtless telenovela stars underneath waterfalls ever since she was a young girl. Now that her engine is revving again, Jane and Xiomara are having a little girl talk about getting in Fab’s pants, when Abuela walks in. Abuela’s motor’s turning over, too, these days, but Alba hasn’t told Jorge she doesn’t believe in sex outside of marriage. (I guess she means “anymore,” because Alba had sex with Mateo the Elder before she married him; that was the whole point of the feud with her sister and why she made Jane promise to be a virgin and--- you know what? Nevermind.)
Jane’s agent, Jeremy calls Jane to tell her the book is ready to go to market. The marketing team wants to use Jane’s sensational/tragic life to help sell her book. Jane thinks it will be too painful and tells them she wants the book to stand on its own. Jeremy says they’ll give it a shot and encourages Jane to cultivate more Twitter followers to hype her appearance at the Miami Book Fair.
Luisa’s back in town. Raf doesn’t play. He hasn’t let Luisa near any of his children. In fact, Elvis the ex-con is really Elvis the Private Eye, and Raf asks him to bug Luisa’s room in case Rose contacts her. Well, of course, Luisa’s blonde girl, Eileen, is Rose. And Rose is a criminal mastermind, drug lord, and murderess—even if she’s being played by Elisabeth Rohm, and no amount of wiretapping is going to catch her. Rose pulls out a sleep sound machine and has an argument with Luisa on the balcony and demands to move to another room.
Chuck is getting along just fine with Petra and the gifted and talented twins, and thirsty Rafael is jealous. Seriously, Rafael is parched when it comes to Petra. What is that about? When did it happen? I love Yael G, so anything that means she's got more screen time is alright with me, but really? Really.
Meanwhile, the police, WHICH INCLUDES DENNIS, want Petra to lure Anezka back to the U.S.
Rogelio is convinced Fab is “All About Eve”-ing him with little digs about his weight and age, tweeting marginally unflattering selfies. When Xiomara tells Ro Jane’s crushing on Fab, Ro gets jealous, protective and loud—he spills the beans. Jane’s embarrassed, but Fab doesn’t mind. Fab doesn’t seem like the brightest goji bean-loving telenovela star, but he has a banging body.
Alba, WHO IS ON FIRE FOR JORGE, finally tells him she’s celibate, and it looks like that’s going to be a problem. Alba needs to crush a flower in her hand, if you catch my drift.
Fab finds out Jane needs Twitter followers to get into the Book Fair, so he tips off the paparazzi and stages a fake lovers’ quarrel. Jane thinks it’s a sweet gesture, but Fab wants a little quid pro quo (and not the good kind): Fab wants Jane to put a good word in for him with Rogelio. Fab has a book coming out too, by the by. Isn’t it cute how he and Jane have something in common? Jane puts in the good word.
Thirsty Raf (maybe all that linen soaks up water) drops by to see if Petra needs comforting after calling Anezka. Chuck’s there, and Petra’s all “Shorty got a job, Shorty got a car, Shorty gon be okay,” or however that Pink! song went. Raf and Chuck growl and Raf leaves.
Luisa and Rose move to another room. Luisa meets Raf for dinner and tries to convince him to let her see the rest of her remaining family. Raf asks where Emily is and Luisa says she out doing some hippie stuff and Raf texts Elvis with the go-ahead for the wiretap. Rose is upstairs in the new room that Rafael switched the air conditioner off in. ROSE TAKES OFF HER EILEEN FACE! It’s the original Rose, Bridget somebody! She’s my favorite Rose! Elvis lets himself in and Rose covers her face with her shirt and tells him to get out.
Rogelio confronts Fab about the on-set sabotage. Fab tells Ro that RO is his idol. Alls well that ends well and Fab suggests a mani with his mentor, but that reminds Rogelio of his bromance with Michael and he declines. Awww. I understand, Ro. *MICHAEL FLASHBACK*
Jane asks Professor Donaldson , her new best bud instead of Lina I guess (#TuesdaysWithMarlene) if she can get some famous authors to do a blurb for her book. Professor Donaldson tells Jane to stop being precious about her book and let the publishers sell the book with everything they’ve got. Jane calls Jeremy and tells him they can use Jane’s past to promote the book.
Xo and Alba lovingly reassure Jane that it's okay to move on with her life and Michael will never be a mere footnote in her story. She starts to understand letting go is a process.
Part of the process is sharing that insight at the bookfair with MARIA SEMPLE who wrote Where’d You Go Bernadette, which you will remember Sam gave Jane in the beginning of the season flash back and which Michael’s mom’s book club was reading when Jane burst in to plead her case with Mrs. Cordero.
It’s a hit and Jane even gets a fan and signs and autograph. Make that two fans: Fab was watching in the shadows and he started getting all waterfall wet for Jane. Fab shows up at the Villanueva house and asks Jane out on a date. Xo has an orgasm.
Chuck tells Petra Raf still has the hots for her. She all “No he doesn’t….” but is thinking does he? Like she might want to revisit that scenario.
Xo reassures Ro it’s ok to get mani pedis with Fab and miss Michael.
Rose is paranoid and wants to leave. Luisa tells Rose she doesn’t want to leave the hotel because she wants to repair her relationship with Raf and meet his kids.
ANEZKA GETS STOPPED AT THE BORDER! She threatens to spill the beans if Petra doesn't help her out.
I loved this eppy. All the superfluous characters (Abbey, Bad Mateo, Bruce) were gone or off to the side, old favorites were back (The Real Rose, Anezka), and Fabian was half-necked most of the time. It looks like JANE IS GOING TO GET SOME! I'm really ready for this, even though I totally miss Michael. My biggest complaint? They've GOT to give Xiomara something to do besides be in love with Rogelio! She's the official listener of the family. Remember when she was bringing milkshakes to the yard?
Some Questions: When did Rafael get so surveillance-y? He seems hell bent on catching Rose. Does Rose have something to do with Scott's death? I'd kinda like that, all the ish Rose has done, to go to jail for killing "Vests" would be like catching Al Capone for his taxes (look it up). Where have Rose and Luisa been all this time? What's Jorge's story? Why is Alba so fine? (I'm serious, I think Ivonne Coll is a looker.)
Leave some comments!
To Be Continued...
xoxo,
KellyBelle
