trans rhaenyra au, you've already seen my bulleted list about it, so you know most of my ideas already, but for context for anyone else reading this: tldr is rhaenyra transitions in order to be accepted as heir and bc she is actually nb and happy to present as a guy, daemon is their donor so their kids still look like them combined, but 1) convincing people she's a cis man is equivalent to the difficulty of the bastard boys in canon (but with equivalent support from viserys!) and 2) they keep having girls. (using she/her for rhaenyra for clarity in this post but i think in the au it’ll actually be he/him)

ANYWAY.

trans helaena is making me crazy because like. okay. so i've thought a lot about them having all cis girls before because i think it would cause problems and i love to cause problems.

so, before i got this ask, @littlewitchbee brought up that bc i had helaena as the eldest that puts her in the position that rhaenyra was in to begin with/the position she's in canon and frankly, it would suck! i don't want that for her and i think neither do her parents!

whether or not she's trans, i think it's very important to rhaenyra that as someone who got to diy her heir experience she wants her kids to have that freedom too. so if a cis helaena really really doesn't want it, she wouldn't advocate for it, she'd name her second daughter who hopefully DOES want it (@summerwoodsmoke suggested visenya !!!) and i love that idea also

now. if she IS trans. rhaenyra transitioned in order to become a more acceptable heir. if her daughter wants to transition, and get out of it, she's going to let her. and she's still gonna (hopefully! i guess at this point visenya's personality is essentially oc so i can decide lol, but) have a second child to name anyway. but.

otto hightower did not have any issue with his daughter marrying the prince. he did not LIKE that daemon was their sperm donor but he did like that it got hightower blood in the line of succession, and he supported them the whole time. if his only chance at putting a hightower boy on the throne was thwarted for reasons of she is not actually a boy i think he would be very upset.

the thing is. alicent in this world has a partner who supports her. in this world, she has someone who stands up for her, for their children, and that means in this world she gets to tell otto to fuck off. i imagine her saying something like, "your only concern is for the ascension of your grandson, you've entirely failed to consider how badly you're hurting my daughter."

anyway yeah i think rhaenyra would be a GREAT dad. i think she's a fantastic mom in canon and i think that coparenting would be great for them and help alicent break the cycle in general <3

also i think rhaenyra should have a sword.

She married an actor named Watson(not his full name,but this is all she can recall)

Who later on cheated on her with Charlotte

Jade and Charlotte constantly fought for roles in movies and for the spotlight,which only intensified since Charlotte and Watson were together behind Jade's back

When she found out about the affair,she LOST IT, she SNAPPED

She ended up killing both Charlotte and Watson out of anger,but she immediately regretted it

She somehow managed to get away with the act and lived in guilt for the last years of her life,before dying to unknown causes,again most people think it was suicide

Buut her story doesn't end here

Because many many years later,Jason(the toymaker-) dug her up and made her what she is today

She doesn't actually kill anyone,she just makes clothes from discarded skin that Jason leaves behind at times

What are some of your Jiling headcanons?

lol it's kinda funny cuz the most recent liehuo fanfic I wrote, I didn't want to say this outright while advertising it (bc some people are put off by things that aren't strictly canon), but it was basically just a big ol' repository for all my liehuo headcanons :P

But I can also list them out:

Although most art depicts him in roughly the same mold, I think Xuan Ji drastically changes his clothing and hairstyle at least once every six months.

(nsfw) Sheng Lingyuan power bottoms mainly when he wants to manipulate Xuan Ji. However, he never tops, because he always dreamed of topping in his Trepidation dreams, so now even thinking about it gives him a headache. When he’s really in the mood, he uses subterfuge to manipulate Xuan Ji into utterly wrecking him, because the loss of control allows him to experience pleasure without triggering his migraine (Xuan Ji wouldn’t offer to bottom much anyway.)

Also the reason Sheng Lingyuan prefers to wear his hair down is because of the headaches (lol coming from personal experience as a person with super long hair & frequent sinus headaches).

Sheng Lingyuan sacrificed Xiao Zheng’s ability to grow hair in order to heal/cleanse his injured body, partially out of suspicion of a relationship between him and Xuan Ji.

Sheng Lingyuan is like the most unreliable narrator when it comes to Xuan Ji’s musical abilities, because Sheng Lingyuan has just the most hokey, basic music tastes out there. Xuan Ji’ll be out here doing wildly ambitious polyphonic overtone singing and Sheng Lingyuan will be like “Disgusting, stop it with that noise.”

This one isn’t really based on canon, but I like to think that maybe Xuan Ji’s real (birb) body is actually egg-bearing--the reason he presents as a cis guy is the same reason he presents as human--because Lingyuan was his window to the world, and his earliest stages of identity formation were patterned on what he experienced through Lingyuan.

Okay, this is the one where I’m most like *wild eyes & conspiracy corkboard*: I think the gods (as in, Danli) in liehuo must be related to Shadowmen, because they have a lot of the same characteristics. In particular, I think there might have been interbreeding between Vermilion Birds and Shadowmen, and as a result, the Vermilion Bird who was farmed out to the former yao king (ie Wanfei’s mom & Sheng Lingyuan’s maternal grandmother) might have actually been the daughter of a Vermilion Bird and a Shadowman. This headcanon is elaborated in Ch.9-10 of the fic I linked above.

her name's chloe, her parents were Those Parents with the cutesy matching name's picked out and she found it written in a box of her baby things when she was 5 and it just /fit/, y'know? (zoe would have been zander, so she /really/ dodged a bullet there)

the baseball glove was a gift from santa when she was 6, and that's how she figured out santa wasn't real. chloe wrote one letter and gave it to her parents cuz she had to, but she sent another one secretly with her real list (nail polishes and "shimmery lip stuff", just like zoe wanted) and she asked santa to please write her real name on the gift because then mommy and daddy had to know she was really a girl, right? but instead, she got a baseball glove, and she told zoe later and they both cried. and when zoe told their parents "santa's not real", chloe got in trouble. (but zoe shared her nail polishes and shimmer lip balm, because sisters have to stick together)

chloe's so close to zoe's age that people thought they were fraternal twins when they were little, and they kind of believed it sometimes? obv they figured out that zoe's younger, but up til middle school they still just go with it. it's only when everything starts getting really bad that chloe really thinks of zoe as her "little sister", cuz she sees zoe as like, pure compared to herself, the monster child.

even when shit's bad between them, if they're alone, zoe calls her "chlo" and "sister" and all that. (even if it's usually some variation of "goddammit chlo, you are literally the worst sister ever, i hate you!")

sometimes chloe wishes zoe would slip up in front of someone else, just so she wouldn't be the only person who knows. she's resigned herself to the fact that she's never coming out, never transitioning, none of it. as soon as the Printer Incident happened and suddenly everyone knew her as "connor murphy, the psycho", she knew she'd never do it herself.

she's always known she likes boys, and for about a month in sixth grade, she wondered if she was just a gay guy. but then a boy kissed her and asked if she'd be his "boyfriend" and she just. no. definitely not a guy. but she lets people assume she's a gay guy bc it's just easier that way. (chloe's actually bi, but she mostly likes boys. zoe laughs when she finds out and says they really are opposite twins, since zoe mostly likes girls.)

the opposite twins thing is kind of a running joke, but also pretty true. zoe's hair it's a little lighter, but she's not as pale. chloe's hair is a little darker, but her skin is lighter. their hair parts are both slightly off center, but on opposite sides. zoe is right handed, chloe is left handed. zoe is more girly, likes bright colors and pop music. chloe likes more plain clothes, dark colors, and she secretly loves 90s girl grunge. (even if she were out, she'd dress p much the same, just with some purple instead of all black and grey, and dark makeup.)

chloe loves her sister more than anything, but she also kind of hates her. zoe is cis, and pretty, and kind of popular. guys like her, she gets good grades, she's the perfect daughter. and chloe is... not. she's just the fucked up crazy kid, a million feet tall, with literally no friends. she's failing almost every class and she's awful to her parents. even evan hansen likes zoe, and it's not surprising it's just disappointing. it's just unfair. the one guy chloe maybe likes and could imagine might be not horrible to hang out with, is in love with zoe. because of course he is. who wouldn't be?

when chloe's gone, zoe is completely broken. everyone's expecting her to mourn her brother, and she's the only one who knows she never had a brother to begin with. she knows right away that evan's emails are fake, because no real best friend would ever write "dear connor murphy..." zoe knows she was probably chloe's best friend, and she feels fucking awful because the last year or so was non-stop fighting. she knew chloe need help, that she had issues, and zoe didn't fight for her. chloe always stood up for her, got in a few literal physical fights for her, and zoe couldn't even tell her parents that chloe needed help, therapy, medication, /anything/. so zoe's pretty sure she's the biggest hypocrite on the planet, bc it turns out that /she's/ the "worst sister ever", not chloe. 

(if chloe survived, zoe would help her come out to their parents and fight for her every step of the way, and evan would be even more confused bc holy shit chloe's pretty but he likes/liked zoe and w h a t   e v e n ??? is it weird to like them both? and honestly the murphy girls just think it's funny to make him blush so sometimes they do play up the opposite twins thing. it also works on alana a bit, and zoe is /so/ not complaining about that)

he’s a fantastic feature writer. has like two pulitzers for it i think. pretty good w jokes sometimes. all the stuff im complaining about fortunately is crap that he doesnt publish in natl newspapers. but its incredible af coz he always identifies as hyperliberal and its like well, that really makes this unsurprising actually that you express all these Opinions and Stances such as the following i remember well

- at times playing up a stance of “feminists are ridiculous and can’t take a joke or get a man” with exaggeration for a joke but clearly actually finding a lot of basic shit laughable. also asking One self-identified feminist every time he wanted to solve a “is this sexist or nah” issue

- e.g. he honestly made fun of the idea of having sorta break rooms with comforting crap when women were having irl discussions about rape and those who had suffered it might need a break. cuz thats just embarrassing and contributing to the stereotype that women are oversensitive and weak

- in a column joking about how everyone today is ~so~ pc, which is always inherently a shit mess of an argument, he listed the obligation to refer to trans people by the correct pronouns no matter what their genitals were like and whether they even planned to involve any medical procedures at all as being an example of ludicrous pc clenching. of course it was an awkward mashup of made up jargon by cis people trying to make fun of trans people and showing they actually know nothing about them

- also expressed earnest bemusement over the notion that there are trans people who arent straight. because the only reason ppl are trans is because theyre trying to align themselves more closely with the natural state of being attracted to a different gender. and everyone who isn’t straight of course wishes that they were, like how trans people curse their transness and long to be cis

- oh god a real winner i just remembered. god knows how the topic came up but he spent a long time arguing that, for example at a college party where people are fucked up, if a girl agrees to have sex with a guy and he pulls something like doing a switch in a dark room with a different guy so that some other dude is the one having sex with the girl, then that’s clearly awful and heinous and deceptive but its not rape! cmon rape is a serious accusation and we wouldnt wanna burden these bright young men with something like the consequences of their own choice to rape someone

- he was big on feminism being code for oversensitivity; once in an essay praising one of his daughters who was now going to college, he talked about how for some reason she was at a fire station i guess volunteering or smthing idk and even though she apparently had to be under 18 at the time and even though she was a human being, presumably there were a lot of grownass men sexually harassing her, and when he asked afterwards if it made her uncomfortable, presumably never bothering to tell the guys to stop either as her father or as a human being, she was all like dont be stupid its a fire station. and i guess he was all “good for her for realizing that sometimes being treated as a publically owned object is just Joking Around and you gotta expect it in certain places”

- i’m sure there was some great racist shit too but he was actually kind of careful about talking about that
