I like that the direction the toh crew is going with the Blight parents- like Dana said, there is more to them than you would think, and I like how this episode explored Alador more and that hes not a complete asshat, hes just, not really there.

Clearly he used to be happy and nice with his kids- Amity said that he used to actually talk with them and be there with them- until he got so caught up in his work. I dont know what pushed it to that extent, but my guess is Odalia, only bc she seems to push him to work harder on the Abomatons n shit bc thats how theyre makin a lot of money.

But he doesnt seem to try and control them as much as Odalia does, and he genuinely seems to care about the kids more than her. He’s willing to talk to Amity, sort of, it took almost the full episode, but still, more than Odalia seems to, and he hears her out.

Also, Amity not hugging him when he tried to hug her and shaking his hand instead? Amazing. Both clearly love each other and want to build their relationship back up again, but it needs time to do that, like with Willow and Amity’s relationship.

Idk I just want to appreciate this bc its not just a “okay youre fully forgiven” and its actually gonna build back up to that like with Willow and Amity.
