Laurel is a librarian/historian who splits her time between maintaining the public library's archives and giving historic walking tours of Chestnut Ridge. Though, just to be clear, the pictures that I post aren´t really drawings that I painted, they´re just edited screenshots of builds I made in The Sims (sadly I don´t have any real artistic skills ^^) But of course you can totally use them for your story, which sounds really interesting btw! 2. Hi sweetie! Thank you so much, that´s really sweet of you to say  ❤ I have watched some speed build videos in my time as a simmer, and I´m always super impressed by those people who manage to sit down and just create a whole lot in one go from start to finish. That´s not really how I work though (I don´t have the dedication and discipline for that I think ^^) It often takes me days if not weeks (or in case of my current build, even months ^^) to finish a build, if I even make it that far and don´t lose interest t halfway through (which happens more often than I would like to admit tbh). Plus, I rarely start a build with everything I wanna do planned out in my mind, I rather just go with the flow and see what looks good, so a speed build process would be a hot mess for sure ^^ But I can totally see how some behind the scenes stuff can be super interesting to a lot of people, so maybe I´ll post some screenshots of my unfinished builds sometime, so you can see that the pictures I post definitely don´t look like the real thing ^^

I know I´m really terrible when it comes to uploading builds, it´s just so much work and takes so much time that I´d rather spend with making more builds ^^ Plus, I rarely really finish my builds, I just decorate enough that I can take some decent pictures and then I´m not interested anymore ^^ (I know, I´m terrible) But you guys are always so sweet and supportive, so I realy think you deserve an awesome build that´s actually complete and finished, so I hope I´ll find some time to give you something soon :)

5. Hi! You may think I use a super cool and expensive computer, but sadly that´s not the case at all ^^ My laptops is actually kinda old now as well, I got it 5 years ago, and it was second hand ...It´s an Asus F751L, so nothing special at all really ^^ It just manages to run The Sims relatively smoothly, but that´s it more or less, apart from the old Dragon Age titles I don´t have any other games on it, All the other stuff I frequently play is on console, so.....Sorry if that disappoints you ^^

Hello all! :)

So, I started out wanting to convert hairs for kids and toddlers for myself because I feel that kids and toddlers are incredibly lacking CAS content. It took me several months to figure this out. I had some great tips and help from @peachibloom ; (Thank you so much once again!) but, I could never get it to work. I kept running into issues and eventually gave up. 

However, this was sitting in the back of my mind as I cannot just “give up”. It’ll make me crazy, because it’s something I really wanted to do! And FINALLY, finally after many, many attempts. I got this hair to work! 

I have no idea if this hair has already been converted and I apologize, if so. But this is a newish hair from @aharris00britney ; and I wasn’t going to post it, but I was just so happy that I figured I’d share my excitement!

I really like shorter hairstyles on kids and toddlers as I feel like longer hair just looks a little.. odd, at times. So, I will be converting this hair to toddler’s soon!

Sorry for the rambles! I promise the next downloads won’t be this long.

Hello there, I’m alright! :)

Hi guys! Long time I haven’t log in :O can’t believe my last update was back in March!

I have missed this community and simming so much, but I’m not sure if I’ll be back “full time” anytime soon...

First of all, I want to apologise for not saying anything so far (thank you so much for the lovely messages, I really appreciate some of you were worried) but, I can assure you, I’m perfectly fine - maybe more than ever! I will sum up my past 3 months in the next lines, if anyone is interested lol

So back in March I started the training course for this airline I’m working for and I was away from home for 3 weeks, in which I didn’t even have access to my laptop, despite my initial intention to keep simming. It was very intense but absolutely worth it! I’m so glad I’m back in aviation!

In those weeks I was very overwelmed with all the new stuff I was learning, I made new friends, detach myself from videogames... and a good time overall. I thought about posting something on tumblr more than once but, tbh, I kept post-poning for different reasons - I guess, it was better to “ignore” the whole thing rather than admitting that I didn’t have time to dedicate to my favourite game and this lovely community.

OInce at home (April) I had some time off and I wanted to go back in the game (literally and figuretively) but it didn’t feel right, nor I was eager to open TS2 or put my hands back on my pending projects... I mean, I never understood those people that were like “oh, I don’t have anymore time to play the game” or “real life has been too busy” and I’ve always thought some of them were being too dramatic but, now, I get it.

I guess there’s no a specific reason why, it just happens. One day are you thinking about a new storyline or sim makeover and the next you’re just a casual gamer on console. It’s weird, no one prevents me from doing both but I just don’t have the right focus to dedicate myself to TS anymore. It’s sad, I had so much in mind for my next projects and still have so many old ones to fix...

So, at this point, will I ever come back to simming or finish my projects? Maybe. I don’t want to think that my love for this game has just gone for ever but I’m not sure when (or if) it will happen.

Please don’t consider this a farewell post or some other dramatic exit, I just think I owe it to all of you and every single simmer that has made my tumblr experience one of the best online.

Please, feel free to do whatever you want with my creations -  although my simfileshare looks still fine it doesn’t mean it will be on for ever - finish my projects, continue with the remakes and TS1 database (I would gladly share the log in details if someone wants to take over) but, above all, keep playing this wonderful game until the end of time!

I hope my creativity will be back eventually and I’ll be able to sim online again - I’ll try to stick around a bit more often :*

Spring Cleaning

Long time no see! I just wanted to take the time out to make a little post about whats going on with me lately and the plans I have for the future.

Lately my rl has been pretty hectic and I have been trying to take things day by day and hope for the best. But things will still be pretty chaotic for me for a few more weeks. But ya know.... it can’t rain all the time.

Here soon I plan on returning to creating again for Sims 4, as well as being quite active once again. 

First thing is first... I need to do a little bit of spring cleaning. I will be changing my layout, preview pages, etc. New year... need a new everything.

I will be updating old custom content. This will be the last update for all of my old content unless a future patch breaks something. (Yes, mods will be updated as well.) It gets quite tiresome to go back and fix/update things all the time.  

I am missing a few of the new packs, and plan on getting them as soon as possible so that I can fill requests for those packs. As well as be able to update my mods to include the new content from these items I am missing. Until then, all mods/cc will be updated as far as I can with what I have.

Once I am done updating CC, I will be working on new content. I’m just going to go ahead and make myself not start on anything new until stuff is updated or I will just never get it done. So eventually... there will be new content from me.

Eventually my website will also be getting a makeover or will be moving to a new host, just not sure when.

I also will be adding an alternate form of download for all past/future creations. There will still be a Mediafire and SimFileShare options, but I will also be posting everything to Sims Community for you to download. (Note: SC download option will not be available until everything gets updated.)

I have also cleaned out my game. 100%. I will be ending all past stories and starting fresh this year. I have lost most of everything I had for my past stories when my hard drive died. It would be to hard to try to get it all back and pick up where I left off. 

One of the biggest things I have decided to do was pick days that I have set aside each week to do sims things so that I can 1. Have time for other things/games 2. Not get burnt out so fast on Sims. I have a feeling that I will be doing Sims Stuff on the Weekends but until things get back to normal I really cant say for sure.

But, ill be stalking around from time to time. As well as posting a few updates for CC as I get a chance for the next few weeks. But see you guys again soon ~~ <3
