My Fathers Daughter pt 11
Okay! so here's part 11 <3
It has been so busy in my life lately, I just started a new job so I'm getting used to that. I'm also thinking of starting a patron? But honestly I don't think I'm good enough to charge people to read my stuff plus I'd feel bad.Idk if thats something I should look into let me know.
Summary: This is basically set up for the more important chapters
Tumblr media
You are going crazy.
Like literally insane. You might end up on the news honestly.
These people are driving you insane. And it's so boring! After the initial feeling of anger and resentment passed, and that awkward conversation with Dick you made a decision.
You were going to make the best of this situation. There was no point in wallowing in self pity when you were already there. Just like Jason said, you can let the anger consume you or you can make it work.
You're making it work.
You started out slowly. As much as the thought of just walking out and pretending like everything was normal amuses you, you realize that it may not be the best choice given that you have been surly most of your stay here. So you made a plan.
First you started by waking up early and offering to help Alfred with breakfast. Because of there was anyone you wanted to win over it was him. He was certainly surprised at the offer but didn't turn you down. He had you mixing the pancake batter because the one time he let you try, you ended up burning the pan and the pancake. Hey, you were still a rich kid no matter how independent you were. You also set the table, and while you were doing that everyone started waking up and coming down stairs.
No surprise that Christine was the first one down.
"Y/n!" She says in shock," Good morning! What..what are you doing? Is everything okay?"
You look up from the plates you were setting down, "Uh..yeah, I just..I just wanted to see if Alfred needed any help."
Christine, despite the common consensus, was not a dumb woman by any means. She knows that she has come on wayyy too strongly when it comes to mending her relationship with you. She really couldn't help it, the guilt has been eating her alive. But seeing you here, downstairs talking Alfreds ear off and setting the table, makes her want to take a step back and recalculate her approach. So, instead of loading you with questions and offers to have girl time woth you, she simply beams a bright, genuine smile and says
"I'm glad you did, Alfred tends to overwork himself even though he won't admit it." Smiling when she hears Alfred scoff from the kitchen, " Thank you."
You stare at her. Not really knowing what exactly to say, but you're saved from responding when Tim and Damian come stomping down the stairs, bickering.
"I am telling you only once Timothy, the next time you hog the shower-"
'Damian dude there are like five other bathrooms, why do you insist on using-" "You know that that shower has the best water pressure!"
The arguing ceases when they notice you downstairs.
"Oh, so you're taking to ruining our day before it even begins then" Damian says snidely.
"Oh yeah," You reply, " Nothing makes me get up faster in the morning than the thought of specifically ruining the day of a preschooler."
Damian just tsks and takes a seat. The glares of his mother and butler daring him to make another remark that might scare you off.
Tim just looks at the two of you and flashes you a soft smile saying a quick good morning and takes a seat. He really doesn't know what to do around you. He has a feeling that maybe the two of you can get along, but so far the hostility you harbor towards his mother figure has really put him off you. Logically of course he understands, the history the two of you have is enough to make anyone hate his mothers' actions. But despite that, Christine is his mother. And he's only known you for a few months. he also feels that even if there is bad blood between you and Christine, there is no reason to take it out on his brothers. They didn't directly have a hand in Christines actions. But again, your hard feelings make sense. It was a very complex situation.
Bruce was the last one to come down. He was already dressed in a nice suit and tie, kissing Christine on the cheek and mumbling a quick good morning to the boys. Upon seeing you at the table, he pauses, gives a soft smile and ruffles your hair with a "good morning Y/n, thank you for setting the table." Grabbing his quick breakfast and nodding goodbye.
It leaves you stunned. He acted so casually, as if you've been setting tables here you're whole life. But that might be the one thing you appreciate about Bruce you're entire stay here.
The rare times you would leave your room and be in his presence, he would treat you just as he treated his other children. There was no forced conversations or abrasive and demanding questions. No ill will towards you because of the circumstances. Just Bruce rolling and adapting with the punches.
You guessed that maybe him being Batman, he's probably deducted that you don't like the way everyone (Christine and Dick) has made such a big fuss over you being at the Manor. Or maybe he's just adopted enough kids to know what tactics work and what don't.
Who knows.
Breakfast goes by without too much conversation, except for a few snide remarks from Damian that everyone ignores. And the day goes by pretty slowly. Until night time.
Now, you knew coming to Gotham that it's basically the Crime Capital of America. But actually being in the city watching it from your living room is a whole other story.
Joker is loose in the city causing absolute mania. He has taken over the main hospital, lacing ivs with his poison, causing hundreds of patients to go insane. The screams and manic laughter can be heard from outside the hospital, that is being featured on the news. Just watching through your screen and knowing that you aren't able to get a first person POV is absolutely killing you.
The manor is silent all night. You go downstairs to ask Alfred some questions and he is nowhere to be found. Neither is Christine or Bruce. Damian gone. Tim? nowhere . Dick and Jason not there. The girls are missing as well.
Now, if you were anyone other than Tony Starks daughter, you would find the disappearance of the Wayne family during Jokers terrorist event to be pretty concerning. However you did manage to inherit some of your fathers smarts and managed to deduce that Bruce Wayne was the vigilante Batman and his sons were his sidekick Robin. Honestly you found out a long time ago when you were trying to hack into Wayne enterprises to pull a prank when your father came back from a gala annoyed. But now you were just getting stir crazy.
You were watching as all these innocent people were getting their minds turned on them in their most vulnerable moments. And it seems as if Batman is having a hard time creating an antidote as well as contain the hospital grounds. So you do what you do best and hack into the Batcomputer. You skim through files about previous interactions with the Joker and his venom, noting that this man has been basically let off the hook wayyyy to easily for the atrocities he commits but that none of your business.
You manage to find a pattern when it comes to the way that the Joker creates his venom and the additional components he adds to it to make it more potent. This most recent upgrade, he had to add a certain chemical that wouldn't burn the victims veins upon entry and would quickly affect their minds. There was one chemical that you knew about when you were researching Hydras mind controlling tactics back when you had first met Bucky and wanted to help him. Immediately you realize that it is the same chemical that the Joker must have put into the IVs and rush out to tell somebody.
Only, nobody's in the manor. Amd you have no idea how to reach them.
So, you figure that Bruce must have a "secret lair" of some sort and got exploring. You honestly get lost a couple of times, and come across a grandfather clock, noticing that the time is wrong. You move the hands, hearing a hiss and scraping. You turn and see the staircase behind a bookshelf.
Bingo.
You slowly walk to the door, heart pounding.
Despite being occasionally involved in your fathers infamous superhero lifestyle, you didn't know how Bruce and the others will react to you being upfront about your knowledge of their double life. So far, they have been content on ignoring the fact that you have hinted multiple times about you knowing their secret. Even Jason will redirect conversations if you mention the strange lack of vigilante activity that Gotham was to famous for. For the few months you have been in Gotham, it seems as if anything having to do with the Bat, whether its news articles or reports, has seemed to disappear. And you feel as if it was purposeful.
You were supposed to be laying low, and how can you do that if you throw yourself into the night life.
And now that you are truly seeing the cruelties of said nightlife first hand, you're glad you have been shelter from it. It was one thing to see it on a computer screen, it was another to see it in real time.
You finally reach the bottom of the staircase, slightly out of breath as it really was a long way down and you were rushing. You look around seeing a cave made of limestone. When entering the cave you noticed the musty air usual caves have was not there. Platforms connected to each other as water ran by the sides. You saw a....t rex and a giant penny? As well as many other what you assume is memorabilia from previous fights. Clear cases containing multiple versions of the Batman and robin suits. There were different gadgets and weapons' lining the walls, a training area, a replica hospital area, as well as a freaking platform for the Batmobile.
Honestly it blew your mind that Bruce has enough time ans the resources to make this cave so extravagant. But you guess that thats what rich people tend to--
"Y/n?!"
A panicked voice breaks your train of thought. You look up to see Christine rushing towards you in a panic, " What are you doing down here?! I told them I didn't want you to be in this!"
Excuse me?
"Excuse me? What do you mean you told them?" You said in shock anger starting to slowly simmer in your body.
Before an argument could start, Alfred gave a quick
"Miss Christine, perhaps this isn't the best moment for your overprotective mother routine."
Before he returned to the massive collections of screens that looked like a supercomputer. It was showing the first person povs of what looked like multiple people. And it was bad.
In one screen, someone was trying to pry off what looked like a crazed hospital patient from another one. In another screen, someone was trying to get the non infected patients and doctors safely out of the trashed hospital only to encounter men in clown makeup. The worst one was the screen that was obviously Bruce/Batman, being mercilessly taunted by non other than the Joker clad in a stereotypical doctors outfit. His cruel smile twisting and he menacingly loomed over a woman who was petrified. She was being held down by some of the Jokers' henchmen as he stalked towards her with a syringe filled with a clear unidentified liquid. Batman was fighting a hoard off Jokerfied hospital patients, all crazed with maniacal laughter that sent a chill down your spine. Wide crazed smiles filled every screen you looked at no matter who's point of view it was. It made you a little worried about little Damian. Even if he was a pain, he was a child. There is no way he should've been out there.
Christine pursed her lips at Alfreds remark and nodded, probably setting a mental reminder to lecture you later before heading to a smaller set of computers.
"What are you doing?" You ask following her, wanting to get away from the horrifying scene on the main one.
"I'm trying to find some sort of antidote. Every one we usually use seems to make this one stronger." Christine says grimly. You watched for a bit, wondering how someone could do this to innocent people.
"I think I can help with that." You say, but before you are able to continue your speech, Christine cut you off.
"No. No way. Y/n as your mother I cannot let you get involved in this. No way"
You frown, " What do you mean no? I don't think the lot of you have many options at this point Christine."
"I said no. I am not letting another one of my children get ducked up in this life. Go back upstairs." Christine demanded in a stern voice.
Honestly it made you more amused than scared. She really didn't have the same grip of fear Pepper had when she was angry with you.
"Christine if you would just list--"
"Y/n thats enough! Go back to your room and wait for me up there young lady."
"This isn't some parental disagreement this is life and death i can't stand by and let innocent people die just because you wanna play mommy." You say sternly.
Christine looks visibly hurt by your comment. But she looks back into the screen and says
"My family is out there risking their lives for those innocent people. If your father lets you run around unchecked during his mission then that's on him. I however will not let you endanger the lives of my children and husband as well as what seems like half the freaking population of Gotham. Now GO up stairs."
And with that she turns and heads back to the smaller set of computers and refuses to engage with you until you have no choice but to go back up the million flight of stairs back into the manor, then climb up the other flight leading back into your bedroom.
You were fuming.
You slammed the door upon entering your room and threw a pillow to harshly into the wall.
Hundreds of people might die or become permanently insane because of the stubbornness of one woman.
That's when you hear a chime go off from your desk. You look over to see your laptop.
The same laptop you happened to upgrade with protective features that allowed you to hack into hydra files.
The same laptop that you had used to hack into the Batcomputer. The same computer that was downstair...
With in a beat you wear sat in your desk, logging into your computer. You figured if the people downstair weren't going to listen to you, then maybe the ones in the field will.
You look around for what you think is a link to who you hope is bruce and say a small
"Hello?"
Whoever it was gave a pause, and then says
"Y/n? You finally decided to stop pretending you didn't know huh?

HAPPY BIRTHDAY QUEEN! I know it's your birthday and you will probably not write anything today, but let me suggest something topic related for another time maybe? You said you are having a bad time recently and I thought, why not make a one-shot with your fave clone, some birthday hurt and comfort? Maybe it helps you to feel better about what's going on? Love and best wishes!
Aaawww, Thank you! Oh wow, you are really calling me out right here 😅 But you know what? You might be right about this. Sorry to everyone else who have to wait a bit longer for their requests. Today is my day after all, right? 😅 Okay, here goes nothing...
Thank you for giving me the opportunity to indulge myself 😅
The Bad Batch (Tech) x F!Reader - The Birthday Misery
Tumblr media
Stress/Comfort/Generic Happy Ending/Fluff
_________________
The last weeks were exhausting, many things went wrong, things broke that had to be replaced quickly. Everything that can go wrong is going wrong to your left and right. Your salary is practically gone at the beginning of the month. Today is your birthday, and you haven't said anything to anyone, at least not to your new colleagues. Your old ones live way too far away anyway. You can't invite anyone, there's no money. You don't even have a cake or anything decent to eat in the house, no drinks to toast with, not even coffee. With a heavy sigh, you look at the clock and drink the tea you just brewed, because you don't feel like drinking tap water anymore. You hate these months when it feels like you're working for nothing, because you're getting absolutely nothing from the credits you earned, not even on your birthday. You hope Wrecker is kind enough to offer you some of his rations again, what you have in the house has to last at least two more weeks and is actually not even enough for one, if at all. But it's not just the money or the fact that you didn't eat properly in a week, it's the stress that makes you lose sleep, all the things that go sideways, and it feels you are alone with all that's on your mind. Putting on your gear, you make your way to the hangar where the Marauder is. You don't talk to Cid about a raise, that didn't work last time. When you see Tech standing by the ship, you smile, you are always happy to see him. You try to suppress your stomach growl with sheer willpower, you are embarrassed and don't want Tech to hear it. When he looks up and looks at you, you feel warm, but then your stomach growls again, and you fake a cough to drown it out. "Hi Tech." "Hello, dear. Are you not feeling well?" You blink, then realize he's referring to the cough. "No, I'm fine, just a dry throat." You almost jump out of your boots in shock when Hunter suddenly addresses you from the side, you didn't even see him before. "Have you had breakfast?" Several cogs mesh in your head. You know Hunter has very good hearing, and the coughing probably didn't fool him.
„Um, didn't have time, I'm afraid I overslept". Tech frowns and says, "You shouldn't go to work on an empty stomach" "I um-" Before you can reply anything, you hear Cid's voice, "There's the birthday girl." The next moment, her hand falls heavily on your shoulder. You want to sink into the ground, you don't need this attention right now, you can't celebrate either, you don't even have credits for a decent meal. "Birthday?" asks Tech quietly, looking confused. Hunter grins at you and pats you on the shoulder as well. "Happy birthday, ad'ika!" You feel uncomfortable, but force yourself to smile and thank him, before hastily distracting yourself by starting to load the Marauders with the goods that need to be delivered. Tech joins you and lends a hand. More or less casually, he asks, "Are you celebrating your birthday?" This is not a conversation you really wanted to engage in. "Um, no, not this year" "Why not? This would be the first year you've celebrated with us" Evasively, you say, "But I have to work today." "But tonight is your night off" he remarks matter-of-factly. With a sigh, you say, "I'll probably be tired." For a brief moment, Tech thinks and is silent, but then he says, "I'm sure my brothers would love to toast you as much as I would. Isn't that what people do?" His question is innocent and perfectly legitimate, but you feel pressured and retort, "I can't do that" "Why not?"
You set the box you were about to pick up back down with a deep sigh and say, "Please don't tell the others, but I can't even afford the breakfast caf right now. So I can't buy a round on my birthday" Tech blinks again, then reaches into a pocket on his belt. "I could-" "No, Tech, that's sweet of you, but you don't have to" "I know but-" You put your hand on his to stop him from getting credits out of the pocket, gently but firmly. You kiss his cheek and say softly, "That's incredibly sweet of you, but I'd just rather we forget about it, okay?" Tech hesitates, his cheeks blushing a little. You realize you've never been this close to him before. "Well, if that's your wish," he finally says, giving in to you. A little unsure, you say, "Sorry about the kiss, I didn't mean to cross any lines I-" "It's okay, it didn't bother me.... on the contrary" You smile shyly at each other before you both dive back into work to distract yourselves.

You are shaky and tired as you make your way to your apartment in the evening. You're shaky because you're lacking nutrients, you haven't eaten anything all day except for a protein bar, and yet you've been working hard. When the batch had already finished work, you did a few small errands for Cid, today of all days. Outside your apartment, however, you encounter something unexpected. Tech, Hunter, Wrecker, Echo and Crosshair are standing there, each of them having filled bags which contents you can't immediately recognize. "Hey ad'ika!" exclaims Wrecker with a laugh, "You're slow today!" Puzzled, you ask, "What are you all doing here?" "We came to celebrate your birthday," Echo says, holding up one of the bags, "We brought drinks and food. We thought that you would be happy about it" Your heart does a little leap, you get all warm and a little dizzy too. You look from one to the other. "You brought things?" "Of course, the birthday girl is getting spoiled today," Hunter says with a grin. Crosshair grumbles, "Don't look at me, I was forced to come here". You can't help but laugh at his dry comment. "I actually believe you," you say, amused, but with a reproving look at Tech you say, "Didn't I ask you not to tell anyone?" As your stomach growls loudly again, Tech says, "We should go inside and eat something" "Yeah, let's make a base for the Spotchka," Wrecker rumbles happily. Tech has come up with something nice, a tabletop grill on which everyone can make their own food while sitting around it in a convivial circle. Fish, meat, vegetables and fruit, the guys have brought of course also dips and sauces. Echo and Tech shoo you out of your own kitchen to prepare the ingredients for the table grill and distribute them in bowls. As you're about to at least set the table, Wrecker grabs you by the shoulders and gently but firmly shoves you into a chair. "You wait here until everything is ready," he says with a wink. "Um... okay, cool." You grin inanely to yourself the whole time, you can't quite grasp what's happening here yet, but it feels great. The guys are just wonderful. What you thought was going to be the worst birthday in a long time turns into the best birthday of your life so far.
You all eat together, you have not been so full for a long time. After that, plenty of Spotchka flows, dirty jokes are told and board games and card games are unpacked. You haven't laughed so much in a long time.

Sunday Coffee Date
Tumblr media
Trigger warning: just fluff.
Summary: You and Andy go on a coffee date with Joy.
It's a beautiful early summer day, and it's a Sunday. You and Andy often took advantage of the warmer weather, and Joy Grace is only ten weeks old right now. Andy didn't have to sit and prepare a case, and it was nice just to have a day where you could spend time together as a family. That started to fall by the wayside when he was still married to Laurie, and Jacob and Laurie were still alive. Laurie would often meet with her affair partner on Sundays. It was when Andy caught on that he realized that his marriage was not only a lie, it had been dead in the water for a while by the time Andy realized that Laurie was having an affair. Andy tried to discuss many times over about Laurie's affair, but she just kept shutting it down, saying that it was only a one time thing. The affair had been going for two years, and Jacob was hanging out with the wrong crowd. This lead both Laurie and Jacob to making some destructive choices.
Andy saw you as a second chance. He saw you as a new beginning. If you hadn't stopped in for coffee that morning two and a half years ago, he would be a bachelor wasting his nights drinking beer in front of the TV, getting up, and going to work the next morning. He would just be existing, and that was no way to live.
It had been weeks since you felt like you had left the house, and you were lucky that you were able to take a shower. You showered every day thanks to Andy, he would often stay home and work for a bit while you showered. He would often dress Joy, and get her settled down for the morning. Andy would be in his office with Joy, while you showered and dressed for the day. Andy would often make you breakfast to make you sure you were eating something. You were breastfeeding, so you needed all the energy you could get. Andy always made sure you had plenty of water when you fed Joy. Andy would often leave for the office after you fed and burped Joy.
Today, Andy and you wanted to have a coffee date, with Joy. You were busy making sure that Joy's diaper bag had plenty of diapers, plenty of wipes, and some toys for her.
"Baby, don't worry. We're going to have a nice day in the warm weather today," says Andy, kissing your forehead.
Tumblr media
You pack Joy in her infant seat, and load it into the Audi. You get in and fasten your seatbelt, and Andy gets in. You two drive to the Starbucks, and you and Andy both order some coffee. You both get creamer and sugar in both of yours.
Tumblr media
You and Andy and Joy are walking around the pedestrian mall, with no shopping to do, and no where to go. You and Andy sneak a look at Joy, and steal kisses every once in a while. You just don't want this to end.
After a while, Joy cries, and you sit down on a bench, and place her under your shirt, and start to feed her. Andy goes and gets you some water, and is holding the water bottle, giving you sips from it after a while.
Tumblr media
"I love this, I love you so much", says Andy, who is smiling at such the wholesome site. You were all sitting on a bench, and you were feeding Joy. After a while, you burp Joy, and then you repeat. Andy kisses the top of your head, and you both get up. Joy falls asleep again, and this time, you are both headed to your favorite lunch spot, which is further down the road, and has views of the water. There's even smaller stores, and most of them are boutiques, and there's your favorite yarn shop.
Tumblr media
Andy and you are driving, and you and Joy are peacefully napping in the car. Andy arrives, and gets out. He pulls out the stroller, and gets Joy out of her car seat.
"Andy, this is wonderful. Thank you so much. I love you so much, you are such a wonderful husband", you say.
"I love you, too," says Andy, intertwining his fingers with yours, and kissing your hand. He knows that you mean every word of it, too. Laurie and Jacob took Andy for granted, often casting him aside. Andy felt like he was just in the background when it came to Laurie and Jacob.
Tumblr media
You and Andy walk around some more, and then eventually get in the car again. You are both headed to your favorite seafood place, and you both get salad and clam chowder. You eat your dinner, and then walk around some more.
Tumblr media
"I love you," says Andy, with loving smile on his face.
"I love you, too, Andy" you say, giving Andy a loving kiss.
Tumblr media
Joy is sleeping in her car seat, and you change her diaper when she gets home. Andy brushes his teeth, and gets his sweats on t-shirt on, while you brush your teeth, wash your face, and get your pajamas on.
You and Andy had an amazing coffee date that turned into a wonderful day with Joy.
Andy looks at you with love and awe. Andy never thought his heart would be so full of love, and it's all thanks to you and Joy.

Interrogation
Pairing: Blake Gallo x Halstead! reader
Summary: Y/n and Blake had been seeing each other for a few months, and of course, being the overprotective brothers that they are, Will and Jay need to interrogate Blake to figure out his intentions with their sister
Requested: Yes, by anonymous
Warnings: slight swearing
Word Count: 1,129 Words
Tumblr media
"Do we have to go to work?" I mumble tiredly as Blake shut off his alarm clock.
"If we don't want to be fired, yes," Blake responded and turned to face me. "Besides, you love work, so I don't see what the problem is."
"The problem is that I'd have to leave this bed," I declare. "And my favorite person just so happens to also be here."
Blake smiled and leaned down to press a quick kiss to my lips. "As much as I'd love to stay here with you all day, we do have to get ready."
"Ugh," I groan and sit up. "Fine." I quickly changed into some of my clothes that I left at Blake's apartment, and once we were both ready, we left to get to work. And after about two hours at the firehouse, I realized something I somehow hadn't noticed the past few days.
"Hey, Y/n," Matt greeted me as I entered the break room. "What's up?"
"Have you seen Blake?" I ask and glance around.
"Gallo? Uh, I think him and Ritter were on the app floor," Matt told me.
"Great. Thank you," I say and head off towards the apparatus floor to find my boyfriend. I found him standing next to Truck 81, staring out the closed garage doors. I frowned and followed his gaze, not seeing anyone or anything outside, but ignored that and walked over to him, wrapping my arms around him from behind. "Hey, Blake. What are you looking at?"
"N-nothing," Blake stuttered and turned around to face me, pulling to against his chest. "What's up?"
"I realized something like twenty minutes ago that somehow both of us seemed to forget. It wasn't until I saw the snow outside and all of the decorations up around the firehouse that I realized it's our first Christmas together," I inform him.
"I didn't even....how did we both forget?" Blake quizzed.
I shrugged. "I don't know. We've been so busy between work and stuff, so maybe that's why."
"Well, Merry early Christmas," Blake wished me and kissed me.
"Oh, I also wanted to remind you that it's your turn to cook breakfast for everyone today. The Squad guys are already congregating in the kitchen, and I'm getting a bit hungry myself. Maybe you could make pancakes," I propose.
"I will get right on it," Blake confirmed and released his grip on my waist. "I'll see you in there."
As Blake made his way towards the kitchen, I turned back to the garage doors, curious as to what Blake could have been staring at earlier. But just like before, I didn't see anything, so I just shrugged it off. He could've just been daydreaming or lost in thought. My stomach then growled, telling me that it was time to eat, and with that, I began to walk to the break room to wait for breakfast.
.............................................
"Y/n, hey!" Stella shouted and jogged over to me as I was approaching my car. "All of us were thinking about going to Molly's to hang out. You want to come?"
"Uh, sure," I reply. "I've just got a few things to do at my apartment, but I should be there within the hour."
"Great. See you there," Stella chirped.
At my apartment, I tidied up a bit because I hadn't been there recently, spending most of my time at Blake's. Once I was done with that, I threw in a load of laundry before grabbing my things and heading out. When I got to Molly's, everyone was already there, so I approached the bar to grab myself a drink.
"Hey Herrmann. One beer please," I tell the bartender. "You know my favorite."
"Gotcha. Coming right up," Herrmann said and walked off to grab me a beer. He came back seconds later and popped the cap off for me, placing the bottle in front of me. "Here you go. So, I was surprised to see your brothers at the station."
I frowned. "What are you talking about?"
"Jay and Will were at 51 talking to Gallo," Herrmann informed me. "What, you didn't know? I thought maybe they were asking him if he knew where you were."
"I did not know that," I confess and take my beer. "Thanks, Herrmann. I'll see you in a bit. With a beer in my hand, I wandered off in search for my boyfriend, and I found him with Ritter. "Hey, Ritter. Mind if I steal him for a second?"
"He's all yours," Ritter offered. I smiled softly at him and then grabbed my boyfriend by the hand, dragging him over to my two brothers, who were sitting at a table at the back of the bar.
"Hey, Y/n. What's up?" Will asked as the two of us neared them.
"I want to know what the two of you were doing at 51 this shift," I prod. "More importantly, what were you talking to Blake about."
"They were-"
I cut Blake off. "No no no. I want to hear it from them. Come on. Spill it."
"Okay, so we may have stopped by to talk to Blake," Jay put forth.
"Talk isn't really the right word," Will interrupted. "More like we grilled him."
"Will!" Jay hissed and glared in Will's direction.
"What? She asked. We may as well tell her the truth," Will defended.
"Ugh," I groan. "You guys do this every single time I have a boyfriend. And you never approve of them. Ever. So I'm not gonna sit here and let you talk shit about-"
"We approve," Jay interjected.
"W-what?" I stutter.
"We think Blake's great," Will reiterated. "You guys seem good together."
"Good," Blake breathed out. "I've been worried all day about what you guys thought."
"You could've just told me that you wanted to get to know Blake better," I say. "I could've set up a dinner or something. When you do it behind me back it makes me feel like you guys don't trust me and the people I hang out with."
"Sorry," Jay apologized. "It won't happen again. You know, we never got to finish talking earlier though. Both of us had a shift to get to. So if you don't mind..."
"I'm down to talk to you guys," Blake admitted and slid into the open chair.
"Are you gonna be okay here for a bit while I make my rounds?" I question.
"Yeah. I'll be okay," Blake assured me.
"Okay. I'll be back shortly. And you two," I murmur and turn to look in the direction of my brothers. "Go easy on him. Don't be assholes."
Will held up his hands. "We won't. Promise."
"Great," I confirm and lean over to press a kiss to Blake's cheek. "See you in a few."

Fix me - Part Eight
Tumblr media
Summary: You reach out to the local "freak"/drug dealer for some kind of escape after your mom dies. Turns out he's the escape you needed.
Caution: reader is 18. DNI unless you are 18+
Kissing, boob play, drug use.
..................................................................................
"No! Mom!" I screamed and sat straight up in bed. I looked around and didn't realize where I was. "Are you ok!?" Eddie yells as he runs in the room. His uncle, Wayne Munson wasn't far behind him.
Out of terror from my nightmare and embarrassment from Wayne seeing me in my slutty p.j.s, I broke down and cried. Eddie wrapped me into him. "Shhh, its alright. Its okay. Y/n, look at me." I tried to wipe away a few tears as I watched Eddie signal to his Uncle that I was fine...and to get the fuck out! "You're ok, I've got you, y/n. You just had a bad dream" he said softly as he held me close. "I'm so sorry, Eddie." I say, still pouring out tears.
"What are you sorry for?" He assured me. "You're fine." Eddie held me there on his bed, until I calmed down. "What was that about, y/n?" I had to tell him. "I've had this reoccurring nightmare about my mom, ever since she died. That's why I came to you in the first place. I was hoping it would give me an escape. To forget about her. "
Eddie leaned in and kissed my tear soaked cheek. "You don't want to forget about her, like just the nightmares, right?" His voice got sadder. "No, Eddie. Forget her. I don't have any memories of her from before she was sick. All I see now is her failing body, and I am sad all the time." Tears come down again. "The only thing that has helped is you these past couple days. You and smoking. When I'm with you, awake I don't think about her. When I got to bed high, I don't dream about her."
Eddie is speechless at this point. Its ok, because, what could he say? He just layed next to me and rubbed my head. "Do-do you...wanna get high right now?" He asked quietly. "I-I don't know Eddie. Maybe?" Eddie sat up and grabbed a different box than he usual had with him. He pulled out some weed and rolled a joint. "Here, you light it." He said as he handed it to me. "Go ahead and smoke what you want, I'll be back in a minute." He got up and left the room. Where was he going?
I heard him shuffling around in the kitchen. Pans clattering around, and his uncle chuckling. I lit the joint and looked at the clock. Fuck! Its 2 o'clock! Oh my God, I was going to be in so much trouble. Might as well live it up now, because I'm screwed when I get home.
I took a couple more hits. Whatever he gave me was strong, and I couldn't handle it. I found his ashtray covered under a pair of jeans and put it out. I grabbed his hellfire shirt that was on the floor, and put it on to cover me. I was much more interested in what Eddie was doing in the kitchen. So I headed in there. I found him and his uncle cooking breakfast (lunch. But breakfast food). The radio was jamming to some oldies and Eddie was plating up some eggs. "Hey, princess. I was just about to head back in there. Nice shirt." His eyebrows raised at me noticing his hellfire tee. He scooted the plate across the counter to an empty stool. "Sit." He nodded to the chair. "There's eggs, toast, bacon, and sausage. I didn't know which one you'd want." He was so proud of himself. And I was head over heels. This was the nicest thing anyone had done for me. "It looks great Eddie! Thank you!"
His uncle made his plate and leaned against the opposite counter. "Eddie and I agreed that food was the answer to this problem." He said smiling. I didn't know about Eddie's parents, but the smile was definitely a generational thing.
Eddie loaded his plate with as much as he could fit and came to sit next to me. My eyes widen at the site of it. "What!? I'm a growing boy!" He chuckled. We all laughed at that one.
These two men were wonderful. We spent the better part of an hour eating, talking, and laughing. I liked it here at Eddie's. I felt normal here. I felt safer here. Nightmares or not. It felt right being here...with him.
Eddie got up and went to his room for something and left me and Wayne alone. "He likes you, y/n." Wayne said stone faced. "Dont hurt my boy, okay?" Damn. What has Eddie gone through for Wayne to come at me with this. "I won't Wayne, I promise." I did promise. Eddie came back out with that joint in his mouth. "Want some Wayne?" He asked handing it to him. "Nah, kid I better head into work now. I got that double tonight." Wayne threw on his hat, grabbed his keys and left. When the door shut you could hear him holler "Behave!" Eddie and I busted out laughing.
"Well, princess, we're alone again. Are you feeling better?" "Much better." I say getting up from my stool and walking over to him. I took the joint that was dangling in his mouth and kissed him. Hard. I think I'm falling for him.
The more I held my kiss. The more passionate it got. It lasted long enough for the ash on the joint to grow long and fall off, burning my finger tip. It didn't stop me. Eddie came up for air and grinned at me. He grabbed the joint, hit it, then threw it in the sink. Man, he really doesn't care where his joints go.
Eddie picked me up and sat me on the counter. "I really like that shirt on you, baby. But right now it'll look better on the floor."
"Lock the door, Eddie." I said, tilting my head towards the front door. Eddie rushed and locked the door. When he turned around, I lifted his shirt off, leaving my pajama top. "Nuh uh, princess, the other one too." He said inching closer to me. Off came the top and I threw it on top of his. I sat there and watched him watch me. "You are perfect, y/n." He said. "Perfect." He walked over and cupped both of my breasts. He pressed his face into them for a moment, then proceeded to lick both my nipples simultaneously. "Oh my God, eddie." I moan out as I grab fistfulls of his hair. He stopped sucking only to kiss me more. "I want inside that mouth, princess." He growled. "Get on your knees."
"Yes, daddy." I obeyed.

So weird stuff happens to me. I was thinking what one of my grade school teachers would think of me now. I don't think she liked me much at the time I was in her class. As an adult I can see why she hated me.
The first incident was in the winter. I was sick and my parents both worked. They asked if I really needed to stay home. I said I'd try to make it through the day. Well, I was going through tissues like crazy. 2 boxes I think. I finally drew the line and told the teacher I didn't feel well. At the time what the school had to tell if you were sick was the one fashioned temperature strips. There was a nurse's office but no nurse. During recess the 8th graders were the nurse. My temperature registered a 98.1. The teacher obviously thought I was faking and told me I had to take the test we were about to take. I then was allowed to go lay down in the nurse's office.(A cot in the stairway to the attic) Neither of my parents were available. My neighbor came and picked me up.(She was listed as an Emergency contact.) My parents came home and called the doctor. My temperature was actually 104.5. I was hallucinating that night. I had Pneumonia. I was out of school for two weeks. When I returned we purchased the school a new thermometer. The still had that same thermometer when I graduated 4 years later.

She was also one of those teachers who loaded you with homework. So much so that I couldn't finish it in 4 hours. When I complained to my parents they asked how the other kids were managing to do their work. I asked my classmates. Their answer? Their parents were doing it! I told my parents and they came in to complain. The teacher lessened the amount of homework but she wasn't to thrilled with me.

Then(with the same teacher) we had the standardized testing that America makes all its students take. I apparently tested high. This teacher wanted to skip me to a different class, two years ahead of where I was then. I wonder how much it was about the test scores and how much she wanted me out of her class. She was also teaching the class ahead of us for Religion class because the next teacher wasn't Catholic. (Did I mention I went to Catholic School?) I think that's why she wanted to skip me two grades. My parents decided that would be bad for my social development.(Anyone that knows me will laugh at that part.)
Tumblr media
The final issue was the last day of school. We traditionally had a quarter day.(Dismissal was at 10:45am) I was going home to eat lunch anyway so I decided that I didn't need breakfast. I didn't eat much in the morning anyway. So we also traditionally had a Mass for the last day of school. I passed out mid-Mass in the front pew. When the teacher came up to me, she asked if I was okay. Unfortunately, I couldn't hear what she said, so I just nodded. I ate as soon as I got home. She never told my parents about it. When my Dad found out about years later he was not thrilled. I should have been sent home. And passing out is not normal for an 8-year-old.
Tumblr media
Unfortunately I had to deal with her after I was out of her class. Like I said, she taught religion the next year. She was also in charge of the school plays. I never got a lead and barely got speaking roles. I assume she despised me. I was able to memorize at that time and had a fairly decent singing voice. Our school plays were always musical. In fact, I was known for my memory. I now have a bad memory or at least a selective one. So there was no reason for her to barely give me any roles and no reason to not give me a song or two.
Tumblr media
Thinking back, I realize that she was a human being.(Although at the time, I was sure she wasn't.) She probably had a grudge against me and I admit I had some unique experiences in her care. But she was the adult and should have been able to separate her personal feelings from the teaching part of her persona.
I do wonder what she thinks about those experiences now...
